Acero Apartment

The hotel(apartment) is located in the center of Santiago. We visited in a period of protests and tasted the real life of Chileans ( teargas, riots, burning barricades, and the joy of celebration after presidents speach of defeat).as for the apartments themselves- everything you need to stay! The owner was very kind, and answered promptly when we asked, providing assistance ( in choosing excursions, in finding a rental car). Santiago - thank you we had a great time in a time of troubles!

Recomendo e voltaria a me hospedar lá.

TIVE UM PROBLEMA COM PAGAMENTO QUE COBROU NO CARTÃO, ONDE GOSTARIA DE PAGAR EM EFETIVO (acabei pagando as taxas absurdas do cartão) Reclamei e INFELIZMENTE ficou por assim, paguei e pronto!

Equanto a estadia tudo ok.

Check in was easy and accommodated our slightly early arrival

I was only passing by Chile after coming back from Australia to Brazil, so it was a very short staying only for two nights. I am used to pay by credit card with in the site and had never to worry about payment in person at any place, so this rules about payment were not fine for me (although I was advised by email before the cancelation date). There is no service, neither reception (also pre advised) but he concierge help was fine. All apartments are non smoking, but they allow smoking at the balcony, what was terrible for me and my allergies. There isn´t air conditioner at the apartment only a heate, which was very needed in a 3° night. Summing up it was fine for the purpose and price.

The property is in the central location (Aveneda) and 15 minute drive to the tallest building in Latin America. It's comfortable for the location and price.

Nora

The apartment itself was clean. Only thing lacking is heat but they gave us a space heater which was quite effective. A couple of things to watch out for though: 1. the guy at the front desk when we checked in does not speak English and was also not very nice when we tried to check in at 11 am - he kept insisting we come back at 2 pm even though our room turned out to be available 2. the check in process was pretty shady - the confirmation email Acero sends clearly stated that foreigners staying less than 60 days did not need to pay 19% VAT and foreigners who paid in foreign currency did not need to pay the VAT. However, when we checked in, we were told that 1) the email was wrong and that even if staying less than 60 days, we still needed to pay the VAT (we were only staying for one night), 2) that they would only take foreign cash because apparently their credit card machine only does Chilean currency, and 3) he entered an inflated exchange rate when doing the calculations (638 Chilean pesos per USD instead of the official rate of 628 Chilean pesos per USD at the time). Our original quoted rate of $48 all of a sudden ballooned into $57 for the night

Perfect place for a getaway to Santiago. Clean, modern, very complete.

Muito bom. Bem organizado e bem localizado.

This apartment is centrally located with shops and restaurants nearby and about 15 minutes walking from the metro. The room is very clean and in great condition. I highly recommend this apartment hotel to anyone who wishes to have a great vacation in Chile.

Acero Apartment is centrally located with shops and restaurants nearby. It takes about 15 minutes to walk from Acero Apartment to the Metro. The room is clean, spacious, comfortable and quiet. I definitely will come back to this apartment.

The place is centrally located. The neighborhood isn't the prettiest but felt very safe. Great little local bakery next door and other stores where you can get anything you need. The place was very clean. The bathroom needs some regrouting around the tub.

Accomodations were good, clean (a bit of mold in shower). Pool was closed on arrival, sent a message to Acero, no response. When it came time to pay, they were charging 19% tax. I told them foreigners don't pay the tax but they said that the credit company charges it so i would have to pay unless i paid cash.i refused and they lowered the amount with no tax. Also, they had an inflated exchange rate...be careful! Too bad since it's a decent apt.

Privat vermietetes Apartment. Ansonsten alles gut.

Tout était parfait. On a répondu à toutes mes questions.

Confortable, Close to City Center, Staff available to answer questions, Fast Internet Available.

very comfy apartments

We had a great experience in this apartment. It is not really a hotel, there is no room service, but we already knew that. It's an apartment all for yourself, with all the necessary accommodations, nice bed, good appliances. The apartment is well located a few blocks from the center of Santiago. There's a parking space in case you rent a car or for any friend or family visiting. I loved my stay there.

Bem localizado, próximo a tudo, metro, ônibus e passa taxi a todo momento.

Nice Apartments In a good location shopping mall grocery stores and restaurants walking distance. The hotel was very clean and maintenance were kept up on it very good.Only problem I had was with the manager he was not professional.

Nice modern apartment, but is badly in need of deep clean. Unfortunately no cooking basics provided like oil, salt or pepper. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but it was OK. Swimming pool area nice. We found a cheaper apartment around the corner which we preferred, but it was smaller inside. Quite close to city centre, but not a lot in the immediate area.

