Koh Mak Buri Hut Natural Resort

We had an amazing stay at Buri Hut. The place is very quiet and the rooms are comfortable. The reception staff is lovely and always welcomed us with a smile. If I visit Koh Mak again, I will definitely go back there. Overall, it was a really great experience!

Rooms are good, view is decent, staff is caring, peaceful location.

Location is kind of offbeat, but that is fine. Not a dealbreaker

It was right on the beach and it had a restaurant and scooter rental

Restaurant had the hours that it was open, but it wasn’t open.

The atmosphere, the pool, the amazing views, the staff (so helpful and kind), the many cats. So many things to love about this place.

Nothing to say that I didn't like. Great place. Kinda weak bum gun I guess :)

De manager was heel hulpvaardig.

Het is wat meer voor gezinnen. En alles is erg blauw.

Personnel adorable.

Beautiful and quiet place, beautiful swimming pool, And beautiful vue, I recommend this place and I would like to stay more. You need a motobike to reach the center but all is very close

Amazing relaxing stay which I extended twice. Lovely staff, the manager speaks perfect English so easy to arrange everything. Rooms are a bit small and simple but everything you need and super comfortable beds. Good AC and hot water. The view is great and it’s really peaceful. The pool area is like a resort. No need to leave the site if you didn’t want to as you can get all meals there and use the kayaks, little beach etc.

The property is very remote which is great for peace but you need a moped realistically to go anywhere. Easy to arrange and roads very quiet for beginners but to walk to any restaurants it’s dark and spooky through the forest. WiFi generally slow. Would be great if a little extra cleaning in the bathroom was done for longer stays and a few more full length sun loungers by the pool.

Hotellin miljöö oli upea. Hotelli oli siisti ja sänky hyvä. Jääkaappi oli iloinen yllätys. Työntekijät olivat mukavia ja avuliaita. Hotellilta sai skootterin lainaan.

Zajtrk zelo dober.

Very very nice reception , kitchen and cleaning staff. Very good restaurant, super dishes. Beautifull setting / location.

They should include breakfast in the price. The beach at the place is not nice. Make the restaurant a lot more cosy Far away from everything (you need a scooter or bike)

The staff was amazing and super helpful

They didn’t come to clean for our stay

I loved the environment, the room, the location, all the facilities, the views, the friendly staff and the fantastic nature around 😍 Everything was so smoothly arranged. From pick up to drop off from the ferry and also scooter rental. Thank you! 🙏 Def wanna come back here 🤗

Very hard to find smth I didn't like! Only thing was that the wifi was not good only at the restaurant and reception.

Ik kan deze accommodatie zeker aanraden! Ons verblijf was geweldig.

Beautiful setting

Very dated

This resort was amazing! The bungalows are clean, comfortable and air conditioned. The pool is divine, really clean with very few chemicals. The food and resort staff are lovely!

Bee was amazing! She sorted me out even after I had misbooked my check out… changed my boat ticket and had me on time to the best option for that afternoon, no extra cost… and always with a smile! Can’t give her enough props.

For me all good!

Beautiful location , excellent staff , very helpful very clean and tidy would recommend and definitely will be back

Wonderful facility, great pool, perfect restaurant, quiet and staff were absolutely accomodating.

Beach area on nieghbours side could be cleaner..lots of garbage I

The location excellent but needed taxi yo get around. Loved tbe pier with swing seat. swimming pool lovely Huts were very comfortable and good views

Bar hours iratic On arrival day told bar open til 8 and it shut at 6 Restaurant also closed that evening Hotel offered taxi service but expensive in comparison to local taxis

Paradise! Beautifully landscaped, own tiny beach where you can swing over clear waters, gorgeous pool, super peaceful, nice restaurant, lovely, clean, round air-conditioning posh "huts', good hot showers and large dressing area. Plus the sweetest people working there! Very helpful. Only downsides, the rooms had no full length mirrors, and as I'm short, I could only ever see the top half of my head before I went out. PUT SOME MIRRORS IN THE ROOMS PLEASE! Also, you need to hire a bike/scooter, which the reception will glady organise for you, to get to any other cafe/ bar if you wanted to dine elsewhere, which made us feel slightly like hostages to their good, but somewhat-for-Thailand expensive restaurant. Still, compared to Europe, it's a bargain. And it is PARADISE! I spent my whole time there smiling.

So enjoyed our stay in our ocean view hut. Friendly attentive staff. The pool is amazing - clean warm and the view over the ocean is amazing. Due to the location not that near to a store it would be nice if they had refill water station. A few close restaurants that we walked to - about 20 mins. Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway

Very friendly and helpful staff . Amazing view of bay . This side of the island seems to be very quiet and peaceful and the perfect place to kayak around , the resort does have a bar and restaurant but you really do need to rent a motor bike to explore this amazing island

Amazing friendly staff. Peacefull relaxing place. Nice restaurant.

