No breakfast available. The room was tired & needed painting. The only good thing was location. Poor lighting in living room. Our unit studio #12 was at end & lack of privacy by walkway ( need drapes).

L’hôtel semble être resté coincé dans les années 90, c’est vieux et défraîchi, l’odeur du studio quand on est entré dans la chambre semblait être de l’urine, c’est pas très invitant, besoin de rénos et c’était un vrai labyrinthe pour aller à la piscine

Location is amazing. Room sizes are huge. Balcony lounge area is very nice.

Very out dated hotel overall. The exercise equipment is so old its barely usable. If the location was anywhere else, its a 2 star hotel at best.

Check in was 45 minutes late from posted time. Mold in bathroom. Main bath tap semi-detached from fitting. One light by bed for reading inoperative. Slider door left open by housekeeping behind curtains was discovered after several hours. Passport and other valuables in room. Given 2 inside keys not an outside for access. Got locked out early morning retrieving item from vehicle. No front desk on duty to help. Fortunately another guest was leaving and I accessed through his suite. The value for resort area is ok. The place is tired. Under realized for location.

The property was old and needs renovation

It is not a hotel, but time shares which are rented out. There were no porter services, but the receptionist helped us with the luggage. There is only one unit for people with disabilities. The indoor pool was nice and clean. The location is great and within walking distance of restaurants and espresso bars in Thornbury. Bring watershoes for the beach.

The unit can do with some upgrades, the carpet is torn at the edges which is a safety hazard for tripping. The bathrooms are very slippery when wet.

Right on the water, walkable to town

We enjoyed the location as well as the accommodation we had in September 2025 and that is why we came back to the resort for our 2nd visit.

The room was very dated and run down which included peeling wallpaper, rusted fixtures, worn paint, stains on the carpet and bed linens, a bloody fingerprint on the Kleenex box and insects (silverfish) seen crawling on the bed, etc. Very disappointing we left after one night!

Entryway was in dire need of sweeping loose crushed cement all over. Over all unit was in need of an update.

The location across from the Bay. Beautiful view. Comfy beds and clean. Older unit needs some updates and repair but adequate. Will book again. The pool heater is working YEAH!!!!!

Location, location, location! Thornbury is a beautiful little town with a village feel. This resort is a stones throw from the Main Street, directly opposite the lake. Dock, beach and marina.

Confusing upon arrival as to park and check in

They say the room is accessible. It is not. As a person that needs this. The beds are too high with no bar to get in and out of bed. The toilet has no bars to get on and off of toilet. It is a builders toilet, so it is low to the floor. Tried to get help from the front and no response. My daughter even walked to them and no one was there. Ramps to get into room are either over grass which is hard to move on or being pushed. The other ramp is on a high slope so hard to push anyone on it over to get up with a wheelchair or wheelchair. Not worth the money. This the last hotel I would recommend in the area

Fantastic location right on the water and close to restaurants and little local shops.

The room we stayed in was renovated so it was great. The hotel though is quite dated and could use some serious updates.

This place is nothing like what the pics posted are! The pics online show all updated and fancy! We arrived and was like a 1970s room! Smelled very musty so we opened the patio door to air out which helped but could still smell it! There were stains on carpet. Wallpaper on walls bubbling. Then we turned water on in bathroom sink and was literally choc milk colour! We went to front desk and they made it out that we had run the water too much although we hadn’t been in room very much we were out for dinner! No showers! They then moved us to a different room which was ground level updated and a lot better but still the curtains didn’t cover whole window so anyone could see in at night and in morning there was no sleeping in as the room was very bright from the sun! This hotel was not worth $450/night!

Booking a room not user friendly Used booking.com and told no rooms available. Difficult understanding the booking.com representative...dialect was difficult. Called direct to RHR and able to book a room A confusing experience Staff at RHR were most friendly.

The quiet area and views from this place are what saves it in my opinion. This “resort” is very tired and rundown in many areas. I’m not normally too picky about the specific look of things when I travel, but the reality is, things are falling apart at this place and if definitely all needs a good update. Peeling wallpaper, filthy rug, missing paint, water dripping onto the outside sitting area outside our room, filthy ceiling fan, tub and accessories old and rusty, a broken mirror that had been semi fixed at one point….. the list goes on. I will say that for the most part we enjoyed our stay but it was hard to look past these many fixable things. We would consider staying again if updates were made and things were much more clean.

