Beautiful place to stay. Great location for a walk into town centre. Make sure you visit the swimming beach its spectacular.the drive from Thames had amazing views. Accomodation was neat and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Good cooking facilities

TV was little but it was good enough for the area it was in.

Awesome unit. Generous size room. We'll equipped kitchen unit. Great shower with plenty of steady hot water pressure & and a generous amount of towels. Location to town is perfect.

2 nights was not long enough !

Nice setting with the Bush. Our king size bed was perfect. The unit was clean and warm they had the aircon on ready for us and we were early. Carolyn was friendly and helpful. Close to the township easy walking.

Comfortable beds, lovely setting backing on to the bush and a short walk to restaurants. Plenty of towels in the room (and pool towels at the spa). Friendly staff.

Spa closed at 5pm - there were lights in the pool area so even a 7pm closing time would be more reasonable to allow time for a spa after a day out. No milk in the rooms - just little 'creamer' pots. The first motel I've been to in a long time that didn't provide real milk.

The room was lovely and clean heater was on when we arrived and it was so close to town we could park the car and walk into town excellent and we’ll definitely stay there again. Thank you Mike and Trish.

Very clean and tidy place, great spa pool

Such a beautiful and calm place with all facilities nearby. And best part was your private tub in your room. That was our most favourite this time of the year

Owners were so very welcoming and accommodating, Pool was tepid so still perfect on a 20 degree day. They made every effort to have 3 families beside each other. We will definitely return. Highly recommend

We liked the space, the location and the beds were very comfortable

From the upstairs you could see where the top ledge had not been cleaned for a long time, lots of dead flys etc. However the rest of the apartment was clean, well appointed with lots of space. The beds were comfortable and it was homely.

Bed was too hard

I was running late to check in and sent through a message letting them know. I’ve never been so appreciative to arrive and find an envelope with my name on it, clear friendly instructions, and lights on in my little cabin.

Very warm welcome. Location great. Able to have adjoining rooms with other family. Pool was heated to lukewarm so fabulous for Easter swimming. Grandkids spent hours in the pool whilst Adults watched from the spa. Lovely grounds

Laundry facilities No dryer available(broken) only washing lines.Appeared to be the case all season Fine if there for more than 1 night and it doesn’t rain. Blocked drain from washbasin.Manager cleared this but would not have occurred if regular maintenance had been undertaken.Obviously a longstanding problem.

Good location for easy access to the town centre. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. All-in-all the room, the location and cleanliness of the room was very good with only some minor observations being made.

Clearer instructions on how to use the spa bath would have been helpful particularly the exact location where the power switch is including how to adjust the water flow from the shower to the spa bath. The mechanism appeared to be faulty as this came off if unscrewed and it wasn't obvious whether to push or pull the button. Some of the blinds require repair and although some cleaning was done when staying overnight, the beds were not remade, nor bath cleaned out. The table was very wobbly and needs to be fixed, however these are only minor issues that can easily be addressed which would not be enough to deter booking with this provider again in future.

Sehr schön gelegene Lodge am Dorfrand. Zu Fuss 4 Minuten ins Zentrum. Ich hatte ein etwas erhöhtes Zimmer mit Blick auf die Umgebung.

Es hatte ein Loch in der Zimmerdecke mit einem größeren Spinnennetz, und daraus war allerhand Staub und Insektenbeine auf die eine Bettseite, insbesondere aufs Kopfkissen gefallen, ich wischte das mal auf den Teppichboden. Als ich das nach meinem Einzug meldete hieß es von der Besitzerin wir schauen uns das mal an. Herr und Frau Besitzer kamen dann 24 Stunden später mal vorbei und taten ziemlich erstaunt ab dem Loch. Das müsse passiert sein in den 1-2 Stunden bevor ich eingezogen sei. Ob ich ein anderes Zimmer wolle. Das sei vorher noch nicht da gewesen. Das hässliche Spinnennetz blieb dann bis zum Auszug dort und man sagte mir es könne Wochen dauern, bis da ein Handwerker gefunden werden könne. Die Dame war zwar grundsätzlich nett, aber für eine Lodge in dieser Preisklasse hätte man zumindest die Spinnweben wegmachen können und ein Klebeband über das Loch machen können.

Very kind person at reception made arriving at Anchor Lodge very welcoming. The room with balcony was lovely, beds comfortable, and everything was clean. Would stay here again.

A bigger washing machine would have been useful, but we were grateful there were laundry facilities at all!

Lovely spot,really helpful staff,highly recommend.

We stayed in one of the smaller units ("The Last Resort") but it had everything that we needed for an overnight stay, with a good car parking space. Very good water pressure in shower. Very handy to pubs/restaurants only a short walk away. Comfy bed. Heater available if we had needed it. Hairdryer, toiletries, nice towels. I think there was even an electric blanket. Pool and spa looked very good, but we didn't have time to try them out.

The very pretty looking curtains did little to stop the flashing fairy lights from the fence coming in to the room overnight. Very annoying. Only one bedside lamp. On entering to the unit, the "air freshener" fragrance was definitely too much. Even with the window open overnight, it was still noticeable. Cynically, one wonders what the scent was covering up. But everything was scrupulously clean.

This property has lots of character and is in a fantastic location in beautiful Coromandel Town. It is a short walk to shops, restaurants and a craft brewery. Our room was small but well equipped and very clean. The kitchen area is small but suitable for preparing a simple meal in your room. We had a sweet little balcony to watch the world go by and the pool and spa area was lovely and very quiet and just what we needed at the end of a hot day. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The laundry area was easy to access and very useful as we were on a driving holiday for a couple of weeks. The walk up to the lookout behind the property is well worth the effort.

Room was spacious and location was brilliant

The draws under the sink which had all the bowls, plates, cups etc had a bad smell and so made everything smell that was inside of it. This meant we had to wash stuff up before and after using it which wasn’t a problem but just was annoying and didn’t fully feel clean. There was one bug in the bathroom and also when we arrived which wasn’t late due to delays our door was wide open and so we were cautious as to whether any insects had come in during that time.

Clean, comfortable, quiet. Hosts very attentive was awesome!

A little small but all that we needed.

It was a great space for three of us, my uncle muse and my mum, it was just to have an overnight stay while travelling, but we could of quite easily and comfortably of stayed another night.

The suite was spacious and the kitchen very well appointed. We enjoyed the pool and sitting on the porch to eat. The bed was very comfortable. It is a short walk into the town.

Komfortables Zimmer mit Balkon und Meeresblick in der Ferne. Nähe zu Cafés, Restaurants, netter kleiner Ort. Schöne Bergwanderungen zu alten Kauribäumen möglich.

Weiter Weg (zu Fuß) entlang der Strasse zum Strand an dem geschwommen werden kann.

The room was clean and well stocked. There was no a/c, but the fans were very helpful. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The location was close to town but still quiet.

Perfect motel for our family to stay in for a couple of days exploring the area. Kids enjoyed the small pool. Staff were very friendly.
