החדר המשודרג שהזמנו היה קצת סתמי. הוא פנה לחצר פנימית, היה בסיסי למרות שלא היה הכי פשוט. ואז שדרגו אותנו לחדר יותר יוצלח בתוספת עוד תשלום.

We had an amazing stay at Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden. From the moment we arrived, we felt that this was a special place. The hotel location is incredible, surrounded by mountains and breathtaking views. Our room on the highest floor with the mountain view and fireplace was absolutely beautiful and made the stay unforgettable. The spa facilities are excellent, the breakfast was delicious with a great selection, and the entire team was very friendly and professional. What we appreciated most was the combination of luxury and comfort. The hotel feels elegant, but still warm and welcoming. It was not just a place to sleep, it was a real part of our vacation experience. Thank you to the entire team for making our stay so enjoyable. We would love to come back again.

The location is absolutely gorgeous and the facilities are welcoming and pristine. We loved the breakfast buffet and how easy it was to get to where we wanted to go from the hotel.

My room was facing the inner garden and on the Friday night there was a lot of people who were really loud and being disrespectful after midnight, so I had a very poor night sleep, this upset me because I paid a lot of money for our rooms

Hier kann man einfach entspannen und sich zurücklehnen, die Zimmer sind sauber und gut Ausgestattet. Frühstück war sehr lecker und das Personal immer freundlich und Hilfsbereit. Ich werde definitiv wiederkommen!

Ein wunderschönes, klassisches Hotel in traumhafter Kulisse. Nicht überzogen, sondern einfach nur erstklassig.

Hervorragendes Hotel. Wir sind immer mal wieder gerne als Gast im Kempinski Hotel Berchtesgaden. Sehr guter und zuvorkommender Service in allen Bereichen, sehr leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen, sowohl im Restaurant als auch an der Bar. Der Pool- und Wellnessbereich ist phantastisch mit einem phänomenalen Ausblick auf die Berge und das Kehlsteinhaus. Sehr empfehlenswert für den gehobenen Anspruch und/oder für die besonderen Anlässe im Leben.

Es gab nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hätte.

Tolle Lage, 400 m oberhalb von Berchtesgaden. 24 % Steigung. Ziemlich kernig. Toller Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und MTB Touren. Schönes Spa. Geniales 2* Restaurant. Extrem zuvorkommendes Personal.

Weine und Minibar ziemlich teuer. Kein regelmäßiger Shuttle nach Berchtesgaden.

if you came back after 8:30 you will have nothing to eat because the hotel restaurants are either close or full + there is no any restaurants nearby since the hotel is up the mountain

Das größte Plus sind die Mitarbeiter - freundlich auf angenehm ungestelzte Art, in jedem Bereich, ob Rezeption, Valet-Service, SPA-Bereich, Lounge oder Frühstück - das gibt es nicht mehr oft. Das Frühstück ist mit dem hohen Anteil an persönlicher Betreuung (das Buffet ist vergleichbar mit anderen Hotels) herausragend: es werden Shots serviert, kleine frische süße Mehlspeisen persönlich angeboten ... Betreuung at its best.

Der Pool-Bereich fällt im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels dieser Preisklasse ab: zu klein, der Außenbereich könnte aufregender gestaltet sein - vielleicht kommt das ja im Oktober 2026. Die Möglichkeit der Zubereitung von Kaffee/Tee auf dem Zimmer wäre eine Verbesserung. Bei der Höhe der Kosten für Hunde sollte schon berücksichtigt werden, wenn zwei Hunde angemeldet sind - was Hundebett, Napf und Futtermenge angeht.

Die Lage ist einsam, die Zimmer sind schön groß, gut ausgestattet. Beim Bett wären 2 separate Matratzen besser als eine große, das Frühstück war sehr lecker und umfangreich. Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend.

Eigentlich gab es nichts, was nicht gefallen hat.

The location and the entire setting are fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful (I would especially like to highlight Krisztián, who went well above and beyond his duties). Wonderful breakfast and comfortable rooms. If we return to the area in the future, we will definitely stay here again!

The pillows could have been more comfortable, but apart from that, everything was perfect.

