Sleeping on the beds upstairs were comfy Location was okay Facilities not too bad

The front door had no lock on it as we tried to lock the door with the key anybody could walk in also something fell from inside the fridge when opening it

We recieved a breakfast which was really good

The motel is looking a bit tired and could do with some maintenance

The fridge space and wardrobe space and couch.

The spa wasnt working, Maybe some clear instructions would be useful with turning it on, but we have stayed here before and it just wasnt working. Also there was a bit of noise around the rooms. Garden area outside our room was ok to sit outside, but rusty chairs and table could be a health and safety risk.

Spacious room with lounge & small courtyard.

Very dated & tired. Toilet was non-functional, it could not flush. The cleaner would have/should have known this & alerted management to fix it before making room available for guests. Spa bath non-functional making it just a bath. There were very sharp dangerous carpet tacks completely exposed in worn carpet. Instead of fixing it they covered the area with a cheap outdoor mat which could easily shift. I did sustain an injury but luckily did not tread with all my weight on the tacks. Two of these defects are very serious & show a disregard for health & safety. This is way below the standard required & totally unsatisfactory.

Location was perfect for us. Friendly staff and the shower had amazing water pressure. Beautiful place to stay. Spacious room for three people (mum, my son and myself) my mother needed disability access and this was provided when I initially booked the room.

Single bed was a little hard but we managed and it was no biggie really

Just needs a update room wasn’t clean when we arrived fridge still had food in it

It was reasonably priced, had good space and also had a good size kitchen area if you wanted to prepare meals. Beds were comfortable. Staff were friendly and tried to be helpful but solutions weren’t really appropriate.

The toilet got stuck flushing frequently and the cistern lid had to be lifted to stop it. The smoke alarm went off without reason in middle of the night. There was no hot water for a shower in the morning - water was very cold! Bath air bubbles mustn’t have been used for a while and when we turned it on there was black floaty bits that came out.

Was a last minute booking, had a great sty, very comfortable, clean and lots of space. Spa bath was a bonus, awsome location for what we needed. Staff were very kind and welcoming.

The location is very good. Close to eateries and dairy shop . Our breakfast delivered to our room each morning was delicious. Thank you

Probably just a little detail on cleanup under the bed... but that's only minor compared to the rest of the areas were so tidy.

Breakfast was included. Big breakfast,basic but no options for anything smaller, eg, toast and spreads, yoghurt. The room was huge but the decor very bland and not much in there to fill it. No smoke detectors. Everything old,worn and tatty. Needs some money spent on it and TLC. Staff very welcoming and friendly.

I had the room and breakfast deal. Big Breakfast, ie good portions, bacon, mushrooms.

Luckily, I only had 1 night here. Disappointing, room has a broken TV, towels were stained as were the carpets.

Carpet between beds dirty, room was smelly, mould all around bath was a turnoff. Stains on cushions and pillowslips really put me off. Springs in bed had had it..

I was attracted to the place from reviews and the photos on booking.com, bonus they had a pool. The reception was tidy and the staff were friendly enough. The drive from reception to the accommodation gives you the illusion of tucked away luxury.

The family room (room 16) stunk of stale cigarette. As a non smoker this was giving me a headache. I will give it to the staff when I went to see them, they happily gave me a new room (room 22). A somewhat upgrade. It had cockroaches, stained carpet and couch. Although the shower pressure was satisfying, the tub already had water over it, which lead me question the last time it was cleaned. The light fixtures, the towels and walls need to be deep cleaned. I honestly couldn’t wait to leave. I can’t help but think this place was emergency housing.

Great staff. Big room with couch and dining table. Kitchenette for cooking. Air conditioned for comfort. Private courtyard was great. Pool was awesome. Cold but it was warm out so very refreshing.

Very big rooms lots of space, big bathroom with bath and shower, a little garden area, nice touch lots of parking space, nice and quiet. Had 2 nights here loved it 🙂.

It’s a bit of a distance to the restaurants, you would need to drive or 25 minute walk. There is a lovely Indian restaurant 4 minutes walk. We had 2 dinners there it was fantastic.

The location was perfect for us it was very clean and the staff comes around every morning to collect all dirty towels and get replaced The kids enjoyed the pool and spa and the staff were very friendly and helpful I will definitely come back

Location seemed to be fairly central to everything.

Although they came into our room to change the used towels they didnt make the beds. It would've been nice for them to have done that.

It was in a good location, the room size was nice and big for us, and my kids loved the pool.

The towels were really old and I think need to be changed to new towels, there were stains behind the toilet on the wall, and I don't think it was really cleaned. There's no soundproofing so can hear the neighbours very clearly

Proximity to family that live in Hastings and Splash Planet

The pool wasn’t open on check in day . Was looking forward to a swim after our 6hr drive to Hastings

Small issue - the bed squeaked

Room was in poor condition. Marketed as a family room but wasn't suitable for young children. Electrical sockets and phone in reach of small children. One Electrical socket in particular was broken, it looked as if it had blown, and just had cellotape covering it. Weird smell in bathroom. Stains in carpets and couch. Toilet roll dispenser broke as soon as touched. One window in bathroom doesnt have a latch, so its free to open and enter from outside. Bathroom door handle very loose to the point its about to fall off. Kitchen tap is so worn it sprays at you while using it.

The location was perfect for us next to splash planet the main reason we came. Reception was 100% friendly and helpful. Everything was 100% there is nothing more you can say than that. I accidentally left my taonga in the room and the cleaner had identified and isolated for me to collect.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming room was clean and had kitchen utensils were available, so could cook our own breakfast, and allowed us extra time to move out as I had teenagers who stay up late, so much appreciated, would come again to stay.

The shower curtain needs replacing, was tatty and had rips in it
