We had an awesome stay at Avon Motel this weekend. The motel was very clean, tidy, comfortable and extremely well maintained. It is an older-style motel, which we really appreciated because the rooms are spacious and practical. There was plenty of parking, a kitchen where we could prepare our own meals, and separate rooms that provided extra space and privacy. It’s a great place for both small and large families, or a couple, with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The motel was also very quiet, cosy and relaxing. Excellent location close to town, supermarkets and Maccas/KFC We absolutely enjoyed our stay and would happily stay at Avon Motel again. Awesome staff thank you, Highly recommended!

Absolutely nothing. Close to everything, the spot was perfect

We had booked a one bedroom unit with another bed in the lounge for two couples and were delighted to find ourselves upgraded to a two-bedroom unit. The unit had been recently refurbished and was spotlessly clean. The bed and pillows were a little firm for my liking but the bed in the lounge was softer, and that’s just personal preference. We stayed two nights and the unit was serviced on the second day. The unit had an actual fridge freezer rather than the small fridge you usually get in a motel unit, which was nice. In addition to the table with 4 chairs, there were two comfortable recliner chairs plus the queen bed in the living room.

Comfortable bed, best sleep in a long time. Good shower and towels. Attentive stuff

spotless, impressive! sky tv great! especially as the Winter olympics had just started. Kay was very nice. she was so helpful with my elderly parents who were travelling with us. really appreciated her genuine care and concern.

We stayed before and really like the rooms spacious and clean and bright.

Trucks are loud but to be expected on main road. The rooms were good same as last time we stayed there but a warning, if you are a family that enjoys yarns and laughter, good clean yarns and no smoking, noalcohol or anything involved, just good clean catch up yarns and laughter, be prepared to be assumed to be having a party and a visit from the owner, telling you that guests need to leave by 9:30, it was 5:30 in the avo and we were all fully paid guests of the motel. We were just sitting around talking and laughing, but obviously we must have been talking and laughing too loud. That was a shame, cause we really like that motel but has put us off going back again.

I liked the space, I liked having a bedroom. The dishes and cutlery were clean. The lazy boy chair was a nice bonus, and so were the biscuits. I'm pleased that there was a separate bin for food scraps, we have that at home too. The WiFi was stable.

The body wash in the shower came out of the container one drip at a time. The sofa didn't face the TV.

Beautifully quiet, clean and comfortable room with extra touches for our comfort. Wonderful friendly and helpful host. Good location.

First impression we were putting her out.

I booked online and messaged to let them know I’d check in late and so they organised a late check in without delay. They also called me to make sure that I was okay with the plan. They were really kind and mindful of my needs. 👍🏽✔️👏😀. Exceptionally clean, comfortable bed and great shower.

Except the tv went funny during All Blacks game

Properly was very comfortable exceptionally clean staff were very helpful. Felt at home there spent 3 nights and would highly recommend this property.. heating was good beds had electric blankets.We had 3 rooms and all were perfect.

Very close to where we needed to be. Exceptionally clean which is great. Welcome was great very friendly took an interest as to why we were visiting. Very basic for the cost. Shower pressure was awesome. Lazy boy was very comfortable.

The bed is very firm which i'm not used to so my back suffered and woke several times because of it. But if your used to a firm bed it would be fine. No chocolates as in description which would have been cute being Easter but thats just a nit pick really. Shower like most motels is very low so if your tall like my husband its not much fun haha. We would stay again if needed because cleanliness is our main priority and it was certainly very clean. No garden view as we just saw car park. My husband went for a walk round and it seemed the other units all had back doors and seats but ours only had one exit so we only saw the carpark but again we were hardly there so it was fine really

Clean and comfortable, kitchen well equipped with cooktop and small oven. Room was quite spacious. Close to supermarket. Host was very welcoming.

Despite being located on the main road, the traffic noise abated overnight.

Cooking stove with only two small heating rings out if 4 working. Checked with lady staff, was advised to use low heat or else just use two, not helpful. Warned about heavy cooking as smoke trigger alarm. Kinda makes cooking exp unjoyable but still, we made our fair dinner from the stay. Confused by two wall heater. One heavy duty unit wasn't working. Heater next to TV saved our bods from cold night. Overall a reasonably nice stay.

A bit noisy being located on a busy road which was also busy during much of the night with milk tanker traffic.

The staff where super friendly and the units where immaculately clean. The location is good and within a short walk to town and the water tower.

Clean and tidy. Good self contained kitchen. All basic appliances covered for your convenience. Loved the high pressure shower.

Quite dated and plain. Over powering smell of deodoriser on entering the room. Blue lights around rooms are off putting.

Great space, excellent cooking facilities, large windows adding to feeling of space.. Also enjoyed having a comfortable chair to sit in.

A bit touch and go with approaching the owner, felt like we were going to get a growling every time we approached her. One of the beds had no sheet or duvet on it and we didn't return to the hotel til late so couldn't do anything about it.

The way I was greeted by the lady no hello or come in. First words spoken I don’t know how you booked to come in on Sunday it’s my day off. Didn’t get much better from there.
