Petit déjeuner assez chiche, il n'est pas plaisant de devoir demander à être servi pour obtenir des fruits, du poisson fumé, du fromage, servis en portions réduites. Restauration correcte, mais pas à la hauteur du prix de la prestation. Équipe de serveurs au restaurant de la plage pas très efficace. Un plat servi à la place d'un autre, et une commande oubliée... il a fallu relancer au bout de 30mn pour s'apercevoir que la commande n'avait pas été transmise en cuisine Checkout à 10h, trop tôt, alors que l'établissement est assez peu rempli

Les chambres sont assez spacieuses, la terrasse vue océan est appréciable. Le petit déjeuner est pas mal mais sans plus, il y a le minimum. Par contre, les repas du soir, sont très bons, ce n'est pas un buffet, mais un restaurant à la carte avec 3 ou 4 propositions d'entrées, de plats et 2 propositions pour les desserts. Tous est préparé par un chef. C'est très bon. Etant situé à l'écart de Victoria, l'hôtel est situé en bord de route, pas dérangeant pour les chambres, et il n'y a rien autour donc la location de voiture me semble indispensable. La plage de Beau Vallon est à environ 20 minutes en voiture. Il y a un accès direct sur une plage, ce qui est appréciable.

Le seul bémol est le petit déjeuner.

shower drain overflowed a bit. Six drinking germans ( 3 couples) in the smaller cove, with really loud music spoilt our calm on the 28th . An exit time of ...10 am is really cutting it short !

- Hotel magnifique dans son ensemble : collé à une superbe plage, plusieurs transats et carrément des matelas (très demandés donc à "reserver" tôt le matin en mettant sa serviette) pour profiter confortablement de la piscine et de la plage toute la journée, espace bar très joli avec possibilité de faire du billard - Chambre superbe bien éclairée avec une très belle vue, literie impeccable - Restaurant excellent (petit déjeuner et dîner le soir) avec énormément de choix - Personnel incroyable, comblant tous vos souhaits : avons profité d'un check-in très anticipé le matin et d'une possibilité de prendre une douche après le check-out sans supplément Nous reviendrons !

Hotel nie dość, że lata świetności ma już za sobą i wymaga remontu to położony w dość słabej lokalizacji zarówno pod kątem plaży, ilości roślinności (raczej unikałabym tej części wyspy jeśli chce się zobaczyć piękno Mahe) a także pod kątem braku jakichkolwiek miejsc, w których można coś zjeść, a trzeba mieć świadomość, że jedzenie to najgorszy punkt hotelu, śniadania są wręcz okropne, stare pieczywo, ciastka chyba tygodniowe, pani w czepku, która wydziela po plasterku sera/wędliny, zupełne nieporozumienie, nigdy nigdzie nie spotkałam się czym takim żeby gość nie mógł sobie samodzielnie nałożyć na talerz plastra sera. Kolacje bardzo przeciętne. Raczej fastfoodowe. Ogólnie opinie są mocno na wyrost, nie polecam i osobiście z pewnością nie wrócę.

Everything, a real gem!!

Nothing I could be critical about, maintaining a coastal hotel is always a challenge. I see however that they are trying their best to keep up with harsh conditions of the ocean

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. A perfect choice if you’re not looking for activities, but simply want to enjoy the beach, great food, and a peaceful atmosphere. • Good breakfast buffet — plenty of fruit, fresh baked goods, some cheeses, and eggs cooked to order. • A different dinner menu every day, so we were able to try something new each evening. It included four courses: starter, soup, main course, and dessert. • Friendly and helpful staff — they even helped me organize a birthday celebration. • The hotel is slightly remote, with no shops or cafés nearby. However, this makes the beach quiet, uncrowded, and very cozy. It’s a calm and relaxing place overall. • For the beach, aqua shoes are recommended. To the left (closer to the rocks) it’s great for snorkeling; to the right the entry is gentler and safer if you just want to swim or jump in the waves.

