The location is really great, not only the specific beach but also the location on the beach. Friendly staff, good organization and fair selection of food on the breakfast session - same for lunch and dinner.

Our beach villa had many problems (water reverting from the pipes into the shower room, TV didn't work, security box needed repair to work, front door key didn't work etc) - all those items could and should have been identified prior and fixed. We had solutions for most of the things during the stay and they acknowledged the issues. The in house entertainment in the evening wasn't good (we know guest going to other places to avoid), sadly it was hours after hours and loud - would have preferred to enjoy the location and being able to have a conversation.

-Sea view room was not that great, door was beat up, anyone could break in, light bulb was broken. Ac took forever to cool the temp down. -Swiming pool view, room was perfect! Ac worked great! Bigger and better room with better price.

Time was not flexible. I was 10 minutes early at check in, she wouldn’t let me check in until 2:00pm to be exact. I was exactly 4 minutes early at breakfast, she told me not to touch the food until its time. Could it be a better way to tell your guess ? Seating area for breakfast at the very front were all covered in bird poops, both tables and chairs. Checking out, they wouldnt let me leave until they were done checking the room.

The location , few staff members were really nice. They arranged cake for my son's birthday and tried to make it special for him.

Rooms need renovation, some staff were really trying to help but some were like guest doesn't exist. Less english speaking. Hardly any breakfast options for vegan and vegetarian people. I had to run into an argument during checkin since booking. Com and they had different understanding of the hotel policies.

This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've ever experienced, from the first day until the day we checked out. The room was very outdated, and the air conditioner was extremely noisy, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. On some days, our room wasn't even cleaned, despite housekeeping being a basic hotel service. The breakfast was by far the biggest disappointment. There was very little variety, and the quality was poor. I even found mold in one of the yogurt bottles, which is completely unacceptable from a hygiene standpoint. The coffee machine was also unreliable, constantly turning on and off. On our first day, we ordered lunch and were served food that appeared to be spoiled. Dinner was just as disappointing and definitely not worth the price. Another frustrating experience was when housekeeping forgot to replenish the toilet paper. We informed the staff in the afternoon, and they said they would bring it shortly. By the evening, no one had come, so we had to ask again. The explanation we received was that we weren't in the room when they came. However, the hotel regularly leaves bottled water and fresh towels outside guests' rooms, so it's hard to understand why they couldn't do the same with something as essential as toilet paper. It felt like a poor excuse rather than a genuine effort to solve the problem. The service was also disappointing. The front desk staff rarely smiled or made guests feel welcome. The breakfast staff, in particular, seemed unfriendly and often looked at guests in an uncomfortable and unprofessional way. Even after staying for an entire week, they still couldn't remember our names or even our room number, which reflected a lack of professionalism. In the end, my family decided to move to the neighboring resort, Vimarn Samed Resort. The difference was remarkable. The staff there were warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about their guests.

Sijainti oli hyvä, rauhallinen ranta. Pikkumökit mukavat kyllä, mutta hiekkaa eksyy väkisin joka paikkaan, siivous melko nopea lattian lakaisu eikä edes moppia käytetä.

Ravintolan palvelut melko heikot. Tarjoilijat hyvin hajamielisiä yhtä nuorta tyttöä lukuunottamatta.

Location and beach

Not managed well Too expensive for room and service provided. Guests are taken for granted but the value for money is off. We had a good time with the family and I don't fault the hard working team members.

The location was convenient to be able to go out to the point for dinner and it was nice to walk the beach.

The facilities are not really well maintained and could certainly use some updating. Breakfast was okay, but long wait for coffee. Our “beach view” room was right at the back, and the view out the side window was of the water tanks and debris. I went for a 400 baht massage and was charged 800, because she did a hair treatment/ massage and I think a face massage (both 200 baht) without mentioning an additional cost. Overall, I would “value” the resort and room around 2000 baht per night (at best) but rates were more than double that.

Great resort on a beautiful beach. Very relaxed and chill beach vibe, dont expect big parties. The resort, rooms and restaurant was very good and close to lots of restaurants on the beach. Lots of beach loungers and this is a place where you can unwind, relax and chill for hours.

The restaurants down the beach are better than the resort restaurant

Läget var bra och personalen var trevlig. Jag fick ett rum som var riktigt slitet och smutsigt, när jag klagade gav dom mig sviten istället men den var inte heller i toppskick.. mitt betyg är högt för att dom ändå ville göra kunden nöjd.

Hela hotellet var väldigt eftersatt och dåligt städat! Mycket var trasigt och allt skulle behöva totalrenoveras för att det ska vara värt så mycket pengar per natt.

