Stunning property. The breakfast and restaurant were great. The lake is so clean and beautiful, though a little cold!

The room was as advertised, though felt smaller in person. We didn't realize there wasn't air conditioning, so were extremely hot and uncomfortable at night since it was high 80s during our stay.

Beautiful location in the water, immaculately clean everywhere, amazing restaurants (food and service), and sauna and outdoor jacuzzi for relaxation. We loved everything and had a wonderful experience. Oh and the view over Lake Lucern and mountains 😍

There wasn't a single thing that I would change.

Il y avait un mariage qui était organisé dans l'établissement ; aucun possibilité d'accéder à des transats ou des sièges qui sont quasiment inexistants pour cet établissement ; aucun moyen de se reposer à l'extérieur par manque de siège ; vraiment dommage car l'endroit est superbe. La propreté sur la terrasse sous les éléments ne sont pas nickel.

It was a beautiful and quiet location just outside of busy Lucerne. Hotel Vitznauerhof has a luxurious atmosphere without being overly formal or uncomfortable. The lake amenities, kindness of the staff, and breakfast offerings were top notch! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a wonderful stay with a stunning view of Lake Luzern! Louis at the front desk was incredibly helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was a fantastic way to kick off our day.

Wonderful hotel on out favourite lake in Switzerland. The hotel staff made us feel very welcome and looked after us extremely well. The food was excellent and could not be faulted, Dining out looking over the lake was special. The rooms were of a high standard. Clean and comfortable. Nice easy walk to the boat landing stage and the Rigi railway station.

I've been to Vitznauerhof many times and this was my first time staying for a family celebration. Perfect setting and it is a delight to spend the afternoon in the garden and swim in the lake. We had the main meal at Sens, and it was again one of the best meals I have had in this country. Stunning. I take a star off because the room was difficult to air/ ventilate in the heat, and the water pressure in the shower is too low. I realise plenty of men, who probably design such things, have little hair but I have loads, and I can't wash it in such low water pressure. Well, not in under an hour, anyway. And, I understand why it is a 2-night minimum, but this is not a trivial cost. I would have preferred to stay 1 night.

A family get together with something for everyone. Good service and helpful staff at every step. I would recommend staying here this was our second visit the first was in November so now we have experienced two seasons. Great breakfast and lakeside restaurant for midday and evenings both offer good food featuring many local ingredients. The rooms a quiet clean and functional, the fan and shutters are very useful with the hot weather

Our stay at Hotel Vitznauerhof was beyond our expectations. From beginning to end they were welcoming, accommodating and friendly. The entire staff wanted to make our stay a wonderful experience. The hotel is beautiful, clean and spacious. The food was delicious. Our breakfast had a huge variety with so many fresh items. You won't be disappointed!

Die Lounge am See könnte besser ausgestattet und bedient werden für Pre-dinner und Absackergäste. Die Zimmer waren nach dem schönen Design des Hotelinterieurs doch ein bisschen einfaltslos und unterkühlt

From the moment I stepped into the hotel, the service had been exceptional. I had just come from a train journey and somewhere between Milan and Lugano, one of my bags was stolen. So, by the time I made my way to the hotel I was not in the best of moods. That quickly changed thanks to Phillip. He welcomed me to sit down and he came over with a refreshing drink and proceeded to cover all the services of the hotel and the restaurants on property. He also loaned me an adapter (adapters were in the stolen bag) so I could keep my phone and other items charged. The room is spectacular. I would highly recommend spending the extra money for a room with a private terrace or balcony. The views of the lake are worth the extra money. I want to make sure to thank Phillip and the rest of the hotel staff for making my first stay in Switzerland pleasant and memorable.

From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Phillip and Kyra at the reception set the tone immediately, warm, attentive, and full of that rare kind of hospitality that makes you feel like a special guest, not just a booking number. Our balcony view was simply breathtaking. Watching the sunset over Lake Lucerne with the mountains in the background is the kind of moment you don’t forget. What truly sets the Vitznauerhof apart, though, is how thoughtfully every detail has been considered and executed. Nothing feels accidental here, from the room design to the small touches throughout the stay, you sense that real care and intention went into every corner of this place. And what a year to visit! The Vitznauerhof was built in 1901 , making 2026 its 125th anniversary — and the branding celebrating this milestone is absolutely lovely. It honors the hotel’s rich history while feeling fresh and proud. Happy birthday, Vitznauerhof! We already hope to be back soon!

We stayed at your beautiful hotel in April to celebrate a special wedding anniversary. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way especially the staff. The staff without exception were professional, kind and always took the time to deal with any questions we had. Our room was perfect. It had a wonderful view of the lake and we could watch the magnificent sunset from our balcony. We would like to thank specifically Raphael, Philippe, Louis, Madeline and Bruno for their attentive, caring and personal service. They certainly made our stay very special. Thank you all for everything. We will be back and look forward to our return.

