Ban Nam Mao Resort

The pool and gardens are wonderful, very well maintained. The staff was helpful and friendly. The beds were comfortable and I slept extremely well. The balcony was spacious and overlooked the pool and garden: lovely view!! Although the place is older than the modern towers on the beach, it is extremely clean. I am thinking of going back for Songkran. You will need to walk to the beach or take a scooter there, but you might just decide to stay by the pool which is what I did

A lot of loud German people who get up at the crack of dawn to "reserve" their sunbeds by the pool (soooo typical). The same German tourists smoked in the dining area and I got to enjoy their cigarette smoke while eating breakfast. .

Heel mooi resort, met heerlijk zwembad. Kamers meteen aan het zwembad. Heel rustig gelegen! Vriendelijk personeel (wel Google Translate nodig)

Ontbijt is heel basic, keuze uit drie eiergerechten en toast met jam, dagelijks watermeloen. Bedden waren vrij hard.

I enjoyed my stay here and extended it for 2 more days.The staff were charming and friendly. It's not a new hotel, it's basic but that's reflected in the price. The swimming pool is fantastic. It's in a quiet location but within 5 mins walk you have the beach and numerous bars / restaurants, 711 etc. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

The restaurant doesn't open now in the evening The breakfast was not varied for choice No kettle in the room so I couldn't get a cup of tea once the restaurant was closed.

Sehr angenehme Anlage mit einem charmanten Styl, alles sauber das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ja die Anlage ist ein paar Tage älter aber wie schon erwähnt alles sauber und funktional. Ruhige Lage außerhalb vom Trubel für uns ideal durch die Nähe zur Amara Watersport Station. Sehr angenehm ist auch der große Pool zum schwimmen;-) !!!

Hotel jest naprawdę spokojny, bardzo mały, ale ma duzy basen, pełno zieleni, palmy, sniadania w cenie, naprawdę na wielki plus. Pokoje ładne, co jedynie łazienki nadają się do remontu, ale za tą cenę nie ma co narzekać, ogólnie wszystjo na duzy plus :)

Nie podobały mi się psy biegające po hotelu w nocy, które były lekko agresywne, a ja się boję psów. I to było bardzo nie komfortowe dla mnie. I myślę że musi to się zmienić bo to nie są tylko moje odczucia, i mam nadzieję że właściciele będą zamykali psy na noc, albo będą je osobiście pilnowali.

Good location, close to the beach.

Such a hidden gem. Was beautiful and quiet. Great pool, which for 15 days mainly had to myself. Beautiful gardens and nice sun beds right outside my front door . Breakfast was simple but enjoyable. Can buy a few bits there and ice cream. Very nice menu and good food and reasonably priced.

Nothing really. Property in quite area but walkable shops, restaurants and beach with restaurants on. My partner was a little nervous walking back in the dark, as there are quite a few dogs around, barking at night but had no trouble from any dogs are selfs.

Der Pool ist ein Traum /eine Oase in Thailand . Das ganze Personal ist gut. Sehr Pflichtbewusst..,jung und nett.

Leider liegt es etwas abgelegen,am 17.49 Uhr ging die Sonne unter.es wird sofort dunkel. Ich kam zu Fuss zum Hotel…dort treiben sich 3-4 Strassen- Hunde umher. Das Rudel kam kläffend auf mich zu gerannt…Ich rede von Hunden / wo Wild sind! Keine Befehle befolgen,2-3meter vor mir hält der Rudel -/-führer an; ….ich rechnete mit dem schlimmsten ! Ich habe 30 Jahren Erfahrung, mit hunden,aber die waren alle trainiert. Die Hunde sind kniehoch und etwa 20kg. Auch habe beim Frühstück unterem tisch ständig Hunde Streit wahrgenommen…! Am Tag laufen die in der Anlage umher,keine Ahnung wem die gehören? Das ist das einzige,negative.

Spacious and clean room. Lovely pool. Comfortable beds, hot shower and good aircon. Quiet place to stay. Rooms overlook the pool and gardens. Simple breakfast (eggs, toast, cornflakes, instant coffee, watermelon). Short walk to the beach and to massage shops, cafes, restaurant etc, which are in the next street over.

The resort is a bit run down outside but the pool and rooms are nice. The road the hotel is on is very empty, it might concern some people walking back at night, particularly with soi dogs roaming the streets. No room safe. (There are safety boxes at reception) No kettle in room.

Great location with convenient parking, and several seafood restaurants nearby. The area has many massage shops. The place is very quiet, and the swimming pool is excellent.

There are packs of stray dogs in the narrow streets nearby.

Vi var där lågsäsong så en del saker var vilande ...typ restaurang..baren i poolen ..ett vattenfall...Men dom fixade i alla fall en mkt God frukost..!!! ..Ett underbart

The room deserve some renovation. The boss is really not friendly. After checked out she asked my friend to leave to pool immediately on a rude way. We were just waiting for the taxi. Unacceptable After 5 days without any issue.

We liked the pool and the garden. Quiet,relaxing, clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.Beds are hard, but we found they were in fact comfortable to sleep on and I had a great sleep, considering we normally prefer to sleep on softer beds. Breakfast is basic, but quite enough- cooked breakfast or muesli. There's a choice of fried, scrambled eggs or sn omelet. Served eith bacon , sausage and luncheon. Also, a small selection of fruit and toasts is available as well.

We would've liked the cafe to be opened at dinner time, instead of always having to be going out for dinner. The kitchen was operating till 5pm latest. Possibly consider coffee and tea making facilities available in the room, since it's only an instant sachet coffee available at the resort.

breakfast is only white bread, we would like to have a choice of brown bread. poor quality of sausage and ham. I can tell from the color of the sausage. no soup so salad only set of 1 choice.

The rooms and bathrooms were fine but a bit tired.

Friendly staff, big swimming pool, good parking, ok breakfast.

I slept very poorly because the curtains let light through and the other side had a glass tile window with no curtain. The aircon was noisy, and noisy pack of dogs were fighting at night on the property. There was a thin quilt with a blanket mess instead of a proper duvet with a duvet cover.

Dogs! A lot of it at the lobby. They are friendly though.

Quiet location with very friendly staff. Very clean with a very nice pool and loads of seating area. Food was excellent. Also a nearby (700m) Thai restaurant with great food in the evening. I will be back.

When I was choosing a hotel, the price of this one was so low that I was worried something would be wrong with it. Nothing was wrong, it was exactly what I had hoped for - a quiet, tranquil place to relax. There is a beautiful garden and huge swimming pool where you will want to spend time, and not many people around. Yes, it's old, but everything works fine, and there's plenty of space, I much prefer the vibe compared to a modern slick hotel where everything is crammed into tiny spaces (and costs at least 3x as much as this!). Staff very friendly. 5 minute walk from the beach (and kite surfing club), and only 300m from the main road into town, but you don't hear any hint of the traffic. I'll be back!

The breakfast was not for me (just white slab bread/toast and cornflakes, as far as I saw) - but what do you expect for the price? No complaints from my side.

The resort grounds is beautiful it need a little up keep. The pool was big, rooms where clean.love that there was dogs on the property. To much meat on breakfast menu. What I loved about it made me feel like I was in Thailand, it wasn’t westernized.