We have now stayed at the Kempinski Berchtesgaden several times, having first visited in 2008 and most recently before this stay in 2018. After the birth of our children, we had not been back for several years, so we were particularly happy to return to a hotel we have always loved. The setting is simply breathtaking. The hotel is surrounded by a truly spectacular landscape, and its location remains one of its greatest strengths. The staff were, as always, exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was equally impressive. These are all things that make the Kempinski Berchtesgaden a very special place and explain why we have returned repeatedly over the years.

Unfortunately, several aspects did not meet the standards we would expect from a five-star superior hotel. The main entrance was surrounded by parked cars, which significantly detracted from the arrival experience. The €25/night parking charge also felt unnecessarily transactional for a luxury property and would be more appropriate as part of the room rate. The spa showed visible signs of wear, including missing mosaic tiles and grout. We were told renovations are planned for October, which is welcome, but similar issues have apparently been mentioned in reviews since 2022, making the delay difficult to understand. We also noticed visible black discoloration inside the washbasin overflow in our room. Finally, the €1/night mountain-rescue contribution was presented at check-out as an optional extra that could be removed. We fully support the cause, but this approach felt somewhat inappropriate and inconsistent with luxury hospitality. Taken together, these additional charges create an unfortunate impression of a “low-cost airline” pricing model rather than an all-inclusive luxury experience. At this level, we would expect more seamless and generous hospitality.

Einfach ALLES!!! Die Location ist atemberaubend. Das gesamte Personal – egal ob an der Rezeption, im Restaurant, beim Roomservice oder beim Parkservice – ist unglaublich freundlich, hilfsbereit und gleichzeitig so effizient. Das fällt wirklich auf und muss an dieser Stelle besonders hervorgehoben werden, weil jede(r) Einzelne dazu beigetragen hat, dass wir uns so wohl gefühlt haben. Das Frühstück ist spitzenklasse, vor allem in Kombination mit diesem Ausblick. Auch der Pool ist toll und das Fitnessstudio hervorragend ausgestattet. Was ich so tatsächlich noch nie erlebt habe: Meine vierjährige Tochter hat nicht nur kostenlos übernachtet, sondern durfte auch kostenlos essen! Eine wirklich außergewöhnliche Aufmerksamkeit. Und wenn man sich fragt, wofür das „Superior“ hinter den fünf Sternen steht – nach unserem Aufenthalt haben wir es definitiv verstanden. Ein rundum außergewöhnliches Hotel, bei dem wirklich alles stimmt.

You rate a hotel out of five stars. The Kempinski Berchtesgaden sits somewhere off that scale — extraordinary in a way a rating can’t hold. We came as a family, with a 20-month-old. That’s usually where luxury hotels quietly show their limits. Here it was the opposite. Our son was welcomed everywhere — in the pool, at the playground, and at breakfast, where the team looked after all three of us with a warmth we won’t forget. My wife finally rested. And every morning we opened the curtains to the Alps. Faultless service, an unreal setting, and — rarer than both — real kindness. We didn’t want to leave. Extraordinary is the only honest word. Thank you.

Wonderful week stay….fantastic location as we walked to several sights such as the Documentstation and Eagles Nest bus station. My husband and son enjoyed the golf course. The spa and pool were also very nice. We appreciated breakfast being available until noon so we could have relaxed mornings. Overall hospitality and service are excellent.

We booked our stay at Kempinski through Fine Hotels & Resorts. While the first night was well arranged with a larger room due to the fact that we were traveling with our 9‑month‑old baby, the following nights were inconsistent. On the second night, we were moved to a smaller room on the 2nd floor. For the third night, although a 3rd‑floor room had been assigned in advance, this arrangement was changed upon check‑in and we were asked to remain in the same room. The housekeeping was minimal, and bath amenities were not replaced or refilled. The front desk service was standard but lacked warmth, enthusiasm, or a sense of genuine hospitality. It did not convey the feeling of being welcomed as guests. In contrast, the breakfast restaurant team delivered excellent and attentive service