Minor note: You can sometimes hear conversations from the pathway outside the room. However, it’s not an issue since the hotel is small and there are no crowds passing by — most of the time it’s very quiet.

On nous avait dit que c était un hôtel uniquement pour les adultes, or il y avait des enfants. La terrasse de la piscine a besoin d un coup de rafraîchissement : clous sui dorment des planches, super dangereux !

La camera è veramente bella, abbiamo scelto la vista mare e devo dire che e stata una delle piu belle del nostro viaggio. Colazione veramente buona e ricca di scelte, Marco il manager e stato gentile e professionale un vero professionista e bravo a gestire anche il suo personale.

Da rivedere un pochino magari la proposta del ristorante della spiaggia, cercando di curare un pochino di più i dettagli.

Location is great, love being so close to the sea. Very nice pool and lounge area with sound of breaking waves. Beautiful rooms, very friendly staff. We’ve spend a night before going out on a catamaran and again after. That was perfect.

Wunderschönes Hotel an toller Lage. Schöner Strand, super nettes Personal, meega leckeres Essen. Abendessen meist a la Carte, super gut gekocht und angerichtet, Frühstück auch sehr zu empfehlen, es gibt alles was das Herz begehrt!! Super erlebnis von A bis Z!!! Auch am Mittag gibt es in der Strandbar Mittagessen und Snacks, auch hier ist das Essen sehr zu empfehlen!!👍🥳🥳

Solen försvinner redan vid 15-16-tiden pga läget. Tyvärr stänger baren och restaurangen redan kl 22 och man blir hänvisad till rummet och egna altanen.

отдыхали вдвоем с мужем , ноябрь 2025 2 ночи обычный номер и 2 ночи номер с бассейном отель тихий , спокойный , уютный красивый пляж мало чужих (все пляжи на Сейшелах общественные ) ужины за 4 ночи были 2 раза по меню и 2 раза шведский стол , плюс живая музыка завтрак вкусный , но однообразный персонал внимательный , тебя уже все знают , из какого ты номера, все приветливые в последний день вышел шеф повар пообщаться нереальные рассветы номера чистые, уборка ежедневная подготовка ко сну ( как мы потом поняли платная ) вилла с бассейном - вау

пляж очень красивый, но нужно иметь ввиду что заход не везде хороший , больше каменистый обслуживание на баре очень медленное еда на обед в кафе вообще не очень рядом нет никакой инфраструктуры , только маленькой магазинчик в 15 минутах

La situation géographique est juste magnifique !

Le séjour de fin de voyage au Carana Beach, choisi pour clôturer une lune de miel, a été fortement décevant malgré une villa avec piscine à près de 1000 € la nuit. La villa ne correspondait pas aux photos, avec une vue mer totalement obstruée par des palmiers. Plusieurs équipements étaient défaillants (interrupteur de piscine, ventilation bruyante, éléments de chambre abîmés). L’emplacement des villas, proches du parking, entraînait bruit, manque d’intimité et nuisances des voisins. Le Wi-Fi était quasiment inutilisable. Le restaurant, jugé indigne du standing, proposait des plats de qualité médiocre et un espace très exigu. Le service a aussi déçu, notamment lorsqu’un jour toutes les serviettes ont disparu de la villa et qu’il a fallu une heure pour en obtenir de nouvelles. Enfin, les piscines privées sont entièrement à l’ombre dès 15h. En conclusion, le rapport qualité-prix est jugé très mauvais, et l’établissement n’est pas recommandé ; la Villa Kiki est citée comme une alternative bien supérieure et bien moins chère.

La restauration était au top avec une qualité de service et de plat excellente. Le service toujours agréable avec le sourire

Le manque d’entretien de l’hôtel laisse à désirer que ce soit à la piscine, à la restauration et dans les chambres.

