Aspen on King

Got a free upgrade, so delighted.

No electric blankets, suited me fine, but partner likes a warm bed in winter.

Customer service, room and facilities.

I didn't like that parking wasn't designated and anyone can park in front of any room.

we checked in late but when we arrived the place was so warm they turned on the heat pump for us.

nothing

We were delayed a day due to Ferry not sailing, they were very understanding. The day we sailed er were going to be late check in, the lady put on our heaters closed the curtains so everything was cozy and warm for us. AAA +++

With being a busy place, the hot water went cold and the spa was not appreciated when cold.

Location

Very dated

The owners were so lovely. And a great room with a perfect kitchen.

On arrival, met manager had had a nice chat, had also upgraded us to a unit with easier access which was a great surprise. Units clean and have most things you would need normally. Have stayed in couple different motels in Timaru and the rating these guys have should be higher. Judge it for the class and its on top of the list.

Very quiet off the street , comfortable bed everything needed for a night's stay

Location

地方大 清洁 整洁 有家的感觉

Canceled my booking as soon as I arrived and didn’t bother to send a email a day before I got there

Didn't have breakfast

Too short a stay

Rooms were lovely Not quite a Back street but was nice and quiet Lainey was really lovely to chat with and very informative about Timaru

Wonderful location, the room was exceptionally clean and the staff working there are cheerful and very knowledgeable about many areas in New Zealand, especially Christchurch! Absolutely my favorite place while I'm staying in Christchurch. Will stay again and again!

Super friendly service. Clean room and comfortable beds.

Bathroom floor.needs attention.

Comfortable & clean. Had everything we needed for a nights stay.

Vanity in bedroom.

Good size room. Comfy beds. Quiet. Nice location by botanic gardens

Bathroom configuration was unusual. Ensuite style with bathroom sink in the bedroom.

The guy that checked me in was outstanding. I was upgraded and the room although, A little older had everything including the most fabulous spa bath.

Absolutely nothing. Highly recommend.

Great value for money. The room had updated furnishings, the bed was very comfortable, and there was no road noise which made for a peaceful stay. Parking was easy and convenient, and the staff were thoughtful and helpful.

The only downside was that the walls seemed quite thin, as I could hear the person next door snoring during the night.

Good wifi, separate bedroom, lounge area, big bathroom

A bit noisy in the morning when people parked out front leave with their car

Great stay good location, clean, good value.

Loved the room it was massive for my family of 6 beds were big and comfortable the room was warm. It was so spacious my kids enjoyed staying here I would definitely be booking this place again when we in town again.

I didn’t have any problems with our stay I think everything was above expectations for me and my family. We don’t have any dislikes only likes about our stay.

Sweet motel style with very friendly staff.

Nice modern and clean unit

Room was clean, loved that the heat pump was on before my arrival as it was chilly!

Good parking

Stairs

Upgraded at no charge to a 3 bedroom apt! Superb!

Bedroom windows face busy street…car noise

located in the central, convenient

Really nice place to stay located close to everything the room we had was great and plenty of space

Everything was fine

The apartments are very large and there are many rooms. We had 2 bathrooms, and 3 toilets in total which was perfect!

Nicely set out great location nice and clean. Great size fridge freezer. Comfy beds

Being told you got it too cheap and that won't be happening again. The disabled unit we had the wet floor in the shower was badly lifted as in a very large amount and when you stood on the good part your could hear the glue squalching ready to come completely unstuck even more and actually a hazard and no shower seat. I thought the owner may not know but when mentioned told me it had been like it for 10 years and was too expensive to fix. I was shocked as both of us that stayed have disabilities. The rubbish bin was a pedal bin that could not be opened easily at all from the top luckily we could use our feet. The microwave was great but you had to pull so hard to open the door that the whole thing moved towards you and the coffee plunger and glasses were up so high that most would not reach them. We found when the next unit went to the bathroom their light would light the room as the back door really needed a blind or something to counteract this. I always sleep on top of a bed to which I bring my own under blanket and top blanket and my own pillow. Upon telling the owner this she said I made more work for her as now she would have to wash the cover of the bed due to health regulations . I'm still a bit baffled by this as alot of people sit on beds and get changed on beds. It seemed like she didn't want us there and considering there were only about 5 units used out of 30 something you would think differently but maybe that's why if this is the attitude she takes. All in all, for most people without disabilities these are probably fine. But we wouldn't stay there again due to the attitude of the lady. No one wants to go away and get attitude and have things that need attention on, like the 10 year shower problem not fixed or get told in advance as it could be very unsuitable for a disabled person. I'm sure health and safety would not pass this unit. These units were definitely not worth the full price they were asking.

Great price for the quality.

Only fault i could find was no extractor fan in bathroom .

It was close to family, spacious, very clean and comfortable

Location was good

Nice spacious studio with plenty of amenities

Location from town

Very clean, quiet and handy to shops. Well outfitted and good value

Nice and tidy and warm

The bathroom was tiny and you had to leave the bathroom to wash your hands etc. Very uncomfortable and awkward when travelling with friends. We had also asked for two single bed set up in the bedroom but this had not been recorded despite a message response through the app confirming it would be fine.

Spacious. Nice spa

Bathroom facilities not suitable for Seniors, vanity unit in the bedroom, and a tiny shower tucked in the end of the toliet, with a deep step out of it. Lighting in the unit was not suitable for reading, and it was very dark inside. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Room is super clean and spacious. Staff is very helpful and kind. She assisted to arrange twin beds room for us and provided some useful information for us like restaurant, little blue penguin sightseeing. We had a great time at the motel. Very impressive and memorable. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to visit Timaru.

Loved the spa bath ,perfect end to a day of traveling

The weather ..very cold 😆

Best place to stay in Timaru

This particular room not a 4.5 star as the property advertises

Great water pressure in the shower, comfy bed, everything I needed for a quick 1 night stay. Great sized room, however not very sound proof, could hear people in the room next door.

Spacious room and convenient parking

Everything. Amazing staff, clean facilities, comfy bed. Very impressed, will be back again.
