A great facility with really lovely folks operating it. It was truly a pleasure to stay there. Thank you so much!

Clean and updated motel and room. Nice amenities in room and conveniently located.

The shower rose needs some servicing but apart from that it was lovely.

Very clean. Great service at checkout.

Warm caring staff n nice spacious clean rooms

convenient location, friendly staff. Great having access to an EV charger for a nominal fee (cheaper than super charger by far)

Perfect location for visiting the city (within 10-15 minutes walk of most key attractions). Easy to access main routes in and out of the city for further exploring. Very clean unit. Comfortable beds. Great spot. Will be returning for our next visit.

Good value for location in CBD.

Handy to town, very walkable

It was a nice and safe trip

Excellent rooms. Excellent facilities. Great parking. Friendly reception/host.

Lovely studio unit in a great location

Dawson Motel is a clean and comfortable motel. From my bedroom, I had views of the sea. Friendly, helpful staff. I would recommended this motel in New Plymouth.

The traffic can get noisy as of busy road. Monday morning a construction sight had noisy trucks and fortcliffs. So best to stay friday and saturday night. Unless a heavy sleeper. Nice and clean. Do need some upgrades for electric jug and the mugs were very small. The sheets were not very soft but other than that very pleased and nice services. Very clean and tidy.

What a lovely motel. Spotlessly clean, modern, comfy bed and really quiet. A great nights stay thank you.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, adding to a pleasant stay. The rooms were serviced daily and were quite quiet, comfortable and spacious with a modern feel. Conveniently placed, shopping and restaurants were close by. The outdoor activities were also close, as well as the Coastal Walk.

Shower head was faulty. Water sprayed all over except on you. Staff tried to assist but unfortunately did not resolve issue

Good location and so clean. Was so lovely to have complimentary cookies with the tea and coffee, Never had that before. We loved our stay.

It was a great stay with plenty of well designed space, nice linens and great shower with amazing water pressure. Staff were friendly and its a central location.

Handy location. Clean and comfortable.

.

Staff was friendly and accommodating. Very clean. Convenient to everything by walking.

Helpful staff with directions and food outlet suggestions. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Awesome shower in our one bedroom unit. Handy to town, park and beach.

Needed to know entrance was not on Dawson St. Otherwise all was excellent.

Helpful friendly host

a little noisy with trucks passing thankfully no trains units nicely modern and kept clean friendly staff will come again

So central to CBD. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, walkway. Excellent parking and room very spacious. IMMACULATE!!!

Super clean, great amenities, friendly host & staff, superb location. Will stay again ☺️

Lovely motel, only comment would be a better shower rose, there was good pressure but more squirted out of shower rose

Clean and spacious family room. Well equipped and warm.

Great

Very clean and friendly staff. Nice and quiet and yet close enough to walk to town. Would recommend and would stay again.

Quiet, very central, safe, efficient, decent rooms well set up.

The owner Warren was a lovely gentleman, very welcoming and a great place to stay especially if you have an EV as charging is available.

Very clean and referbished feeling. Safe, quiet. Close to lots of food options and shopping.

Lovely staff, clean and spacious.

Crean and bus-tub is really nice

Very friendly and very helpful

it is very clean, and tidy property. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Furniture are very good ones. If they can have a smart tv and netflix, Prime ,Disney plus will be more good.

Staff were excellent, easy close access to city

The Dawson Motel was very close to the shops and restaurants. But you could also park your car safely at the Motel if needed.

Good overall stay. The manager/owner was lovely too.

A very clean motel with everything one could want. Centrally located and despite being fully booked it was quiet.

Great short stay. Close to City. Clean

The Dawson doesn't differ much from other motels in this category. My stay was comfortable, but traffic noise can be a bit bothersome. The Dawson has no pool or sports equipment, which I would expect of a 41/2 star motel, especially for the price which I paid !

Great stay

Great place to stay. Clean and tidy rooms, very modern and stylish. Parking on site with a short walk to the water front and CBD, would stay here again.

Beautiful modern and clean motel, great bathroom with a large tub that included jets. On arrival we were greeted by one of the lovely owners and provided with guidance about the WiFi and parking available, as well as a generous glass bottle of milk. The master bedroom and lounge both had TV's with Sky. We had a very pleasant stay and we will definitely be back again. Highly recommended!

Loved it! Super modern, warm, perfectly clean, light, quiet, well appointed. Great location too. Exceeded my expectations. The kids loved it as well. Definitely planning to return.

We were in New Plymouth for the Americarna weekend and booked this months in advance thankfully. It was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. We particularly liked how close to the centre of town it is so we could walk everywhere. Would definitely stay again.

good location, clean room and nice host

Parking is a bit tight but that's probably because we had our ute rather than car. The room was nice well set out and clean.

Its always a pleasure to stay over at the Dawsons. Tried another motel last vist, but they could not match Warren's n Carol's home from home.

Lovely place to stay and friendly staff. Nice to have one lower levels. Very close to town centre.

Great location and good quality facilities. Friendly and knowledgeable host. Will definitely stay there again.

Great location, easy access to city center. Wou,d recomend this motel

Comfortable clean, central and well maintained. Our new go-to accommodation in New Plymouth.

Disapointing that theres nothing but rooms. No pool or spa or bath in our roon

Just what i needed. Comfortable and clean.

Everything I needed. Clean and lovely.

Very friendly staff in a well maintained and well equipped property .

Beautiful modern rooms, very clean, and they’re doing their bit for the environment

Well located within easy walking distance of the city centre. Easy parking and very modern.

Really good. Just have ice in the trays so drunken guests can rip straight into their GnTs after a long journey ;-)

Welcoming & friendly service. Easy parking, Great WiFi, Walking distance to many restaurants & cafes. Nice quiet location

Easy walk to restaurants and other facilities in New Plymouth.

Apart from the super clean and spacious room was the added bonus of the free bikes for guest use and the big car park. Have to mention the wonderful high pressure shower too !

Lovely couple. Excellent facility. Exceptionally clean!

The hosts and staff were friendly, accommodating and just wonderful

Fantastic Stay, have booked in again for Americana next year. Thanks so much for everything, Perfect Hosts

Super clean room, very comfortable bed and very friendly staff. Enjoyed borrowing the bikes. Thank you.

Very clean and comfortable room. Plenty of parking on site. The motel is situated on the edge of town adjacent to industrial type units so a lazy start to the day (on week days) is not an option unless you are a heavy sleeper. However it is also close to the harbour so very convenient for walks by the sea.

Great place to stay. Nice area, friendly staff and always clean comfortable rooms.

Drove down to New Plymouth for work. Arrived at 7 and was welcomed by the friendly owner. Made me feel right at home. The room was extremely tidy and relaxing. Bed was comfortable, shower was great. would recommend to anyone looking at staying down that way.

I stayed at the Dawson on business and found it one of the tidiest and cleanest motels I have stayed at and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for any kind of stay.
