Excellent place to stay before getting the ferry, near to the seafront and plenty of restaurants near by. All staff were really welcoming, cheerful and super helpful.

It is in the perfect location in the centre of Florence, but it was still quiet enough to sleep at night. The room was clean and spacious with a comfy bed and a lovely big shower enclosure. The air-conditioning was a huge relief in 30 degree heat. The breakfast was typically Italian - coffee, pastries and fruit. Cereal was also available and the hosts made a special effort to provide me with soya milk, as I am lactose intolerant. They were very friendly and welcoming, helped with our bags. The hosts kindly allowed us to leave our luggage in the reception area after we had checked out on our last day, so we could explore Florence without carting bags everywhere. When we returned, they organised a taxi to take us to the train station.

The only concern for some people may be the stairs - there are 4 short flights. As a reasonably fit 60 year old, I managed fine though. (The host also kindly took my suitcase up for me).

The heatwave made the stay uncomfortable. We are from the USA so probably more sensitive to the heat than the locals. I would have appreciated another fan for the room during the heatwave. I did not ask so my mistake.

The courtyard dining is very pleasant in the sunshine. The location is ideal for access to the promenade or to the Kings theater. The bed was comfortable and the room and en-suite were clean. The male attendant and the young waitress at breakfast were very pleasant and accommodating.

No information sent regarding the pre-booked gated parking so we arrived at reception not knowing where to go. Receptionist seemed bored and un-engaged on both days. Front-of-house maître d' was head-down and didn't make eye contact the entire time, not even when telling us to vacate the breakfast table as it was reserved for a non-resident booking. The room ensuite was small with very little storage space. The TV was basic and had no smart functions. Paltry amount of milk provided in sachets for tea and coffee. Overall with the service level and facilities not worthy of the 'boutique' moniker and not worth the hefty price tag (£184.50) for a single night B&B stay.

Loved the quietness of the property and closeness to D-Day museum and the beach front.

Staff were good at check in and dinner/ breakfast service but when we went to check out girl didn’t ask a us anything about our stay or where we were going. This one ack by the checkout receptionist soured our stay.

Really everything satisfactory ; the tv could have been better- wasn’t working properly although that was not a major problem on this stay hence I didn’t mention it.

It’s not easy to find a parking space in the local streets, but it was the May BH weekend!

Sehr gutes Frühstück: man konnte z.B. verschiedene Kaffeesorten bestellen, sich Eier nach Wahl zubereiten lassen, sich aus der Frühstückskarte spezielle Frühstücksteller vorbereiten lassen sowie sich am Buffet bedienen! Sehr gutes Restaurant und schöne Bar! Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren rundum zufrieden! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

The staff is great and very helpful. The breakfast was really good; we could order cooked options from a menu, and the food was nicely prepared. The room is nice but needs a bit of love, everything felt a bit old and could use an update.

The bathtub had hair in it, so we didn't use it. I also got a bit of an allergy after checking into the room. I guess that the curtains and carpet could use a good deep clean.

Lovely hotel and great location, about 5 minutes from the beach. Room was immaculate, staff and service were excellent. Ate in the hotel restaurant, food was really good.

Clean nicely decorated boutique hotel. Friendly staff and accommodating when I wanted to change rooms due to husbands recent diagnosis and the stairs proved to much for him.

The toast was slightly wafted past the toaster; still too ‘bready’ but the breakfast was great otherwise.

Restaurant lacked atmosphere, parking pretty basic just off street.

Minor things but room should have facial tissue. Breakfast only includes one slice of toast which seems a bit odd. Carpets need refresh.

It was very clean, comfortable and facilities met our requirements. It was located in a really nice quiet area with a great restaurant attached and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Sängen var okej och även ljudnivån från gatan. Personalen var också väldigt hjälpsam. Men bäst var läget, bara några hundra meter ner till havet.

Typisk engelsk frukost så kan väl egentligen inte klaga på den. Men jag hade fördragit en buffé där man kunde välja själv. Rummet levde inte upp till förväntningarna, mattan på golvet kändes väldigt ofräsch.

The hotel was very clean and the bed comfortable. There was bookable parking. It’s easy to get an uber into town. It’s a 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 mins to the pier. The breakfast was superb and the staff were so helpful and friendly. It was excellent value for money

Location great, staff very friendly and helpful. Facilities good with nice outside dining area open for breakfast too. I was glad I had booked the reserved parking as parking in the immediate area was very busy indeed.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet area which we appreciated. Parking and check in was smooth and easy. Food was superb,and the service was excellent.

The pillows were rather uncomfortable for my taste,my husband was ok with them.

L'hôtel est charmant et décoré avec goût; nous avions une chambre de bonne taille avec une salle de bain comprenant une douche et une baignoire. Le restaurant et le jardin dans lequel nous prenions le petit déjeuner étaient très agréables. Nous avons apprécié de pouvoir dîner au restaurant de l'hôtel malgré une arrivée à une heure "tardive" pour l'Angleterre (20 h 30 !). La situation géographique est idéale : dans le quartier Southsea, à proximité de la plage, du Pier et de la promenade qui permet de rejoindre le centre ville. Quartier calme et agréable. Compter une quinzaine de minutes en voiture pour rejoindre la zone de ferries.

Les rangements dans la chambre n'étaient pas très pratiques (heureusement que nous n'y étions que pour un court séjour). Pas d'étagère non plus pour poser les affaires dans la salle de bain. Il n'y a pas de buffet de petit déjeuner et il n'est pas possible d'avoir un 2ème verre de jus de fruit, par exemple. Le personnel dans l'ensemble était plutôt sympathique mais pas très arrangeant (nous avons demandé à pouvoir garder la place de parking jusqu'à 13 heures et on nous a répondu que les clients suivants arrivaient à midi. Or le check-in se fait à partir de 15 heures et il était peu probable que des clients arrivent avant cela). De même à l'arrivée à l'hôtel nous avons demandé de l'aide pour monter les bagages jusqu'à la chambre mais nous avons dû nous débrouiller (on nous a proposé à la place une chambre au rez de chaussée pour ne pas avoir à prendre l'escalier, ce que nous avons refusé).

Cute, boutique hotel. Very clean. Restaurant onsite was convenient and food was delicious. Location was tucked back from the main road and walkable to multiple museums, restaurants and other local areas of interest.

good staff/ homely feel

room was a little bit dark, windows faced to a dark alleyway, very little light entering room.

Room was not your bog standard decor but was unique, bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with an excrllet shower. The staff were polite and would acknowledge you even if you were just passing. Kim who was on reception when we arrived was a standard bearer for the hotel group, she was very welcoming and went above and beyond when we required some direction assistance.

Hotel is conveniently located in Southsea and very close to the beach. We stayed overnight for a party nearby and were very happy with everything. There was parking available and the garden restaurant was very nice and had excellent food. Breakfast was very good.

Nothing really! It was a really good hotel. I would have liked a sourdough option for toast with my breakfast, but that is being REALLY picky!! ;-)

Beautiful and quiet room. Good location close to the beach, nice breakfast. Hotel provides a card for free parking in the neighbourhood. There is also a popular restaurant in the hotel. I would definitely recommend it.
