Reviewed Sep 19, 2026Old-fashioned family-run hotel with lovely warm welcoming staff 😁 - on harbour front fairly near (v short taxi-ride) to port where ferries dock from Italy. Short walk from Bus Station for buses to Athens, Patras, Korinthos, Ioannina etc. Near excellent bakery & a nice bar/restaurant called ‘Chocolat’.

The shower room could to with an update, the toilet was a bit stained and smelt of urine. No fly screen and there were a lot of mosquitoes.

Reviewed Sep 10, 2026Bin am Abend mit der Fähre aus Ancona angekommen. Das Motorrad konnte ich in der Hotelgarage abstellen. Café zum frühstücken sind gleich nebenan. Im Zimmer gab es gratis Wasser und ein paar Snacks. Personal war äußerst freundlich.

The cleaning can be improved and the furniture inside is old.

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026Idéalement situé au départ ou à l'arrivée des ferrys. Chambre un peu vieillotte mais fonctionnel. Les hôtes sont très sympathiques et disponibles, plein de bon conseil. Le grand parking derrière l'hôtel est un vrai plus.
La salle de bain est quand même assez vieillotte, ça mériterait une petite rénovation 😅

Reviewed Aug 19, 2026The staff was excellent, and the room was clean. Even though breakfast was not included, they provided snacks for the whole week. The location of the hotel is so easy, and they have parking for cars. They have modern air conditioning.
The WIFI was a little bit slow, but most of the time it was OK. Maybe, but this is just a maybe, a shower enclosure would be nice in the bathroom, but it was not a big issue.

Reviewed Aug 14, 2026The absolute highlight of our stay was the incredible warmth and hospitality of the owners and staff. They genuinely could not do enough for us — they are the kind of people who would give you the clothes off their own backs if they could. We were only staying for one night while transiting through to Paxos, but they still went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, had everything we needed and enjoyed our time there. Their kindness was so genuine and made us feel incredibly welcome. I honestly cannot express enough how beautiful the staff were. This is true Greek hospitality at its best and something we will always remember.
The hotel itself is a little dated, but honestly, this didn’t matter to us at all. Everything we needed was there, and the incredible warmth and hospitality of the owners more than made up for it.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ ευγενικό και μας έκανε να νιώσουμε πολύ άνετα. Το δωμάτιο ήταν πολύ καθαρό και το κρεβάτι μεγάλο και αναπαυτικό. Είχε ωραίο μπαλκόνι με θέα τη θάλασσα. Επίσης παρεχόταν πρωινό και κρύα μπουκαλάκια με νερό στο ψυγειάκι.
Αν και όχι μεγάλης σημασίας, ήταν λίγο δύσκολο να κάνεις ντους στη ντουζιέρα καθώς δεν υπήρχε κουρτίνα.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026L'hotel è a due passi dal porto ed ha un parcheggio privato. L'accoglienza è stata molto calorosa e le attenzioni molto piacevoli (acqua, limonata, merendine). Vicina anche al market e a posti dove poter mangiare.
Migliorerei un po' la pulizia del letto (il resto era impeccabile). Purtroppo tra il topper e il materasso c'erano diversi capelli e il lenzuolo aveva una macchietta di sangue. Sicuramente non è stato smacchiato a dovere ma il lenzuolo era pulito e profumato.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026I was just passing-through the town for the one night, and opted to stay here for its apparent convenience and price. However, upon entering it felt more like a family-run hotel. Staff very welcoming and helpful. Situated just the opposite side of the road from the ferry-terminal, too. Good sized room with all the necessary amenities that one would require. Many original, interesting 60's details have survived intact inside, too, for any architecture-lovers.
No complaints.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Η τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου είναι αναμφισβήτητα εξαιρετική, καθώς σε 2΄ είσαι οδικώς στο λιμάνι και σε 5΄ με τα πόδια. Επίσης, υπάρχει άνετο πάρκινγκ στην πίσω πλευρά του ξενοδοχείου, οπότε το αυτοκίνητο δεν είναι εκτεθειμένο. Το ξενοδοχείο συνολικά είναι τύπου '70s ή αρχών '80s, ολοφάνερα παλιού τύπου, όταν κυρίαρχη ήταν η αντίληψη ότι το ξενοδοχείο "είναι μόνο για τον ύπνο", οπότε βαρύτητα είχαν μόνο η τοποθεσία και η τιμή. Σε αυτό, λοιπόν, το ξενοδοχείο παραμένει συνεπές, διότι όντως τα 55 Ε για μία βραδιά σε μόνοκλινο (που εγώ χρειαζόμουν) είναι μια "value for money" επιλογή, ιδίως σε συνδυασμό ότι το Wi-Fi και το πάρκινγκ συμπεριλαμβάνονται στην τιμή. Το προσωπικό ήταν ευγενικό, ενώ η reception λειτουργεί όλο το 24ωρο, πράγμα (όπως και η διάθεση parking) που δεν είναι καθόλου αυτονόητο για τέτοιας κατηγορίας ξενοδοχείο και γι' αυτό αξιολογείται παραπάνω.
Η βαθμολογία στο "booking.com" του μ.ο. των σχολίων στο 8,6 είναι εντελώς παραπλανητική, αν την διαβάσει κανείς μόνη της και όχι σε συνδυασμό με την αξιολόγηση του ξενοδοχείου ως "2 αστέρων". Η πραγματική εικόνα του "Hotel Oscar" αποδίδεται στη φράση ότι για ξενοδοχείο 2 αστέρων (και συγκρινόμενο μόνο με αυτής της κατηγορίας τα ξενοδοχεία) εκτιμάται στους 8,6 βαθμούς. Παραβλέποντας, επομένως, τις προφανείς (κι αναμενόμενες) υστερήσεις ενός παλιού ξενοδοχείου κατηγορίας 2 αστέρων, ως αδυναμία του θα έβρισκα την μη προσφορα δυνατότητας πρωινού, ακόμα και με χρέωση. Λυπηρό, αν και μεμονωμένο μάλλον, ήταν ότι η reception ξέχασε την αφύπνισή μου.

Reviewed Jul 24, 2026Sehr freundliches Personal, die Klimaanlage hat einwandfrei funktioniert, das WLAN hat auch für einen Zoom-Call gereicht. Lage direkt am Hafen für die Fähre nach Korfu unschlagbar nahe.
