All staff were great in individual roles. Reception, concierge, restaurant, beach club, housekeeping. We asked for 1 bedroom clean in the morning and fresh water in the afternoon. Everyday done. Food fantastic in the hotel at fair prices.

Gym equipment needs a facelift. Common with many hotels though so not unique to here.

Food and beach was amazing! Staff was incredible friendly and accomodating. The Standing Stones felt very powerful and was a unique touch for the grounds. Highly Recommend!!

We enjoyed every moment of our 8 night stay, the staff were so accomodating, and I particularly loved the complementary daily yoga, and the included breakfast was exceptional. They also had live acoustic music in the evenings during dinner service which was lovely. All my spa treatments were also delightful. Couldn’t recommend this place more ❤️

The only negative was that sometimes the mini fridge in our room was quite noisy but barely noticed it after a night or so.

立地：空港から渋滞を加味して1時間ちょっとかかる、南東部の海岸に位置します。周辺はのどかな農村であり、夜中に騒ぐ若者や騒がしいレストランもない、静かな場所だったのが良かったです。また、テガラランやゴアガジャまではウブド中心部を避けて行くことができて時間を短縮できるほか、スマラプラ（クルンクン）など東部の観光地にアクセスしやすいです。 施設：Presidential Sunriseのヴィラでした。リビングダイニングのある母屋と、寝室が5室（うち2室は接続）で、トイレとシャワーは各部屋にありますがバスタブは主寝室のみです。全面オーシャンビューのプールは壮観でした。このタイプのヴィラによくある屋根が開いたセミオープン式ではなく、母屋と各寝室はちゃんと閉じた建物でエアコン（ダイキン）が調節しやすかったのが特に良いです。トイレとシャワーの区画のみセミオープンです。虫は意外にもほとんど見かけませんでした。 食事：周辺に食べに行けないことは何ら問題ではないほど、ここの食事は美味しいです。特にNasi Campurは絶品でした。モクテルなどのノンアルコールメニューもきちんとあり、西洋料理ももちろん美味しかったです。 スタッフ：みんな協力的で笑顔で、気さくに話しかけてくれます。こちらのオーダーには速やかに応じてくれましたし、レストランでもきめ細かな対応をしてもらえました。 本当に素晴らしい時間を過ごすことができました！感謝でいっぱいです。

施設：とても小さな問題ですが、扉の建付けなどは少し悪い部分もあります。ただ、それはヴィラタイプの建物にはよくあることです。プールは1.9メートルとかなり深く、そこが最も大きな欠点でした。本気で泳ぎに来ているわけではないので、この深さでは気軽に楽しめませんでした。また、私には気になりませんが、8月は波が高い時期ということもあり、かなりの高さの荒波が目の前のビーチに打ち寄せていました。その波の音は台風のときのようで、常に重く低い波の音が響き続けることから、環境音にも繊細な場合は静かな場所とは感じないかもしれません。 スパ：正午ですでにその日の予約がいっぱいになっており、利用できませんでした。フェイシャルトリートメントの30分が最も短いメニューであり、基本的には60分以上のものばかりというのも、回転が悪く拘束時間も長いので利用しづらかったです。せめてフットマッサージで30分のコースがあれば、といった感じです。

I absolutely loved my stay at The Royal Purnama. The resort is beautiful, peaceful and feels very private, which was exactly what I needed. My villa was stunning, the gardens were immaculate and the beachfront setting made the whole place feel really special. I had breakfast and room service during my stay and both were excellent. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, and the entire resort felt calm without ever being crowded. I honestly didn’t want to leave and would happily come back again.

