Salle à manger problématique
Location and very picturesque
Shame the pub and hotel in the square are closed down
Room excellent bathroom just needed a decent walk in shower. Breakfast was cold. I always stay here because of its fabulous location.
A shower over the bath was not good. The cold breakfast was a big disappointment.
La cama era comfortable y el entorno agradable
no tenía desayuno
The staff was lovely , quick to sort the problem out. The area was also very nice.
The first room that was given to us was full of ants, windows left open, doors left open it wasn’t a great first impression .
The room was very clean, and was actually the room we stayed on our Wedding night , loads of memories.
Needs an update with the furniture, new carpets etc. Would stay again though as this was the hotel we got married in 22 years ago! The location is spot on , it’s a shame the owners haven’t done much to improve the appeal of this hotel, but we will continue to come here, as the hotel is very special to us.
It was convenient for the town
The food was not good
We liked that the rooms where together on the ground floor with access to the garden/river
Rooms dated and unloved. No information about TV. Showers not working right and TV not working in 1 room. We was here 5 years ago and standards have gone down. Staff doing there best but not a clue really
Parking was good, staff very friendly, food ok.
not much toilet paper left on the roll and no spare, shower and toilet area very small, and not easy to negotiate when the the shower curtain is constantly sticking to you. After the morning shower sludge from the waste backed up into the shower tray, not very good, told the receptionist but no money was offered off the room price
Everything, really.
I hoped there would be USB plug in the room.
Convenient location with nearby bus service. Comfortable bar area. Breakfast was ok but I considered it expensive for what was provided
I had a single room which was very small and very hot at night. Supplied fan was noisy. I failed to get any hot water from the bathroom basin and had to run the shower for a long time before any hot water appeared. There was also a lot of noise from hotel guests during the night
It was a place to sleep.
Bar shuts early, windows are very thin, breakfast was tiny for £12.00. Carpet felt and looked dirty. Room service never changed sheets. Shower was very bad took ages to wash. Toilet wasn’t the best too smelt like ass before stopping there.
Just spent a few days in this nice hotel, from check in you had to find your own way to bedroom which was outside across a yard and up an outside stairs to a separate block, to be fair room was nice but dated, bed was comfortable, tea and coffee & Electric Kettle supplied. Bar area doubles for dining and is nice Lovely outside space by the river, but all this area in need of updating . We had dinner on a few nights and food is excellent. Little village setting nice for a quiet break. JPM
Avoid!!! Seemed nice on approach but went downhill from there! Should have checked other reviews first!
Rooms are dirty, stained, furniture falling apart, light fixtures not attached to the wall and rotten windows, strong foul smell, pictures are deceiving and when asked for a different room we where told we can change rooms for a fee (that were no better) and that they didn’t see any issues with the room. Refused us a refund and drove home 3hours ruining my son’s 16th Birthday.
Breakfast was excellent
Bigger rooms shower was tiny
Location and the facilities in general…. Was too hot this summer and i believe Uk will need air conditioning in hotels very soon.. but it is not the hotel fault.. it was absolutely amazing
Not about the hotel, it was perfect.. but next to it There was a boat in the river number 44 that the man had a big dog living inside tight with a rope.. all day night.. it was uncomfortable to see this abuse everytime i sit outside … i am surprised as this area is so animal friendly and nobody did anything about it.
The room was very large with a shared patio overlooking the river. Greast for a sundowner! The room appeared to be spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were OK and served in a beautiful oak-panelled room. Great location - by the river and only 20 minutes walk to Shepperton station for frequent trains to London. 10 minute walk to the passenger ferry and D'Oyly Carte island.
Although the room was fine internally (apart from a very dated bathroom and cracks in the WC and sink,) it was located in a separate annex which, externally, looked like an old-fashioned motel. Not a great first impression. Sometimes seemed to be a shortage of staff.
Lovely rooms, not too sophisticated but clean and comfortable. Nicely a little old fashioned too.
Sad to see neighbouring hotels, pubs having to close down
Location is stunning. The entrance was beautiful. Was just let down by the room
Room was dirty door didn't close properly. Bathroom was dirty dead flies on window n dirty blinds
Lovely location and great staff. The swans and ducks out on the water were so nice to watch.
The carpark was a little tricky but managed to get a spot both nights.
I live in shepperton for 34 years I've never been to little hotel it's a gem perfect staff are aboustly lovely intentive polite it's a lovely gem w lovely food I cannot I have not visted before I be defo visiting more often bit don't change this lovely little gem thx you making my afternoon visit today
Great location, nice room with terrace access overlooking river. Easy parking and a short stroll to the lock and riverside pub.
