Small need some TLC, breakfast and beach are a plus.

This place should never be advertised as an hotel or a place to lodge. Please take heed to my comment and all the other negative ones, because they are true. The pictures available online are not from this building. When I arrived at the location, I was beyond astonished because the building was dilapidated with mildew running down the walls outside. It is located down an alley way with a lot of men hanging-out (red flag #1). At my arrival, a police car pulled up suddenly and they immediately entered the building (red flag #2). This tells me there was some illegal/criminal activity taking place, or just occurred before i showed up. I was still in disbelief that this was the hotel that I booked online with ocean view, so entered and confirmed with the receptionist if this was indeed the place and she said yes. I immediately asked her how i can get a refund, because there was no way I could stay here with my young child and feel safe. She then tried convincing me to go down the hallway and take a look around. Once i opened the door that would lead me down the hallway, the scent of marijuana slapt me in my face. I immediately turned around and told her, there is no way I am staying here because i was catfished. The manager told me that they would NOT be refunding my money. I immediately left and book another hotel to stay. I immediately filed a dispute with my credit card company and explained what occurred. Thank the Lord i was fully refunded.

The hotel is no longer by that name which made it hard to locate. The actual check in is at 4pm but it’s advertised as 3pm. Any guest can only stay on balcony but cannot come in your room. No overnight guests allowed. There is also a no refund policy so although I didn’t like the place I wa s forced to stay there so I don’t lose my money. The bar out back was the best thing this place has going on and the staff is friendly.

The view is very nice, staff very nice, but the room very dirty and old I paid for two nights but only stayed for one night because I couldn’t use the toilet, toilet was very old and dirty lots of hair on the shower walls explained why I was checking out early to the agent at the desk very nice and understanding but said he couldn’t do anything because I paid Expedia, but really couldn’t stayed because I needed to used the toilet and I couldn’t used the one that was in my room, they didn’t even offer to change my room are yo do anything to fix the situation so over paid for a hotel room that don’t even worth fifty dollars a night. I will not book any more hotels on your website.

Please don't let the picture that you see of this hotel fooled you it is nothing like it I did not know that plces like this exist in Jamaica it's dirty in the hallway the room was not too dirty this was the first time for me staying in this kind of hotel I always stay in a fiver star hotel but everywhere was fully booked, but I did not expect that

The property is in a state of total dis repair. The rooms and surroundings are dirty, and in need of a total renovation. The online photos of the property are totally misleading. We had a 3 night stay reserved, but did not stay due to the poor conditions at the property.

Wow, this place is a DUMP. We paid extra for a "Premium Suite" and it was disgusting. Very dated - toilet didn't work, TV didn't work, safe in the room didn't work, shower was all rusty and didn't work well. Tile floors cracked, mold on the ceiling, stained curtains, sliding glass doors didn't work well. Place was dirty/noisy. There is no real restaurant, no spa, etc. Food was not good. We couldn't get out fast enough.

The beach and swimming are first-rate. It is the same area as five-star hotels like Jamaica Inn and Couples. And the White River runs into the sea right beside the hotel making the water clean and clear.

The staff was AMAZING!! Absolutely love Dion. The food was good and the beach is THE BEST BEACH i have been to in Jamaica. And i have been to Jamaica MANY times. The property definitely needs ALOT OF WORK. We had an ant problem in my room and i had to get bug spray daily. We stayed and only had our room cleaned 1x upon asking. There is debris outside in many of the corners definitely an eye sore. We lost oower for 5 hours after a storm. UNACCEPTABLE! Any establishment should have working generators. However, If you want a GREAT experience and not concerned about the level of amenities and your room being "ok" . Then book it!!

I didn't like the fact that I book a honeymoon suite which is totally not up to the standards I was expecting the bathroom sore point no door on it the shower facets aren't working properly the Ac unit at one point stop working, iron board no iron when ask for one had to wait at a hour for it to come iron came in a deplorable condition the dinning area needs to be upgraded

I would assume the pictures online were taking when the place was just open...it looks nothing like the picture u see ..the staff were nice.. Just the place need some urgent work.. Wow. This is COMPLETELY different from the pictures. These pictures must have been taken 10 years ago. I didnt even check in. Expedia is saying I will not get a refund which is crazy. I hope I can show ALL potential guests my images to show what they will ACTUALLY get if they book this place. When I arrived I showed a picture of the Expedia room to the receptionist who said "Sir we dont have any rooms in this hotel that look like that!" That says it all. Completely dissatisfied.

