Staff very good. Good food. Clean rooms
The resort is very clean.
we'll surely come back it's relaxing
first time in this resort and definately coming back.. everyone is so nice and attentive..
Even there's negative review i read i still continue my visit. They rectified the issued about long hours of waiting for food orders. The places was awesome. I rented 3 rooms i hope next time they check everything one toilet was not working properly.. goodthing the room have two washroom.
The property grounds were nice but the beach front was a coral reef which was not shown in their website. We expected a beach with waves and sand but it was disappointing .
Such a nice place and Family friendly! The room was so nice the only weird thing is the breakfast buffet they have to call your number in order for you to get your breakfast. The place was well maintained and very clean definitely worth the money I spent!
Really beautiful and relaxing accommodation, read reviews about the internet but was really good, Would love to come back, staff very accommodating and welcoming
We almost cancelled our stay here because of bad reviews BUT we did have a really good time here. The staff are very polite and accommodating. All that you need are just a call away. The resort is very clean and well kept especially the infinity pool. The kids had fun in the beach because the water was very calm when we were there. The food was delicious in the buffet. Even the food we ordered in their restaurant was good (mostly the seafood & cheese pizza) Kid friendly place, perfect for family with small children. We will def go back here. Only downside is the food is a bit pricey but the taste compensates for it. Also, the AC in our room is a bit old and loud and not placed strategically so it takes some time before the room is cold enough.
It’s an option if planning to get away.
true nature beauty
mabait naman staff pero grabe hina data and no wifi sa rooms. the resort should have invested on towers that could improve signal. the resort looks good naman and its clean. food is okay. ammenities are okay too. pool is okay too. its just the signal talaga
There wasn't any kettle for coffee. Their menu was overpriced. You have to pa. For ice.
Stayed before and enjoyed the 1st time
Very attentive staff, room is serviced twice a week and bath towels for the pool area or beach and room daily. Not hassled for tips but of course they do appreciate your gratitude. Lovely staff , in fact everywhere we have been in Phillipines. Can't fault the friendliness from people here, a testament to their lovely culture.
I took my family here yesterday lunch to celebrate our Xmas. But our ordered took 2 hours to arrived. We almost fall asleep waiting. The food doesn’t great that much. The funny thing is when about to leave and walking one girl stop my husband and said sir are you paid? I showed her a receipt.I already went inside and paid by card and got the exit pass. She just showed up like an idiot. I felt insulted by her approached. She even wasn’t there when we ordered our food. Too much security they thought can’t pay your bill and run away. I have no plan to comeback this resort.
The staff are wonderful people. The property is clean. Problems are in summary, not facilitated to families. Children's playgrounds is a disaster, not safe. No facilities at beach front. Very restricted to time lines. Food is absolutely terrible and very expensive. The resort provides coffe at rooms, but no kettles. How does one make coffee? It's certainly not a family oriented resort. Would not recommend. As an architect, and traveler will never recommend or visit this resort again. There are many Phillipines resorts nearby with family orientation facilities.
The perfect hotel destination for family, we really enjoyed our stay at Purto del Sol. They have a holiday themed kids activity during our stay (like the easter egg hunt) . Friendly staff, delicious filipino food at the buffet, close to everything. You’ll enjoy the ride to and from the hotel to the tourist spots in Bolinao because of the spectacular view Patar Beach you’ll see along the way. Love the infinity pool and the kids eco / playground/ park.
Spending my wife Grace's birthday here was an excellent choice. Elma, Mary Jane & rest of staff were very accommodating. Seafood chowder was best. Will come back again definitely.
Property well maintained.
Not enough staff to meet the demands of customers during dinner time. It took over three hours for us to start dinner from the time the staff took our meal orders.
Property is great i love the pools. Amazing breakfast.
I will not recommend the unit of this facility to anyone and will never book there again. The room that we stayed in was too small and the air conditioning was blowing warm air. There is no Wifi in the room. There is no business office to do meeting or zoom meetings. I was told to do my meeting outside the restaurant/lounge area where there is wifi signal but poor lighting even though my meeting was at midnight due to time difference between the Philippines and the U.S. The bathroom in the unit stinks it smells like sewer and pee also has hair everywhere and moldy in the bathroom. The pool and the yard looks great otherwise and the new buildings. I was told that the old units are the one only for RCI very disappointed.
