Best Western Plus Eastgate Inn & Suites

Ok

Great breakfast.

All good

Shower was mediocre at best - poor pressure. Front desk did not have change to use laundry facilities.

Handy for the town.

Pet-friendly

We enjoyed our stay including the pool and breakfast

The waterslide is great for lil kiddos, the selling feature for sure. The staff were extremely hard to understand. Werent helpful in offering suggestions of parks, where places were located, dining etc. They couldnt be bothered to tell me on check in where my room was. The sheets hadnt been changed since last guest. Very noisy, guests dogs barking, room close to staff areas and constant carts were rolling by. At 1101 am the phone rang "reminding me check out was 11". All in all not great experience and dont think worth $260

Great breakfast! Will stay again!

The staff was very welcoming and facility kept nice and clean. Surprisingly quiet given how close to a main road it is. I would definitely stay here again. Great job.

I can't believe that I can't change the cleanliness from 5 stars to one. This was the most discusting stay in all of our stays in the Best Western hotels we stayed. We had 2 rooms that where bad. The 1st looked like it had it had old blood on the matress. The second we cleaned ourselves as we come prepared. I can not and don't want give all the details, because I don't want to gross anyone out. Today when we went for breakfast the cleaner asked if they could get into our room to get the bed sheets and towels out while where gone. I reluctantly agreed, having all our suitcases in there. Thinking about that now, it's kind of invating my privacy. The supervisor for the cleaning staff came after and apologized for our experience. I think the management and staff should all take drive out to Medicine Hat and take a lesson from the manager and staff at the Best Western Premium. So cleanliness is a great big 1 star and staff I give reluctantly 2 stars. Peter and Celeste

Great room, great pool. Room very clean and big.

Great service and the rooom was spacious and very clean. Nice kitchen!

Was very clear, kids loved pool, friendly staff great breakfast

Always consistently clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff. One suggestion - it would be great to have a picnic table or outside sitting area in the summer. Even to be able to take a chair from the pool area outside to sit in the morning sun. That’s it. Thanks.

Bed was comfy, breakfast was good, kids enjoyed the pool, staff were being trained and check in was a little rough but everything was worked out in the end.

Room was large and comfortable. Great beds! Pool was fun (for son and husband) including hot tub. Only downside was breakfast. I suppose for a chain hotel, it was on par, but still disappointing. The “omelette” was hard, the waffles cold, and the pastries not tasty. The tea, juice, and yougurt (containers) were fine. But the whole thing was on paper plates with plastic cutlery.

Good breakfast options, nice and quiet hotel and the area is quiet! Beds are comfy and the staff are excellent no problem's at check in

Our family has stayed here many times over the years. We liked the main floor room renovations, Always a good place to stay.

Was a great experience. Breakfast was great!

I loved the coffee machine in the front. I was not a fan of the breakfast. The hashbrowns were hot, the waffles were cold. The sausage had pink in the middle.

We had a great stay at this hotel - unfortunately only for a single night. It was a very welcoming experience right from the start, with very friendly when helpful staff, a spacious and comfortable room, and refreshing pool. Overall I would certainly recommend staying here.

Clean quiet and comfortable...

Good

Friendly staff and clean room. Conveniently located.

I am a little concerned about this hotel, traffic noise at 7:00 AM. The staff were wonderful & very helpful, We both have to wear CPAP masks & there was only 1 plug-in available. I went to the front desk to see if they had an extension cord & they did. We were very happy they could help Us out. Thanks for your gracious hospitality. We will be staying at Best Westerns for the rest of our journeys.

Good breakfast. Rooms need updates. Staff friendly and helpful. Not worth the cost. Other hotels newer and less expensive.

Cx

Staff here are really nice. Only drawback for us was the ice machine right outside our door. Got alot of use first thing in the morning otherwise it’s good. Breakfast is nice too. Lots of options.

Great breakfast. Clean. Nice pool. Friendly staff

Both of our queen beds had broken bed frames. One was still usable, but the other was not. They weren’t able to switch our room due to bookings, so they gave us a cot for our toddler for the first night. Maintenance was able to fix it the next day. The floor in our room was pretty gross the whole time, despite housekeeping visits. The staff was lovely and super helpful. Breakfast was good, and our toddler loved the pool and waterside! It was unfortunate though that the hot tub was closed for maintenance.

I stayed at this hotel for two (2) nights. My room was huge, and it got cleaned daily. My bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked well. This room’s television and its wi-fi only sometimes worked for me. This hotel was quiet and I felt safe. There was a large parking lot outside of this hotel. This hotel’s workers were very friendly. Highway-1 (Victoria Avenue) and an abundance of stores and restaurants were very close to this hotel. I liked my workouts at this hotel’s gym. This hotel’s pool had a waterslide, and while this pool was nice and while it was warm, it was very rambunctious in it, since there were many children who occupied this pool. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for two (2) of the days that I stayed here, and I did not get any prior notice of this change. Likewise, the hot tub was completely out of service, and I chose this hotel in part due to its possession of a hot tub. The breakfast was great, and this hotel had everything from potatoes, to omelettes, to English muffins, to fruit, to muffins. Had the pool and the hot tub been in operation and/or had I gotten adequate notice of their closures, I would have given this hotel five (5) stars.

Close to park and restaurants

Na

The bad: Hot tub was not operating. Beds were rockhard. Found pills in the floor in our room. The good: Staff was friendly and breakfast was ok with a good selection.

