The hotel is nice but a bit basic which is not surprising considering it is inside the castle and all buildings are similar. It is picturesque and staff were very nice. Breakfast was good, nothing too varied but acceptable.

To get to the hotel is quite a bit of a walk as it is all the way at the end of the islet. If you arrive late after 10.30pm there is no one to carry your bags from the castle entrance so that was quite an exercise. There are usually trolleys you can load your bags on but it is still a bit exhausting to carry them yourself. There was nowhere to park outside the castle entrance I believe due to some roadworks (as of July 2026). We had to park our car near the bridge that connects the castle with the mainland which is an extra 10 minute walk uphill and then you have to walk till the end of the islet to get to the hotel. So if you are planning to stay there be prepared to walk and make sure you are fit enough for it.

ottima la colazione e la vista. L'hotel non è in prossimità dell'ingresso quindi bisogna camminare un po' per raggiungerlo. La camera era piuttosto piccola, non si riusciva ad uscire passando attorno al letto. onestamente per quanto pagato non era il massimo.

Flott rom med en god seng. Vi bodde på toppen av bygningen med en stor terrasse og fantastisk utsikt utover havet og byen. Det var verdt å gå opp alle trappene. Nydelig hjemmelaget frokost og veldig hyggelig personale

Βρήκα ίσως λίγο μικρό το ένα υπνοδωμάτιο . Μόνο αυτό . Όλα τα άλλα ήταν υπέροχα !

The location is TRULY second to none! Staying at the hotel is a unique experience, don’t miss it.

The room we stayed in was not the most comfortable. The balcony was more of a passageway, and you literally had to climb over to get into the double bed. But its uniqueness and overall good taste more than made up for the lack of comfort.

Ένα από τα καλύτερα πρωινά ever. Πλούσιο και με πολλές επιλογές. Απο κει και πέρα όλα ήταν άψογα.

Όλο το προσωπικό πολύ ευγενικό και σε εγρήγορση για να εξυπηρετήσουν. Το ξενοδοχείο ήταν αρκετά ήσυχο αν και το κάστρο είχε πάρα πολύ κόσμο (ενδεχομένως λόγω της τοποθεσίας) πράγμα που το κάνει ιδανικό για εμένα. Πρωινό μπουφέ πολύ καλό με την τέλεια ποικιλία (όχι άπειρες επιλογές αλλά όχι και λίγες. Ιδανικό για να μην γίνεται σπατάλη φαγητού αλλά ταυτόχρονα να ικανοποιεί όλα τα γούστα) και μηχανές του καφέ με ποικιλία καφέ (cappuccino , espresso κλπ).

La ville de Monemvassia est extraordinaire et l'hotel a une vue incroyable.

Great location, super close to the main town but at the same time quiet and serene. Beautiful views of the baclony (we stayed at the Suite with Sea view valcony). If you are lucky enough to go on a full moon it is truly majestic.

The only thing I would give my honest feedback to take into conside, is the “value for money” aspect. For the price and the fact that we booked a “suite”, we expected (a) cleaning service (make the bed, change towels if needed), together with (b) a bottle of water in the room. Also, a couple of the bedroom walls need repaint because of the humidity…maybe they will take care of it after the summer period passes and they will have less people to serve and more time to take care of the property and prepare for the next season. Ps: the air conditioning makes intense noise/weird noises which can sometimes catch you off guard during the night..

The location of the hotel, right in the town, the hotel itself is well maintained and clean. It is a beautiful hotel with lots of stairs and walkways connecting different parts of the building. The views were amazing. The staff were really friendly, breakfast was super, lots of choice.

Τα μαξιλάρια είναι πολύ ψηλά. Ζήτησα άλλο και μας έφεραν αλλά ήταν το άλλο άκρο. Πάρα πολύ χαμηλά.

Magical experience to have stayed in a place with so much history. Everything was perfect. We can't fault anything.

The cobal stone and uneven pathways made it a little difficult but with a little care.

I still can’t believe I paid €305 per night for a two-room suite, and there was no coffee machine, no kettle, and no tissues. The terrace needs some shade otherwise it's useless under the summer sun.

The room was nice, but the highlight really was the view. I have stayed at very nice hotels in my life, but the view from our bedroom here was incredible.