Pros: Great ambiance, beautiful sunset. Cons: The beach is rocky. You will be charged if you bring your own food. NO wifi inside the rooms. Instead of a kettle or coffee maker in the room, you will have to ask a staff for hot water. My mom had diarrhea from the food/water from a room service. The rooms don’t feel cozy. The mattresses are about 4 to 5 inches thick. The bathroom cleanliness is about 5/10, with lots of calcium and soap scum on the hardwares. Most of all, the atmosphere is NOT welcoming. It feels like you’re getting into a military camp. Everyone is so uptight and not happy looking.
Great experience! Away from the crowd
The resort is amazingly beautiful, but we had a less than pleasant experience with the receptionist, Janry. We arrived an hour early before the check-in time with a child and a senior citizen, hoping for a bit of consideration. Unfortunately, we had to wait an additional two hours, and it was extremely hot and humid that day. Additionally, we found the accommodation and food to be overpriced and not worth the cost.
The place is perfect so pristine pool and garden is amazing. Everything about this place is awesome ,staff are great, amenities plentiful, foods are smashing.
Myself and my wife stayed here for 3 nights last month. This is our third time staying over at the Puerto Del Sol Beach Resort. We had a lovely time, the stay was very comfortable. The suite was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The food and staff are excellent. Hopefully see you again next year and I recommended the hotel to our friend.
A fantastically built and well maintained hotel. Very clean, close to all local attractions. Friendly and helpful staff and very good local food. We visited three similar locations in the area before booking and this was by far the best.9/10
Extra charges for bringing outside goods to the room is outlandish. Wifi was not good. The 2 pools are in excellent shape and the grounds were immaculate
ne mangez jamais dans le restaurant de cet hotel : mon épouse a eu une intoxication alimentaire an mangeant des spaghettis carbonara il y a trois jours, elle est encore sous antibiotiques , le boeuf en sauce que j'avais commandé était immangeable : pas cuit ! bien sûr ils n'ont pas proposé de le rembourser, nous avons écourté notre séjour d'une jour, pas question de nous rembourser bien sûr ! never eat in this hotel's restaurant: my wife had food poisoning while eating spaghetti carbonara three days ago, she is still on antibiotics, the beef in sauce that I ordered was inedible: not cooked! of course they didn't offer to refund it, we cut our stay short by one day, no question of refunding us of course!
We had a very enjoyable day visit. The staff are very attentive and polite, the grounds are beautifully landscaped, immaculately maintained as are the swimming pools. Lovely beach side restaurant with nice food. One of our group had a massage and said it was refreshing. My five year old granddaughter loved the pools spending hours splashing around and improving her swimming. Highly recommended.
The hotel service and facilities are great. The breakfast buffet was also delicious and very reasonable. The beach is beautiful but always low tide.
DO NOT STAY HERE absolute nightmare start to finish, the worst holiday I have ever had. Not even a holiday at all more like prison. The female manager is VILE poor customer service and people skills, rude, unhelpful and poor attitude. My friend was in tears at reception about being over charged and the female manager started laughing at her- rude vile and unprofessional. …as a boss I would not tolerate that behaviour from staff it looks very bad on the hotel and to the customers. She wants sacking. Why is she in a customer facing role when she has no people skills or manners. We were over charged every single day and had to fight for the correct change, when things were calculated wrong and given the wrong change. NO vegetarian food options for breakfast. Breakfast on the last day was 836 pesos (£12) ???? Rediculous. I recommend going to K coffee instead. Bar closes at 9pm and then charged 600 pesos to bring your own food and drink in even tho the bar and restaurant is closed so you have no other option. VILE human treatment- locked in on the last day by security because our bill was WRONG and we refused to pay it ( we had paid everything we needed to and they just wanted more for incorrect charges) Got accused of not paying my bills when it had clearly come out of my account, greedy greedy company, management and staff!!! Needed an extra bed and they came with a brown mat on the floor and a rag to sleep on. Basically a dog bed. The service at the restaurant is so poor, slow and unresponsive, had to find the staff to ask to order, had to find the staff to ask for drinks, had to find the staff to ask to pay, I even stacked all of our plates and took them to the waiter to clear them away because NO ONE was doing their job. Then they refused to take service charge off… what service?? Zero vegetarian pasta choices. No kettle or wifi in the room, would be much better than having to ask for hot water all the time. Prices listed all over the hotel are WRONG. Massage prices listed outside reception and outside the spa are WRONG yet the expect customers to pay more despite the false advertising. Male receptionist gave us incorrect information saying an extra bed was £25 so we said no, then they changed it on the last day saying an extra ‘person’ is £25 …? Constant wrong information, it says on the contract extra BED not person, again this is apparently incorrect. SORT IT OUT Wouldn’t let us leave without paying the wrong charge, we didn’t get any clean sheets or bedding throughout our whole stay. Sun loungers are on top of mud, not ideal for your feet. I really would avoid this place like the plague. The pool is nice and Deverlee at breakfast is attentive polite and good at her job.
