Clarance Hotel Lille

This is an attractive property that needs more care to maintain the facilities our room had stained carpeting and we had to park offsite because they were hosting a landriver test driving event There were limited bar hours so we could not have a coffee or tea in the afternoon Overall a reasonable value but less posh than we expected

The hotel has the best and most helpful front of house staff we have ever come across. We had some issues we needed to sort out and they assisted greatly. We are so grateful to Dylan, Gabriel and David. Thank you! Loved the vibe of the hotel in its classic French style. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Outstandingly beautiful hotel in a perfect location off the main square of Lille.

Is a beautiful hotel with great features, I had room no 20 which is outside the courtyard.That particular room is very noisy due to heavy entry door and noise from bar , kitchen and workers. Curtains do not fit properly so outside lighting shines through. Lovely hotel but needs some thought if called a 5star.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Clarance Hotel, the staff were all friendly and helpful and the property has a great deal of traditional charm. It’s very walkable to the cobblestoned old town with lots of dining options and lovely little shops.

It was quiet and helpful. The staff was supreme especially Dylan.

Breakfest could be with more options to chose, just couple of omplets, and sweet croisants... poor

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel. fantastic location, lovely room and such helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast in the beautiful garden is a must, and what a choice there was.All freshly prepared at the hotel, and beautifully presented. I would without hesitation, recommend this hotel, and hope to return.

Beautiful property in Lille. The room was spacious and inviting, while the staff were fantastic and very helpful. Breakfasts were lovely, and dinner at the restaurant was outstanding. A great stay in a lovely city.

Very disappointing stay. The building is beautiful, but the structure has not been renovated so one hears any move from your neighbour which results in sleepless nights (confirmed by 2 co-travellers). The first breakfast was a disaster, it felt like an event place run by a stagiaire and not a Relais Chateau. Save your money and go to Novotel instead.

Great stay. Convenient location. Friendly and helpful staff

One of the top hotels I have stayed at for service. What a great team. Both in terms of dining and housekeeping but also just general presence and feeling that I could ask for anything and would be taken care of.

The staff were lovely, but we were not happy that there was no bar at all, no lounge to sit in and no restauraunt on the day of our arrival. Breakfast left a little to be desired. Very basic

I strongly recommend this hotel, it is beautiful, very clean, great staff service and great location.

Unfortunately it was hotter than expected and the room has no air conditioning..not their fault and they tried to assist . Also not having the restaurant fully open was not great but there were dining options out of the property. We parked at the hotel and had a slight misunderstanding of costs but staff were obliging to rectify this. We did have a very nice stay… thank you.

The staff were amazing - very helpful and super friendly. But this is no way a five star hotel on any stretch of the imagination. The grounds are small but pretty courtyard at the back although this was not freely accessible. Our “junior suite” was very small and dark and did not like the set up. Felt very cramped and claustrophobic. There was nowhere to sit down and have a drink after a day out (the courtyard was not accessible except for breakfast and dinner). Great location though.

Horrible hotel. No air conditioning, rooms very poorly insulated from the noise and the heat. If they're not going to have AC at least they should make sure they change the bedding to provide bed clothes that are appropriate for the temperature. The duvet was a winter duvet and made us sweat like crazy. On top of that the restaurant staff was moving restaurant furniture until 1am completely preventing us from sleeping. I had never seen that in my life. Way too much carpet in the hotel and a very tacky decoration. We had booked 2 nights and we left after the first night. Given our horrible experience we thought they'd obviously refund the second night. But they refused... unbelievable

What a lovely well ran place - would recommend and would happily return to this place

The service is perfect. My wife and I enjoyed very much the dinner at the La Table at the Hotel for two nights. The Chef specially arranged different dishes in the second night dinner.

This lovely hotel is in a restored 18th-century building that is secluded enough to be quiet, but just steps away from the activity and restaurants of Old Town. I can’t say I loved the decor of my room – – a little too heavy on the orange for my taste – – but it was a plush, luxurious place to stay and the staff was unfeelingly pleasant. I wished I could have stayed longer than just one night.

Really loved this Hotel , great room and vibe to this place , a little annoyed that we were asked to leave the key to my car at reception ! as we had parked in a designated bay in front of the hotel I wondered why ? , on returning to my car it had been moved facing the other way but in the same spot ! I know it sounds a bit trivial , but it’s a very high value car and I’m not happy others moving it for no reason I could see !!

Clearance Hotel is charming with a beautiful garden. All of the staff we really friendly and courteous. We also enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the garden. We felt relaxed and peaceful.

Clarance Hotel is a lovely boutique and luxury hotel, in a quiet part of Lille - old town. You can walk to the Grand Place in less than 10 minutes, and the neighbourhood is full of local quality restaurants. In addition, the Hotel has a fine-dining restaurant boasting 1 Michelin star. Less than 20 rooms means the hotel feels very intimate. The decoration is bold and contemporary. Staff at reception were lovely throughout the stay. The managed to get me a take-away breakfast as I had no time to sit down and have my breakfast at the Hotel. Would stay there again!

The hotel is in a very pleasant and charming area, at the edge of the old city. The Weather was awful during our stay, but the hotel so comfortable that we enjoyed ourselves anyway, and still got to see some pleasant parts of the city thanks to the excellent guidance of the staff. The hotel offers that rare ability to provide first class service without intrusiveness or obsequiousness, something we had not experienced for a long time.

Last minute booking. The hotel was all it was meant to be. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Hotel perfectly placed Only negative was that the restaurant was closed

Very luxurious stay in a Prestige room. I hope my travels bring me to the area again so I can stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel unfortunately the rooms overlooking the street are very noisy, if its a night rest you want ensure a garden view or don't go here. Not what you expect in a 5* hotel.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff was exceptional! They were so accommodating (I bough spaghetti at a corner store and brought it back, only to discover we didn't have a microwave in our room. The staff took my dinner, heated it up, and delivered it to our room like room service!), kind, and willing to help in every way. The hotel itself is stunning from the facade to the rooms to the restaurant. We completely recommend it!

From check in to check out staff were very helpful with tips on where to eat and gave a map circling some of the main points of interest. Hotel room was lovely comfortable bed and great bathroom. On check left our bags for the day as late train back and when we came to collect them were offered a bottle of water each to take with us for the train. A lovely touch after we had already checked out. Also the Windows do open if the weather is very warm when we figured out how to open them made such a difference to heat level in room

if you need to stay in the area this hotel is worth going out of your way for. the food is exceptional.

The Clarance Hotel provides superlative service in a restored historical building. As it is a boutique hotel the guests are made to feel that they are indeed valued guests. The rooms are quiet, luxurious and beautifully appointed. We would not hesitate to warmly recommend The Clarance Hotel.

This hotel is just perfect! Location: right in the city centre, everything is within walking distance. Service: very welcoming staff Rooms: beautiful and classy decorated rooms RESTAURANT: just excellent! Maybe next Michelin starred restaurant

Absolutely beautiful, total 5 star hotel all the way, from the entrance, to the foyer, to the dining rooms, to the bedrooms, everything about this hotel was class, the staff just so fantastic, so helpful and friendly, restaurant fantastic as well, just loved it, would definitely stay here again, did not want to leave, great location

Super hotel on the edge of the old town and with on of the best restaurants in the town although expensive well worth the money.
