We stayed in one of the large rooms with a private pool as a family of four — my mother, my father, my 7-year-old daughter, and myself — and we were genuinely impressed with our entire experience from beginning to end. Before our stay, we had arranged all of our transfers with the hotel, including our journey from our hotel in Bangkok to Koh Samet. At exactly the agreed time, a very large and comfortable vehicle was waiting for us, and the entire journey went perfectly smoothly without the slightest problem. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, extremely comfortable, and exceptionally clean. But what impressed us most was the staff. Their service, kindness, friendliness, and willingness to help were truly outstanding. Even if you have the smallest problem, they immediately do everything they can to solve it. We had a minor injury while swimming in the sea, and the staff took such wonderful care of us. For several days, they helped clean and dress the wound every morning and evening, always with a smile and such genuine care. Their kindness during this situation meant a lot to us and is something we will definitely remember. The food at the hotel is also excellent. Even if you are not used to Thai food, there are plenty of options from different international cuisines, so everyone can easily find something they enjoy. Breakfast was fantastic as well. We stayed from September 5th to September 12th, and before coming I had been quite worried about the weather because this period is considered low season. In reality, both the weather and the sea were wonderful. Ao Cho Bay is very sheltered from the wind, which means the sea is generally calm. Despite visiting outside the main season, we were able to swim from morning until evening every single day. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday on a tropical island, surrounded by lovely people visiting from all over the world, this is an excellent choice. The atmosphere is calm, relaxed, and very pleasant.

We liked pretty much everything of this little resort! The staff was particularly friendly and helpful.

Райское место на земле! Мы жили в Suite Ocean Front. Чудесный вид, просторный и чистый номер. Тишина вокруг. Персонал дружелюбный, добрый, все пожелания сразу исполнялись. Расположение понравилось больше всего. У отеля частный пляж и он правда частный - купаешься в море прям один-народу почти нету. Пляж чудесный, волн нету, вода чистейшая. Рядом с отелем всего пару баров, поэтому тишина и приватная обстановка на пляже и во всем отеле. При этом есть второй пляж в двух минутах ходьбы. Если хочется развлечений, больше людей и больше заведений можно просто пойти туда и затем вернуться в свой тихий уголок. Еда очень вкусная, большой выбор, быстрое и доброе обслуживание. Хорошее файер шоу В отель легко добраться и уехать тоже легко После мы переехали на kai saw пляж, который основной. И мне тут не понравилось, тут волны, много людей, в отелях не все удобства. хочу обратно в свой уютный Ao Cho

Кондиционер в номере нам так и не удалось нормально под себя настроить. Один раз ушел свет и потом вода. Но мне кажется это проблема всего острова, а не отеля

This is a resort that is truly worth staying at. It feels private and incredibly relaxing—you can simply lie back and listen to the sound of the waves. The reception staff are warm and welcoming, and the restaurant staff are attentive and enthusiastic. The rooms are spotlessly clean and well maintained. Highly recommended!

Хорошие завтраки и в целом в ресторане очень вкусно. Персонал очень дружелюбный. Есть свой пляж, но присутствуют камни, с ребенком не совсем комфортно. До центральной части пляжа ездить только на тук туке, 200 бадд стоимость в одну сторону. Жили в домике ремонт немного уже староват, но чисто. Так же имеется развлекательный инвентарь, теннисный стол, ракетки, фломастеры и тд. Территория ухоженная. Рядом через отель есть песочный пляж. Вечером всегда живая музыка, в выходные еще огненное шоу. Для тихого комфортного отдыха, отель идеально подходит.

Was close to beach and generally well kept. Good choice for breakfast and shows each evening.

First room wasn’t secure, could open the door with a credit card! They did change the room later that day. Food was expensive, but expected that, some great street food 6 mins walk away. The biggest complaint was that I was given a warm beer and asked them to change it, this took a while to sort out but finally the bar manager got me a cold beer. Then about 20 minutes later her came back with the bottle of opened beer in an ice bucket. He then told us if we didn’t pay for the bottle it would have to come out of the staffs wages, I was absolutely fuming that they threatened to take the cost of the beer out of a poor waitress if I didn’t buy it. This put a real downer on the first night and we didn’t drink or eat there again over the 5 days.

Location is great and rooms are good. Staff are friendly. The ladies cooking eggs and omlettes were great. Quick to respond to requests, and even bring it to your table with a big smile if you do not pick up your order.

Breakfast is very messy - things and food run out quickly and constantly without being replaced. And the management at the time did not seem concerned at all....

Loved the location and having a private beach with easy access to other restaurants/ bars. The room was lovely and the breakfast buffet was exceptional! Great variety and quality. The staff was very friendly and accomodating- they even held on to a pair of earrings I left behind and will send to me. I am so grateful!