Pros: 1. Amazing Landscape 2. Food is above average 3. With 2 big pools. Infinity pool im front of Sitio Amore has a nice view of the beach front. 4. Sitio Amore rooms are big and quite new. Cons: 1. Although Sitio Amore is quite new, some of the appliances they used are quite old, like the aircon and tv. It is a mixed of new and old appliances. 2. Food is a little bit pricey as compared to other nearby hotels. 3. Wifi is almost non existent. For a hotel that is on the pricey side, you would expect the wifi to be strong.
The property is a good place to unwind because of its peaceful and spacious area. The food is good too as well as the location of their restaurant overlooking the beach.
There are additional corsage fee everything you bought from outside stores, like water, food, meats, etc. Beach not suitable for children to swim due to lots of rocks and weeds.
The wireless internet is not available in the room and everywhere else. The food, room, and beach are alright, but don't expect too much. The swimming pool and sauna are fantastic. We didn't go to the beach that time due to low tide. We got there at 6:40 pm and we got to our room suddenly, but our room couldn't be locked. The bathroom door is in poor shape. The bathroom was locked for almost 25 minutes with my husband, forcing me to kick the door. We asked for a new room and it took a considerable amount of time to transfer Because there is no manager at the site, only the receptionist and the guy who assists our bags, they are unable to decide if we can get another room. I spoke with the guard in the parking lot to check if there were a lot of guests, as I observed that there were only 3 cars parked in the area. He informed me that there were not many guests. After a long conversation, they decided to transfer us, but the locks were not as good as we expected, but still much better than before. There was a renovation taking place next to our room in the morning that we were not informed about, and it's noisy in the morning.
The rooms you stay in are ok, but half the resort in condemned and an eye saw. The people are fantastic and go out of their way to help you. I had to choose between TV and hot water. I was escorted by security when I arrived back with my takeaway lunch and was not allowed to eat it on site unless I paid an amount that was twice the value of the lunch to the resort. For the whole week there was no internet and I had specially asked about internet and was told it was available.
Smelly areas, no internet service on out two nights stay, called about their wifi not having internet, to no avail.
We stayed here for 3 days, wish it could have been longer. Great accomdation, great location, excellent food and service in the restuarant. One thing could have been better would be too insist that we place our order for dinner in advance or face having to wait an unreasonable amount of time is we'd just turned up in the restuarant.
Thank you puerto delsol, we've enjoy our stay. Good ambiance and nice facility as well the food. Good for relaxation.
Really nice hotel, good lay out, nice size pools and beautiful blossom trees. We stayed in mansion room (this is the cheapest room) and it was a nice size and comfy bed. Staff and are friendly and helpful. Things to improve, speed of service at the restaurant! We waited a whole hour for a pizza and it still was not cooked properly, we had to send it back and wait another 20 minuets. They could put a part of the pool in the shade. We would recommend this hotel and we will return again. If you don’t want to wait a hour for food these is a great restaurant opposit called giant taklobo.! Highly recommend.
Two beautiful swimming pools and the beach just a few steps away gives this hotel many relaxing options
The place was very clean and the grounds were well maintained. Beautiful setting! The bungalow was right on the beach with amazing views of the beach and the reef far in the distance. The water was crystal clear and very clean. The property had two pools and a jacuzzi that were well maintained. Our accommodations were not 5 star but very nice and quaint, but don't expect luxury. No screens on the windows, the bamboo floor had a few nails sticking up, the bathroom was separate from the room but only one step away. The room was up several steep steps with no elevator. Having said all that, it all added to the ambiance. I'd stay here again without any hesitation.