The bathroom had a window, but it was still pretty humid because it didn’t ventilate well. I understand it’s an old building though, so this type of “issue” is justified in my opinion.

Πολύ όμορφο ξενοδοχείο εντός του υπέροχου ιστορικού οικισμού. Καθαρό, ήσυχο και μεγάλο δωμάτιο, άνετα κρεβάτια, πλούσιο πρωϊνό και φιλικό προσωπικό.

Η θέση του καταλύματος και η κλίση του εδάφους κουράζουν λίγο με τις μετακινίσεις, αλλά αυτό είναι σύνηθες για τα ξενοδοχεία του ιστορικού οικισμού. Θα ήταν χρήσιμο να υπήρχε μια καφετιέρα στο δωμάτιο (συνηθίζεται πια στα αξιοπρεπή καταλύματα) και να ανανεώνονται τα νεράκια του ψυγείου.

Tout, l'emplacement, tout en haut du village, au calme, la vue sur la mer depuis la grande terrasse,, la chambre, la gentillesse du personnel, la qualité des petit déjeuners. Et la placette en bas pour s'attabler au coucher du soleil ou boire un café frappé le matin...

Rien. En revanche marche obligatoire et un peu sportive pour accéder depuis l'entrée du village car cela grimpe, a savoir... Mais la récompense est au bout...

1 chambre superbe, grande, calme et avec vue 2 chambres très sombres, dont 1 donnant sur la ruelle avec aucune isolation acoustique

It is not just a hotel, it is an experience. It is much more than just to visit the old town Monenvaisa and accomodaite in the new town, esppecially if you are there a night or two..If you want to feel Monenvasia, a stay in this hotel is a must ❤️

Breakfast is inside, which is ok, because of maybe windy weather etc..But if you want to go outside for coffe and cigar after breacfast you have to stand. Tables and chais that are available at night infront of the reasturant, after breakfast are not available.

Struttura pulita, abbastanza ricca la colazione.

L'ultima struttura dell'unica stradina medioevale (vuol dire pietre, roccie, gradini). Dopo la tremenda fattica per arrivare ci aspettavano ancora scale strette. Impossibile arrivare con bagagli. La struttura doveva prevedere di aver personale da ricevere gli ospiti all'ingresso del castello.

The room looked just like the pictures, we loved it. Very comfort bed and pillows, and overall had everything we needed. There’s a nice balcony which is not shown in the photos, it was a pleasant surprise and we really enjoyed it. The breakfast was very nice too, and the staff were very nice and accommodating. The cafe (not sure is its part of the hotel or not) located right under the hotel rooms has an amazing view and lovely staff as well.

Not really a huge problem, but it would be nice to have a couple water glasses it the room.

Πολύ όμορφο κατάλυμα στο πιο ωραίο σημείο του κάστρου!!! Συγχαρητήρια στη γλυκύτατη κυρία που έφτιαχνε αυτό το υπέροχο πρωινό!!!

Η θέα από το μπαλκόνι ήταν μαγευτική! Πρέπει να είχαμε την καλύτερη θέα σε ολόκληρη την Μονεμβασιά! Το πρωινό είχε πολύ μεγάλη ποικιλία και το προσωπικό ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό. Να το επισκεφθείτε οπωσδήποτε!

The hotel is situated and the end of the town and the views of the town and the sea were amazing. The hotel bar was also a wonderful location to enjoy the view with a drink and had great service.

The only downside was that breakfast started quite late compared to almost every other hotel we have stayed in Europe. We wanted to at least grab a coffee before we left for the day.

Υπέροχη διαμονή μέσα στο Κάστρο. Καθαρό δωμάτιο, μπαλκόνι με πανέμορφη θέα. Το πρωινό ήταν εξαιρετικό και η κυρία που ήταν υπεύθυνη ευγενέστατη. Στα συν το cafe του ξενοδοχείου που είναι από τα καλύτερα στο Κάστρο.

La situation de l’établissement est tout simplement incroyable.

Estar en la ciudad amurallada ya de por sí es mágico. Nuestra habitación genial porque teníamos dos terracotas con mesas, y con una estructura curiosa distribuida en tres niveles.

