The people that run this place do alot more than any other place I have ever stayed. They are amazing looking after there customers. I have alot of respect for these guys. If your lookin to stay in Takaka. There is no better place than here. Will be coming back ever month i have time off from work. Thanks so much guys. ❤️

Cosy room with heat pump on before we arrived so very welcoming.

The spacious chalets are in a quiet setting with beautiful gardens. The chalet was perfect for our stay with everything you could need supplied. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had lovely handwash and body lotion along with shampoo and conditioner in the shower. A bbq and outdoor seating provided for each chalet. The host was very friendly and gave us local information to enhance our experience. We would recommend The Rocks as a relaxing stay Very close to Takaka township,and to explore the area.

Such a great set up for a large family group. Beautiful outdoor area and bbq facilities. Great parking for the vechicle’s and the boat. We’ll set out kitchen with everything you need.

This place felt like a retreat, private spacious and relaxing. we loved the view of the large trees and rocks out the windows. This is a place to return to.

Great location at the north end of the Abel Tasman National Park. Good value, large room and very comfortable. The host was ver helpful.

The Chalets are spacious, spotless, peaceful and comfortable with lovely private outlook. The setting is really interesting with the rock formations. Isaac made us very welcome and helped with use of the washing machine and drier -thank you.

Très charmant. Les logements et le jardin sont très bien entretenus, le cadre est très agréable. Tout est bien pensé, équipement complet, de manière à passer un excellent séjour. Les hôtes sont très gentils et à l’écoute. Nous regrettons de n’y avoir passé qu’une nuit, c’était juste un point d’étape.

Very tidy and clean room. The host/staff was friendly and honestly - they phone me regarding earpod which I forgot it under the pillow. The location was very unique - surrounded by natural rock which was no other place as well as grow worms.

Fantastic location, very clean, comfortable accommodation in unusual surroundings, our hostess gave us milk, peaches and a cucumber (home grown) which was much appreciated. We also had access to the “grotto” to see the glow worms, she also gave us lots of tips on things to see and do nearby.

Well located property just moments from the town. Our unit was spacious and super comfortable plus everything was super clean. We were able to wash our tramping clothes in readiness for our second tramp which was a real plus. A very pleasant stay with very welcoming and convivial hosts. Highly recommended.

Ich verbringe etwa 120 Nächte pro Jahr in Unterkünften. Diese Unterkunft war bis ins Detail das absolute Highlight der letzten 2 Jahre. Ungemein liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles passt. Höchster Schlafkomfort. Perfekt sauber. Einrichtung ähnlich in einem 5 Stern Hotel, nur besser! Schnelles Wifi, Netflix!, Küche eingerichtet für richtige Hobbyküche. Glühwürmchen-Grotte. Einbettung in die Felsen fantastisch. Herzliche Gastgeber! Wir bedanken uns von Herzen, Leanne und Issac!

Unique and interesting

The room is spacious and comfortable and has all the amenities a traveler might need. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The location is scenic and quiet, just out of town but still very close to the grocery and restaurants.

Facilities were great, super clean and tidy. Fantastic staff, warm and welcoming. Great property with its own unique atmosphere. Loved that it had its own glow worm cave.

Room had a rustic/cabin vibe but was exceptionally clean. Owner advised that beds had new mattresses - very comfortable.

Le chalet était spacieux et très bien équipé. La literie était très confortable. Il y avait une terrasse et un petit jardin pour profiter de l'extérieur, avec table, chaises et parasol. Une partie commune était à disposition pour lavage et séchage du linge, ainsi que pour cuisiner.

Absolutely loved our stay. The setting is exceptional. We loved the location- walking distance to Takaka village, close to main attractions. Private, super clean rooms where everything is in the right place. And as a cherry on top top of a already super delicious cake we loved soaking in a bath tub under the sky full of stars after a day of activities while sipping on our favorite prosecco - priceless. Definitely recommend staying there.

Sehr freundlicher und hilfsbereite Gastgeber, die sich kümmerten. Super sauber, effektive Ausstattung, mit allem, was wir brauchten.

Wir waren zweimal dort, hatten jedes Mal die behindertengerechte Wohnung, die wir nicht brauchten. Deren Lage ist nicht ganz abgeschirmt wie die anderen Wohnungen.

