Would have loved a better view from the unit , my bad should have asked. Sorry but the bed wss so hard and so uncomfortable. Pillows and bedding was great tho.

Very quiet location, but within walking distance to the thermal pools and the shopping centre.

We didn't like the way that the property was advertised as having Netflix, which was why we booked the property, however it was only accessible if you had a Netflix account to log on to, which we don't. Every other property that we've stayed in in New Zealand that only has access to Netflix if you log on, has advertised the property saying that they have a smart TV with access to logon to streaming services like Netflix.

Location within walking distance to main shops and restaurants, and springs. Laundry facilities available Staff very welcoming. Large lounge and separate bedroom. Lovely views. Comfy bed with electric blankets. Much needed as we stayed in winter. Parking by room.

Bathroom heating not working that well. Had to use spare heater to warm it up. Shower water pressure not that good.

Warm, clean rooms with everything you need. Loved the little touches like hot water bottles on the beds to help keep us warm in winter. Kids were very happy!

The location is fantastic and the rooms are clean and well presented.

The sofa bed is quite uncomfortable for an adult but this is being picky. The rooms was dated but well presented so not a great issue at all.

You could hear everything in the room next door

Great location, within walking distance of pools. Good beds and kitchen. Quiet and peaceful. Great suggestions for things to do from staff and a prompt phone call after we had checked out to tell us we had left something in our room.

Smell of dog as we walked into reception. Dog was lovely and very friendly but smell was a bit much as we walked in. Our room however, was great and it did not affect our stay at all. Would happily go back.

This is a unique property with lovely gardens - we were very lucky to be in Room 9 which had lovely views from the end of the property as well as over the gardens.

Great location. Nice views from the veranda. The manager was nice and friendly and was able to provide a heater for the bedroom as I'd come from the sub-tropics. The lounge had aircon for heating. Nice and quiet at night with block out curtains and a comfortable enough mattress. Could walk to Spa baths and the track for nature walks is a bit further down the street.

Great location, very helpful lady in the office. The room was fantastic, well equipped and comfortable- all you can ask for. We sat on the deck as the sun when down looking over the mountains. Short walk to the thermal pools, the hotel provides towels for you to take. There is a laundry- they will also do your washing for you! Great stay, highly recommended

This is in an ideal spot in the township of Hanmer Springs. A very easy walk to the fantastic Thermal pools. It is a very nice location with lovely views to the mountains from the front deck of each apartment. It had everything we needed for our 2 day stay but we felt the bed needed an upgrade. It was very clean inside the room. Lovely people running the place. Very helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at The Garden Motel in Hanmer Springs. The location is absolutely perfect, with beautiful mountain views and close to everything. It was lovely and quiet, which made it even more relaxing. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed – iron, soap, sugar, fresh towels, and even complimentary milk, which was such a thoughtful touch. The air-conditioning worked perfectly, and we appreciated having all the TV channels available. Compared to other places, this was definitely the most affordable option without compromising on comfort. We also loved that you can borrow towels for the pools – such a convenient extra! The lady at reception was extremely friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend staying here – we will definitely be back!
