Nanuk's Bungalows

The hotel is lovely run by great staff! The breakfast was great! We had banana pancakes everyday! The pool is good size but lots of broken tiles. The beds under the rooms were great for shade and having a drink of a night time. The mosquito net was needed as the rooms are slightly open, but did have some rips in it. The mini mart shop was great! It’s walkable to great restaurants and the beach

The hotel was quite expensive compared to places we’ve stayed in mainland Bali. But the island is a bit more expensive on the whole. There’s no grab so local taxis needed to get around and quite expensive but restaurants tend to offer free pick up and drop off if you book a table.

Die beiden kleinen Bungalows für uns als Familie waren in der mitte miteinander verbunden - mit der Möglichkeit sich dennoch räumlich zu trennen. Und sie waren neben älteren Bungalows sehr neu. Die Anlage war klein aber fein - nix edles aber echt nett und schön gemacht. Nachts extrem ruhig. Moskitonetze waren intakt. Das Personal sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und aufmerksam. Gleich ums Eck ein sehr netter Laden zum Frühstücken oder Essen. Direkt gegenüber ein Rollerverleih. In wenigen Minuten zu Fuß am Hidden Beach. Ein paar Minuten länger zur Mushroom Bay. Alles keine langen Wege.

Insgesamt natürlich ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Im Pool fehlten einige Kacheln. So wahnsinnig genau darf man da eh nirgends hinsehen. Im großen und ganzen war das alles in ordnung und gut.

I didn't like that fact that while you were in your room, you could hear your neighbours.

We loved our bungalows… simple and perfect… awe enjoyed the pool and the friendly atmosphere. Everyone who works at Nanuks was so sweet and really helpful. Easy walk to mushroom bay and a longer walk around to coconut beach. Location was so perfect! Can’t wait to go back one day.

Great pool and bungalow I was in was around the pool area. Yes, there were kids playing and screaming in there but that's part of a holiday experience. I got breakfast added as a freeby which was lovely. Basic but more than enough

We loved the quiet location while still being in easy walking distance to Mushroom Bay. The bungalows around the fabulous pool were comfortable, clean and rustic. All the staff were so friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

It is difficult to mention one thing when your stay is perfect. In fact I am coming back next year planning on staying longer at the hotel given the great experience we had.

The room was bright and lovely. Not traditional style but had hints of tradition, I liked the balance of new style and old. The bed was comfortable. It was quiet and safe and clean. The pool and dining area was open and social. The bungalows around the pool area appeared dated and dull so it brought the vibe down. It needed more tropical plants to make it a bit more lush. But overall great. Massage places galore in the same street, easy walk to everything. Good wifi. Nice breakfast. Staff were young and friendly and helpful.

I loved the lovely traditional style huts and the way they felt so cosy, also practical with. Mosquito net and very good working shower and lovely balcony.

De rand van de douche (huisje 11, geen idee of dat overal is) is glad, oppassen dus.

Rooms were tiny, no room for any belongings. Smell in the room was terrible. Toilet and shower weren’t the cleanest either.

Such a beautiful traditional Balinese accommodation. Very peaceful, the pool and garden is beautiful. Good breakfast.

We stayed in the family hut, and I was aware from reviews about the steep stairs. They are very steep almost like a ladder lol. So wouldn’t reccommend for young children. Thankfully mine were old enough to understand to be careful.

We were not told that there was major construction directly opppsite our bungalow. There were men working, shouting and lots of hammering. There was no way you could sit on the balcony and relax on our holiday. The beds were so uncomfortable.

​Our stay in the 2-bedroom hut was very disappointing. The upstairs room smelled strongly of animal urine, and the bathroom was quite dirty. To make matters worse, the ceiling leaked sand directly onto the bed every night, and the mosquito situation was out of control. ​Prospective guests should also be aware that the "stairs" are essentially a vertical ladder. While the bottom room was okay and the water pressure was average, the lack of cleanliness and the sand falling from the ceiling made it impossible to enjoy our stay. Avoid this one.

We liked the intimate Room, the breakfast menu and the friendly helpful staff

Breakfast space was hot and the walk to upstairs bedroom was very steep. The water was temperamental in the bathrooms.

The property has potential but unfortunately we didn’t stay long enough to find out

We booked this many months ago and weren’t told at the time of booking there was construction. We booked certain rooms due to having kids and oldies, only to find out once we arrived that they weren’t available. We got upgraded to the one bedroom bungalows but with their narrow stairs these weren’t suitable at all. We stayed one night and moved elsewhere. There is constant noise from construction and the pleasant view of a work site didn’t make the stay pleasant at all for a relaxing beach holiday, the one bedroom bungalow is tiny and couldn’t even fit the spare bed we requested easily, the stairs were so narrow it felt unsafe to climb up or down.

Beliggenheten er helt topp, i nærheten av gode resturanter og stranda. Personalet er kjempehyggelige og hardtarbeidene. De la en stor innsats i at det skulle være rent og fint. Veldig fint uteområdet med beplantning. Fint opplyst om kvelden. Fikk hjelp til transport. God frokost!

Området er slitt, for eksempel er det mye løse fliser og fliser som mangler i bassenget. Deler av gulvet og statue har grønt belegg (mose pga fuktig klima?) som gjerne kunne være vasket, men det påvirker jo ikke annet enn utseende. Bildene på nettstedet bør oppdateres, da det er gjort en del endringer der. Dårlig trykk i dusj og vask.

The place could accommodate our large family booking

I arranged for family to be picked up from jetty but failure to do so and I was blamed for not giving them a time when I did. Big miss communication on the staff end resulted in family having to sort out and pay for transfer. Their partnered driver tried to rip us off and would not recommend them to do the island tour he offers. He tried to cut out pre-arranged time down and still charge us the same rate. Pictures on websites need to be updated to justify reality.

Beautiful location, lovely staff and very peaceful grounds, pool was lovely and the bungalows were very cozy. So close to the nicest beach! Great value for money :)

Oki et son équipe étaient d'excellents hôtes ! La propreté de toute la propriété était leur priorité numéro 1 ! Que dire du déjeuner matinal qui commençait la journée du bon pied. Les installations de piscine avec une zone creuse et moins creuse étaient parfaites pour notre garçon de 3 ans. Son aide pour réserver des locations de scooters ou notre retour sur Bali a été très précieuse ! L'emplacement était idéal avec quelques petits warungs tout autour ainsi qu'une toute petite marche pour rejoindre la magnifique plage de mushroom bay.

We were a family of 5 and my mum stayed in the bungalow style which suited her. It was more modern. The hut style my children loved. The hut style was more rustic in nature. The staff were really friendly. Moped hire was easy, just across from Nanuks. There’s a shop on site - brilliant for buying bingtangs, chips and drinks for the kids. The breakfast option is great value, close to restaurants of different classes. I highly recommend you hire a moped to get around the island and to cross the yellow bridge.

In the hut style bungalows you have to be vigilant closing the door to the bedroom to keep mozzies out. The bathroom is in the main entrance.

Breakfast was excellent. Loved the location on a quiet street and close to Tamarind beach, also great easy coastal path to Coconut beach for surfing

The staff is very friendly and helpful and the cottages are charming. The resort has a small store that has all you need - from toiletries to beer and is open late. The breakfast was tasty and the beach is a couple of minutes away on foot, and the pool was great for quick refreshment throughout the day.