Beautiful beach!!! But staff need to appear more helpful to guests.
Staff is great, room need more privacy and the a/c in the room make so much noise need to be upgraded to more energy efficient.
Mr Berni, your staff did not give back our Php 2000 deposit. They said, we did not paid for it since we don’t have any receipt. But they wont let us stay and check-in without a cash deposit. They only gave us the policy and let us sign it. We thought that was it. We are used to Credit card deductions and return for deposits so it was all new to us. It was never deducted from our incidentals of over Php 7,500 and souvenirs from the shope of over Php2,000. The deposit is such a small money considering our reservation of 2 Kubo & 3 Mansion rooms worth more than Php60,000. But it is the integrity and principle that we are advocating for. It made me feel bad about the overall stay. Initially, I was disappointed with some lacking toiletries and basic amenities and maintenance but thought the service made up for it. I guess, I was mistaken and that small issue of no receipt, no deposit refund really stings. Very disappointed to what would have been a pleasant stay. Keep the money, thanks.
Beautiful grounds, good breakfast. Showers could use an upgrade
Very relaxing place, clean rooms, friendly staff... perfect place for relaxation...
Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, pools are clean... definitely will come back
Nice quiet resort. Friendly and helpful staff. Wifi is spotty. Great place to spend a few relaxing days
Absolutely stunning very peaceful and relaxing, very clean and tidy, amenities were also good . The food was excellent very tasty and very fresh.
It was a nice place but the food service is too slow. They charge extra for a lot of things. The restaurant is very open so the flies are all over you. The staff are very nice and accommodating though. Overall it was a good vacation with family.
Relaxing and will definitely come back soon.
The receptionists were not friendly and we encountered issues with the booking due to additional charges give to us prior to the booking.
Love everything about Puerto Del Sol from security, Pool, Staff, Restaurant, Accommodation, Excellent Place that you wanna go back again and again.
Overall place was good, specially the garden, beach front, but Room Expectations was not met. Room is outdated, a lot of mosquitoes, smell is old. Dirty bathroom with a lot of black molds on the corner, bath tub sower is clogged, you need to take the dirty cover, toilet bowl is outdated. No PWD or Sr Citizen discount for additional child. Booking is not promo. NO coffeemaker - you need to request hot water from time to time. No Cabinet for clothes or luggages, free water but in a pitcher already inside the ref. No food allowed. Towels are outdated. Please note that i dont have any intention to mess up with theHotel, but please check your rooms carefully and be considerate to all guests. This is base only from our experienced. Please see photos.
It was a wonderful time spent with our family. The place is very nice, worth every penny. 😊The food was also good, especially the pasta marinara and lemon chicken😋😋
Its great for week end for couple, quiet and comfortable. Bed little bit hard.
NO WIFI, NO MOBILE SIGNAL INSIDE THE ROOMS
The staff are very helpful, courteous and reliable. I feel very safe. The security guards are very visible. This is my 3rd time here at the Amore section. Food is good. Place is a good place to relax. I highly recommend.
The facility itself is beautiful. Two large pools and a front beach access however the service and room are outdated. We had the villa room. I requested beforehand a queen size bed instead of twin because we have our 9 month old baby with us but we were given a room with twin beds. They rectified the mistake and we were escorted to our new room. The floor was dusty. There’s no wifi in the room. The room lock (for the love of God) doesn’t work. Breakfast has limited options. Pancakes were stale and they ran out of coffee during buffet breakfast. To be honest the place is over priced for the amenities offered.
Very clean property and the staff was exceptional!
Liked: very near the ocean, very helpful, courteous, & professional staff, quiet & calm, clean facility Did not like: Swimming pool is filthy, no adequate towels & toilet paper provided, we have to call , it took about 2 hours for the requested facial towels to reach out our unit,
Aside from the little “creatures” in the bathroom, it was a pleasant stay. Staff were very courteous, always smiling and acknowledging the guests with a “good morning or good evening”.
