I liked the hotel because the room was clean and comfortable, the location was convenient, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The facilities were also well maintained, and overall, it was a pleasant and relaxing stay.

The hotel lighting was too dim, which made the room feel quite eerie at night. Maybe the hotel could consider replacing the lights with brighter ones.

The room was spacious and clean,the breakfast was good with many varieties.The location was in the center of the town. surrounded by the mall and market.Near to Mydin mall.

The bed was especially comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. The hotel’s location is very convenient, with easy access to restaurants, shopping areas, and other attractions around Kuantan. Everything I needed was just a short distance away. Overall, Cathayana Hotel offers great value for money. I truly enjoyed my stay and would definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Kuantan. fast check in and out process

The breakfast food was bland. they had options but could improve on the taste. Breakfast area is at the hotel lobby, which i find it not comfortable as it is an open space and it was hot. Aircond was not functioning or nit sufficient to cater the area.

the location of this hotel is very near to everything that I need. Although it is at the central, it is not so noisy. you can just walk to the nearby restaurant if you are not used to drive in Kuantan.

Kebersihan mengecewakan. Hujung2 dinding bawah kat toilet kotor. Tempat persalinan pun kotor. Belakang mangkuk tandas atas lantai pun kotor.

The staff are friendly. Location is very convenient. It closes to restaurants, markets, ATM and a laundry shop. Nice local breakfast, too.

The bathroom is spacious. I like the design, but the water tab is wobbling and leaking. The shower-head is fixed in the ceiling that I cannot get to use it.

The bed is comfy. The room also provided prayer mat and accurate qiblah signage at ceiling. The aircond also super cold and love it. The bathroom is clean and nice hot shower. Would be nicer if provide hair dryer as well

- The TV is quite old not so clear to watch. - its very funny that mini refrigerator is in the bathroom. - Rotten floor - only single key card provided, its very difficult when stay with more than 1 person with only have single room card. - The lobby is not well furnished and decorated made looks abandoned office workspace. - breakfast would be nice if provide toaster for breads. Not so good with the cheap sausage, no cereals breakfast. - Noise pollution at night where all JDM cars ramming at the street and loud bang & exhaust.

There is an illegal car and motor race in front of the hotel at night, too noisy and we cannot sleep well. Housekeeping was below par- hair on the floor as we checked in and when moved to new room, leftover bottle and drinks by previous guest were not removed and cleaned. Ground floor breakfast area was stuffy and barely had any airconditioning.

The buffet breakfast is not so good. The room can be cleaned better and the curtains are full of dust. Air cond in the living room need service to be cooler.

Some stains on the bed sheet and pillow cases. Room too big and slightly dark. Fridge is in the toilet/shower room. Not very secure as anybody can use the lift to go to the rooms' level even though the hotel issued security card to enter the rooms, the lift does not require the security card to be scanned. Only has fixed rain shower in the bathroom, no hand shower head, very inconvenient. Only 1 electrical power socket beside the bed, not enough power socket.

my hotel windows been knocked a few times at 12.00 midnight…luckly nothing happen to my kids…next time, note to receptionist…jangan bagi bilik yang bermasalah kepada guest yang ada anak kecil…pity to small children if anything bad happen to them…tq

The staff were very friendly, even though I checked in quite late at around 10pm. The room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast provided was also good. I would definitely come back here the next time I visit Kuantan.

There was nothing to dislike about this property.

There is water damage on the walls in the hallway, mould on the bathroom tiles. Cracked sink. My bathroom also had a sewage smell my first day - it wasn’t so strong that it came into the room but could smell it whenever I stepped inside, it appeared/disappeared over my stay. Could connect to hotel wifi but there was no internet. The night I arrived it was a problem and the morning after I did call reception to tell them about this problem but there was no fix, had to use my hotspot for the whole of my stay for four days three nights. I tried to connect everyday. Mattress is firm. Pillows are flat. As others said, the room is pretty dark at night - it would be difficult for you to study or work. There’s no table lamp and four dim/orange lights in each corner. Noise wise - our rooms on the 7th floor (there’s only two more floors above us) they were facing the main road and on a Saturday night, could hear motorbikes revving/speeding up and down. I’m a fairly deep sleeper so it was okay for me once I fell asleep around 11pm but for my friend it went on until 2am. Every night we were there you can hear the traffic (Sunday and Monday too) but it was busiest on the weekend. I did ask the hotel in advance for a quiet room not facing the main road and they said they would take note - don’t know if that was the best they could do or if they forgot. Also everytime someone along the hotel corridor opens their door - an alarm sounds until they close their door. For work/study purposes I’m not sure if I would stay here again.

Breakfast is okay. Had variety, Malaysian staples. Parking wasn’t a problem when we arrived but we also didn’t leave the hotel much. Check in was easy. Room is very spacious and clean. Towel was stained but they brought me a new set. Water is quick to heat up and good water pressure - but my friend’s room had barely any hot water even with the tap turned all the way and the water heater switched on.
