Reviewed Jul 30, 2025The villa was very private. Big comfy bed overlooking the Atlantic with a private pool. My wife and I enjoyed every second while there. The cove had the most beautiful beach and water we’ve ever seen. We enjoyed kayaking the shallow crystal clear waters and through the mangroves. We enjoyed breakfast every morning at the Great House. The cove had simple food with a fancy flare. Dinners were very fancy with great variety and impeccable taste, the dessert as well!! Sailrock was exactly what we were looking for!!

Reviewed Jun 22, 2025Resort was great. Best stay and best island on our trip. The hidden gem at this place is Mervin. He does a little bit of everything for the resort from arranging transport to getting you setup with the best excursions. Our return flight was delayed 4hrs back to Provo. We were going to miss our connecting international flight. At a moments notice Mervin arranged a private boat and got us to the airport with time to spare. Definitely going back!!

Reviewed Jun 14, 2025This was my very first trip to South Caicos. The Sailrock Resort is a hidden gem. From our initial arrival to the very end of our stay, the staff were excellent and accommodating with everything aspect of our stay. Leny went out of her way to ensure that we maximized our stay in comfort. She was detailed, patient and thorough. Leny, along with the other staff were full of energy, always smiling and helpful. Sailrock Resort is a must stay if you are looking for a quiet and tranquil place of rest and reconnection.
South Caicos is a beautiful island. Sail Rock seems to be deteriorating over the years. Some of the staff are not helpful at all. Don’t think it’s managed as a resort but more of a real estate development. They need a real hotel manager for it to get better. The food is mediocre at best and the resort has very little to do. We have been there before and it seems to be going downhill. Half the time if you ask staff for help with something and you seem to be inconveniencing them. The walk ways around the resort are all full of pot holes and need repair as does most everything else.

Reviewed Jun 28, 2022This property is very secluded. That for the most part is a good thing... but you are pretty much trapped at the resort with few options to get off the property. The resort prices are very VERY expensive. You only have two options for dining and the food is only so, so... Expect to spend 200 for dinner for two. I think they aspire to be a 5-star resort but they just don't have it all figured out. Staff for the most part were very friendly.

The room and resort was super nice, but the mosquitoes ruined it. We weren’t able to walk around or eat dinner at their restaurant because the mosquitoes were so bad. We were recommended to order room service because it was nothing they could do about mosquitoes. They even got into our room and we had to kill them all night.. we cut our stay there short.

Reviewed Sep 28, 2021This property is amazing. We stayed in Provo (main island) and South Caicos during our stay. We stayed at several 5-star locations and Sail Rock will always hold a special place in my heart. The staff was AMAZING. Some of the friendliest and most attentive people I have met at a hotel, and I've traveled A LOT. People complain about the seaweed, but this is normal now due to climate change and is only there a limited time. This is also on the Atlantic side, the Carribean side is too die for. Shallow, beautiful calm water and some of the best sunset views one can offer.
This is a newer resort and will be seeing loads of upgrades, but you can still expect a 5-star experience. The only thing I'd recommend them looking at is the food experience, however, with the knowledge that this is an extremely small island and still very young in terms of development, I was completely satisfied with everything.
If you're looking for a beautiful escape, this is the place you MUST go!

Reviewed Sep 15, 2021Hands down, the best vacation we have ever had! Sailrock Resort has ruined all of our future vacations because we don’t think that anything could ever be as fantastic and relaxing. Having access to two different beaches was amazing. Sitting on the wraparound deck at 9C was hypnotic due to the constant Atlantic ocean breeze. I looked down at my watch and saw my resting heart rate was 45, normally it's mid 50's. This place is the antidote to any stress. My wife cried because she was so happy. Every staff member is extremely friendly and helpful; they treat you like you are the only guests on the resort. Well, actually we were - which made this trip even more special. Sailrock is not your typical resort! You need a sense of adventure and an open mind to be able to take in all the beauty this resort has to offer. You most likely won’t have 200 people at the pool and another 200 on the beach on any given day. There will be no speedboat or Jet ski noise; just donkeys, birds, ocean, a great staff and you…their special guest! #noregrets #nostress #noworries #nocares #paradisefound!!
Thank you Anthony, Putra, Kubir, Kerra, Yasmine, Kurly, Ashley, Big Mike, Jerome, Nidup, Pema and Yosa (Forgive me if I misspelled anyone’s name or left anyone out). You are all engraved in our hearts and memories forever. We will never forget celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary with you all at your beautiful resort.

Very nice cove. The rooms are on the other side of island and a short complimentary buggy ride takes you to cove. The side where the rooms are have a beach but wasn’t usable as to all the sea grass this time of year (July august) the sea grass stunk so don’t waste the money on a “beach front” this time of year.
Food was amazing. Expensive and not much selection but was good. Not many other places to eat other then this resort without a $60 cab ride. This island is remote and not fully developed. So relaxing is the key thing to do. Drinks are expensive but kind of to be expected since it all is imported.
Again nice place, nice cove and water, not extream luxury place but was still nice to unwind and enjoy the cove and water.

Reviewed Jul 17, 2021My wife and I rented a ridge top villa with an ocean view. We were treated like VIP. Leny was amazing from the first day upon arrival to our departure.
My wife and I spent 7 days at Sailrock and did not have to leave for food because the food was amazing. The chefs are definitely top of the line and the meals were delicious.
Big Mike and Frances escorted my wife and I, to and from Jerechiam which was a private, secluded beach. Sailrock owns the property which is about 10 minutes from the main campus. Upon arrival they had canoes available for us to use.
Harvey and Earl were very accommodating during our times at the cove. The chefs always came out to make sure the meals met our expectations which it certainly did.
My wife and also spent time on Long Beach which is the Atlantic Ocean side. We were the only people on the beach. Sailrock did provide chairs and umbrellas. It was so tranquil with a nice windy breeze.
We also spent a great deal of time in the pool space in which the dinning area overlooked. Again we were the only ones in the pool which we loved because we wanted a week of quietness.
We will definitely be going back to Sailrock. We had a very relaxing and quiet time. All the staff were very accommodating, I wish I could name them all.