A heartfelt piece of advice: this hotel falls short of all standards regarding sophistication, excellent service, and cleanliness. It does not deserve its five-star rating, I do not recommend it 📍Unfortunately, upon our arrival, there was no one at the hotel entrance. The reception staff were neither competent polite … When I walked in, they were busy dealing with a large bed blanket—imagine that! They wouldn't attend the check-in because they were testing out a blanket right there at the reception desk.😤That wasn't all; The receptionist was unpleasant, unsmiling, and uncooperative. When I asked for a nice room, she simply replied that it was a standard room and couldn't be changed. After a long, arduous wait—and once the blanket display was finally over—she handed me the key. As I took it and walked away, she shouted “Excuse me! Excuse me!” at the top of her lungs because I hadn't thanked her. Do you think she deserved thanks? To make matters worse, I didn't know where the elevator was, and no one directed me; I had to figure it out myself through trial and error until I finally reached the room. And what did I find? An uncle's room and a dirty bathroom, with empty tissue boxes. I have photos of everything that happened. I called the front desk to ask if the General Manager or the Hotel Manager was available, and she replied dismissively—laughing—that the General Manager and the Hotel Manager are the same no different same hotel told general same hotel and there is no difference. no any hotel have 2 manger 😤She works at the reception in the hospitality industry yet doesn't realize that high-end hotels have distinct roles like General Manager, Hotel Manager, Rooms Division Manager, Front Office Manager, and so on. I realized she was ignorant and lacked essential hotels and hospitality skills. So much happened—there is far more to tell than just this.

Zimmerzuteilung unmöglich, Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption und Frühstückservice unfreundlich und unmotiviert. Schwimmbadbereich schließt für Kinder um 18 Uhr und für Erwachsene um 20 Uhr!!! Es wird keinerlei Herzlichkeit oder Gastfreundschaft ausgestrahlt. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist unterirdisch. Wir waren früher Stammgäste, würden aber nicht mehr buchen.

This property is in a stunning location. The rooms are nice and modern - big enough but with double beds. All seem to have views. There were a lot of young kids here which is weird because there is so little for them to do here - plain tiny outdoor pool, tiny indoor pool, one swing, no kids club. It’s like an adult spa hotel design that allows kids. The breakfast is incredible and included (the rooms are very expensive so that was a little perk) and the people who work here are all very nice. We came here to see Eagle’s Nest and Lake Konigssee which were both worth it but you do not need more than a night here, two max. I can’t quite figure this place out honestly. Feels conference-y, but with children and a wellness angle.

The hotel definitely needs refurbishment as everything is exactly the same like roughly 20 years ago when I came here for the first time.

This may be my favorite hotel I have ever stayed in! Spectacular views, relaxing atmosphere, top notch service, and secluded. Luxury in the mountains. I wish I would have had time for a spa treatment. Pool was very refreshing and warm!

Außergewöhnlich gut geschultes und sehr sehr freundliches Personal. Ab Tag 1 wird sich der Name gemerkt, auch Vorlieben, sowie Rücksicht auf Kinder. Sensationelle Lage, sehr gutes Essen und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind leicht zu erreichen. Das Spa und Poolberreich bieten viel Abwechslung. Die Suite hatte eine große Terasse und einen unglaublich schönen Ausblick.

De openingstijden en -dagen van de restaurants konden ruimer. Het luxe restaurant was helaas niet geopend op de dagen dat we er verbleven

C’est un très bel hôtel, le personnel est bienveillant souriant et professionnel. La décoration est superbe. La chambre est spatieuse et la vue sur les montagnes est un vrai plus qui permet un dépaysement total. Le petit déjeuner est incroyable, les aliments sont de qualité. J’ai l’habitude des hôtels mais c’est le meilleur petit déjeuner que j’ai pu goûter ! Le Room service est appréciable et les plats au restaurant sont délicieux et réfléchis pour que l’association des saveurs se mélange parfaitement. Des plats typique, gourmands et des portions généreuses : tout ce qu’on attend! La vue sur la piscine extérieure, chauffée, permet de vraiment apprécier le paysage même lorsqu’il fait un peu plus frais. Le fait que la piscine soit autorisée aux enfants jusqu’à 18h et jusqu’à 20h pour les adultes permet de profiter différemment, c’est rare que ce soit proposé. La salle de sport est aussi extrêmement bien équipée, quoiqu’elle soit légèrement petite. Nous avons passé un superbe séjour : l’environnement de l’hôtel est top : plusieurs activités proches sont à faire en voiture autour.