The only thing that can be improved are the blankets. it wasn't a down blanket but rather a fly blanket that felt greasy and a bit dirty.

Value for money! It was better than expected considering the price point. Resort is very well taken care of and all bungalows are being renovated. Fabulous views and lots of butterflies flying around the resort. Very clean Nice pool Nice staff!

Location is a bit out of the way, but the views are nice and the island is small, so not a biggie. Rent a motorbike or EV (golf cart) to get around. We first had breakfast near the pool bar, where there are superb views. Later this was unfortunately no longer possible and breakfast had to be had at the restaurant / bar, did not like this location and building. Small red sand beach (though resort is very honest that their beach is limited)

Perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of Thailand. The resort was very chilled. Decent pool and great scenery. The beds were very comfortable. B was very welcoming and hilarious.

Limited menu at the restaurant/bar which closes around 20:30.

Very nice place great staffs

The staff are incredible. They're friendly, sweet, welcoming, and fun. This place also not only overlooks the island but has a private entrance to the beach as well as its own swimming pool and restaurant in addition to that. The breakfast at the restaurant is good value for money as well. The staff are also extremely helpful when it comes to organizing things like transport, food, contacting tour companies, etc. Bonus points: - They have cats and dogs - The beds are shockingly comfy and I was given a bolster/side pillow as well, which I don't find often when travelling - The staff saw that it was my birthday and surprised me with a birthday waffle and ice cream, just so sweet. They even went the extra mile when I said I was hungry later that night when everything was closed, offering to show me around the island in case anything was still open.

The floors were slightly dusty, which I suspect might be due to sand. This is minor though and I'm just being picky. Excellent stay and I can't recommend this place enough. This is probably the best place to stay on the island.

Contact with Bee was fantastic, arranged pick up from the pier for us so we had a smooth and welcoming arrival to the resort along with their speciality elixir health drink! All the staff were friendly and helpful, the food and drinks served from the cafe were delicious. The pool was outstanding and the bungalows were beautiful, kept clean and tidy daily and restocked with water. The location is stunning with a small beach great for snorkelling and kayaking and a pier with a swing at the end to watch the most amazing sunsets over this truly beautiful island. We didn’t want to leave!!

Nothing it was all amazing.

Staff very friendly, quiet resort with a lovely view across the bay. Pool is lovely.

You do need a scooter but it is easy to rent one and very safe to drive in koh mak

Some staff were good

Room was dirty to begin with and then they didn’t clean it after first day. We stayed somewhere else the third night

The view is amazing ! The staff picked us at the harbor and drop us back when it was time to leave

The food at the restaurant, we stayed 5 days at the hotel and ate one time at the restaurant

Lovely location in natural setting. Clean and comfortable bungalows. Friendly staff

Only the Small poolside restaurant open at time of visit. Rather expensive and limited choice of beverages

Great pool and very helpful staff. Free pick up from pier was nice benefit.

Extremely nice staff,.very service orientated. Beautiful place directly on the ocean.

The staff and child facilities were absolutely lovely. They made everything in their power to make the stay as comfortable and fun as possible for our children and that is priceless. There was a playing ground that our 2.5 year old son loved. The swimming pool was great. If we knew how fantastic this place was, we would have stayed longer. It

Food was ok but nothing special and a bit expensive (since this is Thailand, that still means comparatively good and inexpensive food). Room was perfect for two adults but a bit narrow for two adults plus 2 small children. We knew that, however, and the staff made all efforts to still make it comfortable, which worked well.

The lovely ladies in reception are very helpful and welcoming The bed and pillows were comfortable. Quite location with stunning view. Lovely pier for fishing. The pool was excellent and a welcome relief from the sun with plenty of sun loungers and clean towels. Would definitely need a scooter to get around, which can be arranged at reception and also free transfers to the pier.

The TV was very old and didn't work but was not a problem for us. Didn't use restaurant but places a short ride away and good local supermarket.

Swimming pool has a nice view.

Not well maintained room, cracks in ceiling, very old and rusty fridge, AC didn't work properly and no remote for it, we asked for one and no one would help. No storage room at all, dusty, dirty bathroom. Overpriced for the quality, expected alot more.

It is good place with fine restaurant, very friendly and helpful reception lady, nice and very clean swimming pool and with possibility to rent a motorbike, which is very convenient.

The sea is not good for swimming, the water is muddy and not nice, as in many places of Koh Mak island.

Herrlich ruhige Anlage mit Blick aufs Meer. Sehr erholsam. Personal immer hilfsbereit.

Great little bungalow. Very quiet area.

Beautiful location: you have the beach for yourself. From the pool you have a direct view at the sea which is amazing. The food in the restro is delicious and the staff very nice. Facilities are great. There are no bugs in the bungalow, airco works great and the bathroom is huge. The hotel manager is also very kind and helpful. Its the most idyllic experience! I stayed here for 8 days due to a foot injury but I could have stayed forever. Really fell in love with this place!