We had a fantastic 4 night stay here during our honeymoon. The rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious with the most stunning bathroom - we loved the shower! Every aspect of the hotel is beautifully designed and enjoyable to look at, from the colourful Indonesian doors to the jungle shaded walkways and the standing stones around the pool. The service is excellent and very friendly! Complimentary rooftop yoga overlooking the waves is a wonderful way to start the day- however the mats really need replacing as they are quite dirty and disintegrating! The drinks are delicious, with the best mocktails I’ve ever had (I still dream about the fresh strawberry & basil slush!) and the food is also wonderful, creative, colourful and tasty - try the watermelon tartare!! Breakfast could be improved by providing a vegetarian/vegan menu - this already exists for the evening menu! The ambience is very chilled out and never felt particularly busy. We loved our stay.

Recently stayed here with my partner . Hotel was lovely and clean with great onsite facilities. Staff welcoming and accommodating. My only criticism is that this is advertised as an adult only hotel .( one of the main reasons for our booking) However during our stay we see multiple families come through sometimes with children younger than five . This sometimes ruined the relaxing experience by the pool as kids were shouting and screaming . I believe the hotel should change their advertising to family friendly as advertising as adult only is false .

Our stay at The Royal Purnama was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, every member of staff was incredibly friendly, kind, welcoming and genuinely helpful. They went above and beyond to make our honeymoon feel extra special, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The hotel itself is the perfect place for anyone looking for romance and tranquillity. The peaceful atmosphere makes it easy to relax and unwind, away from the crowds, while still being within around 45 minutes of Ubud. The extra drive is absolutely worth it for the privacy, stunning surroundings and overall experience. We left with wonderful memories and cannot thank the team enough for making our honeymoon so special. I would highly recommend The Royal Purnama to any couple looking for a luxurious, romantic and peaceful escape in Bali.

Experiencia espectacular, con sensación de lujo a medida. El personal recuerda tu nombre, número de habitación y sabe si tienes alguna preferencia especial (alergias o intolerancias alimenticias). Las villas y el entorno es totalmente privado y el tamaño de las mismas y de la piscina interior es increíble. Decoración con mucho gusto y cuidan al detalle cada estancia del lugar. Everything was wonderful and nothing could be faulted at the resort. There was a very noisy (external) music event very close by which did disrupt our stay. It would be a good idea to check the date of the event next year because it was deafening and lasted for many hours.

Neben der schönen Anlage, war auch die Villa inkl Pool sehr ansprechend. Das komplette Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Frühstück und Essen auch wenn in geringer Auswahl, kann man rundum empfehlen.

Villa könnte vom Schnitt besser sein. Eine Küche finde ich nicht notwendig. Dafür wäre es besser mehr Ablageflächen/Schränke zu haben und den Sitzbereich größer zu gestalten. Aber das ist unsere Meinung.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt im The Royal Purnama. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und strahlt eine ruhige, entspannte Atmosphäre aus. Besonders begeistert hat uns unsere Villa mit privatem Pool, der viel Privatsphäre bot und unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht hat. Uns hat die Yoga Stunde in der Früh mit Ausblick auf das Meer sehr gut gefallen, der perfekte Start in den Tag. Hervorheben möchten wir vor allem das Personal, das jederzeit herzlich, freundlich und zuvorkommend war. Wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens betreut gefühlt. Insgesamt hat uns der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen, wir wären gerne länger geblieben und würden das The Royal Purnama jederzeit wieder besuchen und weiterempfehlen.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Royal Purnama and couldn't recommend it more highly. Our villa was exactly as pictured and described—beautifully designed, spacious, and completely private. We never heard any noise from neighbouring villas, which made it the perfect place to unwind and enjoy our honeymoon in peace. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. Every team member was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. The twice-daily housekeeping service was fantastic, our villa was always immaculate, and our drinking water was consistently topped up, with additional bottles provided whenever we requested them. The food at the restaurant was excellent, and we particularly loved the live musician who performed during dinner service. It created such a lovely atmosphere each evening and made dining at the resort even more special. We booked the Luxury Escape package and found it to be outstanding value for money. The package included a delicious daily à la carte breakfast and a daily two-course meal, both of which exceeded our expectations in quality and variety. As an adults-only resort, The Royal Purnama offered exactly the relaxing and tranquil experience we were looking for. It was the perfect place to spend our honeymoon, and we left feeling completely refreshed. We would happily return in the future.

