Very dated and could do with some TLC. Two of the outdoor chairs were disgustingly filthy. Even though the owner/ manager did advise that the water pressure was an issue, it was worse than I imagined.

If the hot and cold water taps were combined in one it would be easier to wash utensils since there is no dishwasher. A fan heater for the small room would have been better as it was very freezing for the person sleeping in there.

Reviewed Jul 3, 2026Accueil chaleureux. Môtel situé à la sortie de Coromandel avec une magnifique vue sur la Mer depuis la chambre. Studio grand et bien équipé. 1 place de parking gratuite par logement. Matelas chauffants. Très bon séjour. Motel que je recommande aux visiteurs.
Logement très mal isolé au niveau thermique. On sent l'air froid rentrer dedans. Même en mettant la climatisation réversible à 27 degrés, il était difficile de chauffer le logement. Le lavabo de la salle de bains et l'évier de la cuisine ont chacun deux robinets, un d'eau très froide et un d'eau bouillante ; difficile pour se laver les mains à la bonne température, ... il serait bien que des robinets mitigeurs soient installés pour plus de confort.

Cleanliness was mediocre, lighting was low. The features advertised in the ads were not particularly true. The BBQ facilities, was a small baby webber that had to be requested to be used, kayaks are advertised and breakfast was said to be included. None of these were options at the site.

Reviewed Apr 8, 2026Lovely view from this motel. There is a little bay right across the road where you can swim, it does require a short walk down a bit of a hill. Motel is on a no exit road, so not lots of traffic, set up off the road almost in the bush. Nice and quiet. You will need a car if you want to get into Coromandel town. Oh and thanks for the complimentary lollies

Rooms were very spacious and clean - all kitchen facilities were more than adequate. Beds extremely comfy and lovely bed linen!! Staff could not have been more helpful.
The only slight negative was the bathroom - quite small and a little dated. Shower could use an upgrade.

Reviewed Feb 27, 2026We loved our stay here!! While the units are older, and the main bed was in the living/dining area, it was still perfect for a 1 night stay and was beautifully clean! The linen/sheets/towels etc were lovely and clean and fresh. The view was stunning and the staff were awesome. The owners wife Joce came and had a chat with us and was a wealth of local information. The units were slightly out of town but close enough to go out for dinner or duck to the shops.
The only thing would be if you were a couple with children or travelling couples, the main bed is in the living/dining area so if staying a few nights, this may be annoying. For us, it was not a problem. The only other thing was the sliding door to the toilet was hard to slide but you were able to slide the bathroom door instead, which would close off the toilet/bathroom area anyway.