I did not like how they charge extra for my children as adults when staying in same room
No activities. Dining facility is limited. Need a blackout curtains. Foods are limited. The staff are so warm. Customer support is fast. Just improve the place especially the rooms.
Serene. Love the garden. Staffs are accommodating and accommodation is as good as the first time.
Honest staff. I lost my iPad in the premises. An employee turned it in to lost and found. I was so happy I gave the employee an monetary reward. My iPad holds important data for me. What a relief.
Only comment I have is the dinner buffet, need more selections for the price they charge. Better to eat outside the resort for the price
One of the staff Ms. Jael went out of her way to really assist us as we checked in really late. The resto manager Mr. Bernie from Palo Alta, Calamba, Laguna took pain to check on the "dining needs and comfort" of their guests.
Check in was a breeze but note that you will be required to put in a cash deposit of PHP2000 upon check in. Outside food and drinks (except for snacks) are also subject to surcharge. The room looked great but I found the description a bit misleading. Sitio Amore is a 2-storey unit with 4 double beds. I've checked Expedia and even the resort website and this detail didn't come out very clear from the description. If we've known this, we would've opted to just book one room instead of two. Our room lock also didn't work which was an inconvenience. Granted, I opted not to bring this up since we will only be there for one night and didn't want to switch rooms. There also wasn't any wifi access as it is apparently not working at that time. For the amount that we paid for the rooms, this is quite disappointing. I also noticed that both bathrooms were too dark, it seems that only one light was working. The pool was really nice for both day and night swimming. The place was relatively quiet when we were there so the pool wasn't crowded at all. The beach was a bit of a disappointment. It was a bit of a walk to get to the sea (may be because it's low tide) and parts of the shore (sand) had shells/corals and sea weeds. Food was okay, I preferred their breakfast selection more than dinner. Overall good ambience but facilities/amenities could be further improved.
Worst stay in a while. I've stayed in many resorts throughout the Philippines, none with worse service though. We had booked a 3 night stay. We were a little unlucky that at the time of arrival a storm was also expected, but we can't blame the resort for the weather. What we can blame them for is the totally lack of service that followed. On the first night the storm hit, and knocked out the power, but we were told that they had a generator and it would be able to run for 6 hours and then it had to rest for 2 hours. Turned out it ran for 4-5 hours and had to be turned off for 3 hours, so we were without any power for most of our stay. It came back the day before we left again. Our stay were with breakfast and dinner included. On the second day my wife and I were having a snack at the restaurant in the afternoon, they told us that at 5pm they would come by our room and take our requests for dinner. But they didn't, we went to the reception to ask why, turned out they had left for the day, then we asked some staff who were standing outside. They said the kitchen staff and everyone had left for the day. We were traveling with 2 senior family members as well, it turned out, that they had called them in the afternoon, asking if they wanted something to eat, but at that time they weren't hungry, because they wanted to wait for dinnner. Somehow the staff understould that as noone wanted any dinner. Wifi didn't work at the resort at any time of our stay.
First off, the place was immaculate. We stayed for 2 nights, 3 days, in 4 separate rooms, and we loved how clean and modern everything was. What was disappointing was the inconsistency with the service staff. There appears to be a big communication breakdown between, well, everyone. One staff will say this, then another one contradicts it. They were consistently inconsistent the entire time we were there, it became old pretty quickly. They were small things (i.e. whether we can take a restaurant menu back to the room for room service since there wasn't any; or how many complimentary pillows come with the room with the additional people added; or how early they can serve hot water for coffee in the room). The fact that they go back and correct what the previous staff had said, consistently, really put most of us in a salty mood. If someone tells a customer this, you do not go back and clarify it, to the point of almost correcting the customer, when in fact, we were just going by what we were originally told. The one major thing, though it may be an Expedia issue, but I booked 2 rooms thru Expedia, and added 2 with Agoda. The Agoda rooms came with free dinners, whilst the Expedia rooms didn't. Over-all, we will go back, but will pack more patience.
The resort feels like luxury compared to other resorts. The only comments i have are in the room: needs a luggage stand, the room can handle a small table and some chairs so you can work / hang, sliding door to balcony needs to be fixed (hard to lock) and bed needs to be bigger (i’m 6 feet tall and my feet were over the edge of the bed)
