Great room and amenities. Nice breakfast.

We were in Room 6 with a spectacular view of the sea. The windows and casements were lovely, as were the simple but comfortable furnishings.

My towel kept sleeping off the peg into shower water.

Μερικά ξενοδοχεία δεν τα αξιολογείς. Τα θυμάσαι. ❤️ Δεν ξέρω αν η Μονεμβασιά μπορεί να γίνει πιο όμορφη, αλλά σίγουρα το Byzantino Boutique Hotel ξέρει να την κάνει ακόμη πιο ξεχωριστή. Μείναμε σε έναν χώρο που ταίριαζε απόλυτα με την ατμόσφαιρα της καστροπολιτείας. Και το πρωινό; ΟΥΑΟΥ!😍 Πραγματικά από εκείνα τα πρωινά που δεν θέλεις να τελειώσουν. Πλούσιο, προσεγμένο και με πολλές όμορφες επιλογές, σε έναν χώρο που σε έκανε να θέλεις να μείνεις λίγο ακόμη. Όμως, όπως συμβαίνει πάντα, το ξενοδοχείο δεν είναι μόνο το δωμάτιο. >>>Είναι οι άνθρωποι. Η κυρία Κωνσταντίνα, η κυρία Νάνα και ο κύριος Θεοδωρής ήταν πραγματικά υπέροχοι. Ευγενικοί, χαμογελαστοί και με αυτή την αυθεντική διάθεση που δεν διδάσκεται σε κανένα εγχειρίδιο φιλοξενίας. Περάσαμε υπέροχα. Και κάπως έτσι, ανάμεσα στα πέτρινα σοκάκια, τις καμάρες, τη θάλασσα και την ατμόσφαιρα της Μονεμβασιάς, νιώσαμε ότι για λίγο φύγαμε από την καθημερινότητα. Σαν να ζήσαμε ένα μικρό παραμύθι. Και ίσως αυτή να είναι η καλύτερη αξιολόγηση που μπορώ να γράψω: Δεν φύγαμε απλώς από ένα ξενοδοχείο. Φύγαμε με μια όμορφη ανάμνηση. Σας ευχαριστούμε πολύ για τη φιλοξενία. ❤️

La unica cosa bona era la ubicacio

De boutique nomes en te el nom. Descuidat, vell, brut, em falten adjectius per descriure la tristor que ens va provocar l'habitacio. El preu es exagerat! Segur que hi ha opcions millor a Monemvasia

Very nice stay in the middle of the town, beautiful !

Overpriced especially the breakfast, also the shower head was not attached to the wall and sink was broken. Interior needs an update at this price range it should be better.

The view from the property’s balcony was stunning. The room was quiet even though it was located very close to the commercial street of Monemvasia.

We booked the superior room which is a maisonette. It is misleading that although the hotel seems to be the first one entering Monemvasia, our room was a bit far from the gate - and hotel’s front desk. This was not mentioned in advance in Booking nor when we talked over the phone before our visit. We were travelling with a 2-year old kid. Moreover, the staff seemed to be in general a bit careless. Lastly, before checking out the room - last day - we found a dead cockroach in our bathroom. Even though we understand that a place like Monemvasia might have such insects, still the staff was pathetic enough when we mentioned it.

Sehr malerische, mittelalterliche Altstadt. Hotel sehr nahe beim Eingangstor. Zimmer mit Terrasse und toller Aussicht auf das Meer. Freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption.

Frühstückbuffet solala, etwas lieblos präsentiert. Tolle Kaffeemaschine vorhanden, aber leider gab’s keinen Cappuccino.

Schönes Zimmer mit wunderschöner Aussicht.

Bei der Ankunft wurden uns gleich hinter dem Stadttor die Koffer abgenommen und wir wurden zum Hotel gebracht. Das gesamte Personal ist überaus freundlich gewesen. Das Zimmer war hervorragen, egal in welcher Hinsicht. Es hatte eine tolle Lage, war seht sauber und gut ausgestattet. Bonus Punkt war die großzügige Dachterrasse mit Blick aufs Meer. Auch das Frühstück hat uns sehr gefallen, auch wenn die Auswahl nicht zu üppig war gab es doch für jeden das Richtige.

Den einzigen Abzug gibt es für die Kissen des Bettes da diese sowohl mir als auch meinem Freund viel zu hart und unbequem waren.

L'emplacement est superbe : dormir dans l'enceinte de la forteresse est un must, même s'il faut pour cela garer sa voiture assez loin du portail principal (toute la citée est piétonne) et acheminer ses bagages au travers des ruelles pavées. Il ne faut pas être trop chargé mais l'hôtel met à disposition du personnel pour vous aider le cas échéant. Ne pas oublier de monter à l'église Sainte Sophie et de profiter de la plage en contrebas des remparts. La chambre est spacieuse et joliment décorée. Le personnel est très accueillant.

