It was a gorgeous spot, with acres of hiking ground, a heated pool, and a beautiful comfortable bed. The location was excellent, near the college, the Tim Horton’s, and a grocery store. I only wish we had time for a longer stay. Th owner checked me I. And outlined the amenities, she was helpful, kind, and interested in our visit.

Udsigten var en trafikeret vej og der var beskidt. Vi bad om rengøring men fik blot håndklæder. Stedet er gammelt og nedslidt. Har ALDRIG boet et mere støjende sted. Vi kunne hører alt fra dem ovenpå og det larmede konstant fra blæserne fra de andre værelser. Endvidere er der tung trafik udenfor døren. Frygtelig og alt for dyrt sted. Vil ikke anbefale det til nogen overhovedet, Udenfor er der møbler med hynder er det er gamle og klamme. Synes virkelig det var en dårlig oplevelse

Loved how comfortable the beds were and the amazing water pressure and hot heat from the showers. I need both of these items to be great to feel comfortable away from home and they were.

Just needed some clothes or teatowels to wash our bowls and plates a little better and some plastic cups or bowls for young kids would be appreciated

We had a wonderful stay at Lakeview Motel during our trip to Haliburton. The property was clean, cozy, and surrounded by beautiful forest. We even saw deer wandering around the property! The peaceful atmosphere made us feel right at home. We would definitely stay here again.

However, the rooms are smaller than they appear in the pictures. The guest suite is suitable for a group of up to four people, but it may feel crowded with more than that. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Absolutely the nicest hotel in the Haliburton area! The owner, Harsha, is an absolute doll—so warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Her knowledge of the area is amazing, and she went above and beyond to make our stay special. You can really tell she cares about her guests and takes pride in the property. The big family room with bed for up to 8 people, very well equipped and comfy.

Harsha was very pleasant and so friendly. Made us feel very welcome. The room was nice. Having a patio to sit out on looking at the lake was nice.

Small suggestion, have an end table at both sides of the queen bed. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

I think the word Lakeview needs to be updated… And if you stay on the main floor, just know that everybody will be walking by and looking in your room… Especially if you’re in the first room or two like I was

The motel is friendly and well managed. The hosts were both lovely and did their very best to help us. We wanted an extra day to our stay and they fitted us in very comfortably. Their pod with hot tub and deck is stunning and the location is both countryside and close to a store - handy as the free to use BBQs are a must. We can't recommend this motel enough. As travellers from the UK, we enjoyed seeing the wild deer in the grounds and sitting by the firepit during the evening. A must for those needing a short stay or some luxury for a few days.

We absolutely loved our stay. From the moment we arrived we felt so welcome. Our room was spotless, incredibly comfortable and had so many thoughtful amenities. The air conditioning was a lifesaver during the hot weather and we slept great. We were busy visiting family so didn’t have time to enjoy the pool or explore the nearby walking trails. We’ll definitely make time for both on our next visit. We also appreciated that breakfast is available if you let them know by 8pm the evening before. It’s clear the owners take pride in making their guests feel comfortable. Highly recommend and we’re looking forward to our next visit.

With the exception of the two COVID years, I’ve stayed at the Lakeview almost every year since 2018, while celebrating “Christmas in July” with my siblings and our families. Far from getting “tired” the motel seems to actually improve from year to year, as they add amenities and constantly update furniture and fixtures. Although I rated the motel at five stars, four of them go to Harsha Minani, one of the owners, and the only one I’ve met. Dealing with her is an absolute treat.

very spacious room for three people. Loved the location and closeness to downtown. The owners were incredible, so accommodating and nice...delightful people!! We saw wildlife (deer) in the morning and others on our walk through the trails in the evening. Would highly recommend staying here!

The room was well laid out and very clean. Bathroom towels were plentiful and soft and the shower worked well. Microwave was useful and I appreciated actual cups for hot drinks in the morning (rather than cardboard or styrofoam). A pool was available but, unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to use it due to my schedule. Breakfast options looked good but I also didn't get a chance to try them. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

There is a lake across the street but on the ground floor and in the summer, you can't actually see it (not the fault of the motel, of course). The AC was appreciated but as others mentioned, it was very loud and only so effective. Due to the loudness, I had to turn it off at night so it got hot in the room during the night.