The lady who owns this property was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and well appointed.

The chalets, the rocks and beautiful nature around offer really cool vibes. You want to stay longer. The owners obviously thought about every detail to create perfect holidays for you. There is beautiful cosy seating in the corner, an outdoor bath with candles, music, and privacy. And they are selling it! Please, you, cool person, buy it and keep running it like that. :)

They had thought of everything to make our stay as stress free and comfortable as possible. Hugely welcoming on arrival and felt very homely.

A unique location for chalets with each cleverly secluded ! Our chalet, Kereru, was superbly kitted out and there were also plenty of central facilities as well. The outside bath is a unique feature !! It's a short walk into Takaka and the super beaches of Pahora and Tata are a 15 mins drive away.

When we walked into the chalet there was a lovely smell and feel to it. The owners have gone to a lot of trouble to make it an ambient experience, and gone the extra mile with providing nice bathroom toiletries, array of tea coffee choices, tv channel options. Loved the glow worms on site in cave area. Great place to come and chill out.

Quiet, comfortable chalet with excellent facilities. Surrounding gardens were beautifully maintained. Hosts were attentive and accommodating. Location was great, far enough from town so as to be quiet, but close enough to walk if you wish.

Very clean and comfortable with good attention to details missed in some other places. Like scissors in the kitchen, and kitchen paper. The host was very friendly and helpful.

The property comes across like a 5 star chalet with everything you could possibly need. Beautiful serene landscape and quiet and calming. We had bath robes and slippers even an undercover outside bath 🛀 Huge banana tree growing next to the house, everything was perfect except the weather 🌧️

Our stay was amazing! Beat our expectations :) the Owner was very friendly and the attention to detail in the room was awesome - a Bluetooth speaker, outdoor bath and candles, and a glowworm grotto on the property - what more could you want?!

This accommodation is something else. We stayed in Chalet 5 Tui. It was comfortable and cozy, private and equipped with everything you need. - laundry facilities - fully equipped kitchenette - huge, comfortable bed - big bathroom We loved it here and it was the perfect place to end our trip on the South Island.

Private and peaceful chalets, close to town and the salmon farm. Awesome board games to borrow, and fabulous host. Brilliant meander down to the glow worms, and lovely garden views.

Beautiful gardens. Quiet & private

Lovely B&B, the hostess is very nice and welcoming, brought us to the B&B itself, explained everything about the place to us. The B&B itself was a large, well-equipped apartment, clean, with everything you need for a few days' stay. The surrounding yard was wonderful, there is an outdoor bath in the yard. In the summer it is great to take a bath in it. A seating area in the grass above a small stream. Barbecue. We loved the place very much!

De chalets zijn zien er fantastisch uit tussen de rotsen en zijn met oog voor detail onderhouden. De matrassen waren nieuw en sliepen heel fijn! Takaka is een heel leuk plaatsje met een leuke vibe.

Loved it, the chalets are spacious and beautiful, so many great touches. Near the road but very quiet, private outlook, lovely environment. Set amongst rocks and gardens, their own glow worm grotto, with beautiful glow worms. A shared area with a pizza oven and laundry and so many extras available. The hosts are so lovely and accommodating. If you don't love The Rocks, you have no soul.

Beautifully created in a very special natural setting. The chalets are private, spacious and exceptionally clean. Easy safe car parking and helpful hosts.

The unit was roomy and included all we needed for simple food preparation. The bed was comfortable, the unit was clean, and the staff member at the office was friendly and helpful.

The chalets had everything we needed and were absolutely spotless. Leanne was very helpful and lovely and accommodated our request to be close to family who had also booked a chalet there. As a group, we were able to use the communal kitchen, which was ideal. The glow worm cave was also a highlight for the kids.

The best welcome and tour of facilities I have ever had, hands down. I felt very welcome. The chalet was very roomy and comfortable, large bathroom with separate toilet, the shower was so good! Everything I think I would need was provided for in this room and I loved the layout. The room entrance was at the opposite end, away from the carpark - I'm a private person, so really appreciated that. The Glow Worm Grotto was a nice little added feature, and love the little touches to make it a special area. It's only a minute away before driving into the main street of Takaka, so close to shops but far enough to have some peace & quiet.
