Lovely and comfortable stay in Golden. Host was very kind and responsive. House has everything you need to feel at home.

Great place to stay with families with a very accommodating host!

House, located in peacefull neighborhood. A lot of space for 6 people. Also big terrace with jacouzzi and barbaque. It gets colder during night, so it is excellent to sleep.

We loved that the house was so spacious. Huge kitchen and outside area, and close to all rhe major routes.

Very nice place.

We're always skittish about B&Bs because it's up close and personal, and we've been stung before. In this case, we weren't happy with hotel choices, and the reviews were positive. We had a wonderful stay. The host was actually out of town, but she had a wonderful replacement - Taylor. Taylor welcomed us, and did a great job explaining where everything was and how it all worked. Much appreciated. In the morning, Taylor cooked us a wonderful breakfast. Because we were the last two to eat (we had 3 choices of times), we had a great visit with Taylor, who was engaging and interesting, but not obtrusive. Our only slight disappointment is that walking to a restaurant was a little far, given the hills. Not a big deal. Auberge Kicking Horse B&B is certainly on our keeper's list. Bonuses: Every room has its own ensuite - which recently is a must with us, and there was a fridge and freezer available to keep our food cold and refreeze our ice packs.

Peaceful setting, close enough to downtown to walk (if you don't mind a hill walk on the way back, we didn't :)) and an amazing host and delicious breakfast. I would for sure stay again.

We stopped in Golden on our way to Jasper National Park, and Marie's lovely B&B was the perfect place to be. Marie was very welcoming to her lovely home - we had a relaxing evening and an excellent breakfast the next morning. Many thanks Marie!

Sat June 15. Worst breakfast ever. Eggs in a avacodo. Uneatable. The owners staff was in charge while the owner was out of town. The avacado was hard as a rock and the egg very overcooked. The towels are old and tired. House is not as clean as what we are used to. I opened the microwave to nuke my coffee and it was very dirty.as was the hottub We had stayed the previous week and the breakfast was delightful when the owner was there. She was very friendly and hospitableThis is a lovely location. Very comfortable accommodation but can not recommend for the above reasons.

Great hostess, and fantastic breakfast. Lovely outside areas for a glass of wine after a busy day.

We enjoyed the whole experience. Met a young German couple and learned about extreme skiing. The difficulties in becoming a mountain touring guide . Professionally speaking it’s a very tough job.

Aufenthalt im Juli 2018. Marie-France ist eine sehr nette, hilfsbereite Gastgeberin, sie gab uns gute Ratschläge hinsichtlich Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants. Super Frühstück.

Our first B&B experience. It was very pleasant overall. The only disappointment was the size of the bedroom - it was very small which made it difficult to find a place to have our luggage.

A room in a house with private bathroom. Access to Hot tub, very nice backyard, netted gazebo, large shared living room/Kitchen, full size fridge/freezer, parking in driveway. Even a great hot breakfast.

What a wonderful place to stay! Marie-France is a warm, friendly, welcoming host. There is a living room, backyard, gazebo and hot tub, all available to guests. The kitchen was open to me when I needed to make a late night snack. The room was lovely and very comfortable, with its own private bathroom. It felt like home.

Older home in a good location in a quiet, mature neighbourhood; lovely outdoor space; comfortable bed and pillows; very good breakfasts; very pleasant and accommodating owner.

Marie-France is the hostess of this excellent B&B. It is small - three guest rooms - so it feels like a home away from home. The rooms are standard bedroom size, but the rest of the house is house is quite commodious so there is no sense of being crowded or confined. Check-ins are handled very efficiently whether or not she is home at the time. Breakfast was creative and delicious - everything home made. A great place to stay over night or for a few days.

Very comfortable, attractively decorated, spacious accommodation. Marie France was very welcoming and provided a delicious, nutritious breakfast....everything was homemade and there was lots of variety.

A very cozy B&B. Clean and comfortable with good amenities. Room was spacious for B&B. The breakfast was good except for the coffee, which was too light. The receptionist and the owner were all very friendly.

Our host is very inviting, friendly, and helpful. She was happy to offer suggestions as to activities and restaurants in and around Golden. The rooms are small, but comfortable and clean. The breakfasts are outstanding. All fresh and home-made, nutritious and delicious.

Owner is enthusiastic and helpful in details from dining to hiking. Room was comfortable, clean and inviting. Breakfast was yummy and will last you all day. Golden is a great location from which to access great hiking.

Bei unserem Rocky Mountains Urlaub haben wir 3 Nächte in der Auberge gewohnt. Das Haus ist schön eingerichtet und zahlreiche Fotos & Bilder weisen auf die Hobbys und sportlichen Aktivitäten der Besitzerin hin. Schon beim Kennenlernen hat uns Marie-France Unterlagen, Karten & Bücher für Ausflüge, Wanderungen und Veranstaltungen gegeben sowie Tipps und Empfehlungen zu Restaurants genannt. Außerdem hat sie uns erklärt, dass wir den Wohn-/Essbereich im Erdgeschoss sowie die Terrasse, den Garten und auch den Außen-Jacuzzi gerne nutzen können. Den Gästen steht ein separater Kühlschrank für Lebensmittel & Getränke zur Verfügung. Für den Jacuzzi oder einen Besuch am örtlichen See haben wir zusätzliche Badetücher bekommen. In einem Seitenteil des Hauses liegen die 3 Gästezimmer – jeweils ein Schlafraum mit Doppelbett und einem von dort aus zugänglichen Bad. Im Gegensatz zu den Hotels bietet der Schlafraum zwar „nur“ ein Doppelbett – aber dafür hat man hier die Möglichkeit, die anderen Räume und den Außenbereich der Auberge mit zu nutzen. Zu einem mitgebrachten Abendessen konnten wir Besteck & Geschirr aus dem Haus verwenden. Wir haben abends im Wohnzimmer gelesen, den Ausflug für den nächsten Tag vorbereitet oder auch das freie WLAN für Wetter, Mails, Nachrichten etc. genutzt. Das Frühstück wurde von Marie-France zubereitet und serviert. Sie variiert das Frühstück von Tag zu Tag, geht auf die Wünsche der Gäste ein und bietet dadurch eine willkommene Abwechslung.

