A little surprised no rangehood over stove, stove lights appeared not to work.

The amount of shopping and restaurants within the location of the motel .The room was good with everything you would expect .The beds were comfortable . The owners were pleasant and helpful .

The main issue for me was the lack of sound proofing .You could hear everything going on in the rooms next to you and out on the main road .So if you are a light sleeper pack some ear plugs just in case .

Friendly owners & staff, excellent cleanliness, well stocked, great location near to town & a lot of amenities. I would recommend it to anyone.

No steam ventilation for shower / bathroom & opening the windows in winter was too cold. Heating for whole unit was only from one portable blow heater, which was scary to use as the heater's plug & wiring heated up.

Great location for family visit Would have preferred a downstairs room but otherwise 10 out of 10 good value for money

My partner and I enjoyed our stay here very much, the service was excellent, i rang through and told the receptionist we were still traveling and would possibly be late to check in she was awesome and waited till we arrived 😊 will definitly recommend this motel will definitely be back 😊 I particularly liked the fact that I could watch the NRL on TV in our room pity my team lost but awww well next time 🥲

Hyvin hoidettu jo hieman iäkkäämpi motelli. Tilava ja siisti huone. Kaksi supermarkettia aivan lähellä mutta keskustaan (Town Basin/Hundertwasser Museum) on noin 20/25 minuutin kävelymatka. Kamo Streetillä on liikenne vilkasta, liikenteen melua mutta yöllä hiljenee. Lyhyen kävelymatkan päässä on hyvä Thai ravintola.

Great location near two supermarkets and Close to CBD. Roomy motel with proper kitchen and a stove. Quiet at night . Comfy chairs and couch. Table and chairs.

It hasn't air conditioning but did provide two fans. Older motel which may need kitchens refurbished soon . Only one bedside lamp not two.

This is a classic US style, standard motel from the 80's. So, you have to set your expectaions with this in mind. It was in general a nice, comfortable, clean place, everything was up and running, the staff was really supportive and we watched DVDs(!) in the evening from the 80's, as they have DVD players and 1000 movies to rent from that age +players attached to the TV sets. The motel was close to the centre so it is good to use it as a base camp for visiting the downtown (Hunderstwasser centre, KiwiNorth, Kauri Museum, walks like BreamHeads and many more).

Nothing serious. If you are comfortable with these motels and have no luxurious needs, it is a good place at a reasonable price. Maybe I would replace the hob and renew the shower.

Location . Close to good food and cafe. Host Peter and wife were friendly and very accommodating .Felt really relaxed and comfortable. Service was excellent. Would definitely return.

Everything was absolutely great.

Didn't have breakfast. Location was good. I walked to the supermarket. Bed and pillows great. It had a large free standing fan which was great.

I felt the bathroom was shoddy. Rust on the towel rails and the vanity needs replacing. Shower was good. But it didn't look clean because it was shoddy, tired looking. The lounge and bedroom appear to have been done up, but not the bathroom.

Great location in easy walking distance to eateries and supermarkets. Handy driving distance to shopping center and waterfront walkway. Friendly approachable owners.

Located on a main connecting road, which can get a little busy and noisy at times but is great for direct travel to anywhere in Whangarei.

Conveniently close to all amenities - next door to Woolworths for our basic groceries etc. Close proximity to our LDS Church. quiet Rd and close to town. It was precisely as depicted on booking.com. The rooms were very clean, inviting and very comfortable. I normally sleep on a mattress on the floor (due to a chronic knee & back injury) but I slept on the KS bed 2 nights in a row - fantastic. Peter swapped us from a 1st floor unit to ground-floor due to my knees - no issue - appreciated that. We visit Whangarei 2/3 times a year to visit family & friends - best one we've stayed in. Reasonably priced.

We enjoy our stay immensely, I forgot 2 items of clothing and they rang us straight away, luckily we were still in the area.

The room is a little dated, but everything is well maintained apart from one of the lights in the kitchen was blown, but we coped with it.

Staff manager went beyond to help us out. Very friendly.

Didn’t have breakfast. As I was there for an eye operation, the surgery was next door. Couldn’t be better.

Nothing really. The location was perfect for my eye surgery. Just walked about 15 metres.

It was comfortable and, as many others have said, it is very close to two supermarkets. I walked to both. We stayed here on our way up north and on the way south - if we didn't like it we wouldn't have stayed again.

Older srtyle Motel but comfortable and well equipped. Good shower. Kitchenette had a stove with oven as well as microwave.

Great sized, well appointed rooms. Helpful, friendly staff. And a great location, handy to the supermarket.

The motelier was very helpful. The apartment was well laid out and roomy. I liked the round table and three comfy chairs in the middle of the room. The room was clean, tidy and warm. Location was great.

We could hear the people in the next room who were talking quite loud as we were trying to sleep.

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Even drove us down to the rugby stadium when we could not get an Uber.

It was very handy and convenient for us. Supermarkets were close by as were restaurants.

Large comfortable rooms, massive bed and very warm. The room was spotlessly clean and I was pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. Would definitely recommend to others and will be coming back to stay here.

The rooms were exceptionally clean. The shower was hot and strong. The person at reception was courteous and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and I had a great sleep.

I am 5’3” and had to balance on the lip of the showet enclosure and stretch to reach the controls.

A great location, ample space for our needs, shower is good. Decor is dated but is ok.

We stayed in Unit 5 and in the early hours of the morning we could hear the toilet flushing and shower running from the next unit. The light bulb in the dining area was blown and there was insect (daddy long leg) in the bathroom with dust behind the toilet.

Very friendly staff. Excellent location. Addition of aircon, mixer in the bathroom sink and sliding shower rose would make it more comfortable...

Couldn't be more helpful or friendly. Close to take away and supermarkets. Highly recommend staying here.

The location was amazing, close enough to walk to the town. Added bonus 2 supermarkets right beside the property. Room serviced daily to a very high standard. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Handy location close to supermarkets and food outlets. Comfortable bed and exceptionally clean and was a good sized room. Has Chromecast so you can cast to the TV.

Very friendly welcome. Very generous room size. Our room was very clean and well presented. Ample car parking spaces.

A pedestal fan was provided to cool the room but this was very noisy and not practical to use at night while trying to sleep. While the room was well presented it was very dated. Our room could have done with a spruce up. Maybe start with the threadbare shower curtain.

While the bedsettee are great ideas they are hard and uncomfortable. Having an additional topper pad would be great.
