Lovely apartment/cabin, well stocked with everything and very comfy bed.

The cabin was comfortable to stay in and had everything we needed. It's very handy to the beach. Easy to find. Facilities are sparkly clean.

The shower in our cabin had a few issues... the water was either hot or cold no in-between. I informed the lady at the desk when we left as I don't think they were aware. The wifi was very weak and kept dropping out, making it hard for my daughter to do her school work Everything was squashed in like sardines in a can... there was barely enough room to get the car in and out of the parking slot. It was very quiet at this time of year thankfully.

Its a lovely place to stay with our fur babies. The unit has everything in it and very comfortable. The park is kept lovely and the walking paths and riading 8s perfect when I'm walking the dogs.

The only thing I didn't like was ls the lack of lighting at night by the pet friendly units (I couldn't see when I took the dogs out at night ) I was a bit anxious.

Well-situated, close to the beach, exceptional staff and very tidy and clean facilities. For the fourth time staying, and we will be back!

Stayed in a different unit than usual and the noise from dogs and other campers was more pronounced. Will ensure to choose the usual units we like next time.

Was a great place to stay. The staff are lovely was running late and they had put the lights and heat on so was nice and snug when I got there. Love that its pet friendly and they have a cat. Was clean and very spacious cabin that was close to everywhere I wanted to go. Will def go back.

Clean and warm cabin, very close to the beach, and dogs are allowed.

Could have done with an extra tea towel but when that's the only complaint you know it's a great place to be.

Staff were good to talk to and helpful the park was clean and safe and we were well looked after thank yous for the up grade we loved it we will be back if we need aplace to stay 😀 😊 ☺️

Clean, good location to the beach. All the basics were covered. Great spot if you're social with kids.

Ants were a problem both days we were there. Kitchen utensils were very basic. The layout and the vibe of the camp was a bit cramped, lacking in privacy. Not great for a winter stay as the cabin was clearly not insulated, absolutely freezing early June. Bathroom in particular needed some TLC.

The cabin we ended up in was very nice. Management listened when we expressed our concern and disappointment at the disorganised and uncommunicative way they handled a bad weather event.

We arrived at the beginning of a severe storm and our allocated cabin was on the lowest corner of the grounds. It rained very heavily and the grounds had flooded by morning, rising steadily. We had slept in an uncomfortable too-firm bed. Early morning, we were asked to head out through the flood waters to higher ground where empty cabins had been unlocked to move to. This was great, but I don't understand why we hadn't been upgraded to this the night before, when staff were aware of the history of flooding events and the likelihood of it overnight due to the weather warnings. We were initially moved into someone else's cabin, management believing the person had vacated. This wasn't the case and when we were asked to move again, it was left to us to find a cabin that was empty. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing and overpriced experience.

the unit was very tidy and clean. All the other facilities at the grounds were well maintained and the staff were very friendly. The bed was a little softer than my usual bed however still clean and comfy. I always enjoy visiting Waihi Beach, its one of my many happy places to visit.

overall everything was fine. I am happy with my stay over there. There is nothing that I did not like.

Our two bedroom cabin was ideal for our two night stay. The cabin was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the bed linen was good quality, the heating was effective, there was a good choice of bed pillows. The shower was small but the water pressure was excellent.

Absolutely nothing. We would certainly recommend Waihi Beach Tasman Holiday Park Beachaven to future guests.

Easy walk to beach. 15 mins walk to cool shops/restaurants in town. 5 mins walk to beachside coffee shop/cafe. There are 2 Tasman sites close by so check which one you have booked. We thought we had booked the other one, my mistake. Beachaven seemed quieter but further down from surf end, if that's what you are here for. The locals also surf where we were though (and less crowded break).

Overall is a nice and clean place to stay. Good space with all the things that we need.

It just had cockroaches comes out every night in the kitchen and bedroom wall.

Comfortable, clean and great location.

We stayed in a 2bdrm pet friendly unit which was very comfortable so we had most facilities in the unit apart from a washing machine. The park was very clean and set up well. There was a mix of units, grass areas for Caravans, fenced off sites for dog friendly vans and then permanent park units.

The only negatives were we didn't have a fenced off area for our pet friendly unit, even if they fenced off the back part of the unit would have been great. And as above would have been useful if the unit had a washing machine.

Greeted by a lovely staff member & everything seemed fine. Heavy rain & an orange warning but trusted that they knew where would flood & didn’t expect them to direct us to park in an area that had flooded repeatedly before!

We were caught in the flooding 27th March 2026 & our car was written off while trying to save it from the waters IN the park! Staff gave no warning until the park and roadway outside unit 12 was over 30cm deep. We arrived & were greeted by a lovely staff member who gave us a map detailing where our unit & our parking space was. 8am I woke, noticed water, texted a friend in alarm. 8:06, neighbour knocked to say moving car with flood rising 8:09, husband in car trying to save it. Left car in 50cm water. 8:28 staff came to ask us to evacuate (yes this is the first we saw of them). I am surprised that we received NO warning whatsoever when we checked in (during predicted heavy rain), or later in the evening or even in the morning, until it was too late at 8:28am. A VERY expensive holiday, although they didn’t charge for the second night while we were marooned & the park was closed due to the emergency. Also… cockroaches (6 or 7) crawled out of the toaster & one crawled on the settee. Normal in heavy rain but no toast thanks.

Your blurb sheet that was given on arrival said no smoking but no signs were up anywhere that I could see to tell you & people were smoking & vaping around the grounds

Property has a very relax feel tucked away nice kitchen facilities Saturday pizza oven was a hit inclosed camp sites for the furry friend sauna and spas were great after a day at the beach.

Good family holiday park Short walk to the beach

We were in a self contained unit- which hadn’t been cleaned properly. Kitchen and bathroom need a good clean. We were also put in a unit set up for disabilities and the bathroom sink was so small you couldn’t use it.

The location was amazing. The staff were super helpful. Our cabin was awesome value for money. We will be back one day. My son loved biking the camp

The only criticism was the bathroom had mould all around the windowsill and the heat pump had mould too.

The bed was fantastic. Great mattress, made for a great night's sleep. You never know what type of beds you might get, this place invested in great bedding! Spotless cabin, super-friendly service with a smile that is always welcoming. Grounds were well appointed which made for a comfortable relaxed stay!

Everything worked as it should have, excellent all round.

Clean & tidy. Short walk to the beach. Nice size rooms. Pet friendly unit, we bought our small dog with us. Bring something to block the sliding door to keep your pet in. We didn’t her a chance to enjoy our stay due to severe weather but looking forward to coming back next summer.

Tv was abit average, kept glitching & no signal during rain. We were unfortunate to get a storm while there & had to evacuate. But they refunded us.

Accessibility Cleanliness

We stayed at the self-contained 2BR cabin. The double bed was too soft for me and my partner. We had to use the second room where there were bunk beds.

Great spacious accommodation

A great version of a holiday park. We just wanted one night for a nostalgia visit. Very well placed as well.