В день приезда пообедать решили в ресторане. Ждали пиццу 40 минут и принесли горелую. Персонал над нами смеялся и когда мы поменяли заказ и ждали ещё 40 мин. Нам ничего не принесли и хотели чтоб мы заплатили за горелую пиццу. Настроение испорчено было. Хотелось уехать но деньги сказали не возвращаются.

The stay was perfect as it is beach front and had a lot of entertainments like movie screen, fire show and kayaking. The rooms were really clean and tidy. It had all basic amenities like toiletries, bathrobe and snacks. The best part was the outdoor sitting area and the direct beach access. The restaurant had great food and breakfast had a lot of variety as well. The bar was amazing they had happy hours for cocktails which were amazing. Over all a great stay.

Our stay at Ao Cho Grandview Hideaway Resort on Koh Samet was excellent from start to finish and exceeded our expectations in many ways. We booked a Deluxe Room including breakfast and were very satisfied. The breakfast is varied and offers a good mix of Thai and European options. Of course, it’s not identical to a typical European breakfast – but that’s part of the charm when traveling in Asia. There’s something for everyone, and it feels authentic. One of the absolute highlights is the beautiful white private beach. The resort is located away from the party areas, making it perfect for anyone looking for peace and relaxation. At the same time, everything is convenient: a scooter rental is just a few meters away, and there is also a taxi stand nearby. The staff is exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. Whatever you need, a quick request or phone call is enough, and it will be taken care of immediately. You really feel well looked after. The food at the resort’s restaurant is also very good. They offer a wide selection including fresh seafood, traditional Thai dishes, as well as pizza and burgers. Prices are fair and comparable to the rest of the island. There is also a nice evening program with fire shows, movie nights, and daily live music. A special highlight was the BBQ on the beach organized by the resort on our last evening – a truly memorable experience in a stunning setting. Our bungalow was well equipped with everything we needed: air conditioning, fridge, TV, kettle, mosquito net, and more. Conclusion: A fantastic resort that we can fully recommend. If we return to Koh Samet, this will definitely be our first choice again.

Iba pripomienka, bungalovy Hillside by mohli mat na terase nainštalované stropné ventilátory. Bolo tam príliš horúco a nedalo sa užívať si krásny výhľad na more z terasy.

Super Lage, toller Bungalow, modern eingerichtet/Villa mit zwei Schlafzimmern, freundliches, aber leider zu wenig Personal, Abendkarte perfekt und extrem lecker, gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis, die bezaubernde Mitarbeiterin Gina, ein Glücksfall für jedes 5 Sterne Hotel. Unbedingt den Speed Boat Service buchen, dieser ist mit Vollservice.

Das Frühstück entsprach in keinerlei Hinsicht dem Standard, Kaffee und Tee lauwarm, Baguette hart, wenig Früchte und kein Aufschnitt, Wartezeit für Eier viel zu lang und der Reinigungsdienst sollte auch unter dem Sofa oder Betten kehren.

Prices for drinks and food were a joke and quality was poor. Most people did not eat or drink there we went somewhere else. Never seen a bar so empty! Cocktails were fake and too expensive.

Die offensichtlich neuen Zimmer sind qualitativ sehr schlecht gebaut. Klimaanlage kann nicht richtig reguliert werden, was in der Nacht sehr schlecht ist. Ab den frühen Morgenstunden beginnt es in der Unterkunft zu stinken. Aus der Toilete steigen Dämpfe aus der Kanalisation auf. Duschen am morgen nicht möglich da es extrem nach Urin richt. Wie Katzenpisse nur konzentriert. Wir haben nichts gesagt. Bring sowieso nicht. Wenn man so was nicht selber merkt...ohne Worte...

Our beach view chalet was clean, very modern with a breathe taking view over the bay..The cleaning staff were very polite and efficient. All the waiting staff were attentive and happy in their work. Special thanks to our waiter Tim. We swapped names with him on our first afternoon and he addressed us as Miss Shirley and Mr Jim whenever he saw us. His friendly nature made us feel at home. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our holiday for 2 extra days.

The area by the side of our chalet (106) could do with a tidy up. There was a lot of rubbish lying around where the chickens roam free. I realise this may not be part of the resort, but all the guests use this rocky path to explore the next beach. Just needs a daily collection of plastic bottles, cans and glass bottles to improve what we see from the veranda

The beach is nice, but unfortunately that was outweighed by the issues during the stay.

I would consider this a complete failure across the board. We stayed a the beach front suites £400 per night per room. Stayed here recently with a group and two young children. For the price this was extremely disappointing. The terrace and surrounding areas were visibly dirty and not maintained to an acceptable standard. Service was also a major issue staff struggled to understand basic requests, and even simple things like asking for plates resulted in confusion or incomplete service. Room was not cleaned to any respectful sense. During checkout Staff were largely unhelpful and disengaged. Overall, this property does not match its pricing or expectations. Location alone does not justify the cost. I would not recommend staying here unless service and cleanliness improve significantly.