I have an illness that requires peace and serenity, and to be honest the food, the comfort of the room, the view and the staff wasn’t bad. The spa therapist was great as well. Going back for more nights in the future😜👍

This place is terrible,the location is awful,the Check in point is dirty. Upon entering the room I just decided that I would rather lose my money than stay there.so I left. Property is very unsafe in my opinion.

Total failure compared to what we saw on expedia while booking. Rooms were dirty/ not ready to check in even at 400 pm. Water flow in room was terible. Cleanliness not existing. Never will recommend to anyone.

The room I booked was different from what was offered. The linens were missing. Had to ask for a comforter bedspread n it came ripped and had dirt stains on it. There was spiders on the wall. The AC was loud and noisy all night. The restaurant was closed early limited choices. The sliding doors to the balcony was super hard to open n needs to be fixed. I appreciate if my stay can be refunded I paid $146 for that night for a crappy hotel.

Dirty sheets (pubic hairs, various greasy wet looking stains. Customer service says clean sheets are wet and he wasn't allowed to use dryer. No manager because it's Sunday, no refund.. nothing.

The staff made the stay bearable. They were kind, went above and beyond to accommodate. The room sink/shower/fridge were super rusty. Was disappointed As I noticed the locals had more up to date rooms. Room also had an odd smell but if you’re not looking to spend too much time inside it’s ok for the price.

the reviews online were all fabricated and the pictures are not up to date and accurate. I paid for two nights and they were not able to find my reservations then they told me that I have to pay with Jamaican currency after I had already paid using my credit card before traveling. the room was filthy dirty the security stated that there was no housekeeping and the ac was not working and he states that was as cols as it was going to get, he didn't even offer a fan, it was at 2 am he finally brought a fan after I went back down there. I left the building and came back I was not able to get in I knocked and knocked and he finally came to the door after waking up. The manager came in the morning and of course, was not aware of any of my concerns or request after explaining to her what I was told about monies being refunded back to me after showing supporting documents. the manager explained that I was not able to get back my refund on the Jamaican card I needed to contact Expedia because the payment did not go through please see proof that the payment did go through. She offered a hug to calm me down and suggested I sit outside until she finds a room and situate things. After sitting down I was told to get up twice and this just added more to what I was already going through. The two security state that I was tresspassing and that was not KAZ Kreols property. there was no sign indicating such. I had to leave ad find another place for me and my family to stay tha was cle

After staying here for almost a week, I grew a slight appreciation for the lodge. Yes, it is very dated and needs alot of work, but the staff members and the beach access really sets the lodge apart from others. If we needed anything, there were staff members around to ask. It did take a few hours but eventually, it got done. If you are staying here, it is probably because you did not want to pay an arm and a leg for a 4-5 star hotel; keep your expectations as low as the price you paid and find the good in the lodge for the time you are there.

The First Night was Terrible. The Room air conditioner was Not cooling. I Could Not Sleep that Night. I let the front Desk know in the morning and when I came Back on the evening my problem was Not solved. It took a lot of effort from my end for this problem to be resolved.

All the pictures have nothing to do with the real status of this property. This place has NO maintenance, it's dirty, the employees are unfriendly and they don't even care on providing a good service. Please, don't go there, you will be disappointed of looking at the nice pictures and the reality is so different!

This property needs to be removed from Expedia. I made the mistake of not reading reviews before booking because I was in a hurry. What a mistake I will never make again. Absolute catfish, I don’t know how they can even get away with such lies. The place is an absolute dump. So disgusting, nothing like any photos. Outside our hotel door was a bunch of mattress forming a “wall”. The area the hotel is in was so unsafe feeling, I was worried our car would be gone by morning. The food was disgusting, the property was trash, and beach was dirty and not safe. Please whatever you do- DO NOT STAY HERE! Read these reviews and don’t make the mistake I did. What a waste of a night of our vacation.