La literie mériterait d’être plus qualitative : les oreillers sont très mous. Je me suis réveillée tous les matins avec un mal de cou… et le lit est trop ferme à mon goût, mais peut être qu’il sera au goût de celui de quelqu’un d’autre ! Le prix des entrées / plats / desserts au restaurant, ceux du room service et des boissons sont quand même très excessifs. C’est un point qu’il faut prendre en compte à l’avance puisqu’il n’y a pas de restaurant autre aux alentours ni de supérette.

Wow! What a hotel, what a location! Staff amazing, very helpful, very polite and friendly. Spotlessly clean, modern and well appointed. Breakfast amazing, staff brilliant. We stayed in a series of hotels during our European road trip and this was best. We will definitely be back and for longer the next time. Secure underground parking - but valet only if you prefer parking your own car, but the guys were really good - and a good laugh.

We have just spent a week at the Kempinski Berchtesgaden. It is a beautiful hotel. Our room was spotless, large and very comfortable. We had a deluxe terrace room with fabulous views of the mountains. The concierge team were very helpful recommending walks , buses etc. The breakfast range is huge and delicious.we ate in the bar which is lovely with a good range of food. Parking is slightly expensive but mostly efficient. I would have appreciated a shuttle bus from the hotel down into Berchtesgaden as it’s too far to walk and we went there for dinner on three occasions when my husband couldn’t enjoy the local beer as he was driving.

Room, excellent views, away from town in the Alps, excellent produce at breakfast, lovely Alpine meadows on the hotel grounds. Excellent staff and service, one of the best I've experienced. Exceptional.

Having to pay 25 euros per day for parking even though it was valet. At the prices we paid free parking should be included especially as it's out in the countryside. No international power points or USB charging options. had to borrow adaptors.

Einmalige Lage, unglaubliche Landschaft, phantastische Blicke, tolle Architektur, freundliches und kommunikatives Personal, gutes Frühstück - im Preis.

Nicht immer konnte der eigene Anspruch (5 Sterne Superior) erfüllt werden, aber das waren Kleinigkeiten.

Hotel je v krásném místě a má naprosto dokonalý snídaňový servis. Okolí hotelu je klidné, příroda je nádherná.

wellnes je za zenitem a kapacitně naprosto neodpovídá velikosti hotelu a dnešním standardům. Pokud by bylo wellnes lepší, trávili bychom v hotelu víkendy opakovaně.

Lokalita skvelá, hlavne ak chcete navštíviť Kehlsteinhaus (Orlie hniezdo) - nástupište autobusov je asi iba 8 min pešo. Vybavenie izieb skvelé, houžiaľ spa a bazén sme nemali čas navštíviť, takže neviem posúdiť. Večerali sme v Restaurant Johann Grill a kuchyňa bola výborná.

Raňajky boli výborné, akurát sme príliš dlho čakali na ojednávky (káva, omeleta.....).

Neskutečně vynikající snídaně a i ostatní jídla. Okolí hotelu je překrásné, vynikající výchozí bod k výletům. Hotelové bazény jsou úžasné. Ticho a pohodlí na pokoji 257. Vstřícný personál, design hotelu je moderní a cítíte se v něm pohodlně. Skvělá vinotéka hotelu.

Ve vysoké ceně pobytu už by mohlo být zahrnuto parkování v garáži. Takto jsem zaplatil 25,- EURO za noc.

Breakfast is definitely one of the best we ever had in a hotel in Europe. Nevertheless there is still some room for improvement, for example: Despite being renovated fairly recently, the carpetes and the toilet ceramic need urgent attention and/or replacement. I also suggest to add a soft-close toilet seat. Service at front-desk is kind of a mixed bag. We inquired several times about different things and mostly the answers tended to be completely false or unhelpful. For example my wife catched a tick while hicking and it was impossible to get a tick-card or a recommendation for a pharmacy that was open on weekends. Answer was: „maybe in Bad Reichenhall“ and „we don’t have a tick-card or special tweezers“. They did provide cosmetic tweezers. While inquiring about a nearby gorge, we were told that it is closed. Turns out that it was actually open and the one closed was farther away. Parking rates are steep with 25 € per night regardless of using the indoor garage or the outdoor car park behind the hotel. Due to my Discovery Titanium status they granted a late check out at 4 pm, that was highly appreciated. Nevertheless we were disturbed 5 times from noon onwards by various staff members ignoring the do not disturb sign outside our room and asking to enter our room. Overall no big deal, but below expectations and self set standard. Despite these shortcomings this hotel is still a solid recommendation and we will definitely return.

This hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed in & I travel a lot: The location is stunning, the hotel is stunning, the food is stunning & the service is incredible along with the food. Spa & gym are fantastic. If you like beautiful scenery & a relaxing staycation, then this is the place for you. 10 out of 10. We are in on a charity drive all over Europe & this hotel accommodated us and made us all feel so welcome. Five stars & more

Nevertheless we were disturbed 5 times from noon onwards by various staff members ignoring the do not disturb sign outside our room and asking to enter our room. Overall no big deal, but below expectations and self set standard. Despite these shortcomings this hotel is still a solid recommendation and we will definitely return.

Außenpool hätte größer sein können und definitiv kühler. Bei 31grad Außentemperatur war das Wasser sehr sehr warm. Hundefreundliches Hotel, allerdings darf der Hund in viele Bereiche nicht mit.

We stayed at the Kempinski in Berchtesgaden for a few days as part of a larger trip. We regretted not staying longer! A large frustration during travels is picking a hotel. Will the particular hotel live up to the brand reputation as expected? Often, the answer is, unfortunately, no. However, Kempinski never fails to deliver. This location was no different. First, the location is perfect for several different travel types and reasons. If you are visiting for the history in the area, you can't beat the location. If you are visiting just to be surrounded by beautiful nature, you can't beat the location! With miles of great hiking right surrounding the hotel and beautiful views in every direction, Kempinski Berchtesgaden nails it! I would, however, recommend having a car. While not completely necessary (the hotel's restaurant, bar, and spa facilities are great, hiking and nature is nearby, etc.) getting a cab from Berchtesgaden to the hotel and vice versa can be difficult. Having a car opens up the ability to really explore, eat elsewhere, drive through the mountains... I certainly recommend it (we did not rent a car. Again doable, but that was the one thing I would change, other than staying longer). The food was great. We always look forward to Kempinski breakfast's when we stay at the brand, and Berchtesgaden didn't disappoint. While the menu got a bit monotonous after a few days, perhaps that says more about me and what I like than the hotel's offerings. The bar was quiet and pleasant during the evenings, whether sitting by the fire in the lounge or sitting outside and soaking up the views. The spa area was very relaxing, as well. The outdoor pool has an amazing view, the indoor pool perfect during a thunderstorm, and the sauna/steam room/tepidarium is incredibly relaxing. Be sure to schedule time to just enjoy what the hotel has to offer. I could go on, but there is no reason. The hotel was excellent. Service was great. Tania, a Kempinski Lady in Red and gem, was incredibly helpful with things we needed during our stay, as well as great conversation, history of the area, and tips for our time there. The activities Concierge had great suggestions as well. All in all, an excellent stay. We will certainly be back - hopefully during Winter so we can enjoy the fireplace in the room along with the incredible views. Tip - be sure to upgrade the view if you can - the West/Southwest view is the best!! And be sure to listen for the goats down near the golf course - their bells really add to the experience.

I didn't pay for my room myself, so I can't say if it was worth the money, but based on my experience alone, I'm incredibly positive. Beautiful surroundings, great atmosphere, large and clean rooms with good service. The only minus for me was the restaurant PUR which could not manage too many guests. Some dishes, their lamb and their carrot cake (which the waiter could not explain to us at all) were simply poor, but other dishes, the soup for starters for example, were more os a success. The breakfast was great though, so was the drinks bar – great waiters there as well.

We had a lovely 4 days at Kempinski Berchtesgaden in June, and I have to say, this hotel is just perfect. The property is very stylish with a lovely Bayern atmosphere. The staff is extremely kind and helpful. The food was great with huge portions. Our room come with a beautiful view to the mountains which made the whole experience magical. I am a huge dog lover and it was great to see lots of dogs there. It is really a dog friendly hotel. I highly recommend the WWII museum next to the hotel, which was fascinating.

The location of the place is just wonderful. The breakfast is outstanding, it offers anything you could possibly ask for. The outdoor pool offers amazing views over the mountains and the entire scenery
