Bali Dive Resort and Spa

The team were great, helpful and efficient. The little restaurant had loads of options for adults and kids, and both breakfasts (inclusive) and dinner were tasty and reasonable. The pool was great after a long day out, and the beach in front of the resort was beautiful, although not really for swimming. We unfortunately becuase of the swell couldnt snorkel in the surrounds, however found it easy to use a taxi further south where the conditions were better and we could explore this beautiful part of Bali. The rooms were large and comfortable, and cleaned well every morning.

SCONSIGLIATISSIMO – Esperienza inaccettabile sotto ogni punto di vista Una delle peggiori esperienze che abbia mai avuto durante un soggiorno. Quello che abbiamo vissuto non può essere definito semplicemente “cattivo servizio”: è stato un trattamento irrispettoso, aggressivo e totalmente indegno di una struttura che accoglie clienti. Il personale si è dimostrato tutt’altro che disponibile e professionale. La situazione è degenerata al punto che siamo stati lasciati a piedi dal servizio taxi, una cosa già di per sé assurda e inaccettabile. Ma la parte peggiore è avvenuta successivamente: invece di ricevere spiegazioni o semplicemente delle scuse, siamo stati aggrediti verbalmente con urla in faccia, con un atteggiamento intimidatorio e con le mani portate a pochissima distanza dal nostro viso. Un comportamento che ci ha lasciati sconcertati, umiliati e profondamente a disagio. Non mi è mai capitato di essere trattato in questo modo da personale di una struttura ricettiva. Quando si arriva al punto di urlare in faccia ai propri clienti e assumere atteggiamenti intimidatori, non si può più parlare di semplice mancanza di professionalità: è venuto completamente meno il rispetto verso l’ospite. Anche la qualità generale del servizio e le condizioni della struttura hanno contribuito a rendere il soggiorno estremamente deludente. Tutto ci è sembrato trascurato, fatiscente e lontanissimo da quello che ci si aspetterebbe da una struttura che pretende di offrire ospitalità. Non tornerei mai più. Nemmeno se mi regalassero il soggiorno e il viaggio. La cosa che mi sento di dire a chi sta pensando di prenotare è molto semplice: valutate attentamente altre strutture prima di scegliere questa. Per quanto ci riguarda, questa esperienza è stata completamente negativa e il comportamento ricevuto è qualcosa che non dimenticheremo facilmente.

L'hôtel est superbe, bien entretenu, c'est propre.

Nous n'avons vu personnes pour nous aider pour reserver la plongée, pourtant nous avons laisser des messages sur WhatsApp, aux personnels présents au centre de plongée, dommage. L'hôtel est isolé, rien à faire autour.

Geweldig kleinschalig eco resort in Tulamben. Hele ruime, goed ingerichte kamer, prachtige tuinen en heerlijk om te relaxen aan t zwembad. Duikschool een van de besten die we tot nu toe tijdens onze reizen hebben gehad! Een heerlijke plek om duiken te maken en om tot rust te komen. Restaurant biedt veel opties en t eten is van goede kwaliteit en erg lekker! Lief en zorgzaam personeel ook.

Twee kleine minpuntjes waren de airco in de kamer, die erg veel herrie maakte en ook direct boven t bed hing en de verlichting in de kamer, zeer fel en maar vanaf 1 zijde van t bed te bedienen. Maar stond in t niet tegenover de positieve punten!

Sehr schönes Areal mit sehr grossigen Zimmer und schönem Pool. Abendessen und Frühstück sehr fein (hat in der Umgebung kein Restaurant). Gutes Internet.

Nichts. Eventuell sind die Tauchguides im PADI Dive Center nicht die montiviertesten.

Beautiful Bali Garden, with view of sea and mountain. Room was spacious and comfortable. Restaurant wide variety of meals for different taste buds. And lastly a very well run diving center with a French Lady that was my coach. Extremely pleasant and did a great job during the dive. Helpful Staff and a very understanding manager N.