Nous avons terminé notre séjour sur l’île de Mahé, plus précisément à l’hôtel Cararabeach, situé au nord de l’île, au bout d'une petite anse, une très belle plage presque privée, propice au calme et à la détente. L’établissement offre un cadre paisible mais relativement isolé. Il est donc conseillé de disposer d’un véhicule pour se déplacer librement sur l’île. Les trajets restent néanmoins possibles en bus. Un arrêt se trouve à proximité de l’hôtel, et l’application SPTC rend l’utilisation du réseau de transport public très simple et pratique. Les chambres sont très confortables  et disposent d’une terrasse avec vue sur l’océan. Nous nous sommes endormis chaque soir au son des vagues venant se briser sur les rochers, un vrai moment de sérénité. La décoration, soignée et épurée, renforce cette atmosphère apaisante. Nous étions en demi-pension. Dans cet hôtel, les dîners sont servis à table plutôt que sous forme de buffet. Les repas, composés de quatre services, sont préparés par un chef qui prend le temps de venir saluer les convives en salle, une attention très appréciée.

Seul petit bémol : les espaces communs (restaurant, zone piscine) mériteraient un peu plus d’entretien courant et quelques réparations mineureures.

The place, the beach, the restaurant (Marcus is an amazing chef), and the staff. All of them was very kind and polite.

During ten days? I found nothing, it was perfect.

Bereits bei der Begrüssung wurden wir herzlich empfangen. Unsere Koffer wurden auf unser Chalet gebracht und das Chalet mit der Aussicht war einfach Wunderschön. Die Einrichtung war schlicht aber sehr passen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bei allen Fragen behilflich. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet vor allem auch das Frühstücksbuffet. Der direkte Standzugang war ein Traum und sehr sauber. Der ganze Pool Bereich ist gepflegt und passt zum ganzen Konzept. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder gehen.

Am Abend war das Servieceperonal sehr ausgelastet, was dazu führte, das zum teil lange auf das Essen gewartet werden musste.

Eine Wohlfühloase der es an nichts fehlt

The establishment is really nice, with a feel of subltle luxury. The location is magnificent, withe every room overlooking the small cove. Food and drinks were amazing.

Nous avons pu passer seulement une nuit en suite privé dans cet hôtel car le budget ne pouvait pas nous permettre plus 😂, mais ce fut magique . Tout est pensé dans le moindre détail, literie au top, piscine privée c était super, le repas du soir et midi un festin. Petit dej buffet à volonté

Les viennoiseries du petit déjeuner n'étaient pas aussi bonnes qu'en France mais ça reste un détail futile.😉

Beautiful room (number 7) with a balcony - the view over the Indian Ocean was fab. Very clean, lovely shower gel and shampoo/conditioner. The staff at the hotel are super helpful and friendly. A particular mention: Thomas and Tabi were super smiley and a pleasure to chat to. Not forgetting Marcus the head chef who made delicious menus every night and who took time to come and chat to his guests (the lamb and the grilled fish were particularly delicious). The cocktails at the bar were lovely and the bar provides fantastic views of the ocean and the pool. The pool was very clean, relaxing area. We appreciated the fact that the hotel manager came to chat with us regularly, he is such a lovely man. We were on half board basis and this worked well for us. A memorable holiday for us on Mahé island.

Nothing to dislike- however the only negative aspect for us was that the hotel charges for still water with your evening meal… 75rsp/bottle - this is not expected from a 4* hotel on a half board basis and rather expensive. Especially when guests will order wines or cocktails with their meals. Something to bear in mind.

The beach at the hotel was absolutely beautiful, and the location was perfect. Our room was stunning and the entire property was well maintained, with lush, beautifully kept grounds. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive—they went above and beyond to assist us with transfers from Mahé to Praslin and even helped us arrange a rental car. We also arrived earlier than expected, and they kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated after a long journey. Overall, a wonderful and seamless experience.