El acceso es terrible. No hay aparcamiento para huéspedes en la entrada de la ciudad. Tienes que aparcar incluso en la ciudad moderna y subirte andando con las maletas o pedir taxi. Una vez que llegas, tienes que recorrer toda la ciudad porque el hotel está en el extremo contrario a la puerta. En la descripción decía que a tan solo 300 metros, que parece poco pero resulta agotador arrastrar las maletas por calles empedradas llenas de turistas.

Το δωμάτιο ήταν πανέμορφο και αποτύπωνε μοναδικά την αρχοντική ατμόσφαιρα και τη γοητεία της Μονεμβασιάς. Το μπαλκόνι με τη μαγευτική θέα στη θάλασσα ήταν το ιδανικό σημείο για να απολαύσουμε τη διαμονή μας. Το πρωινό ήταν πολύ νόστιμο, ενώ η τοποθεσία εξαιρετικά βολική, με ένα υπέροχο καφέ ακριβώς κάτω από το ξενοδοχείο. Μια πραγματικά ξεχωριστή εμπειρία που σίγουρα θα επαναλάβουμε!

The main issue with this hotel is the attitude of the “big boss” — the owner or senior manager. Unfortunately, he often came across as arrogant and unnecessarily controlling. Small things made the stay less pleasant: my wife was climbing the many stairs with two children and luggage, and he did not even offer to help with a small bag. At breakfast, we wanted to drink a coffee outside, less than one meter from the door, but this was not allowed. We were also told we were taking too much space, and when we took the water bottle to pour water into our glasses, he immediately came to tell us the bottle was for everyone. These are small details, but on holiday they matter. Nobody wants to feel watched over how much water a child drinks or whether someone takes two slices of salami. The ironic part is that the rest of the staff were very kind, smiling, and helpful. Breakfast was good, and the hotel has a truly special location inside the old castle of Monemvasia. The rooms are a bit dated and the beds are not the most comfortable, but the experience of staying inside such a historic place is worth it. My honest recommendation for the “big boss” would be to take a vacation himself, go to the beach or go fishing, and let the people he hired do their job. They are doing it well. His constant involvement in small details does more harm than good. Overall, Monemvasia and the hotel were a very nice experience. Without the “big boss” creating unnecessary tension over small things, it could have been perfect.

De locatie was geweldig, aan het eind van het dorpje, dus heel rustig. Het uitzicht was prachtig. Het ontbijtbuffet was heel uitgebreid en ontzettend lekker!

De badkamer was erg klein en laag.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, l’hôtel se situe à l’extrémité de Monemvasia, avec une vue sur la mer. La chambre était bien aménagé, très propre. Le petit déjeuner type buffet était vraiment appréciable.

The access to the hotel is terrible. You have to leave the car at the bridge and walk for 1.5km to reach the castle entrance. There is a bus service with a charge for me unacceptable but we didn't know no one told us Also our room was situated on top of a cafe bar and we couldn't sleep because there were people below of our window. Talking till late in the evening.

Camera molto piccola con un lato del letto matrimoniale (alla francese) contro il muro. É l’unico motivo per cui non ho dato 10. Difficile raggiungere la camera con la valigia. Impossibile per chi ha difficoltà di deambulazione

Location, location, location. Very easy to walk to - down the Main Street of Monemvasia until nearly the end. Just beyond is one of the best coffee shop lookouts in the whole town. Our room was extremely well equipped with strong doors and windows. Our terrace featured the view you see on instragram and spend years wishing you could experience it. Staff were polite and helpful.

This is a perfect romantic getaway or a fairytale location! Everywhere you look it's delightful! The old town is a gem: the small traditional homes, the amazing flora, the charming shops, the excellent restaurants, the stone alleys, the white churches, the ruins of the fort on the hill, the turquoise sea surrounding the island, everything charms your eye. Our location was very special and offered a scrumptious breakfast!

To get more info about the surrounding would have been welcome. However it’s a really small village with just a single road.

Dit is werkelijk een prachtig hotel, met het mooiste terras van Monemvasia. Het ontbijt is heerlijk. We verbleven 3 nachten in een schitterend split-level appartement met terras en een magnifiek uitzicht. Het personeel is vriendelijk en gastvrij. We hebben hier een heerlijke tijd gehad. Een absolute aanrader!”