Reviewed Jun 19, 2021Definitely not what was advertised. Most of the staff was rude. Had to call/ask several times for final bill, pool cleaning, housekeeping, and more . Room service was always wrong or missing something ordered. There’s a tax, service fee, facility fee, delivery fee and you still need to tip for food -when you’re basically stranded on an island and that’s the only place you can get food.
The puddle jumper only runs twice a day and it may be a tiny plane from the 80s that smell of gasoline…had to sit in the airport for 4 hours because the plane comes at 830a or 430p only.
There were bugs everywhere..seems like more than a can of Deet should be given to guess. You also cannot leave anything uncovered or out for even a minute or it will be cover even in bugs.
If you like the ocean/beach near Provinciales stay there. You basically get sandy water you can’t walk, swim or see in that you have to be driven to on one side and non-usable beach on the other side.
Also the supposed private activities are offer but yet when you try book any of them you’re told to kindly reconsidered every other day via email before your trip -if you book them in advance.
The villas are far from private, the staff is always around, there’s a morning bulldozer to greet you each day, you’re sharing the beach with everyone and there’s only a few places to even sit on the “private beachfront” that’s supposed to come with the villas.

Reviewed Nov 30, 2019Sailrock is a place of splendid beauty. If you are looking for a loud, kid-filled, get away - Sailrock is not the place for you. If you want a quiet, peaceful, isolated retreat with staff members who have only your concerns in mind, Sailrock is your dream destination.
The property, staff and food were outstanding! If you’re looking for a VERY secluded island, this is it! We had the entire beach to ourselves most days. It actually felt as if you were stuck on a deserted island. Not much to do outside of the resort so I’d recommend 3-4 days MAX! If you and your loved one wanna feel like you’re the only two people left on the planet but with butler service, sailrock will deliver. We loved getting away from all the hustle and bustle. We had two major downfalls, the first was that we never received an email that told us there are only TWO island hoppers a day, one at 8am and another at 5pm. Our flight was at 11:30am and we didn’t expect to have to wait around. When we mentioned it to Leny, the manager, she said they did send the email and I verified that the email was correct but I unfortunately didn’t receive that email until I was connected to their WiFi and refreshed my inbox. So it was on my end that the email didn’t come through however, they didn’t care to accommodate us in anyway due to the miscommunication. Not a big deal but it was a bummer to start our vacation that way. Secondly, perhaps it was during the time we went, but the mosquitoes were out of control, we were there for two full days and used 4 cans of off bug spray which they provided to us. They said the mosquitoes were seasonal and due to the recent weather changes but it’s not typically buggy.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2019Sail Rock is an amazing property on South Caicos. The prop plane flight 30 minutes south of Providenciales was a first time adventure for us as well. The ocean side as well as the bay side of Sailrock is breathtaking. There are activities at the resort if you choose to enjoy them, however, our goal was relaxation, and we accomplished that. Our first day at Sailrock, we spent the day on the ocean side and were literally the only 2 people on the beach. You can walk about a mile in each direction on the beach as we did, and still saw nobody. If luxury and seclusion is what you’re interested in for a vacation, Sailrock is the perfect getaway.
Also, the service at Sailrock is outstanding as well. Ateba and our waiter Lalu went above and beyond to make sure our trip was 5 Star!

Reviewed Apr 20, 2019Sailrock has some positives and many negatives depending on your point of view. The positives are amazing views from your room, clean modern rooms that are well appointed, wonderful deck and patio chairs. Good food only at the bay beach bar. It is the best food on property in our opinion.
Negatives - bay beach is absolutely beautiful to look at and take pictures , but that’s where it ends. They don’t tell you there at jelly fish everywhere !!!!
The bay was made by sailrock so the soft white sand quickly turns into mud about 20’ feet out even though it’s shallow for miles you wouldn’t want to walk in it because of the mud and jelly fish.
The Atlantic side beach is very rough which they don’t tell you it has a decent rip current that could drag you out. The tractor they use to clean that beach was broken during our stay so it was always full of seaweed which was disappointing
FOOD- food for us was a major negative especially since we read it was so great. small portions that are bland and extremely overpriced. The service at sailrock is an issue. The staff aren’t local people they are imported from other countries which we found odd and offensive since they do not support the local economy. Many of their staff are from Middle East and Asia and don’t speak English very well. Some of them are down right rude. They lost our luggage the day we checked out, never delivered our dinner one night etc..for $800 a night it’s joke. The place is all show but doesn't ever deliver !!!

If you asked.. they made it happen. The new manager Marvin was greeting us every morning asking what else they could do to make our stay better! The staff is great to joke with and very personablel. We had lots of fun with them. Our stay could not have been better!!! From the minute we landed to the second we left was complete top notch service. The rooms where absolutely mind blowing with out door showers and soak tubs to your own private pool. Both the villa and condo have great views of sunrise and sunsets. pool and gym open 24 hrs!!! The place is very safe and no crime or drug problems like some islands have, so leaving your sliding deck door open all night to hear the ocean waves is a must! walk the beach and have it all to yourself most of the time or maybe see one other couple. no reason to get up early and run to the beach for a chair, they have plenty and they never get full at all. the island where the resort is at is only about 1/2 mile wide and you have a beach on both side to enjoy some small waves or the other side for calm smooth water.
make sure you get a massage, it s the best massage we every had!
We will be back next year for our one year anniversary!