It's a bit far from restaurants but the hotel staff can arrange a Motorbike for you or you rent a bicycle yourself. The island is very small thus there is no issue to get around. I would still choose to stay here due to amazing view

First I was really active on the island and the 2nd day I realised how beautiful the resort was and how excellent the restaurant. A good view on the sea and calm layed back place. Prices reasonable and fair

Location, staff, room.

Amazing view, comfy room and a great pool! Nice secluded location.

Nothing!

- Beautiful huts that overlook the sea - You can see sunrise beautifully and a partial sunset view - Swimming pool is fantastic, very clean, and amazing view - Comfortable bed and good working aircon - Helpful and friendly staff - the lady that manages the property is excellent at her role, and will help you with everything and is very kind - If you don’t rent a bike it is harder to get around but the hotel was happy to help with the taxi to get to other beaches and equally you can rent a motorbike from the hotel for 250baht per day - Friendly cats and dogs on the property

- considering there is no other restaurant in close walking distance, the restaurant on site could be better with more choices and open all times, and especially be open at the times they say they will be open! - Could offer a simple desert/ice cream - Prices for breakfast are expensive and not flexible as you have to pay 200 baht for a set - even if you don’t want everything on that particular set. For children this also does not work as they will not eat a full portion for 200baht, and you are not allowed to simply order something small for them such as toast/small pancake for a cheaper price.

Good staff. Not expensive. There are kids play area.

Too far from infrastructure. Everything is very old. Beach isn’t beautiful, isn’t suitable for swimming.

Lovely property just above the beach. Elegant landscaping. Well trained and friendly staff. Very quiet at night. Best pool deck I've seen.

Hut could use a little paint touch up and a new inside chair, but still reasonable.

The room was nice and clean. I enjoyed swimming in the pool and looking out over the ocean. The staff are friendly and they have three cute cats! They also organised scooter rentals and dropped me off at the pier when I left.

The restaurant service was slow but I was in no hurry to eat so I don’t really mind much.

It was a perfect tropical paradise. Staff and management amazing. Location perfect

When we arrive, we were the only guests. Kitchen was open but we had to order diner ahead. Rooms are oké, big bathroom. The view was fantastic, just beatiful. Infinity pool. For us the place was to far Swayze from other shops and restaurants, you needed a motorbike. Staff was very help full.

Moss puu is so helpful, she had booked all my ferries to koh Kood, she was so calm while helping me because I just crashed landed her resort, it was thai national holiday and too much overbooking in ferry’s, hotels. I wish to keep an active communication with her.

Sorry Puu, I didn’t get time to tell, The bike had no front break, the break wire was completely removed. It was not your fault.

Beautiful stunning property with beach view villas absolutely beautiful looks like it’s been set up in a rainforest

Quiet, peaceful, great views and good service

Bicycle rent option would be good

Absolutely worth it. And the restrant people first class. I recommend this place

The rooms amazing the view and the food

A wonderful place, super quiet and in a great location, all beach viewpoints are easy to reach, I recommend the bike. The resort is in the middle of nature, I stayed in a bungalow with a sea view and can absolutely recommend it. The rooms are large and absolutely clean, very comfortable beds, great A/C and a large bathroom with hot water. The magical Miss Puu is a very lovely person, takes care of everything, is always available and always available for a little chat, which is very pleasant. Very good kitchen! super nice and clean pool, strong WLAN! Thank you I will be back.

Spent one night in this place of a wonder. Location and the sunrise sunset overlooking the bay magnificent. The manager and her stuff is just the excellence of the travel industry. Highly recomend to visit

Puu, the lady at the reception, is amazing! She has been helpful by providing us with information, support and giving us lovely chats. The place is enchanting, immersed in the greenery of the suggestive Koh Mak. The pool is remarkable, the room clean and the bed very comfortable. The view absolutely not to be missed! The staff is friendly and here we had the best breakfast of the holiday!

Eines der besten Resorts auf Koh Mak! Sehr zu empfehlen !

Amazing food and really good orange juice, I just love it!! Sadly I dont live at this hotel but it looks really nice and if I had the chance I would take it and stay at thid hotel. So good!!!😍 Love it!!

Peaceful place and friendly staff. Drinks can get a bit stronger and of more variety.

Stayed for 2 nights in mid may. Staff very friendly and helpful and spoke good English. Rooms very clean and good view from patio. Pool also good although with the tiles being brown in colour not the most attractive. Food in restaurant very good and cheap. Little bit isolated but staff will call for taxi if you want to go out. Also pick you up from pier when you arrive. Can buy return ferry tickets at the hotel too for the same price as at the pier so would not bother buying return ticket on way out.
