Janet at front desk was so welcoming, perfect location easy walking distance to beach and surf club, our self contained studio although a little dated was spacious and comfortable. Swimming pool was a lovely area to enjoy. Would definitely stay again in the future.

We had a big group come down with small children and the staff were so accommodating. The pool and the jumping pillow were a huge hit as well as the shuttle that took our group to and from the rsa near by.

Few minor things. The bed was too comfy for myself but in fairness my husband thought it was fine and so did everyone in our group :) The other issue was our family and one other were a bit far from all the other families that we had booked with. But we were a big group so hard to accommodate everyone.

Unfortunately the pool was out of order for the whole weekend.

Pool is heated for the winter, so kids swam and it kept them entertained all day. Close to the beautiful beach and facilities are clean and modern. Staff are friendly and we love the kids holiday activities provided.

Was given an accessible motel for a family with young children which we did not request for and wasn’t aware of this until we checked in after hours. The bathroom had an open shower and we constantly needed to dry the floor with towels for our children safety so not ideal. However, this was minor compared to all the other positives we had.

Very clean, warm heat pump, bunk beds that the kids loved two top bunks!!!! And warmed pool and hot pool, pizza oven, the staff were very good thinking up things for the kids to do.

The heat pump fan was right behind the main bed/room part of our cabin- no where else to put it in the building - but it vibrates the entire cabin so we turned it off at night- so then the windows were heavily crying from condensation in the morning. Maybe move the fan off the building? I don’t know- but that was an issue. And the hot pool was out for the latter part of our trip- broke down? But supposedly was fixed later in the evening. This was a Sunday so was it chemical that was the problem?

Curtains were very dirty, some linen were dirty.

They staff were friendly , the maintenance man was awesome giving our toddlers life jackets for the kids and just a nice man to me and my husband and our children. Loved our room could see the beach , it also had balcony and 2 rooms, a kitchen and a lounge area for cheap. Would recommend 👌

It was beautiful and cozy setting close to the beach.

I thought I would be able to get a clear view of the beach, but it was only partial. The unit was smaller than I anticipated, but still okay.

Had to do a very last minute booking. Reception desk staff where fantastic. Location right on beach. Brand new, spotless, best place on the beach!

Unit was quite bare-bones. A proper stove/oven would have been nice. For what you pay, I think you could get more… but still a nice place and would come back

I couldn't connect to my wifi. It said connected but when you'd go to surf net it wouldnt work. And there was a spider by my tv. Im scared of spiders

The heated swimming pool and spa were great.

The pool was the star of the stay it is amazing! Room was sparkling clean and the staff were so friendly, kids loved feeding the eels and the beach was just across the road we would definitely go back we had an amazing trip.

Great studio apartment - really comfortable bed, tidy little kitchen area, and great bathroom. Awesome to have a car park right next to the room. Nice little deck with a view over the pool area

Very noisy with the fans from the pool filters, and general noise from the pool at times. Very cramped with caravans etc crammed in where ever there was a flat space, and narrow roads in between.

Everything! Our three year old loved this place and if he's happy that makes us happy. Comfy beds. Friendly helpful staff. Nothing to fault. First time staying in waihi and we would definitely come back again.

We absolutely loved everything, from the activity that is offered for the kids, to the pool and the spa, to the movie and Library room, the cabins were very accommodating, me and my children loved the whole lot, the feeding of eel.

The cabin was great but the cleaning could have had a bit more attention done to the room, otherwise great.

Great pool with water slide and spa . Good playground for the kids. Staff is helpful and friendly. Good location 3 min walk to the beach. Facilities are good and spacious, bbqs near pool area and also by the playground.

Parking in the unit area can be a bit tight if you have a large vehicle. Our room didn't have a toaster but we borrowed the neighbors so no problem.

7th time visiting and plenty more times I will be coming back

There were ants on the bench coming from under the oven so must not have been cleaned properly. And upon arrival the front mat at reception was rolled up but bc I was getting my id out of my wallet I didn’t see it rolled up and not flat i tripped why opening the door nearly smashing my head on the concrete wall

Was not given unit with amenities that we booked and paid for. No explanation could be given why sub standard unit given. Mould everywhere on cushoins, window sills, furniture. Shower curtain too narrow and short to keep water spray in so floors and bathroom door full of mould and water damage. We booked and paid for unit with bathtub and dishwasher. No dishwasher in unit as booked and paid for. No dishwashing liquid. Dirty cutlery and cups left as "clean" in cupboard. Took two trips to office to get this remedied. Not enough cutlery for our family. State of unit spoiled our experience that would have been otherwise brilliant. Had to leave early to avoid allergies with all the black mould everywhere.

Facilities like pool, spa, communal spaces were great (although busy - unavoidable on a holiday weekend). Frequent texts from management with info on activities within the park and around the local area, were super helpful and a real selling point for this park.

Kitchen cabin is very small, we struggled to find places to put our belongings. It could have been cleaner. Very expensive for what you get.

Unfortunate that the sauna was out of service. My room had a bad odour that lingered during my stay, like a musty cooking or garlic like smell even with leaving the door open for a few hours.The bathroom also had a smell at night, like subtle waste water which I could smell in bed. The cavity door kept opening slightly so the smell kept coming though.

It’s very well looked after and has a great family atmosphere.

Great place to stay, comfy self contained cabins with all of the amenities you'll need, clean and tidy.

Stayed with two kiddies who absolutely loved the pool and slide. Easy and direct access to the beach with local eateries and cafes all within walking distance. Staff were kind and helpful, would absolutely return! =]

We asked for a beach view which was there. But they put us in tiny not sure what the room was but it didn’t have any separation from our next door neighbours could hear everything. Also major construction work was being done next door, which was not communicated to us when booking. Not worth the money and not displayed correctly in booking on size and location of property. Will not stay there again, construction on the house started at 7am, this needs to be communicated to guests before paying for this.