Prachtige, rustige locatie in een mooie baai. Zeer vriendelijk personeel, iedereen is gastvrij. Lekker ontbijtbuffet met verse omelet of pannenkoeken die voor je gebakken worden.

Beautiful beach, most of staff were very nice. Food was ok, breakfast was a reasonably good choice. Music was excellent (amazing singers and musicians), room was nice, comfortable and clean

The construction was literally at the back of our room. They didn’t start until 8am and finished by 5pm. But it was constant hammering, wood planers and other tools. All of which detracted from it being a beautiful, quiet peaceful resort.

Very well run resort. Very quiet beach and clean. Good sunbeds and plenty of them. Breakfast was good with European and Thai choices and is buffet style. The staff were all friendly and helpful,particularly tin who went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and is a credit to the grand view resort company. Also jeans who mostly served us for drinks and food with a cheerful smile.

Vi likte nesten alt! Vakker resort, vakker bungalow, Masse flott personalet. Nydelig strand.

Frokosten var litt uorganisert, treg og uryddig. Mat og kaffe ble ikke fylt på. Mat stod utildekket og d var endel fluer. Border ble ikke ryddet og vasket når gjester gikk, så d virket litt grisete. Og personalet litt uinspirert og uinteressert... Dessverre er Koh Samet blitt veldig utbygget for turisme, og det er dessverre mye søppel på denne naturskjønne øyen, som faktisk er et naturreservat.

Lovely location on a beautiful beach . Staff all great and friendly. We were upgraded to a gorgeous room overlooking the sea . The breakfast was very good with lots of choices.

My only criticism is that they play music through a speaker all day long. For this reason we moved every day to a different beach that did not play any music .

Punto di forza della struttura e‘ senza dubbio la posizione. Bella la spiaggia molto raccolta in solo resort e piccoli 4/5 ristorantini. Abbiamo girato tutte le altre spiagge e questa una delle più raccolte e tranquille. Personale molto gentile.

Ristorante pessimo (peggior papaya salad mangiata in Thailandia) tempi lunghi. Colazione minima a parte la colazione thai (riso, noodles)nulla di dolce solo uova e frutta. Avevamo due camere high view una era ristrutturata con bagno nuovo ma un po‘ squallida x la mancanza di un divanetto o qualcosa dove appoggiare la valigia. L‘altra vecchia con gabinetto non funzionante (-abbiamo dovuto chiamare due volte gli idraulici xké si è allagato il bagno). Pulizia degli spazi esterni, soprattutto la spiaggia non adeguata. Potenziale notevole ma manca qualcuno in grado gestire al meglio la struttura. Nelle vicinanze e nelle spiagge attigue ci sono dei buoni ristoranti dove cenare. Tanti cani liberi che corrono tra i lettini in spiaggia e fanno i loro bisogni sui cuscini

Beach Lounge chair capacity has to be reviewed. Dining seating area could be improved with more comfy seats.

Frukosten var väldigt bra, det finns något för alla. Stort plus för väldigt skön säng, ovanligt för Thailand.

Priset var väl högt i restaurangen. Solsängar skulle behöva mer kärlek. Smutsiga och trasiga, matchade inte riktigt den nivå som hotellet vill ge sken av.

Everything! This is one of the most beautiful and special places I have been, and definitely my favourite in Thailand’s islands. Location is great, beautiful quiet beach, the food at the restaurant is delicious (we are there all the time and everything tasted sooo nice!), the staff is so king and polite and sweet, beautiful rooms! We stayed in a room by the beach and it was so special (we really recommend booking this one!). We loved the vibe, such a good place to recharge I’ll definitely go back ❤️ Thank you everyone for making our stay so memorable

Nothing really. I’ve read that you have to wait a little bit at the restaurant to get the food. That may be true, but the quality of the food is really high so it is definitely worth the wait.

La spiaggia privata bellissima, le camere pulite e giuste per il tipo di contesto. Wi-Fi funziona perfettamente in tutte le aree del resort compresa la spiaggia. Aria condizionata perfetta.

Da migliorare la colazione poco ricca. Lo staff parla poco inglese. Mancano lettini da spiaggia per tutti gli ospiti del resort. Tenete presente che la struttura si trova a 15 minuti in taxi dal centro del paese, Fantastico se cercate tranquillità.

Nice beach and place was relaxing. Motobike is needed if you want to see other places.

Breakfast and restaurant are not best ones. However next beach restaurants are near and you can walk there.
