The hot tub was really nice- both of them were, actually!

The late night menu was ok, otherwise we did not eat in property. We had two main concerns- the upgraded room we paid extra for had a balcony that was not private to us but visually shared with the people next door, and we could hear guests above us and next to us all night, so no one slept well.

The most that can be improved on quickly is cleanliness, my pillow had dark hairs on it, the headboard of the bed had greasy hair stains from rubbing against it, windows were filled with spiderwebs and flies, outdoor patio infested with spiders which made it uncomfortable to spend time there with the view (they descended upon us from the roof too...). Multiple bathroom fixtures were loose/failing, toilet paper holder became a whirligig, one of the shower handles was so loose it was hard to find the temperature sweet spot, and worst was the bathroom pocket door was off-balance so it would stay open and the lock itself was extremely loose so it wouldn't close where we had to use plastic utensils to tighten screws enough to close. We were in a suite on the furthest end of the hotel and our internet was atrocious. Multiple disconnects, slow when connected. Don't rely of the connection in the room at all, especially if you are working away. Needs much improvement. Other less impressives were that the AC unit was very loud and annoying, the door and screen to the balcony were impressively difficult to open and close and the trash bins are extremely small so as it seems they are telling you not to throw anything away as they don't want to deal with it. The Riverside restaurant was nice, though not up to the price. The service was excellent and they have a thought out menu. For our main courses, they were the steak & salmon. Steak was fantastic but the salmon was lacking seasoning and surprisingly fishy. Our server did a great job attending to our needs timely. If you are staying at the hotel the layout of everything is a bit confusing, you can find yourself in the banquet area or lounge (not part of the actual restaurant bar) easily. I think they need to do a better job defining spaces. The outside pool/spa were quite nice with a great view. I did find myself having to refill the water in the adjacent gym area so we could get fresh water which was annoying as the previous day it was empty, and those jugs are not light... This place has a lot of potential, but also shows blatant complacency. Be and do better and maybe I'll go again and suggest this location to others for the price. I believe this place can do it.

Terrific location, staff and amenities. Pool overlooks the Columbia River. Serene location with walking access to food, snacks, and Starbucks.

The location is nice. We had a river view ground floor room, the room was a bit dated, smelled very strongly of dog. Air conditioner did not work appropriately. The screen door did not work, constantly sticking or coming off the track. Front desk was not very responsive, said they would escalate my issues to their oncoming supervisor but we never received a response. The pool was okay, the restaurant I heard was not great from other members of my party so I did not try it. Overall, I feel my experience was such as issue due to the smell of the room, it really set the tone but not all rooms are like that and it is a nice property.

Super location right on the river with a pool that our kids loved. Clean rooms and bathrooms and we arrived late so made use of the room service which was of a good standard. Hotel bar was also welcoming and served us well.

Not much. It's a bit dated on the interiors but you can see that from the photos and to have the knowledge of it being a clean and comfortable stay we didn't mind.

Requested rollaway. Horrible. Super thin mattress couldn’t lay down with cross bars poking through. Put it outside room without using. Let desk know when checked out. Said they’d make a note, but didn’t take charge off bill. Was only $30, but still…

Very good restaurant/lounge choices

Loved this location! After a day exploring the Hood River Fruit Loop, this was a nice spot to spend the night. Beautifully situated on the Columbia River with their pool and restaurant looking out over the river. Views were amazing and the staff was excellent. We enjoyed walking along the river as well.

The resort was beautiful! It was located in the perfect spot by the river. We were able to easily drive to Washington and wineries in Oregon. It had all the accommodations of a perfect visit. Nice pool area, outside seating by the River, comfortable bed and room. The restaurant food was five star. I had the seasonal salmon over mixed vegetables. We also ate breakfast - excellent choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. I recommend a balcony room facing the river. Quite a beautiful way to wake up or end the day.

We are staying at the Best Western right now, and pretty disappointed with our experience so far. Booked a river view executive room to try and escape the freeway noise, but we are right at the end of the hotel still next to the freeway. Incredibly loud. Also, the AC situation is a joke. Have the equivalent of a window AC in our 3rd floor room, and it doesn't cool much. Followed the instructions on the unit and it runs for 2 minutes and shuts off. Nice and cool in the hallways, but room is a sauna. And between the temp outside and the road noise can't open the balcony to cool it off. I hope the forecast is right, ot I am not sleeping for 3 nights. Restaurant and front desk staff have been pleasant. And our view is phenomenal. But it can't fix the physical plant issues.