Proposer de l'eau en bouteille et pas que la carafe d'eau filtree dans les chambres même si je comprends la demarche. Nettoyer la plage devant l'hotel

Great value and decently appointed Villas. Had a lounge as well as chairs out on the Balcony. Staff were very friendly. Restaurant is decent, not amazing but decent. We also were there for the Dive Course through the Padi Dive shop. Sam our instructor was excellent

Nothing. Tulamben is not central to much but well positioned for USAT Shipwreck dive. It’s a quiet town but was good as it helped us to relax by the pool after diving

Really enjoyed my time here. Very convenient to arrange dives. Breakfasts were fantastic, so were the staff! Pools were great too.

Towels and sheets had some stains on them. The beach isn’t really the kind you can lounge on but it was nice to have a view of it and go swimming and snorkeling there (it’s rocky though)!

Very spacious rooms (we stayed in triple room), 3 pools (out segment had own pool), main pool next to restaurant, good food, rooms and property very clean, dive shop in the hotel (can take you to all tulamben sites), spa, very helpfull stuff. You can arrange trips, rent a bike (via external company who delivers bikes to the hotel), and so on. Very quite and calm.

Nothing. Property is a bit off so if you want to go to other restaurant you need to ride a bike to Amed (approx. 10-11km).

Nous avons tout aimé dans cet hôtel. Le personnel, les services proposés, les massages, la nourriture, les piscines, la vue avec le volcan depuis la piscine et la mer juste derrière. La possibilité de faire de la plongée, du snorkeling. La proximité avec Amed, la possibilité de faire des randonnées au volcan, bref...tout Jusqu'à la literie qui était juste incroyable, nous n'avons pas aussi bien dormi de tout notre voyage à Bali (3 semaines).

Tenía mis serias dudas por lo aislado de resort, pero la verdad es que el sitio no está nada mal, los preciosos son adecuados y la carta del restaurante lo suficientemente amplia para no cansarte. Es un buen lugar realizar con ellos las actividades de buceo y snorkel.

In terms of the actual hotel - I cannot rate this place enough. 1. Super clean, spacious rooms with a TV, with access to Prime and netflix 2. Rooms are pretty much bug free which is rare for bali - amazing if you're scared of insects etc. The bathroom is closed, unlike most places in Bali which have outdoor bathrooms/showers and you open the door and see a giant bug on your toothbrush. This was not the case here which was great. 3. The staff at reception are SO helpful and lovely! The reception is 24h and they are always happy to help. 4. Really reasonably priced services like the dive school, spa and laundry. 5. The restaurant is AMAZING. The food is top quality and really flavoursome - great for a hotel restaurant. Lots of indonesian and western options, and again very reasonably priced. 6. The scenery is BEAUTIFUL, view of Mount agung, amazing pool with loungers. 7. The spa was amazing too. One of the most relaxing experiences and again the staff were great. Really, really would recommend anyone wanting to stay in a nice/luxurious place in Bali for a reasonable price.

My only critique is of the dive center. I came to this hotel specifically for diving and was really excited, I have completed around 10 dives over the past 4 years but it's normally 2 or 3 in one day so it's not that many days diving in total. I have my level 1 open water but am still a nervous diver and my last dive was 18 months ago. I explained this to the center but they were pretty cold about it. I asked if I could practice my goggles getting water in when I got in the sea and was informed that 'it's not the divers job to do that' with me. Understandable but no need to be rude about it. Anyway my dive instructor was great in this aspect and did check my mask etc before I went in because I hate getting water in it. Further, I asked a question about something and was told 'you should know that'. Maybe I should but my last dive was 18 months ago and I have a full time job and other commitments..apologies that my dive skills are not constantly at the forefront of my mind. More small instances in the conversation like this, I have not really been treated that way before and did not appreciate it. Surely you have complete beginner divers so if you have a nervous diver, just treat them as you would a beginner? Be friendly and kind to them? Maybe this center is suitable for experienced, confident divers but I think you could find a better center if you're new or a bit nervous. The reason I have brought these things up is because you are marketing yourself as a dive resort. Please therefore make sure you have friendly, nice staff involved in the diving! I wouldn't come back to dive here because of my experience and this is why I have given the hotel 9 stars instead of 10.

I stayed two nights in a garden-view bungalow and loved how calm and relaxing the place was. The atmosphere is peaceful, perfect for unwinding. The restaurant was really good, and the view from the hotel is simply stunning.

