Beautiful gardens and well located if you have a car, clean and spacious room.

Phone did not work in the room, grounds are not surveilled for noise. A group were gathered below our window well past midnight, very noisy and had to call them up since we could not reached reception. got a $20 dollar discount t for our troubles, not enough for the lack of sleep.

Overall it was a good experience. Location was ideal for the purpose of my visit. Had to do a bit of walking at times as we had to traverse between the hotel and Quéens main campus to facilitate my daughter's entry

Beautiful area, grounds kept fairly well. Breakfast was done quite well.

Front desk (male staff), a little rough around the edges and not open to accommodate requests (given months in advance). Overheard other guests checking out ahead of me that had some negative feedback about cleanliness…he was quite dismissive and didn’t really try anything other than a feeble apology and “I’ll let housekeeping know”.

The Hotel was great and spotless. Love the history and character. The staff was awesome, no issues whatsoever and the breakfast was great! Value for room and breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend.

The bathrooms are a little dated. The updated door made it better, but still a little dated. Check in was long as it was busy and the staff was doing all he could do and was super friendly and working as fast as he could. But he could have used a little help in the moment.

I particularly did not like the breakfast finishing at 9 AM weekdays. I travel a lot and I’ve never experienced such an early shutdown. I checked all other hotels in Kingston and 9:30 AM is the earliest anyone else shuts down and 10 AM is quite normal. It’s nice not to have to rush in the mornings when you’re not going to work!

Rooms were really good, the whole place is really clean and felt comfortable, gonna say that the breakfast was one of the best, nice place to stay , convenient for the on off trolly to run back and forth to town, Will definitely stay again.

El desayuno buffet muy bueno, además estaba incluido en el precio. Las camas muy comodas, aunque el baño un poco viejo. El parking al aire libre en el establecimiento y era gratis.

The property was charming and clean with a lovely courtyard. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection of hot and cold options.

Everything was very clean. The room was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good.

The bathroom was very clean, but dated. The faucet leaked whenever we turned it on. The water pressure was very low. The linen storage room was across the hall from us. Most of the time there was a huge pile of dirty linen in the hall right outside our door, and there was a mattress pooped up there the whole time. Quite unseemly!

Needs a few more touches to the rooms to up their game. Plus the doors “slam” shut all night long with guests co I g back after. I’d ight. Some kind of slow closer would help.

The facilities, staff, breakfast, grounds, and room were all lovely. Everything was clean, and the view of the courtyard was a bonus. Great location away from the main downtown, but walkable to the prison and harbour.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer für drei Personen bestellt, zwei Betten waren nur bezogen. Auf Anfrage danach wurde es vergessen, wir sollten es selbst beziehen. Das Frühstück war vom Angebot mäßig, ab 9:00 gab es nichts mehr

Breakfast was wonderful with great service. The location is within walking distance of waterfront and downtown. Rooms were very comfortable and fresh. And quiet.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war klasse. Die Auswahl sehr gut und alles appetitlich angerichtet. Es gab auch kleingeschnittenes Obst, nicht nur Äpfel und Bananen. Kostenloses Parken war möglich. Der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption hat alles versucht, um uns bei unserer Reklamation zu helfen - nochmals herzlichen Dank.

Im ersten Zimmer wies die Matratze an der Unterseite der Schlafcouch Schimmelflecken auf. Da das Hotel ausgebucht war bekamen wir ein kleines Zimmer im anderen Flügel. Dort wurde ein Reisebett ins Zimmer „gequetscht“ - wir waren 3 Erwachsene. Zum Glück mussten wir nur 2 Koffer auf‘s Zimmer nehmen; es war sehr eng. Die Lüftung des Bades war sehr laut. Sie konnte nicht ausgeschaltet werden, da sie alle Zimmer auf dem Stockwerk belüftet. Barfuß im Bad konnten wir das Vibrieren der Lüftung am Boden spüren. Mit Schlaftabletten haben wir dann doch einigermaßen geschlafen.

The hotel itself was clean and classic

#1: The hotel seemed to overlook that Monday was a civic holiday and operated the breakfast service using its regular weekday schedule. As a result, there was complete chaos, with guests lining up outside the breakfast area. Staff were even offering to prepare breakfast plates for people in the lobby. After several guests, including myself, complained, they finally opened the adjacent breakfast area. Why it wasn’t open from the beginning is a mystery. #2: The room entrance doors did not have a soft-close mechanism. Every time someone closed their door, it slammed loudly and echoed throughout the hallway. Because of the constant banging, I couldn’t sleep after 6:00 a.m. #3: There were several coffee and tea stations in the lobby, but none of them were operating. It seemed they were only being kept for large company events, which was disappointing for regular hotel guests.

Convenient for my schedule. Clean and comfortable room.

The elevator did not work properly causing me to be stuck in there twice! I had to use the emergency phone to get help and was told to wait 30 minutes because staff was not available to help. Eventually the elevator opened up 10 minutes later and when I walked down to tell the staff there was nobody at the front desk. I was late for a meeting so I left. I realize this is an isolated incident, but the level of staff service in this matter was unacceptable. For the remainder of my stay I only used the stairs.

J'ai adoré avoir des fruits frais au déjeuner (melon d'eau, cerise, melon miel et ananas), car l'a sélection sont des fruits rarement retrouvé dans les hôtels. Le déjeuner était juste excellent. La chambre était propre et spacieuse. Il est certain que si je reviens à Kingston, j'y retournerai sans aucun problème.

We were only informed at check-in that the water would be shut off from 9:00 a.m. the following day. Shortly after we arrived, all of the elevators stopped working, and the hair dryer in our room was also not functioning. It appeared that the property was undergoing inspections and maintenance during our stay. In my view, if these disruptions were expected, the hotel should not have accepted bookings during that period. Given that it was convocation season, it would have been more considerate to schedule routine inspections and maintenance for a less busy time to minimize the impact on guests.

Our room this time backed on to the back neighbours, a side of a house! All of our rooms in the past had not a bad view!!

Breakfast was lovely. Staff in dining room were very nice. Overall the place was quiet. Room was a good size and very comfortable.

The environment is beautiful

Wanted an early check in but was unable to get that. So I had to go to my program straight from the train station, having to change in a public bathroom and keep my luggage by me all day. To come back and check in just for the night.

It is a great unique property with good potential, but the beds were not comfortable and the hotel was not within walking g distance to anything really.

Our section smelled very musty/old and the utility door to the ac unit opened to a very dusty, blac mold looking area that had long since been forgotten.

Attractive setting close to the Isabel Bader Arts Centre a 10 minute walk. Great staff, fantastic breakfast and very comfortable room. The Conference Centre itself has many interesting features throughout.

Polite, warm and friendly staff, though not consistently helpful.

Humid, moldy smell room, no fan in bathroom. Light bulb missing. No dehumidifier available. Next morning: Blow drying not working, waited for the requested replacement only to learn later that none were coming. No solution offered but they acquiesced my request to access another (much nicer) room where wall blow dryer was working. Included breakfast was hit and miss; old, dry pastries that should not have been served.

It was quite quiet, housekeeping, dining room, and front desk staff were all lovely to deal with. It was a very comfy room, a more effective AC unit would've been nice, but overall no complaints. And the breakfast was indeed excellent!

I had a very disappointing croissant at breakfast one of the days - fresher pastries would be appreciated, but that's my only complaint!

Clean and spacious but not much to do

Breakfast was pretty basic and tasteless. No vegetables, no cheese, so we had to ask for some. It took them 15 minutes and brought the cooked. Together!