Der Service war aussergewöhnlich und sehr persönlich. Das Frühstück war sehr reichlich in einem wunderschönen lichtdurchfluteten Raum. Es war bei dem schönene Wetter und der wunderschönen Lage, dem gepflegten Garten und in weiss und cremefarbig gehaltenen modern/antikem Ambiente mit den riesigen Fenstern, wie in einem Great Gatsby Traum. Das Gebäude selber ist mit den Jugendstilakzenten wunderschön und die NAchmittage waren bei Drinks und Abende am Rand des Wasser unter den wachsamen Augen des Teams von Marco und Celine, Ricardo Lars usw eine unvergessliche Erfahrung

Die Zimmer sind klinisch einfach wie in einem Hospital, einfach sauber zu halten schon, aber doch unpersönlich im Vergleich zu der Rafinesse der Architektur im restlichen Hotel, Wir machen uns Sorgen, dass im Sommer der StandAir Conditioner nicht ausreichen wird, da nur ein relativ kleines Fenster auf den Berg schaut. Bei grossem Andrang ist der Frühstücksraum chaotisch. Kann man kein besseres System entwickeln um Eierspeisenwünsche und Kaffeebestellungen abzufragen?

Great view from the balcony of our room! Property has a western view and we were gifted two amazing sunsets over the lake, one from the secret lakeside sauna. Wonderful spa! and a close walk to the train up to the top of Mt Rigi. Nice restaurant for dinner and amazing breakfast included.

This hotel sits in a gorgeous seat on Lake Luzern, complete with magnificent views, amazing sunset experiences, a secret lakeside private sauna, pretty rooms, and a terrific breakfast. It sits right near the train/funicular that takes one up to the top of Mt Rigi (special hiking and views). Relaxing sitting room and delightful spa. The lakeside restaurant opened just for us on a beautiful warm fall day.

My wife and I spent two nights at Vitznauerhof. October 31 through November 2, 2025. We booked a Romantic Weekend and we could not have been more favorably impressed, without exception, from check-in to check-out. We had an incredible view of the lake, with a balcony. We booked a private whirlpool (1 hour) session and massage (30 min) in the spa. Both were excellent. We had a 4 course dinner that was well presented and cooked. Breakfasts were very good with eggs, bacon, pancakes and related all made to order. While the whole team was pleasant, helpful and friendly. I want to mention in particular, Eva at Reception had that friendly natural personality that cannot be taught, as well as a wonderful smile that was as real as she is. A big thanks to her and the rest of the team. Finally, if i force myself to find something that was not to our liking, I would have to say that we were unable to adjust the temperature in the room, as the temperature control was locked. That should be adjustable. (They did adjust it when we asked them). Secondly, while the internet is highspeed and fine, the fact that the TV was not connected to the internet, prevented screen sharing. This should be connected and open in my opinion. For sure. We will be back.

We liked the spa very much. Breakfast was also very good. Staff were very friendly and professional.

Unfortunately there was a rave party organized in the hotel, and we were not told. But the receptionist helped us and upgraded our room.

Jeder Kontakt mit dem Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Überall wurde man mit einem Lächeln empfangen. Der Service war speditiv und sehr aufmerksam, auch beim Frühstück-speziellen Dank an das Team, ihr seid super!

Das Nachtessen war sehr gut, die Karte/ Auswahl interessant und mit Kombinationsmöglichkeiten insbesondere auch für Vegetarierinnen aber insgesamt preislich nach unserer Meinung vielleicht etwas überteuert.

Nichts hat mir nicht gefallen!

Kamer met zicht over en ligging aan de oever van Lac Luzerne. Verder, ontbijten waren voortreffelijk Het hotel ligt vrijwel naast de vertrekpunten voor en de trein naar Rigi kulm ( berg met leuke wandelingen ) en de Luzerne "pendelboten". Met andere woorden, laat je auto rustig staan maar, denk erom, parking wordt ook niet gratis !!

Iedereen weet dat Zwitserland alles behalve goedkoop is maar de wijnkaart in de restaurant had niets onder ~70 francs per fles.( Dat gezegd, in een andere restaurant hebben ze 12 franc voor een karafje kraanwater berekend ... Natuurlijk kom je tot adem bij de supermarktje. )

This is a beautiful place to stay. The view of the lake, the beautiful garden and the super friendly staff are just three reasons to stay here but there are more. It was an all around wonderful experience that I would love to repeat

We stayed for two nights but left after only one night. It was terrible. The hotel is very, very, very old. The smell in all the hotel is so bad that you can’t breathe. Breakfast is a scandal we quickly run out to eat outside. I just don’t understand, if you have such a great location why not invest in your property?

Très bel hôtel 1900 restauré et modernisé sans perdre son charme. Emplacement idéal dans un très beau parc au bord de l’eau avec son port privé. Le personnel est très à l’écoute des clients et fait tout pour les satisfaire.

Les bornes d’entrée et de sortie du parking très mal placées. La présentation du menu non conventionnel. La note de 13 au Gault et Millau surfaite. Le prix des chambres est exagéré pour une chambre double sans vue sur le lac et sans balcon.

Tolle Lage am See! Sehr freundliches Personal. Mit CHF 10 pro Tag sehr faire Parkkosten.

Das Hotel ist insgesamt ein wenig in die Jahr gekommen. Aber die Bäder sind neu und alles ist sehr sauber. Kein Safe im Zimmer.