The hotel is in a great location right on a lively, busy beach, which gives it a great atmosphere. One of the real positives is how easy it is to walk to two much quieter beaches nearby when you want something more relaxed. The sea here is great for swimming, and the pool is a handy alternative if you fancy a break from the beach. Breakfast was a typical Thai-style hotel breakfast, exactly as you’d expect, with plenty of choice. Overall, a very convenient and enjoyable place to stay.

Nice location, good amenities. Not much to do there except relax, swim, eat. That is what we wanted and that is what we did. If you want more action need go north part of island.

We stayed at Samed Cabana many years ago. We had a fantastic relaxing time again. Will definitely be the place we go to on Koh Samet if we go again.

We stayed here for two nights in a garden view bungalow. The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom okay for the price. We had two seafood dinners at the resort — everything was fresh and tasty. At night there was a fire show on the beach, really exciting! Special thanks to Pleng, the staff who spoke good English and provided warm, friendly service. The beach is beautiful — clear water, soft sand, and blue sky. Overall, a happy and relaxing stay! 🌴

A gorgeous escape where you feel a million miles away from everything. We had a beach facing bungalow which was amazing. Fantastic, friendly staff (Madame Lee & Pleng to name a couple) really go out of their way to make you feel like part of the family. Would 100% recommend and we will most definitely return, hopefully soon.

Pleng has been so amazing. He has a great customer service, we truly enjoyed our night while being served by him. He speaks really good English and we highly recommend his service to all the guests.

Both the staff members from the restaurant and hotels were very friendly and helpful. But had to push the people from the reception a little bit to do something. they take long to complete something.

The rooms are horrible!!! They are so outdated and the worst thing is that toilet smells!!! they have to fix their pipes i guess! and it seems dirty overall!

We came two years ago. The stay was good overall. The only critisism is that the standard of food in the restaurant was not on par with the last stay. The breakfast was very good.

Nice view as i stayed beach front and few steps from sea. Bathroom is a bit small but ok for island hotel. Breakfast is variety and taste is ok. However, it difficult to keep room clean from sand as room is on the beach.

Very bad experience as soon as we arrived. The staff need training as well as the management on bills and communication. Wont return to this hotel and recommend future guests to reconsider. Have frequented this hotel several times. Must be under new management and is not for the good of the hotel as other guests also experienced the same.

Over priced hotel on a noisy (but beautiful) beach. The rooms are small and old with paper thin walls to the room next door. The breakfast is of low quality and if you like good coffee then this is NOT the place to be. There must be a management of the hotel who don’t really care ably whether customers return or not.

Location was perfect and extra comfortable sun bed at the front of the hut great.

Bad smell in the shower that they only tried to fix with a burning oil container that of course stopped when the candle ran out and it wasn't replaced the next day. So bad smell for the rest of the trip every time we had a shower. Breakfast very average.

I’ve been visiting Samed Cabana for quite a few years and from previous reviews I’ve always said the location was fantastic but like other reviews the place was run down. However,on this visit it was great to newly refurbished rooms with comfortable clean beds and linen,a working and a tv working with various channels plus a clean bathroom. Location is fantastic with bungalows right on the beach overlooking the calm warm waters.It was very busy as it was the weekend during the high season and prices are expensive. It’s fairly straightforward to get here once you have arrived at Ban Phe on the mainland,you get a speedboat across from Nuan Thip pier for 200 baht one way,then 50 baht for a shared sawntaew here. Staff are friendly and pleasant with a mixture of Thai,Cambodian and Burmese.Breakfast at restaurant is more than adequate with usual egg station,cereals,juices,tea,coffee and fruit. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The staff was nice. The beach is beautiful. The cabanas, if you get a good one are nice.

There is now live music onsite. I come for peace and quiet, not loud music from 6 pm to 10 pm. Even though I asked for our 3 cabanas together, far from the lobby/restaurant, they put my two guests right next to the restaurant. My guests were downgraded to quieter cabanas the following day, after the intolerable noise and music. No refund was offered for the downgrade. The staff is pleasant and kind, but not well trained. They are also understaffed. The management is terrible. I probably will not return, even though I've been coming here for years.

Room floor when we checked in still had a lot of sand on it. While I understand that being by the beach does invariably lead to a lot of sand being tracked in, I wish that a fresh room at least wouldn't have sand on the floor

We’ve book 3 rooms of beachfront and sea view rooms. I found a mouse in a sea view room toilet at 3:30am. And this hotel doesn’t have anyone to service until 7am. I had been calling asking many time until 7:30am, they send maid with a dry towel…:( . A mouse wasn’t in toilet anymore but it’s in the bedroom, and they have done nothing beside saying it went out but nobody see where it went! I pay total for 21,000 bath and I feel disgusting to live with a mouse in the room.