Séjour très décevant au Bali Dive Resort. Le personnel était peu accueillant, souvent expéditif. Le seul moment où nous avons eu un vrai sourire, c’était pour nous proposer un taxi vers Amed, ce qui donnait l’impression d’être vus comme des clients de passage, sans réelle considération. Le dîner était correct, rien à redire. En revanche, le petit déjeuner était cher et très basique : formules limitées à leur minimum (œufs, bacon, un quart de tomate, oignons à peine cuits). Peu adapté au prix demandé. La chambre “premium” avec piscine partagée entre trois logements était en mauvais état : murs abîmés, draps douteux, salle de bain vétuste, climatisation partiellement défectueuse. Le ménage n’a pas été fait malgré notre demande explicite avant notre départ en plongée. Le lendemain, on nous a clairement fait comprendre qu’il fallait libérer la chambre dès l’arrivée du taxi. L’hôtel est isolé, loin d’Amed, sans chauffeur disponible en permanence. Il faut prévoir un scooter pour se déplacer. La vue sur la mer est agréable mais la plage est envahie de bateaux, donc peu propice à la baignade — uniquement adaptée à la plongée. En résumé : ambiance froide, prestations décevantes, localisation peu pratique. Nous ne reviendrons pas.

The location was wonderful and easy access to diving

There was a large group booked for a workshop during our stay. They were loud and had no regard to other guests. This was very disruptive to having a relaxing and peaceful environment.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolute Paradise – Can’t Wait to Return! Bali Dive Resort & Spa in Tulamben is pure magic. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome – their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care made our stay truly special. Every meal we had here was delicious – we enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner at the hotel every day, and each dish was fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Our room had the most spectacular ocean view – waking up to the sight and sound of the waves was absolute bliss. The resort is wonderfully quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and reset. Snorkelling right from the beach was beautiful, with vibrant coral and plenty of marine life. The highlight of our trip was visiting the USAT Liberty shipwreck, which was nothing short of amazing. Even as snorkellers, it was an unforgettable experience – next time, I’ll definitely be learning to dive here! This place is a little slice of paradise, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful, scenic, and welcoming, this is it. We will absolutely be back!

virkelig smukt resort med udsigt til Agung og havet. Haven er hyggelig og velplejet. Personalet er virkelig venlige og altid klar til at hjælpe hvis man spørger om noget. Store rummelige værelser hvor man føler sig hjemme.

Śniadania w formie zestawów, każdy wybierze coś dla siebie, bardzo miła obsługa, restauracja niemal na brzegu morza, nic dodać, nic ująć. Doskonałe świeże owoce do każdego zestawu.

Jedynym 'słabym' punktem obiektu (choć może to być też jego zaletą) jest brak w okolicy (walking distance) restauracji i innych obiektów o charakterze atrakcji turystycznych. Nie wpływa to jednak ocenę jakości świadczonych usług.

It was an incredible stay, the only reason I can't give it 5 is because our shower had small issues and there are areas on the hotel that need some love. On the other hand, the hotel and the staff will go out of their way to help you and Emily at the dive centre was incredible. Can't thank the team enough for an amazing stay.

We stayed at this resort due to inhouse scuba diving with was excellent. We had a great dive guide who found lots of great underwater creatures for us to photograph. The room was as described and had ocean views.

The breakfast was good, however the menu for lunch and dinner was a little less exciting. It was also a taxi ride away from the main Tulamben shopping district.

Unglaublicher Blick auf Pool, Meer, Vulkan. Sehr nette Mitarbeiter- kurzfristig Problem mit Insekten sofort gelöst. In der Küche war sogar glutenfrei möglich (Mitarbeiter haben unglaublich auf die Notwendigkeit unserer Zöliakie-Tochter geachtet). Super Tauchbasis. Super Essen-endlich große, leckere Portionen-wir sind Vielesser☺️

Spa teuer. Ort außer zum Tauchen nicht so spannend. Kaum Alternativen betreffend Restaurants…

Me gustó todo, enfocado principalmente al buceo. Si no buceas, está un poco alejado aunque esto a la vez te permite conocer el Bali menos turístico.