As others have stated the water pressure is poor, maybe they should fit electric showers .. staff seemed a little short staffed. Food was ok - passerable but could do with a bit of an upgrade to suit what could be an amazing venue.
Absolutely nothing!
Bad staff, dirty, waking up in the early hours to drug dealing in the car park, the fact that the rooms are rented out for an hour at a time (for reasons that were obvious) Couldnt eat breakfast as it was filthy in the dining room, dirty surroundings and utensils. I complained to the manager through email as was told that was the only way to contact her, was given a couldnt care less reply to my email. Checked out after 1 night of our 3 days, told no refund will be given, horrendous place! Stay away!!!
Warren lodge is a quaint find, relaxing and with a lovely garden that backs onto the river. Our room was small but perfect for two people.
The room was very hot, however it was during the heat wave.
Beautiful location, great food, Quiet nights sleep, comfy bed, friendly helpful staff, value for money, handy location near an event we were attending. Lots of free parking. Perfect.
Brilliant location
A few areas need updating
Lovely charming hotel on the river, good location
We were put in an annexe of the hotel which our room backed onto the carpark and on the ground floor so didn’t really want the windows open and it was hot when we were there
We had a short 2 night stay. The addition of a fan to the room was a godsend as it was glorious weather during our stay. It was a quiet, peaceful place in a beautiful setting. We didn't spend much time there but everything was spot on.
Nothing, everything was great.
All of it
Nothing
The location next to the river was spot on
They refuse to give a vat invoice and palm you off , can't print it .at check in , don't know how to on check out , you need to speak to this person on post departure emails . ...wouldn't stay again as this is now a cost to me not the business.. shame as the locations nice , and I now have a regular customer in that area
The location was the only thing good about this stay.
The rooms are tiny and really old fashioned with zero aircon and full of knatts all inside the windows, also when you open the toilet door you can barely fit inside and shut the door at the same time.
Location Character
Nothing
No air con. Dated decor. Dirty.
Staff great meal goo and breakfast good
Room required re decoration and had poor ventilation
It had parking.
Uncomfortable pillows. I was on the top floor and it was seeltering. I slept poorly snd was Uncomfortable. They provide a fan, but I was laid on my bed sweating. The switch on the kettle wouldn't stay down.
Close to Thorpe Park and free parking. Lovely views overlooking the river
The room was so hot but we understand that it's hard to keep a room cool in this heatwave. Also breakfast everything was deep fried including the mushrooms so made it very greasy. Also would be nice to have some fresh fruit available at breakfast
Big rooms, nice cosy fell to the place.
Not milk left with the tea in the room. Not enough towels.
Comfortable bed, good shower, velux window
Tired rooms
Expensive for the standard of room. No shower curtain.
The rooms were very basic for the price paid
We had a riverside view and the room was spacious and clean. We also had breakfast and the breakfast was really nice. The grounds were nice and the hotel staff were very helpful. We would definitely stay again
Only thing i would say is the tables at breakfast were very sticky. This was very minor but its the only thing i can fault about our stay. Parking was limited but we managed to get a space finally. First come first serve parking so get there early
The peace and calmness of the surroundings and the space provided. Friendly and helpful staff.
Lack of air conditioning in the room
Clean, nice building, good location.
The shower. For at least 5 minutes it was a cold trickle. It warmed up eventually, but it was still only a trickle. Also, when I arrived, I introduced myself, and was met with 'you can't check in yet'. I'd prefer to be told 'unfortunately, you can't check in yet', followed by 'feel free to wait in the lobby, or come and have a drink/something to eat in our bar'. I don't like hospitality staff to be officious/negative.
The room
Rooms were nice. Big beds. We had a garden room. Double doors opened onto little outside area a view of big lake
The shower didnt get hot. I had to run a bath instead, which stil wasn't as hot as I liked but defo warmer that shower
The room was amazing & patio door on to terrace
Friday night large group of people on terrace ti early hours shouting moving furniture around Kept us awake & we needed a early night to go to festival on the Saturday
Breakfast was good. location was good. could do with more parking
pillows were very hard
Location fine did not have breakfast but room service for evening meal good
Very convenient for our purpose
When ever I stay for work or pleasure in London, the only place I stay is Warren Lodge as it meet all my / our requirements. For the very first time the breakfast was poor. Already booked again and hopr the breakfast gets back to its normal high standards.
Breakfast was poor for the first time out of my / our many stays.
Location
The flow of the shower was extremely poor, if I wasn't already half in I would have asked to change rooms as it was like trying to shower with a kids watering can and the temperature could not be adjusted luckily it was a very hot day and the shower was stuck at stone cold.