Good

Very clean . The housekeeping staff were all very very good . I noticed the amount of staff was much higher than a lot of hotels including the housekeeping. Kitchen staff and front desk . Excellent. Breakfast was very good and a great selection . Loved the pool water slide . The custom coffee machine in lobby was a very nice touch as I love my coffee cappuccino. We stayed 3 nights and had 3 rooms for our whole family .

This hotel has never fail to meet expectations. Free breakfast has lots of options.Lots of dinning and shopping close by.

We regularly stay at this hotel when we're headed east. We have a small dog and being able to access outside easily is definitely helpful. Staff are always friendly and helpful.

Front

friendly staff. quiet. good for families

This hotel is clean and has many amenities including an awesome pool with a waterslide. It could use some updating as it does feel like a bit of an older hotel. Breakfast is included which is nice but it is your average hotel breakfast, nothing special. Parking lot can get a bit congested, but hotel is in an area that is close to other restaurants and stores. Overall, staff is nice and would stay again.

Nice room. Friendly staff. Good Location.

Friendly service.

Not impressed with the room. Had bugs coming out of the bathroom shower and sink faucets. For the money we spent on this room, you’d think it would be clean. Very disappointed.

It was noisy at all times people stomping and slaving doors at all hours of the night. I booked a room with a couch and the front desk said gytejs.com mislead me to get more money. I asked what places to eat is there and they would only tell me one place and said there are others over there this was the worst service I've ever had at any hotel

The AC unit was quirky you would either be hot or very cold. Was unable to get an comfortable room temp during our stay. Location was good and staff were friendly.

Go

I was very disappointed that the hot tub and pool were closed for the duration of our stay. The major reason we booked this hotel was the pool and hot tub. I didn’t feel like the staff thought it was important but it was very important to us. The condition of the bathroom could have been better, the sink was clogged and the tub drain is rusty.

Room was spacious, beds were comfortable, but I wasn't happy with the breakfast, no pancakes, same type of potatoe each morning, but coffee was very good, lots of other types of food was available

We chose this hotel specifically for our granddaughter to use the pool and water slide. Disappointed that there was no prior notice that the pool is closed. After a week of evacuating from our home due to wildfires, we were looking forward to a fun time together. Otherwise the hotel is fine. Room was nice and the a good breakfast was provided.

Not enough parking spots.

I found the staff to be exceedingly polite, efficient and friendly

All great

The kids loved the pool and slide.

Really good room

Not as nice as the pics

Smoming area

The gentleman who checked us in had superb customer service and the breakfast lady was kind

Location, property, pool, hot tub, breakfast were great. No good was the bathroom in our room hair in bath tub and the tub drain was slow with hair in it and the tub taps were not cleaned. Rest of room was ok

Staff were kind and pleasant

Exactly as expected

The stay was good , the staff were really friendly and accommodating .

Our room was really spacious and clean. Lots of restaurants surrounding within walking distance. The pool was great, kids spent lots of time swimming. Easy check in and check out.

Change your furnitures like the tables, bed frame, etc,

Friendly and expert check in, clean room!

Very clean and staff kind and friendly! Room was spacious however the blackout blinds were not great and my son was up ea h morning at 6 due to the light in room!

Close to an ev charger. Staff was welcoming , check in was fast. Room is clean

Water to bathroom sink took a long time to get warm.

Friendly helpful and clean

The front desk staff, Lane, was super nice. He made us feel welcome. He was very respectful and friendly. Thank you Lane.

Terrible kids running around the upper level at night and in the am and tb wouldnt connect to internet

Great stay. Would do it again. Hot breakfast was good & fresh fruit, muffins, were good as well. Only thing missing was a hair dryer but will pack one next time. All the handicapped parking was full so it would be nice if there was more of that.

It was easy to get to and easy parking.

Our room had a weird sour smell. The staff was courteous and provided us a new room to stay in.

Front of hotel was littered with cigarette butts. Not a good look

Great!

Best hotel in budget category

Good stay

As always a very nice stay.

It was a great experience as always

The property is billed as nonsmoking but unfortunately we could smell stale smoke. I suppose that it cannot be avoided.

The service was top notch.

Clean. Safe. Good location.

It worked for us

Great

All staff were extremely friendly from the front desk staff to the maintenance man. It was bitterly cold and they offered cords to plug in vehicles. Excellent service!!

Good overall property but starting to show its age with wear and tear in the rooms.

Was a good place for the family with the waterslide.

Property was clean, close to malls, easy to travel.

Was a great stay. Nice and clean

Decent place - comfy and clean beds. Rooms (walls and furniture) are ‘worn’ and beat up

Lots of parking, friendly staff

Quite

Honestly, chose this for location and amenities. I requested an early check-in and the front staff were completely acommodating. However, when I arrived there was a sign stating the pool and hot tub were out of service, literally the one thing I really wanted. The receptionst stated "well you should have asked", not happy. Then my water was lukewarm for showering. For the cost of stay, beyond disappointed, will definitely choose another play next time.

It was a very cold weekend. We arrived at 4pm to check in. Our room was only 8C. The hallway on the second floor was also very cold. Fortunately we were able to crank up the heat and leave for a supper reservation. Fire alarm went off at 1:30 am. My husband went to check at front desk. No fire that they were aware of, but water sprinkler line burst in the front entrance setting off the fire alarm. Didn’t get much rest. Left next morning at 9am.

Good location. Parking was ok. Close to food...

Breakfast made me and my family sick
