Shams Hotel & Dive Centre

Perfect location for diving. It's 10-minute walk to Lighthouse but silent in the night. Diving center is located in the same hotel. Diving center has a lot of space for equipment preparation.

I came after midnight because of delayed flight. Reception was closed. I spent about an hour to check-in.

The view and the house keeping guys work and doing the rooms very well. And first of all the reception girl and her brother are so welcoming 🙏 and lovely. Thank all

Personalet var super søde. Der var rent og pænt, primitivt, men der var hvad man skulle bruge, og et lille køleskab. Vi havde booket to nætter, men besluttede at blive en ekstra nat, det var ingen problemer, vi fik et nyt værelse med det samme. Alt var godt.

Vi havde valgt hotellet for dens beliggenhed, men det lå længere nede end på booking.com. Så først havde vi meget svært ved at finde det. Var nødt til at bruge Google Maps og ikke adressen fra booking. Vi ville hellere bo midt i byen. Morgenmad restaurant var ikke noget at prale med, manden smilede aldrig. Vi skulle selv være opsøgende, for at finde ud af hvad der var med i prisen.

This place stole my heart. There was a bit of a mix-up with the room but they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. The staff is absolutely amazing from the reception to the kitchen to the dive centre, everyone was genuine and honestly they were the highlight of my trip.

دى تانى مره اقيم فى فندق شمس ..موقع الفندق ممتاز على اول الممشى وجنبه كل المطاعم يمين وشمال .. القعده بتاعه كافيه البحر ممتازه وبيتقدم فيها الفطار كل يوم صباحا وكان كافى ولطيف .. القيمه مقابل المال للفندق جيده جدا .. فندق مناسب لو رايح عشان الغطس لان سعره مناسب وعنده مركز غطس خاص بيه

We had a wonderful stay in Dahab! The bungalow was very spacious with comfortable beds, which made our stay very relaxing. The cleanliness was excellent — the staff maintained both the bungalow and the entire hotel area every day. We especially appreciated that they allowed us to check in early since we arrived very early in the morning. The staff were extremely kind, friendly, and welcoming throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel for a great and pleasant stay in Dahab!

We really enjoyed staying at Shams as the team from hotel and dive center was super nice. They really made my vacation worth wile as everything was so uncomplecated. Our room was lovely with a great view.

I had a wonderful experience with Shams Diving Center and felt compelled to share it. From the moment I arrived, the team’s welcoming attitude truly stood out — they make you feel less like a guest and more like part of a family. The room service was excellent, always attentive and prompt, ensuring everything was comfortable throughout my stay. What impressed me the most was the professionalism of the staff; they work seamlessly together, creating such a warm and positive atmosphere. They also go the extra mile by offering helpful auxiliary services, making everything smooth and stress-free — whether it’s organizing activities or simply making sure you’re enjoying every moment. Overall, the combination of great service, genuine hospitality, and a strong team spirit made this stay truly memorable. Highly recommended!

Sauberkeit Renovierungsbedürftig

Das Personal im Hotel sowie im Dive Shop war super freundlich und immer hilfsbereich, man hat sich dort wirklich sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Zimmer waren schön und groß, die Aussicht vom Balkon wirklich toll. Die gesamte Anlage wurde sehr gut gepflegt und war durchweg sauber. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Meer, allerdings ist es dort nicht wirklich zum baden geeignet (kein guter Zugang), dafür ist es umso schöner dort im Restaurant zu essen. Das Frühstück gab es bis 12 Uhr, was wir sehr positiv fanden, so konnte man nach einem morgendlichen Tauchgang noch frühstücken. Auch der Dive Shop und die Instructor dort waren sehr nett und nur zu empfehlen. Die Unterkunft ist etwas außerhalb des Stadtzentrums, dafür ist es sehr ruhig und auch hier sind fußläufig viele Restaurants zu finden. Zur public beach area läuft man circa 15 Min. Ich war mit meinem Partner dort, aber auch als alleinreisende Frau kann man sich dort wirklich sicher fühlen.

We loved staying at Shams. The team - hotel and dive center - we both very professional and very welcoming and helpful. We felt cared for and relaxed from the very first minute. We booked the seeview with balcony room, which is great, if you like to sit outside and watch live run by. The bathroom is small and basic, but super clean. Restaurant has beautiful view as well, for me only coffee taste could be improved. We would always come again to Shams.

I would rate this place 5 stars because the staff were incredibly amazing, supportive, and kind, especially Ashraf, who ensured everything went smoothly from the start, and Maria, who was also exceptionally nice. The breakfast was also perfect, which made the whole experience even better.