Fabulous location with riverside terrace
Mediocre food
Liked the fact that it was surrounded by water. Room was spacious. Liked the traditional parts of the building.
Lost of greenfly in the bathroom. Pillows were really poor quality-no substance. Tv sound kept going up and down
I love this hotel, it’s charming and the team in the hotel are really lovely.
Not all rooms have very good water pressure. On this stay I could hardly wash my hair as the pressure was so low.
Friendly staff, good location
Breakfast - limited
wonderful location,, peaceful and scenic
was woken by an extremely load fire alarm
Our ‘Executive’ room was on the ground floor facing directly onto the drinks terrace. Rowdy drinkers sitting literally inches from our large patio window. Absolutely no privacy and loud noisy loutish behaviour well into the evening. The staff were surly and had a limited grasp of the English language. The property was surrounded by two other ex pubs which were derelict and boarded up. The hotel itself was tired and in general need of some TLC.
Lovely location right near the river with tables and chairs over looking the river.
Parking is very difficult as no private carpark so if busy can be hard to get a space but to be fair they do tell you this when you book.
Cheap and lovely location
All good
The hotel is very dated. The bed was uncomfortable, I could feel the springs in the mattress. Room was fairly clean but main public parts of the hotel weren’t clean. The breakfast eating area wasn’t very clean and the cutlery and crockery was grubby. Aside from the main chef, they had one member of staff trying to do everything which meant tables sat with dirty plates all morning. They need to hire more staff. We only had 1 towel in our room for 2 people. We came with other couples and two of other rooms had no hot water. Definitely not worth the £124 cost, and even that was discounted because we were attending a 50th birthday for the evening which held at the venue and so the guests were offered discount. I wouldn’t stay here again. I was happy to provide feedback on checking out but no one was on the reception all morning.
The area
I'm astounded. The manager should be a politician not in 'hospitality' I was glad when I was speaking to her that two other guests checking out supported me and said how awful they thought the hotel was. There are apologies and sincere apologies. If a room is that unfit to let then I should have been part-reimbursed for the night I had stayed without a decent bathroom. The other staff were very nice but the manager Sarah is ultimately responsible and I've never heard a less sincere apology. Her teeth were practically gritted. I don't understand why me wanting some of my money back for one of the four nights I stayed where the shower and toilet seat were broken (I'm not even going to start about the mould because I sadly didn't take a picture) is beyond the realms of reasonable. Why is the guest having to do the maintenance report? It's not good enough and it's very sad that the person who is ultimately responsible is unable to act in a kind, reasonable and welcoming manner, literally her job. It may be the hotel is on its last legs and struggling to survive, but all the more reason to look after the guests that you do have. That's three potential repeat customers that I know have been lost and I am certain we won't be the the only ones.
Homely feel, good food, lovely views, comfy beds
No lift
For me needs it my stay was just right. I had an excellent arrival after a long drive. Very good fresh cooked lunch in a comfortable seating area. Beautiful very old building , hence well lived in. Clearly upgrading had been done, and a tad more planned Im sure. Thank you Warren.
The building next door, not your problem!
Riverside location
This is supposedly an hotel. You cannot hold regular paying hotel-guests hostage to your extra income-generating stuff like loud late-evening events. So the worst thing was: a wedding booking with really loud music until after midnight. Management were not open / honest in warning other guests - BEFORE they booked and paid - that they would get no sleep that night. I had paid for 4 nights. But I had to book elsewhere at short notice. The Warren Lodge ABSOLUTELY owes me, and all other affected guests, a no-quibble refund. Also: no air conditioning. So the top-floor bedrooms were a furnace in the heatwave. And very surly staff with zero customer service mentality or even basic manners.
leaving, knowing i would never have to return
staff wasn’t very helpful, when there was no parking on site suggested to park around the corner on double yellows. had to park in a car park 5 min walk away with a 5 year old. had a food reservation which they told us to go else where as they had a wedding party there even though i had rang 3 times they could of said before i booked. our room was directly above the party that went on till 12.30-1am. we had to open windows due to heat and was given a fan which didn’t do much, could of put fan on before to cool room on the top floor. staff just repeated same thing they couldn’t help. would never return here.
We where helped by Abdi who was really attentive, we arrived after midnight as a last minute stay due to plans changing and highway closure and Abdi was truly a blessing, we had a lot of suitcases as we where flying the next day and he reassured us by checking on our car throughout the night. Really really lovely guy. Thank you so much Abdi for all your help we truly appreciate all the effort you went through for us.