Went for a few days get awsy. I would have preferred to be nearer to the town. I didnt like the long walkin to the hotel from the main road. It is a 3 star hotel so at the end of the day one could only expect the services of a 3 star.

Don’t stay in this place! Expedia should remove it from the options. The lady at the front desk was the only good thing as she was very kind. The place around the property is scary. The room was old and smelly the bathroom could use a lot of work pieces are falling, the hallway is dark and the carpet has stains everywhere. And the beach… It looks like from a scary movie! We were out of there like in 20 minutes.

What you are paying for at the Kaz Kreol Beach is for the beach itself. The service is as stale as the back loaf of WONDER BREAD. The woman at the front desk is in another world in incapable of fulfilling her position. I believe she was the one I spoke with about changes to the reservation and upon arrival no changes were made. I specified exactly that 4 persons were checking in plus a child who is a 1 year old. I asked if it was an issue and to let me know. However, she just kept saying the room holds only 4 and I said ok I booked a double bed that should be fine that can accommodate 4 right? She says yes, but still continues to speak of the capacity as if she didn’t even understand what she was articulating to me herself. Now let me share the main reason for this call was to check in as early as possible, because I had a wedding to attend for 4pm. She mentioned the earliest would be 2:30pm possibly earlier but they would let me know of any changes. As I reach there’s an issue with the amount of persons checked in apparently since my child who is 1 is counted as a 5th person, despite she could sleep with us. Due to that I was charged for additional 2 people, which was not mentioned prior to our last conversation via phone. Honestly, I’m not sure what kind of nonsense was spoken upon my ears, but it was clear that the phone call the day prior was a complete waste of time and the lady at the front doesn’t have a clue to what she is doing……

the beach and access to beach are the only great things about this establishment

The room was not reflective of the details listed on Expedia. A suite was reserved that stated we would have a mini fridge, coffee station and other amenities. The room was old and dated. Two of the light fixtures in the room were not working, the bathroom lacked washcloths (in requesting washcloths we were told they didn’t have any and we had to go off property to purchase for our use). The pictures posted on the actual website of the property and on Expedia were clearly photophopped. Overall rating of the property was 3.5 stars, that really needs to be updated to a 1 star.

Kaz Kreol is right on the beach. The sea is kind of rough in this area of Ocho Rios. The rooms face the ocean and the sea can be heard throughout the day and night. I found it very relaxing. The bed was OK. We only received 1 bath towel each. No face towel or wash cloth. No bath floor towel which made getting in and out of the bath difficult. We asked for additional towels on several occasions but never received them. We were there 3 nights. The rooms are very basic. The food in the beach restaurant was very good and the service at this restaurant is excellent. The breakfast was included in the room rate, which was lovely. The choice was American breakfast (eggs, toast or pancake) or Jamaican breakfast. There was ackee and saltfish one morning, salt fist and cabbage the next morning and the third morning was braised kidney. The coffee was excellent. The orange juice was also excellent and might have been fresh squeezed. The ackee and saltfish was good but a little oily for me and too many bones. The location is off the beaten track and down a lane beside where they sell White River Rafting tours. The hotel was fine for us but I don't think we would stay there again.

I book my reservation 3 weeks in advance. Called the hotel 2 days before my trip to let them know its my moms bday and I will like to dinner at there restaurant. To my surprise, I have no reservation for 2 rooms. Ask "WHY" cause over book. OVER BOOK AND THIS WAS MADE 3 WEEKS AGO.. ITS MY MOMS BDAY AND I BOOKED 2 ROOM FOR 2 NIGHTS NO HELP. I SPEND TIME TEXTING HOTEL.COM. Hotel.com booked us in an other hotel "not so good" but rest our head for 2 night.

The Music and the beach 🏖 was on point, the cool breeze from the balcony was amazing. Looking for somewhere to relax your mind and body Kaz Kreol is a perfect place to stay. The breakfast was delicious I had a double take.

The ocean view was ok. Sadly that's the only thing that was great about the place. Worse place I have ever been to in Jamaica.