A great place with stunning swimming pools right on the beachfront, great food, service and entertainment. Should have stayed longer!

We stayed in a Cempaka Villa for 4 nights. The Royal Purnama was our last stay out of 3 villa resorts on our Bali holiday. It was the one we had looked forward to the most but was a bit disappointed. The villa was biggest though despite keeping the doors closed mosquito's found their way in from the open bathroom and cleaners kept main door open during their time. The mosquito net around the bed didn't work as it was not closed at the top. Each night you got bitten going to the bathroom and it also was sweltering hot with no air con in there. The sun lounger was great outside though there was no shade cover over it and we had to drape towels over the top frame. The walkway to the restaurants were archways covered in climbers but weren't pretty as you only saw the undergrowth. Bats in the evening flew through and due to restricted space they flew quite close to you. The pathways themselves were difficult to walk on due to the bricks not being flush. Food ok. The prettiest bit was the beach though the restaurant next door, Moonstone Beach lounge (not part of Purnama) had a nicer outlook and better food. The Purnama staff were friendly and efficient. Just expected a bit more given this was the most expensive out of our 3 Bali stays.

We spent three nights at the end of a three weeks tour through Indonesia - and The Royal Purnama provided a perfect and very relaxing conclusion. The rooms were spacious and luxurious, the location at the black sand beach just marvelous. Most of all the always friendly and helpful staff should be mentioned who made an effort to memorise our names and room numbers and always remember our preferences - really exceptional.

You cannot expect use hotels beach.Generally beach required more attention and need to be clean regularly.Anyway, it is not swimmable...Nearest good beach is Sanur, 35 minutes with hotel free transfer. Good one.

Loved this serene resort with a wonderful restaurant on a black sand beach. We visited for 3 nights before heading on a cruise from Bali to Bangkok. The atmosphere and service level were exceptional. A very well maintained property. The villas are huge and all are an easy walk to either of the restaurants on site. The villa pools are amazing. We spent every afternoon in our pool or relaxing on the oversized lounge bed. The only minor complaint I would note is that the bathroom can get extremely warm late afternoon and early evening making it a bit uncomfortable when getting a shower and dressed for dinner. The bathroom is huge and closed off from the kitchen, lounge area and sleeping area with a door. When you go into the bathroom late afternoon it can be sweltering because the shower area is open. The bathroom has the ceiling area above the shower open which is a nice concept except it gets too warm and does allow insects to enter your bathroom area. Insects were not a problem at the resort; I did encounter one snail and one small spider in the bathroom area but no insects in the rest of our villa and I did not get one mosquito bite during our visit [and mosquitos love me]. Housekeeping does a wonderful job at this resort. The restaurants are very nice. The included breakfast is ala carte with a variety of options. We did enjoy lunch at Moonstone [which has a different menu than Standing Stone] one afternoon but preferred the atmosphere at Standing Stone Pool and Restaurant. The restaurant offered a special menu every night and often had live entertainment. One evening the rooftop area was available for dinner and one evening we had a private beachside dinner. The food at the restaurant was consistently good. Shuttle service is offered to a marketplace and to a beach. The mall in Surin was very nice but we did not feel that the beach was worth the visit...it could not compare to the lovely pool areas at the resort, or to our private villa pool area. We also did a complimentary 30 minute photo shoot at the resort. The photographer was very talented and does not pressure you to purchase photos...however, the photos were so good; we had to purchase a few. We totally enjoyed our brief visit to this outstanding resort and would definitely recommend visiting if you are heading on a cruise embarking in Bali. Our package included a oneway transfer...it was great not to have to arrange our transfer to the cruise port.