There was no sign or clear indication that this was a hotel, which made it a bit difficult to find at first.

Администрация этого объекта не предупредила до бронирования, что на территории ведутся капиталтьные земляные работы с применением тяжелой строительной техники. Работы проводились днем и ночью. Прямо под окнами всю ночь ездил экскаватор и другая строительная техника, проводилась разгрузка стройматериалов. Входная дверь в номер имеет большие зазоры и вся строительная пыль и выхлопные газы трактора прямиком попадали в номер. Проход к месту приема пищи был перекопан (сформирована траншея для укладки санитарнотехнических труб) при этом, экскаватор повредил подземные электроческие коммуникации и все так не менялось пока мы были в этом месте. Для перехода по траншее положили несколько деревянных досок или надо было обходить по песку, выбирая тропу. Поврежденные электрические кабели никто на ремонтировал. В последствии, экскаватор прокопал еще одну траншею и ситуация усугубилась. Мы терпели пару дней, но проблемы с ночными работами не прекращались, Что касается питания в рекламном проспекте меню фото не соответствуют реальному варианту завтрака. Цены сильно завышены. Данное путешествие было запланировано в качестве подарка к юбилею. Но вместо подарко мы получили невыносимые мучения. Мы обратились к адимистрации о возврате оплаты данного бронирования, но получили отказ. В результате переговоров владелец предложил сделать запрос в поддержку Букинг.ком. Ответ пока не получили. В результате мы забронировали через Букинг.ком отличный отель Naama Bay Hotel & Resort по цене ниже чем в Шамсе (Дахаб) с все включено ( в т.ч. трехразовое просто нереально разнообразное на выбор питание) и прекрасно отдохнули оставшиеся дни. К сожалению не удалось загрузить ночное видео под окнами нашего номера..

I would have given 5 stars, but 1 star goes to the manager for never picking up my calls when I wanted to change the reservation. This is not for the girl at the reception who was really nice, it is for the manager himself.

Breakfast and capuccino were lovely. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is amazing. Room is gorgeous with the sea view. I had a cat sneak up and wake me which was also quite cool. Everyone was super friendly.

Zimmer in Ordnung (sauber / werden täglich gemacht, aber Dusche leider undicht, kein Föhn im Zimmer), Frühstück im schönen Restaurant direkt am Meer sehr gut (aufmerksames Personal, frische Früchte, auf Sauberkeit wird großen Wert gelegt), in Summe gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis

Leider hat das WLAN bei uns die meisten Tage überhaupt nicht funktioniert

the resturant staff never smile, everyday looks like sleepy. They could more polite to the customer.

It’s a simple straight forward type of hotel. Comes with a dive shop, it’s on the main strip and the restaurant where you have breakfast and meals is right by the water. As a guest, you get to also chill there. There were so many cats and a few dogs around that were friendly and cute as well. It’s not so much about the property but more about the staff. Everyone at Shams is friendly, it’s like they welcome you to their home. We got help when we needed, we book all our dives with Shams and I even did my advance course with them. It’s a laid back, chill vibe, and everyone is so helpful and they go above and beyond to accommodate their guest.

Being on the main strip, at night it can get a bit noisy. But nothing that woke us up in the middle of night.

Even the guide the hotel booked us was exemplary. The hotel offered exchange services, amazing food, and immediate response to our every need regardless of the time of day. Every part of this stay was perfect. Already looking to visit again!

We had the most amazing stay at this hotel in Dahab! As a group of girls traveling together, we felt incredibly safe and welcomed from the moment we arrived. The staff were beyond kind and attentive, and every single detail of our stay was just perfect. We can't recommend this place highly enough if you're looking for a wonderful, friendly, and safe getaway in Dahab.

El sector de desayuno se encuentra sobre la linea del mar, es muy bello. El servicio es muy bueno, la calidad acompaña. Lo unico que me gustaria es que arranque un poco mas temprano, el desayuno se sirve despues de las 8.00 am

Меню таки надо поменять) И вилки с ложками не надо раздавать,а давать людям самим их взять.

It is good for diving activities

I lost my swimming shorts even as i put it at the terrace and the staff weren’t helpful at all and when i asked to check the cameras they told me that the recording was switched off Really it was very bad experience

Food in the restaurant was excellent service very good staff very helpful and friendly and in a great location for all facilities

Would have been nice to have some tea or coffee in the room but other than that had a great time ❤️