La salle de bain est vraiment, vraiment minuscule et n'est pas vraiment propre à cause de la vétusté. Le petit déjeuner, servi dans un bar à quelques pas de la chambre, est médiocre avec des produits de petite qualité.

We had a wonderful stay in the heart of Monemvasia. The location is perfect, with everything within walking distance. Keep in mind that you have to park your car outside the old town, but that’s part of the unique experience of staying inside the castle. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They were always happy to help and did everything they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was very spacious, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. Although the room was a bit dated, that’s exactly what you would expect from accommodation in the historic old town, and it added to the charm. Overall, we had a fantastic stay thanks to the exceptional hospitality, stunning views, and unbeatable location.

There were only a couple of minor downsides. The shower could definitely use some renovation, and the light above the bed stayed on throughout the night, which was a bit disturbing while sleeping. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The only disappointment was the coffee. Considering the price per night, we expected freshly prepared coffee made to our preference rather than coffee from a small Nespresso machine with cold milk, which made it lukewarm almost immediately.

Amazing location - right in the heart of Monemvasia. Rooms were rustic but well equipped. The whole experience of living in Monemvasia is very special. Heartily recommend Byron's wine tasting bar. The sea swim off the rock platform below is a must (but it is not a beach).

Not much to not like. This is not your typical hotel. Reception is a shop just inside the castle gate but all the rooms are spread throughout the village. The check in process is like nothing you will ever have imagined. If you are driving then drive up to the main castle gate and unload there while sending someone into reception (through gate, 30m on left)

one of the twin beds had a sagging mattress and both beds were rather old. The room was run-down - not kept up as well as could be.

Geen parkeer gelegenheid en geen uitleg over hoe er te komen Telefoon was de hele middag in gesprek 5x 15 minuten naar auto en terug gelopen omdat shuttle bus niet op tijd reed in de zinderende hitte bij 32 graden Celsius Ontbijt en junior suit voldeden niet aan de verwachting en alles behalve value for money € 205 voor 1 overnachting is 50% teveel

De locatie was fantastisch midden in Monemvasia-stad. Het ontbijt was in een straatje tegenover onze kamer. Was prima.

De badkamer was minimalistisch. Kwam waarschijnlijk ook door het middeleeuwse pand. De kamer werd niet dagelijks gedaan, dat hadden we dan moeten vragen. Na opmerking vlot hersteld.

It was in the middle of everything. There was a view of the sea, small but there. It had a very rustic feel, a lot like a cabin.

The air condition didn’t seem to cool the room down at night.

Exceptional experience in this very special place called Monemvasia. The room is fully integrated into the village architecture and is a trip to the past. Comfortable and ample.

Theodor at the reception very kind - explained the topography of the city and gave us hidden tips for Monemvasia. The room had a private court with a tables Outside. Inside good WiFi, hot water, great breakfast in an external restaurant, farewell gift .

L’hôtel est très bien situé à l’entrée de la citadelle et est composé de plusieurs petites maisons anciennes. La nôtre disposait d’une grande terrasse avec une très belle vue sur la mer, très agréable en fin d’après-midi notamment. La chambre est vaste et joliment meublée . Notre chambre était sur deux niveaux, ce qui peut être gênant pour certains.

L'hotel est situé à un endroit exceptionnel, juste à l'entrée de la ville. Les chambres ont un charme incomparable et sont meublées et décorées avec beaucoup de goût. Nous avons été accueillis avec attention et le personnel nous a proposé deux chambres proches pour plus de confort avec nos enfants. Pour finir, le petit déjeuner dans une ruelle au calme était la cerise sur le gâteau

I didn’t like that from bed to bathroom there are to stairs - 1 down and than 1 high up. Also warm water lasted about 2 min and the bathroom needs improvement

Me ha gustado todo en general, nuestra habitación estaba muy bien ubicada y el sitio es mágico,la amabilidad increíble en general,un acierto elegir este hotel.

It is the best hotel in the castle. It is located literally in the heart of the castle. The apartment is well renovated and maintained and has unique historical items inside. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and shared the great recommendations for the exploring the e castle area. This one is highly recommended!

Authentic stay in a old Byzantine building. Staff however is very friendly and helpful.

A beautiful stay has one downside, the lower ceilings and doors in the bathroom are not comfortable for tall people.

Staying in Byzantino Boutique Hotel felt like a true step back in time. The stone architecture and traditional decor perfectly match the historic charm of Monemvasia. The staff was incredibly helpful, especially with navigating the cobblestone alleys and offering great local dining recommendations.

As with anywhere inside the castle, the walk from the gate with luggage can be a bit of a workout! (Just a heads-up for future travelers to pack light).