Great location with beautiful surroundings right on the river. While there aren’t many dining options nearby, the riverside bar and restaurant offered excellent food. The atmosphere was lively during our stay, with several wedding parties taking place, but the staff handled the busy environment seamlessly and provided outstanding service throughout.

The restaurant menu is fairly limited, but the quality of the food is outstanding—everything we tried was excellent. The interior-facing rooms that don’t overlook the water felt a bit small and somewhat dated, though they were clean and well maintained. One area for improvement would be the room photos on the website, as they didn’t accurately reflect the rooms we were assigned. Having more representative images available would have helped us make a more informed choice or consider upgrading to a different room type.

This hotel is right off the highway in a perfect location to explore the Columbia River Gorge, the fruit loop, and Mt Hood. The front of the hotel faces the parking lot and the back faces the river. There is a walking path along the river that takes you to the marina. The hotel restaurant has gorgeous views of the river and you can sit inside or outside. There is also a guest laundry on site that is very convenient.

only stayed 1 night and wish we'd stayed longer as didn't make use of the pool or had chance to explore Hood River more. we had a king room with balcony overlooking the river and enjoyed watching the bridge traffic as well as the views across the river. it was more expensive but felt it was worth it. the hotel feels very new and modern and we had a large room which was very clean and comfortable. it had no safe but was otherwise well equipped with coffee maker, fridge etc. the bar and restaurant seemed very popular on the evening although we walked into town for something to eat (a good trail runs from the hotel along the waterfront and into downtown). Parking was free and although a little out of town, the location worked well for us - using the trail as mentioned above. it is right next to a gas station, and fast foods options too. we got a voucher to use in the restaurant rather than an included breakfast - we decided to use it on breakfast and we were very impressed with the choice, service and quality of food we had. Yes - the voucher didn't cover the full cost but it was definitely a step up from the 'included breakfasts' at many chain hotels. Would definitely recommend when in the area and if you can, do upgrade to a balcony room overlooking the river.

This facility is top notch. We attended a conference and honestly the food was really good. The service was amazing. The staff super friendly. Beautiful view of the Columbia Gorge. Nice walking path behind the hotel. Starbucks in walking distance. Pool area looked nice. Get a riverfront room - it's worth the extra cost.

We booked a river-view room with a balcony through the website, but upon arrival we were initially assigned a room with only a partial view through a window. Naturally, we were disappointed. However, the staff handled the situation exceptionally well. They listened to our concerns and quickly moved us to a much better room that exceeded our expectations. We truly appreciated their willingness to make things right, and it completely changed our experience. The service went above and beyond throughout our stay. When one of us had a minor scrape, the staff even provided bandages, which was incredibly thoughtful and convenient. We also appreciated the modern in-room amenities. Unlike many hotels that still only offer USB-A ports, this property included USB-C charging ports, making it much easier to charge newer devices. While the initial room assignment was frustrating, the outstanding customer service, thoughtful touches, and updated amenities turned our stay into a very positive experience.

Nice hotel in Hood River with relatively large property, outdoor pool, hot tub, and riverfront views. The rooms were nice and clean, but a bit dated. If staying in the East Wing, the only floors with balconies facing the river are on the first and third floor, so be aware if you want an outdoor space. Attached restaurant was pretty good and we ate here several times. Overall nice hotel and would stay here again if in the area.

Overall property was very nice, beautiful riverside property. Our room didn't have a view, but there were plenty of spots to enjoy the river view.

Die Klimaanlage war alt, innen staubig, hat geklappert und eine schlechte Leistung. Auf die Terrasse durfte man nur mit Restaurantbesuch. Auch nicht zur Happy Hour. Pool sehr laut. Kinder halten sich nicht an die Poolregeln. Eltern interessiert das nicht. Gut waren die freien Parkplätze.

Unangemessener Preis. Für weniger als die Hälfte bekommt man bessere Hotels - Frühstück inklusive. Und viel leiser.

Grounds are beautiful, Room was large, and the bar/restaurant was delicious! The staff was also really helpful about showing us where we could sit with our dog, and even gave him treats! They aren't just dog friendly, they really go above and beyond!

I should have booked a river view room! They look gorgeous! Also some parking spaces were a little small. but overall not a dealbreaker, especially when parking was free.

