Reviewed Apr 10, 2025Hotellet var obemannat vid ankomst. Man fick ringa och gå till ett annat hotell ca 2-250 m. Där serverades även frukost. Rummet var bra men det luktade avlopp på toaletten. Fräscht i övrigt. WiFi fungerade inte.

Reviewed Mar 17, 2025Skanörs Gästgifvaregård, ett mysigt och charmigt ställe. Det var inga problem att behöva gå till andra ställen för incheckning, frukost eller annat – allt fungerade smidigt. Rummet skulle dock behöva en uppfräschning. TV:n var väldigt liten, badrummet levde inte upp till modern standard, och tvålhållarna satt löst. Dessutom var garderobstången täckt av ett tjockt lager damm, vilket drog ner intrycket. Sammanfattningsvis ett trevligt ställe, men rummen skulle må bra av lite extra omtanke och uppdateringar.

Reviewed Oct 7, 2024We were housed in a sister hotel down the street which was not quite what was expected. This sister hotel was also undergoing renovations so our windows were sealed closed with plastic and we couldn’t get any air flow. Breakfast was at the main hotel as listed here, and was the best we had in Sweden. The main building looked gorgeous (and dinner was amazing), I just feel a little duped about the accomodations and would have appreciated a discount for being in a literal construction zone.

Reviewed Jun 21, 2024We were traveling by bicycle and were able to store our bikes overnight in the back patio. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast which was served at the main hotel building was fantastic and had gluten-free options.
We were basically on our own in the hotel building. The TV downstairs did not work (we wanted to watch the Euro as a group and ended up in one of the rooms). The rooms are comfortable but could use some tlc, to fix the broken hangers, soap dispensers and fans.

Reviewed Dec 20, 2023Classic old beautiful structure renovated to be completely modern and comfortable. Kind and helpful staff, fantastic location, everything clean as a whistle. They also have a scrumptious traditional Swedish Christmas smorgasbord.
It was about 20 minutes off the E20 highway for me but well worth the easy extra drive.

Reviewed Sep 21, 2023Loved this little hotel, the room was bright and large, clean, and nice atmosphere for the hotel and its attached restaurant. Breakfast was part of the price and it was excellent. The price we paid for the room was very good. Staff helped us store luggage as we arrived far too early (in fact, they let us check into our room by midday) and left far to late for regular checkin/out. Loved the location.
Floor in shower can be slippery, so a non-slip mat would be useful.

This was a very important travel for me thru beautiful memories, so thank u once again for this opportunity.

No major complaints, some very minor issues. One light in the bathroom was hanging on it's cord, the other one did not work. Shower door does not protect from water splashing all around the bathroom, no place next to a sink to hang a towel.

Reviewed Aug 11, 2023It’s a classical and special spot for food, staying overnight and comfort in SW Skåne. The location close to the sea and with the possibility of crossing the meadows with the rich bird life on boardwalks in between the village and the sandy shores is unique in Sweden. The local, traditional cuisine is famous.
One breakfast was not served in at Skanörs Gästis but in a nearby facility with much less charm and much more crowded conditions.

Reviewed Mar 20, 2023Everything was just great. The location is great, close to the sea - to have a morning walk. The buffet breakfast (served separately) was very delicious. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
It can be a little problematic to contact the property for a person that speaks no Swedish, due to the phone answering service is in Swedish only. The magic here is to unshuffle what's the answering service tells you to get to a physical person at the reception (the person was very much helpful though). The magic numbers are 3 and 1.

Cheated on the breakfast. Personnel informed breakfast will be severed from 7am at sister hotel “Spelabäcken” and gave wrong directions to reach this hotel. Early next morning we finally found “Spelabäcken” by outselves, just to find it as closed as the reception at “Skanörs Gästgifvaregård”. No one to call, no breakfast, NOT coming back.

Reviewed May 25, 2021Slitna rum med, lite för hård säng och allt för få el uttag om man ska koppla upp sig och arbeta/ladda telefon etc. Frukost på annat hotell vilket var bra frukost men att behöva ta sig iväg på morgon blev ett minus och dessutom öppnade kl 08 vilket var försent. Restaurangen mycket trevligt o bra service !

Reviewed Jun 30, 2020Ingen reception stod det o det är Ok men låst o ingen personal där när vi skulle checka in kl 15 annan gäst lyckades vid 15.30 få tag på någon på hotell Gässlingen som kontaktade kocken på gästgiveriet och han lämnade ut nycklar till oss så vi fick tillgång till rummet. Ingen info om att frukosten serverades på hotell Gässlingen det fick vi själva räkna ut när alla dörrar var låsta på morgonen.

Reviewed Feb 8, 2020Hotellet var lätt att hitta med parkering precis utanför. Rummet var trevligt beläget på andra våningen. Sängarna bekväma och mycket fräscht bäddade. På första våningen låg gästgiveriets restaurang som såg väldigt trevlig ut men som vi inte nyttjade. Frukosten serverades på Hotell Gässlingen som låg ett par hundra meter bort.

Vi blev modtaget med smil og venlighed. værelset var hyggeligt og rent. der manglede ikke noget. efter en dejlig middag i restauranten, med fantastisk service, god mad og gode vine. sov vi en uforstyrret nat i gode senge. Morgen maden blev serveret på det meget nærliggende hotel Gässlingen, gå afstand .Der manglede bestemt heller ikke noget, der var smil, service og fantastisk morgenmad. Selve byen var også utroligt hyggelig, som at komme ind i en anden tidslomme. Vi kan helt klart anbefale det og kommer helt sikkert selv tilbage dertil.

Reviewed Oct 14, 2019Trevligt hotell o trevlig personal. Många åt släktmiddagar i restaurangen när vi var där. Jag valde gris rakt igenom och det var alldeles utmärkt. Hjorten var seg och fisken sisådär. De hade bytt kock o ny meny. Rummet var stort och utmärkt men frukosten fick man inta i ett annat hotell 7 minuters promenad invid kyrkan. Vi skulle skåda fågelflyttning men stormen gjorde detta omöjligt. De låg och tryckte i buskarna. Fantastiskt vacker plats att besöka. Vi njöt av vad hav och strand hade att erbjuda några stormiga dagar. Fina utflyktsmål fanns i närheten.

Arriving late after a long flight with many delays, we were warmly greeted by two staff members who had stayed there to make sure we could get into the hotel. We hadn't had a chance to eat because of the circumstances and asked if there were any grocery stores or restaurants still open... there weren't. As we were preparing to go to sleep we answered a knock on the door and there they were....the two women who had greeted us with a tray of bread, cheese and grout, etc...In the all the years of traveling this was the first time I have ever experienced this level of kindness. The hotel accommodations we're quite nice, better than expected for what we paid for the room.... and the buffet breakfast at the sister hotel a short walk from the hotel was fabulous.... gorgeous setting too. We wish we had been able to stay longer to dine at the hotel restaurant as it looked like a really lovely place to eat. Great location in a charming town with magnificent church and graveyard nearby on the sea. We'll worth the drive from Malmo.

Reviewed Apr 24, 2019Varmesystemet på værelset fungerede ikke. Personalet var åbenbart klar over dette og forsøgte at løse problemet med en elektrisk ovn. Den larmede og gav en meget dårlig nattesøvn. Da problemet var kendt, kunne man have oplyst os om det i forvejen i stedet for at lade os gå i fælden. I restauranten bad vi om en pærebrændevin, men fik uden videre en Xanté, som kun svagt minder om en pærebrændevin. .