Got out of shower. No towels no bath mat soaking wet, no toiletries. Hotels.com does list toiletries and a hair dryer which is also missing. Night shift manager said they do not provide toiletries. They don't use fitted sheets on the bed so the sheets come off real quick. 2 pillows on the bed, One with a yellow looking cover and the other one as the picture shows fluffed up like chickens are living on it. They did bring us two towels and two skimpy skinny pillows something like a moga dog. Light bulbs in one of the lamps is missing. Safe door looks pretty rusty like it's hasn't been used in a long time. Repairman said it hasn't worked in years. Definitely better establishments in Ocho Rios. Would have left to go somewhere else however my money would not have been refunded.

Staff was great except for one bartender Ingrid who looked like she couldn’t be bothered with you. I expected the property to be older but I feel they could put some money towards more secure doors and updates to bathroom and supplies like few more towels or a broom in each room or door mat would be nice Also making the foot wash station easier to use than hunting someone down to turn it on . Foood was good but quickly ran out of selections I will say for the view and listening to ocean waves put me to sleep was amazing along with the front desk help was excellent

This place is a DUMP worst hotel I've stayed at in Ocho Rios. Customer service at the is bad to nonexistent. No toletries, wash clothes or towels provided. Room had a VERY BAD odor, curtains looks like they've never removed to wash them. I booked only one night to see how it was, best decision I've made. I checked out before checkout time couldn't wait to leave. The price is also RIDICULOUS for the DUMP you're presented with.

Cheap place for a short stay but sheets were dirty and amenities on expedia not in each room. No microwave or kettle, tea. in some rooms no towels. Every close to water and ok for a very simple place.

There were only 2 couples in the whole HOTEL 😳 two hours from airport charged two dollars per washcloth surrounding area VERY SKETCHY.. me and my husband ended up canceling the room with no refund and moving to MONTEGO Bay Area 😠

We chose this hotel mainly due to the price, we weren't expecting the world but found the hotel description and especially the photos to be very deceiving. The hotel is in need of modernisation and maintaining to a higher standard. We also found it strange that room towels required a deposit when the room was checked on checkout The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything.

Did not have any water for a day. When the water was established at the facility there was no hot water.. finally when the hot water returned it was barely running.

Access to the beach was incredible. To see where the river meets the see is nature at its best. Turtles popping in and out of the water is natures paradise. Simply amazing.

RIGHT ON THE BEACH!!!! Nice breakfast, but maybe provide water when seated. Bed was comfortable and water ran hot with good pressure. Definitely could use some updates and more for guests (ie more towels, wash cloth, hand towel, rug for shower, shampoo/conditioner) also to note the lack of outlets. A simple surg protector would help. Maybe another light in room. Would have been ideal if staff put a rollaway bed in room, as asked and discussed 3 separate times. Overall, i would stay here again in a pinch knowing what it both lacks and offers.

The location, view, and amenities and complimentary breakfast was very nice given the price. The staff was courteous and friendly. Our room was clean but the building and our room, doors, lighting , bathrooms decor were very dated. The entrance and check in area needs to be modernized spacious and inviting.Overall was a pleasant experience since I booked it 2x times given location, beachfront dining and bar, and great sea view and relaxing feel.

The property is beautiful but needs TLC. We couldn’t get towels and was told that the dryer was slow. the property could use a good cleaning. The staff needs to be more proactive in meeting the needs of the guests.

We paid and reserved the Superior suite and didn't get that room or a refund. When asked why not they said they were full. But didn't give a refund for the cheaper room they gave us. We were supposed to have a kitchenette, microwave, coffee maker, iron & hammock on the balcony. We didn't have any of this. No phone in the room. Had to leave cash deposit for a towel & wash cloth. They had holes and rips in them. They were very limited with supplies. Had to go buy our own toilet paper, hand soap, towels and wash cloths to use. When we asked to change the bed sheets after 5 days, we were told they don't have enough. The website also says they have laundry facilities but they don't. There is no mini bar in the room either. The curtains were see through. The pictures of the rooms on the website are not what they look like in real life. Upon check out, they had someone go to the room and check it before returning the cash deposit.
