Kaikoura Motor Inn

The room is spacious with beautiful view.

Good price, plenty of room, friendly staff.

A bit of road noise but soon got used to it.

Love the hrv and heat pump system, great shower pressure, nice new kitchen.

Beds were dated, lamp cord was broken, some rubbish left on floor, curtains were dated and not very good at blocking out light

Spacious well kept garden Easy parking Well laid out Stunning views of the mountain

Traffic kept me awake as very close to the road

Beautiful location, not far from town. Quiet and clean rooms. Would definitely book again when travelling.

Cozy

It was clean and comfortable.

The second bedroom was very small.

Nothing really

Due to other guests having loud conversations at 2am in the morning, it wasn’t overall great. No shampoo in the bathroom either. The room was cold when walked in.

It was very clean, very warm beds. Had a bbq, a laundry with a dryer that we used a couple of times. Great shower!

It was hard to get the tv to work. And someone had put a rubbish bag at the front of the property so there was rubbish blowing round. Not the motels fault, however it didn't get picked up.

Sehr komfortabel. Großes Appartement mit zwei Schlafräumen . Sehr gut ausgestattet und sauber.

Very close to Whale Watch Kaikoura.

Not sure if the property has any heater or what? But we weren’t greeted with a hot air conditioned/warmly circulated room, hence the night was a little bit rough till we all tumbled into our bed.

Location was good. Unit spacious. Good shower.

The heating could have been better. One small aircon for a unit with two bedrooms. Bed cover was stained which was a turn off.

Excelente! 100% recomendado!!!

Cleaness ,location

I liked everything

The double room studio was awesome. Full equipped with everything you need to cook, electric blankets, TV, internet and bathroom. Very clean and comfortable

The beds are heated and that is a huge plus for winter. Parking is easy and you can park directly outside your lodge.

The heating for the living room can be improved. The aircon was not sufficient to keep the room warm. However, we were able to combat this by getting into the warm comfy beds! Would definitely recommend.

Apartment we had was a good size for what we paid.

The play area is very close to the road, but was nice there was one.

Very clean and friendly staff. Incredible value and comes with a private bathroom. Strongly recommended.

None.

There is a Chinese staff member who is very, very nice.

It was very cozy and have everything you needed inside

The shower pressure wasn't great and hard to keep at a usable temperature Pillows were abit small

Very near to Kaikoura whale watching meet up location, less than 5mins driving distance.

Heater was working slow to warm up the room

They were accommodating to us arriving late from the ferry. Room was very clean, easy to find and very good value for money. Would definitely stay again. Also found room warm with heap pump and electric blankets.

Very nice, comfortable stay here. The owner was lovely and welcoming. I would definitely stay again, and felt it was good value for money.

Nothing really. It is a little bit out of the main street of town so if you want something within walking distance maybe better to find something closer. Fine if you have a car

It was great

Everything was great clean value

It was quiet and the staff was very nice and accommodating and even offered us a free room upgrade. The room was very comfy and the view from the room was really lovely.

Nothing really, maybe the TV. I’d prefer to have it in the bedroom than in the lounge but it’s just a personal preference.

clean

Staff member was very pleasant. Bed was comfortably warm with nice clean linen. The complex is nicely laid out with ample parking space and large grassed area.

The room and most furniture and fixtures were old and gave an overall impression of dinginess. However to be fair, I understand the complex is in the process of being updated, so we were perhaps just unfortunate with our late booking.

Great location Easy to find Great parking Well equipped unit Friendly team 🥂

Friendly and helpful staff

Spacious

A good budget choice with everything you need.

The bed and pillows are not comfortable, the window in the twin room is not airtight which is a bit cold at night.

Absolutely love this place. First time staying in the room with the pool table though - and what a bonus! Will be back again soon :)

Staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was a pleasant one.

Very comfortable beds and pillows. Lovely owner.

Price really

Tap in bath room badly needs repaired black mould in shower and on cornice in main room by heat pump carpet need work but overall ok

easy to access, great location and facilities

the sponge to do the dishes was teeny tiny

I like the extra space available for parking . The rooms are immaculately clean. Even though it is an older motel every effort has been made to update it. The staff are always pleasant and friendly so when breaking my journey to Christchurch I always stay here.

Spacious and clean units. Only a 20mins walk to town. Close to supermarket as well.

Did not have breakfast but was happy with the service and the room

Lots of space

Nothing

Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Good size, had cooking facilities. It was also quiet and warm.

Clean and good price for 2 separate bedrooms, living area and a bonus pool table in sunroom

Close to road. Large noisy trucks through the night. Unit is beside the road.

Super kind and helpful hotel manager. Well equipped kitchenette.

Everything was great for us.

The bed - very uncomfortable

Great location, easy communication with the reception, big rooms

A bit austere, some decorations would be nice

The inn is very close to the town centre. The room is spacious and clean. Slept comfortably, and great kitchen too. Bonus the beautiful white capped mountains. What a great way to wake up with

Nothing

Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, well equipped. The staff are very friendly and helpful

A bit noisy but being situated next to a busy road it is to be expected

Great location! We also got a free room upgrade as it was available. Great customer service and lovely spacious room

Very minor issue with the stove

Heerlijk ruime kamers. Alles was heel erg schoon.

Tidy room. Very comfy bed. Plenty of parking.

We were only there for the night and it was great as it catered for my whole family. Where all three kids had their own beds and space. Beds were comfortable too!

Very clean and comfortable, with all the amenities. Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good location, quiet at night.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Plenty of hooks and mirrors

Larger shower

Loved our stay here in a delightful upgraded apartment. The view from the back was amazing. We, unfortunately. only spent a night here, as we were passing through.