My third visit since Oct 2025 and as always The Royal Purnama delivers and keeps getting better with each visit. What doesn’t change is the warm hospitality and service of all staff who all have a beautiful smile on their faces , greeting “selamat pagi” while walking to the restaurant in the morning for breakfast which by the way is sumptuous and full of flavour. Some restaurant staff recognised me and served up my toast “extra pedas” with a side of chopped red chillies which I had mentioned during my first visit in Oct 2025 This time around I stayed at the “Jepun” villa which was just as nice as “Cempaka” I had stayed during my previous stays. The “welcome home” decoration on the bed was definitely touching. The place feels like it is indeed a home away from home. I can’t wait to return for the fourth time. Suksma Royal Purnama team !

We visited this place to celebrate my daughter's graduation from college. We are world travelers, but this was our first trip to Bali and quite frankly, the service was the best I have ever experienced in the world! Even before we arrived, the staff timely responded to countless questions we had via email. They were so kind and communicative. That level of attentiveness was just the tip of the iceberg and continued a thousand-fold upon arrival. Once we arrived, the staff was amazing. Everyone was beyond friendly and always helpful. Every detail was always considered. There were three of us and they always greeted us by name. Our villa was gorgeous. We got the 2-bedroom w/private pool. Worth every penny. The pictures don't do this place justice at all. Waking up to birds chirping and the waterfall in the pool was transformative. At one point my daughter said if she could give this place a million stars she would. As a mother trying to treat her daughter to a memorable experience, that compliment warmed my heart. The complimentary breakfast was spectacular. There is something for everyone. American, Asian, you name it. We had it delivered to our room a few times and it only cost about $5 USD extra for the service. They would even pack breakfast boxes for us on days that we didn't have time to eat before an excursion. One evening my daughter was not feeling well (I suspect too much partying the night before) and they were so concerned she missed dinner that they called our room to check on her and sent coconut water and ginger tea (at no charge!). And that wasn't just any coconut water - It was a whole coconut with the hotel name's engraved on it. It was quite the production.

It was a wonderfull vacation. Everything was perfect, luxury, clean, tasty and beautiful. The service was outstanding.

I first went to The Royal Purnama in May 2025 and I promised that I would go back, which I recently did. The 2nd time around was just as good as my first visit and the 'welcome back' that I received was genuinely touching and it made me feel like I was visiting friends/family - so thank you all for that ❤️ This time round, I opted for a room with a jazucci (which was above the room that I had last year) and I was not disappointed. Nothing was too much for the Management Team, Restaurant Team or the Spa Team (I would have gladly had a spa treatment every day, especially the hot stones, if my stay was longer). The food, nightly entertainment and politeness of all members of staff could not be faulted - you were always greeted with a warm smile. If you hadn't planned or were not sure of what you wanted to do whilst staying at The Royal Purnama, this can now be done from the TV in your room as it gives an extensive overview of what is on offer at the resort, TV channels, movie channels etc using only one remote control. You really need to visit The Royal Purnama to truly appreciate and experience all the positive comments. Finally, I would like to say a big thank you to the following members of staff: Dodik, Ririn, Ketut, Dewi, Lina, Puspa, Nita, Citra, Inka and Nadra and everyone else who remembered me from last year. We had a lovely holiday at the royal purnama. From beginning to the end of our stay, we were very good taken care of and it all felt very luxurious. Food was good, rooms were good and all the hotel staff was extremely kind. Especially our driver Raka was nice and friendly and he took good care of us.

From the moment we stepped out of our complimentary taxi and were greeted by the Reception team we knew we were in for something special. Relaxed check in process accompanied by welcome drink and nibbles before being whisked off to our private pool villa. To say we were mindblown at the room (even GETTING to the room) is an understatement...and we kept going into the giant indoor/outdoor bathroom and giggling because it was so ridiculously gorgeous. Everything has a luxurious feel about it, from the linen to the fixtures and decor...and the private pool really is magical. The staff in all areas of the resort were super friendly and helpful, the food at both Standing Stone and Moonstone was exceptional and the whole place has such a relaxing resort vibe. Doesn't hurt that we were there in the off season so it wasn't super busy - never any issues getting a table or poolside cabana. We have stayed in "Luxury" accommodation all over the world but the Royal Purnama has been our best overall experience to date. The ONLY thing that could possibly make it better if it is were closer to local amenities - but it's not a bad thing being stuck in paradise.

