Botany Beach Resort Pattaya

Well, it was all going so well. Check in was good, the room was spacious and facilities good, the AC a little old but it did it's thing, if only it didn't turn off when you exit the room. But a minor issue. The pool and beech area look lovely, and it was all going so well until breakfast. Chaotic, not enough seating, food limited and constantly ran out. And sadly after a awkward check out while I'm made to wait .. for reasons, I fell ill on the way out, the breakfast ! Sure, I may have just been very unfortunate, but 2 hours of stomach cramps wasn't what I'd really ordered. Sorry guys, you've a lovely place there, but you really need to get on top of the breakfast.

Det var en trevlig resort, flera pooler, nära till stranden som tillhör resorten. Helt ok frukost. Det ligger lite utanför allt så här behöver man ha bil eller ta taxi för att komna till stan.

a wonder Family Hotel just the price is a bit high €35 would be more than adequate ... have been in this Hotel 4 Times was one of the first in the hotel when opened, the price then was €6 12DM booked with Meier's Weltreisen , how the get a price of €/( I dont know ... next door in the Yacht club have the same price ...

Hi guys! I spent the best vacation here in November, 2017. It's really fantastic place. The wonderful palm trees in line beachside. The service was quite slow, but it wasn't problem, because it's normal state for all Asia countries. The hotel territory is amazing, a lot of trees, grass and a little pools with exotic fish. For example we can see the pool with white сarps near the hotel reception. You can swim all night in the main pool. If you have children the animators team will be play all days with them. But if you are a party animal you should choosen other hotel. This is a silent family hotel for romantic and relaxible vacation.

There is no servuce mind staff. The room is dark and bad. Hight price not recommended

Private, quiet place, good for relaxation... But need to improve the room A/C, its old and a bit noisy during the night, bathroom is clean but some smell from the drain... TV is still the old style.

Hotel room is quite old however the location is good, right next to the beach. A pretty big Swimming pool plus a nice breakfast in the morning. All in all, worth going for this.

The hotel doesn't have any designated smoking area, so people can smoke anywhere (room, restaurant, lobby, swimming pool). We had to move our kids away when someone was smoking at the pool. Their buffet breakfast was good. Hotel location is OK, next to the beach. But there was nothing near by in a walking distance. The staffs were friendly and professional. Room was not so clean and wall was very thin that you could hear the one next door.

We ate at the Botany cafe and swam in their glorious pool. What a wonderful palm tree lined beachside location, with food that was really tasty although the service was quite slow. We can recommend the Pad Thai and the Thai green curry chicken.

The worse service in my life!! Such rude and impolite housekeeping ! On second day of our stay, after cleaning up my room I found bloody spots all over my supposedly "fresh" bed linen. In return- I have received NO apologies whatsoever, was given just new linen. The story with dirty bed sheets happened after that again ! And during our stay housekeeping were keep forgetting to put any towels, so I had to go and get it myself from them. Definitely worse experience in my life, although we are traveling to Thailand every other year. I would never return to this place and will never recommend it to anyone. The only good feedback worth is the beach - close and clean

I stayed there with my girlfriend for 2 nights to participate in a running event. After the event, we decided to spend the days in the surrounding areas, visiting a few locations so suffice to say, we weren't in our room most of the time, only really to sleep, so our "requirements" I think, was pretty minimal. There were 2 things which were notable: 1) The door lock is the common round "push to lock" knob you see in people's homes in Thailand. The kind you have to push the button on the inside of the room before you leave and close the door so it is locked. If you forget to do this and just close the door, it doesn't lock. All this is fine and good as both my girlfriend and I are pretty aware and always check that the door is locked before we head out. The problem is that we stayed here for 3 days 2 nights and on both days where the maid came to clean the room, he/she left the room UNLOCKED! The first time, it happened, we didn't think much of it as we weren't sure if it was just us "forgetting to lock" it - basically we gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt. Both of us were aware though, that as I turned the key, there was no "click" associated with the door unlocking. The 2nd time, we were very AWARE and yes, the door just opened.........without the key. For a hotel to rely on this sort of mechanism to protect guests and their properties, you need to MAKE SURE YOUR STAFF lock the doors.. 2) Paper-thin walls. We could hear the TV from the next room.

In your latest review of Sattahip you rated Botany Beach Resort as one of the top 3 hotels in Sattahip (Jomtien/Pattaya). It is anything but this. It's a very overpriced, run down and dated hotel. The only thing it has going for it is the proximity to the Ocean Marina (which is why I have stayed there in the past). Otherwise, it is miles from anywhere, and poorly serviced with an expensive hotel shuttle service. The gardens and pool are nice but the rooms are very dated with noisy air conditioners, old style televisions with poor reception, spotty wifi, frayed towels and hard beds. The breakfast is OK but the dining room for dinner is terrible - awful food and even worse service. There are many better options.

Upon arrival it looked to be the typical Thai resort, we requested the pool bungalows and got the exact ones we chose. From then on nothing good to say. Asked for cocktail in the dining prior to dinner the response was we don't have it changed the order and got -don't know how to make it, ended with a coke and a singha.So much for the cocktail list.We assumed that the rest of the resort had gone out for some function as we were the only ones in the restaurant.Nope it had to do with the poor quality of the food.No one ate there for the 5 days we were there.Service in the restaurant revolved around the TV-all in Thai- when something interested the staff,3 young girls, service stopped. This carried over to breakfast, which wasn't too bad,if you didn't mind walking around all the stationary staff watching the TV.Can't say the cleaning staff weren't keen,they would be sitting on your front deck waiting for you to wake up and I might add not quietly.We had a daily challenge with the cleaning staff,first day we only got a doona no sheet -in Thailand?Next morning a sheet no doona, then back to a doona, when we asked for a sheet we were told this would attract an additional charge????Every member of the staff must have just received a smart phone each because they all had their faces firmly planted in them at all times except when watching mandatory TV.We were under the impression that the shuttle to Pattaya went via Jomtien Beach ,not so. 300thb will get you a taxi.We asked for one and were told there would be a fee of 40thb for the call,next door at the Ravindra Beach Resort it is free even though we weren't guests. Should look at there phone plan.All in all would not recommend this to anyone.

if you like being in a hotel with russians and get russian food then you may consider going there. In fact we almost had a fight there as the russian guests around the pool did not like kids having fun. the rooms are just ok but you will notice that the bathrooms roof is not closed on the sides inviting mosquitos in and you will get them. breakfast is rather terrible and the staff is not waht you are used to seeing in THailand. I believe they had to get use to the russian friendliness and lost as such their own friendliness . We will not go back

Very nice grounds and gardens. Nice pools. But little things made a big difference in the comfort and pleasure of our stay. The TV in our villa was an old 23" with bad reception and the TV remote didn't work from the bed. You had to get up and walk half way to the TV to change the channel. There was no place in the bathroom to hang towels are wet clothes. And the AC had no temperature adjustment. You could only adjust the fan speed. We ended up being hot or cold but never comfortable. And the breakfast buffet was not good at all. The property has potential but these little things made a big difference. I won't go back.

I'd recommend this place only if you need to stay near the Ocean Marina, or you want to enjoy the beach and nothing else in a relatively quiet setting - but in the latter case why go to Pattaya at all? Reaching anything else will take a fairly long ride on tuktuk. Very few eating places in the walking distance. About one and a half hours to get to the nearest airport, and up to two and a half to DMK. Yet if all you want is to crash after a day on the water and have some good rest it serves the purpose. The price looks reasonable. WiFi is free, but a bit shaky. Must be a fairly family safe place, but hardly anything to entertain the kids.