While the room was beautifully decorated for our honeymoon, it would have been lovely to have a few extra touches to make it feel more special—like a complimentary glass of bubbles or a small welcome treat. Also, the bed was a bit too soft for our liking. That said, overall we had a wonderful stay and truly appreciated the warm hospitality.

Ett fantastiskt hotell med underbart läge. Rummet var underbart med fantastisk utsikt. De städade två gånger om dagen! Maten - frukost, lunch och middag - helt fantastiskt. Varje middag (fyra rätter) hade ett tema med väldigt bra variation Vällagat! Stora portioner till lunch. Bra viner. Baren var också ett trevligt ställe att sitta vid på kvällen. Fint poolområde men lite för få parasoll för solstolarna. Stranden är en av de vackraste vi sett.

Excellent hotel and ammenities. We had a room with a pool and it was the best we could ask for. We also had half board included and it was excellent food and variety. Staff is very nice as well, they are educated and usually speak english, french and creole. Hotel also gives you 2 bottles of water per person/per day.

Maybe that there is limited activity to do. Perhaps you could dispose some yoga/pilates classes; also that for dessert you had limited choice, if you could have some icecreams in the buffet it would be good.

We wanted to spend the last couple of days of our holiday in a total relaxation after going around the islands. From the moment we arrived, the staff ensured a seamless check-in and a warm welcome. We arrived a bit earlier but the room was ready after a short waiting time. The room was beautifully designed, and equipped with everything one needs for a comfortable stay. The bed was so cozy. The balcony with the seaview was amazing. The hotel amenities were very good. The pool area was lovely, and the restaurant served very good breakfast and dinner. During our time the place was peaceful and not that crowded. The service was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to make our visit perfect. Special thanks to Rania! Also a little birthday surprise was organized. After the check-out we had a couple of hours to spend before going to the airport, so they let us use the hotel facilities during that time. They also provided a shower room to freshen up before the flight. We really recommend this hotel!

Lets start with the obvious part - the hotel is on the beach and the beach is small but breathtaking. White sand, magnificent ocean water, no reef close by so easy to get in and out of the ocean and no concern of stone fish etc. We spent hours swimming in the sea. The pool area is lovely. Large pool, sun loungers (some shaded with umbrellas) and sufficient loungers for the guests. The hotel does not have many chalets so its never over crowded. We chose the two chalets with private pools which we really enjoyed. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The wine list is reasonable for lunches and dinner.

The food service is slow and you often have to get up and call a waiter to assist during the day. Probably too few staff around the pool area to cater for all the guests. The lunch menu is fixed (never changes) and is limited. It could probably do with an update. The breakfast is buffet and was reasonable. Could so with some additional variety. The dinner is a choice of 3 starters, 4 mains and 2 desserts. The fish at dinner was generally very good, they meat was regularly over cooked and dry. The setting for dinner is lovely with a beautiful view of the ocean, the food is reasonable. The hotel is about 5km either way from nearest village and the roads are narrow and difficult (particularly at night). You would definitely need a car due to the elevating terrain (difficult to walk and cars drive quite fast on very narrow roads)

The hotel could do with a little TLC. Small details like repairs broken umbrellas, fixing ceiling fans and ensuring tv remotes work will go along way.

10 AM for checkout is a total turn off and quite unique. I think its the worst I have in 40+ countries visited. Being charged 200 Euros for one and a half hours (for a late chack out) is a little bit much.

Everything was great, very nice boutique hotel. Only the blanket wasn't put on for the night, everything else was done front and back. Good breakfast and dinner options. Many evenings there was live music band playing. Very clean place, helpful staff.

Had to pay separately for drinks and these were rather pricy. There was no swing on the palm tree. The nearest larger settlement is the city of Victoria ca 9 kilometers away, small shop 10 minutes walk distance.