Me and my boyfriend stayed at the Royal Purnama for 12 nights and we can easily say that this was the best hotel experience we’ve had. The amazing hospitality of the staff, the food and the entertainment, and the calm location made our stay exceptional. We also liked that the owners are Indonesian and that they support the local community. A great hidden gem away from the touristy parts of Bali, but with central access to the island. The architecture was stunning and comfortable: the breakfast was included. Staff were very polite.

Some spa services (scrub, wrap) were not what I expected. The villas had a baby blue kimonos and it said I could purchase one at the shop but they did not have them for sale so it was false hope giving and false information.

The breakfast was AMAZING. It was included with the room and yet it was ala cart. So, we could order as much we wanted. The staff was amazing. Also there was a free delicious high tea every day. Amazing experience!

Everything was great except the taxi situation. The hotel wanted us to use their taxi instead of GRAB or GOJEK (Uber equivalent) and the cars services were not allowed in.

We had a lovely time staying here. The staff were incredibly accommodating and the facilities were wonderful. We are looking forward to our next stay!

Diese Unterkunft mal ein außergewöhnliches Erlebnis. Es war Luxus pur in einer wunderbar ruhigen Lage in urwaldähnlicher Umgebung. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in einem Duplexbau mit geteilten, eigenen Pool. Perfekt war auch das Restaurant, etwas erhöht gelegen, damit nicht direkt an der doch belebten Straße, man war damit nicht direkt mittendrin im sehr belebten Treiben von Ubut. Das Hotels erstreckte sich nach hinten in einer terrassenähnlichen Anlage, der Pool war sehr schön und ebenfalls ruhig gelegen. Die Rezeption in der weitläufigen Anlage dennoch gut erreichbar und das Personal immer sehr bemüht, alle Wünsche zu erfüllen, meistens dauerte es nicht lange. Sehr praktisch war auch der Shuttleservice zu unterschiedlichen Restaurants innerhalb von Ubut. Meistens kostenlos.

Es gibt gar nichts, es war außergewöhnlich und alle unsere Wünsche wurden erfüllt.

Our rooms wer spectacular--even more beautiful than the photos on Booking. We absolutely LOVED our private pool in our Villa. It was SO nice we did not want to leave on our last day, as we lounged in our pool till the very last minute! The service and staff were also lovely. The location was great too--private and quiet, and relatively near (a 15 to 20 minute taxi ride) to some more happening places. The ONLY drawback was that the beach at the hotel did not have a swimmable area. We were told the currents were too dangerous. We missed having a nice beach but the private villa pool made up for it BIG TIME!

The only thing that we missed was a usable beach, but otherwise it was stunning...

Moonstone beach club was amazing. The cocktails were the best in bali. Staff was incredible, going out of their way to ensure every need was met.

The food, coffee, rooms and facilities were great. The cempaka villas with private pool was fantastic. The pool was so refreshing and very large. Service from the staff was very friendly, personal and welcoming. The nightly entertainment and scheduled inclusions keep your day interesting and enjoyable.

If you like to be amongst crowds and have shops close by then this might be something to consider, but there is always local drivers and grab to help you get around.