The location is excellent. Calm and peaceful . Ideal location for visiting RHS Wisley
Gorgeous location and the staff were really welcoming and friendly
The toilet smelt of asparagus for some reason
I arrived about 3p and had to leave at 6:30 the next morning so I wasn’t able to spend nearly as much time enjoy the Warren Lodge as I would have liked to. But, I did have their AMAZING cheeseburger and a cocktail from room service and the friendly staff let me break into the breakfast just a little earlier than the 6:30am start since I had to depart at 6:30am. The only disappointment was the unstable wifi signal and that the helpful property “cheat sheet” didn’t consider include how to dial the property’s phone number from my phone service from another country, which meant that calling for room service was me walking to the restaurant. It wasn’t a total buzzkill, though. It gave me the opportunity to enjoy a few minutes of the lovely weather! I’d love to stay with my husband next time!
The wifi signal was very unstable
Friendly staff. Nice bar resturant area
Poor BB No AC No thermostatic shower valve
Beautiful establishment in a lovely location on the banks of the Thames. Lovely patio area and garden. Good-size bed. Good cooked breakfast
The water in my room was only warm. I did run the water for a long time to fill a bath. Applied evening and morning. Disappointing reaction from reception when I informed them in the morning. They suggested I could have informed reception at 11pm the previous night. I hadn't been in the mood to get dressed, gather my possessions and possibly find a different room, In any case my neighbour experienced similar lack of hot water. It showed a lack of quality control to issue a room with no hot water. Also the cistern handle was flopping around and felt as if it might break.
View of the river behind hotel
Parking can be difficult
Great location.
In need of some TLC.
Really lovely terrace by the water
Lovely staff and beautiful riverside terrace
we were going to the village feat ,so the location was good . Breakfast was more than adequate . Room was just spacious enough . The setting on the river was divine , the good weather was helpful in making the weekend a truly memorable one , thank you .
Very reasonable price and very good
Nothing to dislike about the property
Easy location, close to airport for returning rental car. Gorgeous room- ground level- right on the water. Perfect set up. Great service.
Nothing
Great quiet location for Surrounding area by the river
Poor shower with little pressure. Hotel is very dated with stains on carpet and furniture. Needs some investment
The location was excellent
Could do with a bit of an upgrade
Easy to find nice location. Easy check in and out
Nothing
Loved the location. Breakfast was very good, room was cosy and clean, lovely view
Shower, water flow very slow. Needed a coat stand/hooks just behind door on wall
Nice big room , with a back deck.
Limited kitchen 😔
Easy access, with lots of parking. Staff were great. The main bed was huge which was a massive plus considering how hot it was that day.
The room was very hot (due to the weather, which was outside of the hotels control obviously). We were given a small fan. Another fan would have been fantastic but I can't fault the place for this as I didn't ask for another one to see if there was one available.

The view of the river Thames
The double bed had human poo on the sheet and when I told the receptionist/ bar person his reply was how do we know it wasn’t me that pood on the bed. I have photos of the sheet and I am requesting a full refund
The friendly staff and location
Minor issues for example the lock on our door didn't lock, the teaspoons in the room were literally sticky (disgusting), the hair dryer didn't work and the sink needed a plunger
Convenient for london
personale molto gentile e professionale
Location and staff ( well done Leo!)were excellent! Room was a lovely size with great outlook over the river.
The hotel, particularly the bedroom, was cold. To the point it affected my sleep. The ham and cheese toastie was v poor. Chips were good. My companion did not enjoy his breakfast - i didnt have breakfast so cannot comment! Hotel needs a bit of tlc.
Good size room
Hot water took over 5 minutes to warm up and the plug in the bathtub doesn't seal so couldn't have a bath. There is parking but gets busy quickly. Room key stopped working the day before check out
Staff were great. It was a relief to find such friendly and helpful staff after a long journey. Breakfast was good too.
No sound insulation at all. Very noisy when people were walking through the corridors even if they weren't speaking.
Cute, clean with exceptional view over the lake.
Nothing really.
The view from the club room was beautiful. Overlooking the boating lake every morning having a cup of coffee was so relaxing
The Club Room was not as expected for the extra £100. It was more of a standard room with a river view. No signal to watch TV, even after telling the guy on reception and he came to tune it in but wiped all the channels off and still no signal. Thermostat was broken on the radiator, had to hold the button down on the kettle until it boiled for it to stay down. Stayed for the Murder Mystery night and we where not sent the menu via email so did not know what the 2 course meal was until the day and there was no options, just fish cakes for a starter and chicken breast stuffed with peppers wrapped in parma ham, lumpy mash and some broccoli and carrots. No alternative for people who don't like what was given.
The size of room was very good. Location was superb. Breakfast was excellent. On site parking.
The TV was not working. Told reception who sent the maintenance man he could not get it to work. Central heating did not work but it was late when we discovered so told reception on checkout