A limpeza e organizaçåo do ambiente é o aspecto que chamou nossa atenção. Recomendo.

Buena recepción. Linda la pileta en la terraza. Ascensor ok. Estacionamiento.

The location is walking distance from public transportation - there are apartments closer to the main blvd for the same price. The place was comfortable. Clean towels were provided and the TV, internet, cable were decent. Communication with owner was ok - they were attentive but not overly friendly. The fridge was tiny, and the kitchen had low quality and basic supplies - it seemed like the bare minimum was spent. We had a complaint about the water boiler, and the owner brought us a different one the next day. Not dirty, but not particularly clean, the carpets seemed a dingy, but the bathroom was clean. Overall, for the price, not horrible. We visit Santiago frequently and this was our impression

Excelente

Saludos!

Good stay in downtown Santiago, it's located about a 15 minute walk from downtown center the apartment is in walking distance to stores and restaurants. Rooms were decent in size with big comfy beds and had adequate amenities. If you need a parking spot contact the owner and you get to park in the underground garage.

A fantastic apartment 15mins walk from Plaza De Armas

We had a pleasant stay here. Coming from Australia without Spanish background, it is awesomely difficult to communicate with the receptionists who can't speak any English. Have to contact the owner direct by phone to sort out problem. Even though a jug is provided but it would be nice if tea and coffee are provided

10 minute walk to the central part easy access to the metro. Booking in is a problem as the apartments have no one on duty at reception so they have to call and you have to wait. Payment was easy as the manager comes round when you check out. Often long wait for lift and no left luggage option. This place is a very good base for a stay in Santiago.

Good Apartment

Very nice apartment. Very cozy. Very friendly and helpful owner. Highly recommended

bed is ok, wifi is OK, room not clean at all. No AC in the room

Well located near centro. We stayed 16 nights. Nice swimming pool on last floor. No great view. A couple of nights were noisy because of some parties 2 levels above us. No AC but a fan is available.

My husband and I stayed at the Acero Apartments for 4 nights on our way to visit family in Brazil. We were very happy with our accommodation - the bed was comfortable and overall, facilities were just what we required. Once we found our bearings, we found the location was handy to most places. Natalia was very friendly and helpful and organised a taxi to take us to the airport, which was much appreciated. We did find that the reception staff had little or no English and this did make things a difficult for us - even when we used our translation book, they didn't seem to comprehend. We decided to stay for a couple of nights on our way home and would definitely go back to stay. If you are on a budget, we would thoroughly recommend Acero - definitely value for money.

I was in Santiago for a work trip. I saw this apartment hotel and it was a very good price, so I decided to book it. The hotel was a GREAT value. Very clean with great amenities (kitchen, cable tv, patio). Atte was very nice to talk to and gave me tips on the other places I should visit in Chile. Overall a great price and location is just south of city centre.

The apartment was a great break from private hostel rooms. The location was a 15-20 minute walk to the plaza de armas but that was fine for us. Natalie was also very nice and extended our stay when we asked. Would recommend!

the apartment was small but very comfortable with modern furniture, excellent for the price. It is in a condo building with ver good security and friendly people who for the most part do not speak English. Will stay again enjoyed my stay.

It is small but it is all you need! Very clean, centric, walking distance to everything! Would come back! The only con is the internet, it says it has internet but it actually is the internet of another floor so sometimes you get internet sometimes you don't. everything el se excelent!

This is a great deal - it is an apartment (not a hotel or hostel etc..). Very clean and there's cleaning service everyday if you like. Comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, cable TV, super fast internet. We were also able to use the gym and pool. Natalia is great, speaks english, is super quick with communication and accomodating. Overall a great deal, especially for longer stays.

We enjoyed our stay on arrival to santiago and returned again to stay when we were in santiago again. Apartment is clean, comfy and has self catering kitchen. It's located centrally in Santiago Metropolitana region and close to transport. There are many sights, shops all within walking distance.

This place is ok and convenient. I recommend it for long stays or for spending a night when connecting flights in Santiago, because it allows to stay in a comfortable, clean, conveniently located room for a very low price. It is not a hotel. It seems to me it usual in Santiago to own several apartments for rental or kind-of-hotel accommodation.

The flat was very convenient and clean and well-located, 5-10 mins walking from Universidad de Chile Metro stop. There was also a TV (English and Spanish channels), fully-equipped kitchen, and a good bathroom. Natalia, the owner, was very helpful and friendly and prompt with communication, e.g. when I needed to get an adaptor as Chile has a different socket from UK/Europe/USA.
