This is the perfect place to stay in Bacalar. Each unit has an equipped kitchen so meals can be prepared in room or it is walkable distance to many choices of restaurants. Parking is safe and secure. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Morning breakfast under the palapa is a great start to your day.

Tranquilidad en la habitación. Hay seguridad. Estacionamiento. Si te estás de pado conociendo la península es buen lugar para pernocta.

We had a really nice view of the lake. Staff was attentive and site security was good. Rooms look nice but need updates. We lacked hot water and the internet service wi-fi was nonexistent (even after requesting a fix). The hotel was not quiet for a number of reasons, often waking us at night.

Hay tranquilidad, me pareció un lugar super agradable para estar con mi familia además esta céntrico donde puedes ir caminando a varios puntos de interés.

great !!..@! goodPrivacy..greatsecurity. BUT!! rundown exterior buildings. All Concrete walls..EVERYTHING needs to be sealed PAINTED. All pool lounge chairs r broken! Needs replacement. Can use seat cushions on suite patio chairs. Cannot sit on wood for very long

I've stayed here twice now and love it. While they have to manually open the entrance door and car gate there is hardly a delay. It is safe and secure. Will be returning. I just hope they don't replace any more refrigerators with the smaller ones. I prefer the large ones to make ice for my water containers.

Appart hotel avec vu sur la lagune mais sans accès. Les appartements sont très très spacieux. 2 chambres et 2 salles de bain. Une cuisine ouverte sur le salon. Un deuxième salon. Une grande terrasse. Cuisine tres peu équipée avec seulement 4 assiettes 4 couteaux 4 fourchettes etc. Une plaque de cuisson, un four micro.onde et un frigo.. Une piscine (non testée). Pas de menage. Lhotel est situé à une dizaine de minutes a pied du centre ville. Resto pas tres loins

Perfect location. We could easily walk to the gorgeous lake with waterfront restaurants or the center of town with all the restaurants and shops. Plus we had a little view of the lake. Staff was very nice. Rooms were spacious. Faded beauty but good price. Restaurant is only open for breakfast sometimes but there’s a good breakfast cafe a block away. They keep the front gate locked and we felt perfectly safe.

We enjoyed our stay at Villas Bakalar. The location is good and an easy walk to restaurants and the lagoon. The rooms could use a little bit of a refurb. Although there is a small kitchen don't plan on cooking much. There is very little in the way of pots/pans/utensils. Both the electricity and water went out for a whole day and didn't come back on until 8pm, which was a bit of a nuisance, but the hotel did offer us breakfast as a recompense which was nice. This is listed as a 5 star hotel, but it's definitely not, so don't get your hopes up.

The cleaning crew and host very friendly, lots of space, everything needed and a great view of Bacalar lagoon, only a block away.

La amplitud y que puedes cocinar , en verdad es una casa cómoda y muy fresca con una vista de la Laguna Bacalar

Una estancia muy agradable, todas las instalaciones en muy buen estado , las habitaciones con espacio suficiente y las estancias muy amplias , aparte muy bonita vista a la laguna desde la terraza . Check in muy rápido y su personal muy amable . Les recomiendo mucho este lugar

VEIW OF THE LAKE IS AMAZING. VERY CLOSE TO THE LAKE AND RESTURANTS AND STORES. STAFF VERY NICE AND HELPFULL. WE HAD A 2 BEDROOM SUITE SECOND FLOOR WHICH WAS A LARGE 2BEDROOM APPARTMENT WITH SITTING ROOM DINING A ND LIVING ROOM AND KITCHEN AND REFRIGERATOR , STOVE AND MICRO WAVE. VERCOMFORTABLE BEDS AND WHICH WAS CLEAND EVERY DAY. WE CAN'T ASKE FOR MORE! I THINK VILLAS BACALAR IS ONE OF THE BEST IN THE AREA,

Very nice staff, secure grounds, bed was a little hard but most are in mexico. Loved the space. Tv in living area didn't work but that was no issue.

It's a beautiful spot close to the centre of everything with a great view of the lake. The wifi had me freezing on Zoom calls, but was pretty good for everything else. The breakfast is made for you beside the pool up until 10am and is very reasonably priced.

Spent 2 days at the hotel. Internet was not very good to work, but I suppose it's everywhere in bakalar. Breakfast was good (not included) and the appartment big and nice, somewhat old (80s?). The TV wasn't flat (didn't see one for a decade). It's a gated hotel so someone has to open you to park the car or to access the property, a little bit annoying if you go out late

This might be a suitable place for Mexican families because the rooms are actually suites with kitchens. However , the staff speak no English at all and that could be a problem for travelers who do not speak Spanish.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was literally the size of an apartment. Thoroughly enjoyed our night there.

Nice location and friendly staff but no too many amenities like the restaurant. They only serve breakfast!

Pool was empty and air conditioning was sub par. The on site breakfast restaurant was very limited.

I arrived very late and there was a person to help me at the door. Room was clean and spacious.

We stayed here two nights on way to Belize... hotel was good for the price paid..3 blocks from the plaza, restaurants nearby and a small store, wifi ok, bed a little hard, nice staff with limited english.

Little paradise. Close to downtown. Just go down to avenida 1, make a right, walk till you come upon the pirate port (looks like pyramids ). Walk up the stairs and welcome to Bakalar :)

This place is very nice the pool is nice the room was great, full cooking facilities and fridge, walking distance to centre of town, food and shops. The staff were extremely helpful to us in getting a taxi to our next destination. Would definitely recommend staying here and I would stay here again.

Dirty and smelly hotel!! They have great potential! Huge rooms with a kitchen with blender and great view, but come on!!!! Clean it! The smell was so strong (smell like urine ) that we literally woke up with a hard headache! We didn't touch the dishes and showered with shoes..... we left after that night to another town (they ruin Bacalar lagun experience). It's a shame for them....

The place is great the rooms are great and clean but I was very upset when I asked to cancel one night they kept telling me the manager will be here any second tomorrow tomorrow at eight tomorrow at 10 she never came she never spoke with me .

It was terrible the hotel doesnt have restaurant service, the pool was part empty. I have to leave the hotel 1 hour later I get there. I try to cancell but they tell me they are not responsables for my reservation.

Great place. We had a problem with the room door lock, but we got offered to switch room.

Very nice, clean, swimming pool was very refreshing and the views were good.

This hotel is the worst ever. At one time it may have been nice, but there has been no upkeep. I honestly saw a the biggest spider I have ever seen outside of a cage, it had FUR! The hotel is also in outside of the pueblo and right next door to the towns loudest night club. Imagine the bass of a rave party until 4am.