One of my favorite hotel stay. I stayed in the villa. It was beautiful. Clean, bright. I could see and hear the ocean. Restaurant on the property.

La ubicación del hotel es inmejorable. Una playa con tierra volcánica y aguas cristalinas. A cuatro metros de la orilla se observan corales y gran variedad de especies de peces. Mucha tranquilidad. El personal excelente.

Beautiful peaceful location. Very friendly and helpful. Gave us some very helpful tips and insights into Bali. Our son did the Open water Padi course and enjoyed it so much, he did the Advanced as well. A big shout out to instructors Emilie & Damian. Many thanks to Nicole and all of the team at the resort who made our stay memorable and wanting to return. We will definitely be back at some point in the future and will be recommending you to all our friends😃

Rooms were lovely, and staff were super lovely. The dive team Miikka, Sam and Emily were amazingly accommodating and supportive. We went to do our dive course and they made it super chilled and fun experience.

Food was limited and location meant you didn’t have a lot of options.

The dive center of this resort is excellent. Very high quality teaching and coaching. If you plan to use the dive center, this is a great place to stay and you may get a 10/10 experience. Unfortunately they do treat ordinary hotel guests as "less valuable".

Very poor guest service experience. You may be treated rudely when you ask the hotel management or dive center for help. They seem to follow a service standard of "let's penalize the guests if they don't buy all of our services" rather than trying to find a solution that satisfies the guests needs (and their own). In our specific case one half of our group used the in house dive center, the other half did not. Whenever the none dive center guests asked for regular guest service help (eg organizing transportation) they were treated rudely. There is no guest service or hospitality culture in this resort.

Sam hotel super. Natomiast poza nurkowaniem w dzień, wieczorami pozostaje jedynie spacer po plaży bo w miejscowości nie ma atrakcji turystycznych. Wymagane wypożyczenie skutera lub samochodu i wyjazd do Amid. Polecamy też koniecznie plażę Vergin Beach (Hidden Beach). Poza tym można kupić rybę od rybaka na plaży i kuchnia hotelu ją dla was przyrządzi (mniam, mniam)

Hotel is nice and clean. Restaurant is good. Good location to start snorkel or dive trip.

Helpful and friendly Staff. Good Diveguide Organisation. I see Turtles, moray eels, Manta Rays and beautiful Corals. Nice Location for to see the Sunrise. Good hard Beds for a deep Sleep. Also a good Place for to rent a Motobike for see some nice Place, like Pura Ulun Danu Bratan, the highest Waterfall from Bali (100 Metrs) or the Mupu Rice Terraces. Good drinks also.

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit im Resort. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die vielen lieben Mitarbeitenden, welche sich z.B. während des Essens rührend um unser Baby gekümmert haben. Unsere 9 Tage gingen schnell rum und wir hätten es auch noch deutlich länger ausgehalten. Daher Fazit: - Restaurant gut (César Salat sehr lecker) - Mitarbeiter und Mitarbeiterinnen sehr sehr freundlich. Top Service - Tauchschule super - Massage sehr gut - Pool traumhaft - Strand etwas verschmutzt

Great little resort, we went diving with them as well and had a fantastic time. Pool area is lovely and beach front too. Breakfast was a good selection and really yummy. The restaurant food was also fantastic. It’s a quiet area which is nice for peace and quiet. Rooms are large, shower heads maybe need checking as they spray in random Directions and our friends only seemed to come out in 3 streams of water, but that didn’t bother us.

Amazing location with an excellent dive school! We stayed at an ocean view bungalow nr 6 which was absolutely fab. The staff were exceptionally friendly. I would highly recommend staying here. Another plus; the restaurant staff served us breakfast way past breakfast hours, just ask nicely ;)

Mooie accommodatie. Direct aan zee gelegen. Grote kamer met goede bedden en ruime badkamer. Veel faciliteiten voor duikers en snorkelaars. Mooi zwembad met genoeg ligbedden. Personeel stug. Maaltijden eenvoudig en niet echt bijzonder. In de omgeving werkt de Grab app niet; geen auto’s beschikbaar.