The hotel is right on the water . Amazing view.We had 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit with kitchen that is very spacious and clean. Reception staff was very friendly.

This property is excellently located with beautiful sunrise views over the harbour, right from your room. The main street,restaurants, shops, walking trails, river and fish ladder are all within walking distance so no need to drive and park elsewhere. The town is quiet and peaceful as is the harbour. The rooms are very large with full kitchen and dining table as well as sitting area with sofas. There is a large deck with patio tables and lounge chairs over looking the boats in the harbour. The property itself is a bit tired looking and could use some doors replaced, but it is clean.

The view is stunning, the studio room is big and the bed comfortable, staff is nice. We liked that is't close to beach and all night we heard the waves which was relaxing for us. We'll stay again here. Thank you for the wonderful experience

We enjoyed our stay.

The location was great. Literally steps from the bay.

The room was old and dilapidated, and should have never been assigned. The water is brown so don’t bother taking a bath. It was like we walked into a storage locker that was turned into a hotel rectangle. Dead bugs on carpeted stairs, split walls. Paint peeling. Mildew all over the bathroom, and a shower that puts more water outside the curtain than inside. Then there was the dirty appliances and dish rack and the couch that had the grime from many a guest who overstayed their welcome. The staff are clueless and lazy with more excuses than solutions. This is not a resort, this was a cheap motel in disguise. In fact I’ve stayed at cleaner and more updated Howard Johnson’s.

This was our 4th time at this hotel. We love the location. We love that they have thought about all little details for your room. You can find anything you need and more in the room.

Their check-in time is 4pm. It is VERY late. When you start a vacation, you wanna start with getting settled in your room. They should change it to an earlier time. 2pm is more common...

Great location on Georgian Bay, with beach access in the charming town of Thornbury

The place was nice and the location great. The room seemed a bit tired and needed some updating. A bigger TV with Netflix would have been an improvement too. It was nice and quiet and the bed was good.

Beautiful, fully furnished loft, right across the street from the beach, small harbor. The staff are friendly and serviceable. Wife is vegan so fully furnished kitchen was great, wi-fi and tv, living room with sofa-bed. Bigger 2 room accommodations available.

Excellent location

The location is excellent. Ground floor bay view. Walkout to the water and a nice view of the harbour. No need to drive anywhere once there as everything is within walking distance. Rooms are a little dated but well stocked with everything you need to make any meals. Beds are very comfortable and rooms are very spacious. Front desk ladies are very pleasant and helpful when asked questions about the area and best places to eat. The only issue was the pool was not heated and the water was very cold. Refreshing due to the heat outside but still a little too cold. A hot tub and sauna made up for that. I will definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone who plans to visit the area and is looking for accommodations.

The hotel is right across from yacht harbour. Property offers indoor pool, jacuzzi, tennis court, bbq’s, fitness rooms overlooking waterfront. Sweet girl at front desk. Bed mattress comfortable. Good kitchen amenities. However we were on the bottom floor and I use a cane, and the unit had serveral sets of steps INSIDE of it, including down into the bed area. The sizeable unit , was long and narrow with the bathroom right to the side at the entrance and the sleeping area by the sliding glass doors on the opposite end. You had to leave a light on so not to hurt yourself going to the bathroom tripping on the stairs during the night. I am guess these interior stair issues were just on bottom level to accommodate building being built into the hill. There are no elevators so there are only stairs for the upper levels. Would definitely go back if they could solve accessibility issues. Problem for me, and also my sister who’s family was staying on same level as us, Gorgeous area , great town.

Liked the view and the room. Nice setup with the beach, peir and downtown close by. The suite a little dated but roomy and well stocked with cookware. Cutting board was gross, returned it to front desk and they didn't bring me a clean one like they said thy would. Could use a rocking chair in the suite. Cushions and couches frumpy And dated. Over all enjoyed our stay

They have all the kitchenware you could have, feels like home and cooked our dinner and breakfast with ease. Enjoyed the spacious suite with huge living room, two bathrooms, front and back to leave the suite and excellent view. Clean environment. Also a small TV in one of the bedroom!

The only setback there is providing oven without aluminum foil.
