Had all the facilities we needed

I had booked a room with 2 beds (booking.com upgrade) but it only had the one, so my son and I ended up sharing. Wall heater didn't work as far as I could tell but used the other heater anyway so was okay

The sheep at the back with their lambs were lovely to watch from the kitchen window. Away from the business of the town center. Lovely layout and clean.

The mattresses were a bit uncomfortable, probably at the end of their life. The hotplate in the kitchen was a bit small to have two pots on there, would have been nice to have a proper 2 plate stove. We didn't realize that it was so close to the railway, so the noise of the train coming past woke us up through the night.

Good value for what I paid.

This wasn't an issue but couldn't rate staff as I didn't see anybody. Everything was done by email with key in lockbox outside door. Good email instructions though.

Ai for check in only works if the motel has a reliable computer system...could not ai check in as their network was up and down...never received email for lockbox key access....their network was up and down for entire 3 days. Fridge door needs adjusting

It was cheap(ish)

It was dirty, the bed was horrible, it was cold and dingy, noisy neighbours.

This is our second time booking with them,, the location is amazing, just out of the main drag but still nice and close, the rooms are large and have everything you need including heaters and a well equipped kitchen. Plus there's either cows or sheep out the back of the building!! They do offer and breakfast package (we didn't opt for this) . The staff were friendly

The beds weren't very comfortable at all, and the showers were fixed height which didn't work for taller people ( above 5'7) and water pressure was very little which effected the water heating availability

No chopping boards. Shower pressure very weak. Kitchen sink plug didn't hold water We have stayed here twice before and the 2 bedroim units were excellent but we were a little disappointed with the smaller Queen studio. But overall a good stay and adequate for our needs. Will visit again but book units with bedrooms.

I liked how it was convenient. It was clean, was reasonably priced

They didnt have the hot water switch turned on for us so we had cold showers in the monring, they didnt answer their 24 hour phone number when we tried to call, they argued and told me it was my fault that the hot water was turned off which it wasnt. They didnt have any info about there being a switch that needed to be turned on. It also smelt musty from being closed up so we had to buy candles to make it smell nicer. They didnt give me any refund for the cold water.

The WiFi was almost non existant and the beds were quite uncomfortable. Being part of a nationwide chain of motels, I thought the facilities would be alot better.

Room was a little tired.and mattresses could do with upgrading.. Step up to shower could be difficult for older people.

Clean and tidy, good amenities, quiet location. I liked that I could have my dog stay with me.

Low shower pressure made showering uncomfortable. Online check in/out was frustratingly slow - the dog charge (which was a surprise-I didn’t catch that on Booking.com) I was asked to do it twice in two different ways as it mustn’t have gone through the first time.

Very small and dated room. Tv was hard to operate so we didn’t bother. Bed and pillows need updating.

Comfy beds. Good TV with all the different platforms. Microwave and oven with elements.

Plug for kitchen sink didn't work. Woken up at 6am with smoke alarm beeping every 20 seconds due to the battery going flat. Horrible uncomfortable armchair which was shedding bits of vinyl. Cleaner only emptied bin - nothing else. Pressure in shower low.

Key drop off at Office, but office closed at departure. Hard to find Unit 10.

Cleanliness, facilities in room,

Completely dark area outside room, check in can be little difficult as keys are kept in locker. With us wrong keys were kept so had to wait for 30 min to get the correct keys in the night.

The bed was comfortable and the price was reasonable.

Needs maintenance, blind had mold on it. Didn’t like that the office was closed at 2.55pm when I arrived, according to the email I received I had expected that someone would be in attendance until 4.30pm. The check-in was delayed as I had to email and the email with instructions didn’t arrive so I had to follow up a second time.

Very dated and basic

It was lovely & quiet. The view out to the farm was nice as well.

The fridge was a bit small

Very quiet motel unit located on the outskirts of Masterton. Well equipped and very comfortable, 2 queen beds both very comfy. Had issues with the key but the manager was very helpful over the phone and got us back into the apartment quickly. Would stay again but would check the HWC next time.

Cups in the cupboard weren't cleaned very well and we had to rewash before using. The hot water was turned off but we didn't realize this until we wanted to take a shower in the morning

James was great and especially the communications! Good overall and impressed. Parking by door and extra things, eg pillows was good! Great complimentary beer

Internet dropped out at times so not reliable

Great location for our visit.

The Wi-Fi It constantly disconnected causing great frustration. I think this also caused problems with watching TV.

Clean and warm accomodation

Wifi hardly worked - smart TV needed updates on multiple apps that required admin login so mostly didn’t work. we had randoms come sit outside our room at 3am making lots of noise, it didn’t feel safe, and the bed was so worn you could feel the springs.

No cooktop and BBQ was not seen.

It had everything it said it did. Really nice for short stay.

Maybe more lighting outside would help people get around, it was pretty dark and hard to see at night.

The location was perfect for our purposes. The room was a good size and the help with the online check-in was efficient.

I felt that the information about the pet fee could have been presented more explicitly at the time of booking. Not everyone reads the questions, so I felt that more transparency regarding the price would have been great. I was travelling with two dogs, and luckily, was staying only one night, because if I had chosen to stay two (as I was originally planning), I would have been adding $140 to the bill.

We could not get the internet! Our room would not connect even after trying a number of devices. It did connect when I went to reception only but did not stay connected when I left the office. The plastic plant in the corner of the room was a throw back to the 1970s. The room was tired.

Sheets were stained and dirty when I lifted the blankets to jump into bed. So sleep on top of the bed blanket then woke up with little bites all over my legs. Unsure what they were. Took a week to clear up. Other then that. Our stay was ok.

Great value for money, met our needs. Added breakfast was fantastic!

Unable to utilize the Chromecast due to weak WiFi and fan wasn’t working well (unable to rotate) it was a hot night so this would have helped take the heat off.

Nice little property we affectionately called The Shed. We were separate from other rooms so felt more private. Pleasant grounds off main road.

Breakfast included but had to request GF bread again, despite pre-ordering. Other than that there was 2x sachets oat cereal, normal bread, jam and drink sachets. Had to eat toast dry as butter was rancid...dated 2024! Took photo but lost phone 2 days later. OK for 1 night but wouldn't have wanted to stay longer tbh.