We stayed at The Royal Purnama for 6 nights at the end of December. We were in a Cempaka pool suite and from the moment we saw the suite we knew we’d made the right decision! The resort is medium size and we were in one of the furthest villas from the Restaurant but for us that was great as it was quiet and we could get some exercise after all the delicious food we ate there. The villa was entered through a secure gate which was up just a few stairs. When you enter the villa compound you can see the wonderful landscaping and your front door is up a walkway across some small ponds. There is a rather large pool along the side of the villa with doors opening directly from the bedroom and the bathroom. The villa essentially has three rooms; a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom is partially open air with no roof over the shower only and the shower is in a small garden. The kitchen is comprehensive with two gas hotplates, refrigerator/Minibar (complementary), pots and pans and crockery/Cutlery. There’s a Nespresso machine and milk is supplied daily if you like milk with your coffee. My only criticism of the room is the pillows didn’t smell great and they were quite lumpy, on reflection we should have asked for some new ones. The resort has 2 restaurants, Standing Stones and the Moonstone beach club. Both have fabulous food and while it is easy to dine nightly at Standing stones please try Moonstone as well. Don't be put off thinking it will be noisy, we went there twice and we were some of the only people in the restaurant. Standing Stones is set in a more traditional setting around some “standing stones” while Moonstone is ultra modern and lovely and trendy. The largest swimming pool is at Moonstone Beach club, if you’re staying in the resort entry to Moonstone is free. The resort is a little bit off the normal tourist track but still very close to Sanur and still right on the beach. This is why we chose it and we’re very glad we did!!

The entire team running the resort is incrediblely strong and efficient. They are very service-focused and congrats to the Management for having such an ACE team. Awesome stay with very yummy food served on site. 👍👏🏻

Exceptional escape with incredible attention to detail, service and food. I would suggest including the out-of-this-world breakfast and dinner as nothing else is nearby. But this suited us. The quiet location allowed for complete relaxation, yet it’s s close enough for easy day trips to be arranged. Luxury was everywhere and the spa massage was the best I’ve ever had. But for us, the room fit outs (with two baths!) and the staff made this a place we will return to. Absolutely loved our holiday here.

Geburtstages meines Mannes, die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war bereits hervorragend, man ging umgehend auf Fragen ein und auf besondere Wünsche.  Kleiner Tipp von mir zu "besonderen Anlässen" schauen Sie auch unbedingt auf die Homepage um sich überzeugen und lassen, denn über booking oder andere Anbieter ist nicht das komplette Sortiment an Angeboten ersichtlich.  Neben dem perfekt nach meinen Wünschen organisierte Geburtstag ist mein persönliches Highlight der Afternoon-Tea, die Cocktails vor dem Dinner bei Agus oder Andika. Namentlich möchten wir uns noch bei Puspa + Dewi bedanken für den hervorragenden Service und noch so viele mehr dessen Namen wir uns nicht alle merken konnten. Die Sonnenaufgänge über dem Ozean und die Sonnenuntergänge hinter den Reisfeldern. Und Sonntags (das sind die üblichen Familientage da das der schulfreie Tag ist) ist der Strand paar hundert Meter weiter gut besucht wo die Einheimischen je nach Strömung im Meer baden oder Drachen steigen lassen. Das Warung direkt bei der Zufahrt der Anlage ist auch einen Besuch wert. Ansonsten unbedingt einige Dinner im hoteleigenen Restaurant einplanen...die Auswahl und das Essen ist ein Traum.  Wer rausfahren möchte...die Fahrer Marta (oder war das Marza??) sowie Astra haben die besten Tipps und fahren euch überall hin.  Und unseren ganz besonderen Dank für den fürsorglichen rundum-Service gilt Nita - Du hast uns so viele Sorgen genommen und hast Dich so hervorragend um Eure Gäste gekümmert. Stayed 4N at luxurious Melati Villa with private pool - very clean with attentive staff. Can improve on shower area though cos partially exposed to rain. Ms Ayu at Reception provided outstanding service and very efficient in coordinating our various activities. Standing Stones Restaurant has very polite staff with ever-smiling and friendly Ms Puspa. Moonstone Beach Lounge has cozy and charming ambience and delicious food like the Signature Gourami Fish in bamboo served by the chef himself. Ms Malini was especially helpful and provided outstanding service making our dinner more memorable.