Stunning views, the chalets just in front of the ocean and beach. Fantastic menu and all necessary amenities available. The most important however is a staff, extremely friendly and kind and helpful. It was an amazing experience to be at Caracas Beach and we already miss the place.

Un des meilleurs hôtels de Mahé. Nous sommes restés 6 jours à Carana Beach Hotel et nous sommes enchantés avec mon épouse. Nous allons en garder un très bon souvenir et nous y reviendrons certainement. Les petit-déjeuners et dîners sont incroyables, les menus changent tous les jours, et une soirée à thème est organisée 1 soir sur 2. Le personnel est souriant, chaleureux, respectueux et à l’écoute tout le temps. Excursion, transport, photo, toutes les demandes sont traitées instantanément. Nous recommandons ce bel établissement. Les prix sont relativement chers dans l’hôtel, mais disons que ça fait parti du jeu..

Our experience at Carana Beach Hotel was a major disappointment, and I strongly urge anyone considering this place to look elsewhere. The hotel is overpriced relative to what it offers, and the service was shockingly inconsistent. While some staff members were lovely and attentive, some were outright rude and disrespectful, making us feel uncomfortable throughout our stay. Despite raising our concerns with management, the inconsistency in service continued and after three days, we decided to check out early. The manager, Marco, initially refused to refund us for the remaining unused nights, which felt incredibly unfair, especially since we were leaving early on our honeymoon to seek a better experience elsewhere. Only after involving Bookings.com did we receive a partial refund for the unused nights, but that process was frustratingly delayed and required many follow-ups. The lack of professionalism ruined what should have been a special stay. In stark contrast, our time at Constance Ephelia, a similarly priced hotel, was outstanding, with customer care as a top priority. It’s disappointing because there was potential for a great stay at Carana beach hotel, but Marco's mismanagement and the rude staff overshadowed everything. If you want a hassle-free holiday that provides good value for money in terms of service and facilities, I highly recommend steering clear of Carana Beach Hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly with support towards activities. The beach whilst small, is beautiful and secluded.

Some parts are aging and in need of repairs - we had a room with a plunge pool and some tiles had dropped off, plus some areas of the building are showing signs of decay. These weren’t an issue as such, but contribute towards not being a perfect 10 score.

The stuff was really kind and helpful, and wanted to help us in the best way. They always had a smile on their faces. The hotel in itself is really good, and has good interior. The beach near the Hotel is also so beautiful, becuse you get the whole beach just for the Hotel and you see the view from the pool, bar and breakfast.

We really enjoyed our stay at carana ! We booked a chalet with pool.. The photos were quite similar to the reality. The room was pristine clean. And spotless after every cleaning service. Since the occasion was our wedding anniversary, we really appreciated that the hotel offered a nicely decorated room, sparking wine, a free dinner and cocktails and a reduction on the spa service ! Also, we found the staff at the restaurant quite nice when they we were a french speaking couple, they automatically switch to french to make us feel welcomed. Also, wonderful beach !!! 5 stars with enough shaded spots to feel like you are alone.

The view from our chalet was obstructed which was quite unfortunate. We could barely see the ocean. In that sense the chalet was overpriced. The prices for the a la carte menu were quite high, not a good quality/price ratio. However the daily dinner theme done by the restaurant was a mean to make a quite digest check. Doing that, the ratio became relly good. Its therefore recommended to only have dinner (and breaskfast) at the hotel. For lunch, you 'll find better options in town !

Rooms were good: - Enough water in the room. - Rooms are clean - Bathroom is clean and comfortable Location is beautiful.

All common/public spaces are not well maintained: - sun-beds at the pool are exposed to rain, hence soaked; - Shutters are broken/dirty; - Blinds at restaurants have mold/dirt marks; - Uncomfortable sofa at the beach restaurant (sitting mattresses are old) Food: - Breakfast is very average (only the fresh fruit was good) - Lunch: ceasar salad was soaked in dressing/mayonaise.