A little run down, smelt a bit fusty when we walked in...i brought an air freshener and after that it was fine. There was a fridge and microwave, coffee maker etc but no cutlery or plates (there were cups) AC was welcomed...but was very noisy Would I stay again....probably

Spotlessly clean, hygienic, well maintained, warm and welcoming, convenient, easy to access - facilities readily available. Well managed overall by Jag and Harsha - absolute pleasure interacting with them through out our stay.

Nothing not to like - everything was available and conveniently arranged. Just make sure you carry Bug spray / mosquito repellent but that’s not feedback on the property but rather travel advice.

Very minimal room service ( refreshed the towels daily, clean glasses and mugs most days, however beds not made, floor not swept, bedding not changed even though we were there nearly a week). Cigarette smoking allowed on property outside of rooms, which impacted sitting outside when other guests smoked outside their rooms. A designated smoking area in the property away from rooms would be helpful.

Four of us were on motorcycles so we booked two rooms for three nights. Friendly owners who recommended a couple of places in town to eat. Nice clean rooms. We opted for the use of a hot tub which was nice after a days ride. Breakfast was great at a reasonable price. Would recommend this motel.

Front desk at my arrival was very friendly and welcoming. Room was spotless and up to date, bed very comfortable. Close to the town of Haliburton and its amenities. Looked around at property and saw hot tubs, ample number of BBQ'S ,plenty of outdoor seating.

Lakeview Motel has an excellent location - within a 7-min drive to Fleming College where I was taking courses. Owner, Harsha is very friendly & accommodating. She even cooked me a wonderful Indian dinner: Butter Chicken, Alak Paneer, & homemade Naan, better than most Indian restaurants. I especially enjoyed my nightly glass of wine, while watching the deer feeding.

Lakeview Motel is a gem, it was clean, cozy and was a well cared for room and property. Had a great view of the lake and we loved seeing the wildlife right outside of our room. The owner made us breakfast which was delicious. She was also very personable and accommodating for any thing you would need and made our stay a very welcoming experience. I would highly recommend this motel and would stay again when in the Haliburton area.

We stayed 2 nights. Rooms are very nice and a good size. Owners are really kind and helpful. Great food. Lots of wildlife to see. We had an awesome time on the trails with our ATV’s.

Choses intéressantes à faire sur le terrain.

We found this little gem on the OFSC snowmobile app as we were seeking refuge from a storm boy did we luck out. The owners were so lovely and welcoming. Rooms are updated and so clean, lots of nice little touches. We had our own hot tub outside our door and robes, slippers and towels were provided. Such a sweet touch. We were served a home made breakfast of bacon, eggs, omelets and toast the next morning and it was delicious. We had a great experience and would go back here in a heartbeat. Lovely lovely owners xo

We arrived and checked in . It was great to pull right up to our door. The room was lovely clean smelled fresh. Bathroom was immaculate. They have everything we needed. If it had been summer The view would have been spectacular. We ordered breakfast to be delivered to our room it came hot fresh and tasty. Great experience

This is a great spot to stay close to town and a short drive to the ski hill. The rooms are immaculately clean and cozy. The beds are very comfortable. Some rooms have hot tubs. The owners are fabulous. The place is well cared for. They also allow dogs in certain rooms. Highly recommend the in house breakfast. We will stay again the next time we go to sir Sam’s. Very happy with our experience.

I expected nicer facilities for the price I paid

A very clean, well-run motel with spacious and modern rooms. We were in a 2nd floor room. The room had two queen beds with a table and generous seating area, a small fridge, a microwave and a drip coffee maker. We parked by the door (at the back of the motel when facing it from the highway), and there was a door out on to the balcony at the other end. The room had very tall cathedral ceilings with exposed large beams and a tongue-in-groove ceiling. It was very charming. The motel has a large outdoor pool (we were there in late December, so it was closed), also hidden from the highway, and some of the ground floor units have hot tubs on their patios (which are kept operating in the winter). We heard no road noise at night (the highway, County Road 121 that connects Haliburton and Minden is very lightly used at night).

Hosts were welcoming. They provided excellent suggestions of local activities and restaurants. They have thought of extras like providing robes when using the hot tub. A big surprise was all the wildlife that visits the property - deer, wild turkeys and ducks - all of whom were lovely to watch and absolutely harmless, a real treat.

The king bed was very comfortable and room was clean. The motel is conveniently located to Fleming College which is why I stayed there. I would stay there again.