Marie is a wonderful host The breakfast was a treat.her home is immaculate. The bed was comfortable. Most of all Marie was gracious and full of information about the area. The price is also a great valued

Marie France was a warm and friendly host for whom nothing was too much trouble. Readily recommended restaurants and made a booking on our behalf. Excellent local knowledge of hikes and local activities.

Me and my 5 yr old son we taveling from Calgary to Kelowna , which a friend of 30 yrs had passed away , and had to stay the night in Golden due to a head on collisions. After waiting in a car line for 2 hrs and driving for 3 hrs . We decided to get a late dinner and I reserved the room from my phone while we where eating . After dinner we went to the room and were turned away from the B and B . Due to the accident and no one being able to get passed until the next day all the hotels were booked in Golden . This was very inconvenient traveling with a 5 yr old and I was unable to find a room till 1 am Sunday morning in Lake louise which was a hr away . This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had to hear my child say where are we going to stay dad , when your site had made me feel secure in where my child and I where sleeping . Is Expedia able to do anything for me to make this experience better ?

Host was excellent! Breakfasts were amazing and ready when you woke up. Would definitely stay again!

Friendly warm and helpful welcome, Nice house just 10 minutes frtom town with plenty of restaurants and places to eat for all choices,close to glacier and mount revelstoke parks for day trip. Clean and good size room,comfortable and good bed,shower and well presented. Lovely breakfast of fresh fruit,cereal and hot dish also pastries if you have room.Very helpful to have use of lounge,deck and lovely hot tub whenever you want,lovely stay thanks for making it enjoyable visit

We arrived about an hour before normal check-in time, but were still warmly welcomed by the owner. She was helpful with explaining the facility and services as well as recommendations for several restaurants. She suggested that if we hurried we could still make the last gondola ride at the Kicking Horse, which we did.

We loved staying with Marie-France. Excellent location, good facilities, very friendly host. Great personally prepared breakfast.

Just out from the town centre but close enough to walk into town. The Auberge Kicking Horse B&B sits in a pleasant residential setting and is easy enough to find with ample parking once there. Marie-France Lessor is the host and a nicer person you could not wish to meet. Offering good advice on where to eat or where to go and providing the best breakfast that we have had during our time in Canada. Sorry about the key, it's in the post. D

Very pleasant town and host. We were welcomed like family. Good recommendations for dinner.

We had some difficulty in finding this B & B and arrived tired and a little late. Our host opened the door to let us in and immediately requested we remove our shoes - despite the fact we had to go outside again to the car to retrieve our luggage. No slippers of any kind were provided. The bedroom was somewhat small and poky and we had some difficulty in not falling over our suitcases. There was only one bedside light for the twin-bedded room, so no chance of both of us reading in bed. Breakfast which had been talked up was disappointing. I make far better muesli than the one provided, the breakfast scones were boring and the baked eggs looked unappetising (We did not taste them). I feel that if one advertises a 'country breakfast' that perhaps some bacon or ham should be included, I do not recall any mention that no meat would be served. The fruit salad was very nice, but the yoghurt which, given the hype, might have been home-made was a single serve fruit variety.

I was lucky to stay this B&B. It was a beautiful home and incredible breakfast which are healthy and yummy were served every morning by great host, Marie.(home-made :-) ) She introduced some restaurants which were nice. I would recommend if you need to stay in Golden.

Booked two nights at Auberge Kicking Horse, liked it so much we booked a third. Room was good size and comfortable, breakfast was fantastic with homemade scones and muffins and other delights. Host Marie-France was extremely friendly and had some great tips for hiking, activities and restaurants in the area. Overall, a great place to stay in Golden and for access to Yoho and Glacier.

Wonderful hospitality and very clean. Was impressed there was a hot tub for guests to enjoy. The breakfast was very healthy and delicious!

Marie was a joy of a hostess... The highlight of our trip through Golden. So helpful and friendly it was tough to leave :)

Recommend to anyone who I know or don't know. Room is very clean. House (Kitchen & Living room) is nice. Maria (hostess) is very nice and knowledgeable about the things in the area. Especially her breakfast is the best.

We checked in late and we were given clear instructions on how to proceed but they were still up and greeted us. They were very friendly and the breakfast was excellent.Highly recomend this B&B

Our stay was very comfortable. We enjoyed our host Marie and our fellow travellers. Marie was very well informed about the Golden area and most helpful in planning our evening out.

We stayed overnight on our way to Alberta. The hostess was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. A car is necessary, as the location is not near downtown. We got a good dinner recommendation from our hostess. The bedroom is very small, but does have its own bathroom.

I have stayed at many B&Bs and this one comes in TOP NOTCH . The entire first floor is dedicated to travelers, including huge, clean hot tub on deck, which is surrounded by mountain views. Your hostess is utterly charming, well prepared for seasoned travelers, with a homemade breakfast that included many, many choices. Everything a delight!

Had a very enjoyable stay at Auberge while visiting Kicking Horse. The B&B accommodations are top notch, breakfast is great, and the host is as nice as they come. Definitely recommend Auberge to anyone visiting Golden/Kicking Horse. Can't wait to return!