I've ended up staying in this hotel twice in the span of about a month this spring while attending a couple of family events in Hood River and the surrounding area. Both stays have been great! The first time, I actually got upgraded to a better room than what I originally booked, which was a nice surprise. The second time, I was able to check in early, despite arriving nearly 3 hours before the scheduled check-in time. Staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious, though on both occasions, I did find the beds pretty uncomfortable (obviously mattress firmness is all based on personal preference). During both stays, I ate at the on-site restaurant, once for dinner and once for breakfast. The hotel doesn't offer a free breakfast, but you do get vouchers to use at the restaurant. Perhaps my favorite amenity was the fitness center and sauna. As a gym rat, I'm used to hotel gyms not having much to offer, but I was pleasantly surprised by the fitness center here. I had a great early-morning workout during both stays and also made use of the sauna. I didn't use the pool at all, but the entire pool/hot tub area is very nice, and the pool is heated, so I imagine it would be pleasant even when the weather is chilly. This hotel seems to cater a lot to business; there are multiple conference/meeting rooms, and there are always lots of corporate vehicles in the parking lot. I was chatting with another guest in the sauna one morning and he said he always chooses to stay at this hotel while traveling for business, mostly because he also loves the fitness center offerings. I know this hotel's rates get pretty crazy in the peak summer season (as most do) but it was nice getting a couple of very reasonable deals while traveling in March and April. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

This BW+ is a true cut above. The property is in a spectacular setting right on the river. Our room with a balcony on the river was awesome (highly recommend). The room was clean, large, well-appointed and comfortable - complete with robe, house slippers and umbrella. While this is not the Ritz, it is very, very nice. The restaurant is an added benefit. We had dinner there and our meals were delicious. We would for sure stay here again.

Check in was a little slow and the room was a tad small, but the room was also clean, comfortable and modern. We had an executive room with a balcony overlooking the river, which was really nice. Also liked the $10 off per adult coupon they gave us for the restaurant and lounge.

You cannot beat the river view from this hotel. It is gorgeous and easy to wander on the walkway. We love that this hotel is dog friendly and the staff were very welcoming. We were a bit put off by the cigarette butts left on our patio at a non-smoking hotel, but that speaks to guests who stay here as well. The room was comfortable, if a tiny bit dates and in need of some attention. The location is perfect and we would stay here again for sure.

Best Western Plus in Hood River is one of my favorites places. Its location is close to town, and easily accessible to other Hood River favorites such as town shopping, watching wind surfers, and driving the Fruit Loop. I book a river view with balcony and with great weather, it is well worth it! I have also stayed in a room that faces the parking lot during the colder climates and I get a good nights sleep. I have stayed in this motel several times and I always feel comfortable. Riverside restaurant is located on the premises and the staff there are excellent. I always stay at this Best Western when I’m in Hood River and I highly recommend.

We are repeat visitors. The facility and location are great for a quick getaway. We had a nice room on the 3rd floor with a small balcony and view of the bridge and the river. The room credit for use in the restaurant is a great deal!

While we had Keurig machine in our room, coffee available in the lobby for early risers would be nice.

Everything was clean, the room was very well equipped - including pool towels, bath robes and slippers. There were adequate plug points for all our electronics, night light in the bathroom, and other small thoughtful touches.

Nice location on the hood river. Older hotel needs some updating. Plenty of parking and nice paths to walk next to the river.

Location and excellent restaurant

So noisy with elevated interstate almost on top of us in the tight Columbia River Gorge.

The location and river pathway were excellent and very accessible, with ample parking available. Staff were outstanding—Norma was polite and helpful during our room transfer, and Erik at the lobby was exceptionally accommodating, proactively assisting with toiletries and providing a food voucher that made the Riverside restaurant a great value. The sauna, river walk, and overall service made the stay relaxing and enjoyable.

The lobby entrance area was confusing at first, with frequent drop-off and pick-up traffic causing congestion. Rooms near the pool area can be noisy since the hallway is heavily used by guests going to the pool and sauna, and the carpet there appeared muddy due to wet foot traffic. We also experienced an A/C issue in the first room, and the pool was not very warm in the evening.

Location of the hotel is right on the water. Clean rooms, nice workout facilities with heated spa and pool. The walk path along the river is unbeatable for both humans and dogs!

The bed was super comfortable. The view of the Columbia River from the room was wonderful with all its birds, little diving ducks and some kind of elegant small geese. You can watch it for hours. The amount of freight going through the Gorge is impressive; you can see miles of trains on the Washington side, but you cannot hear them. We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel and each meal was delicious. The dining room is very comfortable and the view of the river, and the hills beyond it, is very nice. All the windows are sparkling clean I walked along a trail that went under the green bridge; you can walk all the way into town from there. I very much enjoyed not having to get in the car to go anywhere. All the staff were polite and pleasant and the room was very clean.
