The Yard Bangkok Hostel

This hostel has a really good social vibe. I've stayed here twice and on both occasions met some great people. It's not a big party vibe which is great as it will be quiet if you want to go to bed early. The staff were so kind and helpful. Breakfast was good and it's a nice way to chat to people. If I return to Bangkok I'll definitely be back!

The atmosphere and the friendly co travellers made it my best hostel experience ever

Good location along the sukhumvit line right by 2 stations, has a towel, nice hot shower, has social room and smoking area, nice vibe to the place and staff were friendly. Lockers will fit a 50L bag in there. There's also 3 or 4 hooks for hanging up stuff in bed

Rooms are in metal containers so the sounds of the lockers opening and closing, the doors opening and closing and the bed curtains drawing open and shut sound very loud,

We love it a lot. Whether you want to meet new people or just be alone this hostel is perfect and located in a lovely quiet neighbourhood.

This has been my second time at the yard and i will come again and again. It really feels like home away from home. The location is ideal to explore the city. And the staff is the sweetest!

I loved the calm vibe of the hostel. It was a great place to meet other solo travelers. Plus the staff were super friendly. I enjoyed my experience and will definitely try the Chang Mai branch someday.

Nothing. Just one small suggestion, I had stayed in a private room and it would have been nice to have cloth hangers.

Rustige en hippe vibe in een van de leukere buurten van Bangkok. Personeel staat ook steeds klaar om je te helpen. Het is ook fijn om na een daguitstap nog een drankje te drinken in de gezellige bar.

The free breakfast every morning was amazing! It was so social and good vibes the whole time. The staff was great — particularly got to know PingPong and Sky!

Es gab dort eine große Terrasse mit vielen Sitzgelegenheiten, so dass man schnell mit Leuten in Kontakt treten kann. Außerdem gab es dort einen Wasserspender, womit man seine Flasche auffüllen konnte. Das Frühstück ist mit frischen Obst und Brot mit Butter und Marmelade und Kaffee. Ein guter Start in den Tag!

This was my second time visiting and it is such an amazing social hostel. Located in Ari, close to amazing food spots and spas. The room (i stayed in the privare room) is comfortable, there is the possibility of doing laundry and socialize in the common area, the bathroom was always clean with good water pressure.

I had a lovely time at the Yard Bangkok. The staff were super friendly and it was very eco friendly too. We had a private room with shared bathroom facilities.

Alles mega schön. Das Hostel lädt dazu ein, den Abend mit Getränken von der Bar und anderen lieben Backpackern im Garten zu verbringen - ganz entspannt, entfernt vom Partystrom.

Great hostel, very friendly and social, bunks are pretty quiet and night and so is the whole hostel generally. Breakfast is nice you get some fruit, yogurt and bread (that can be toasted) and coffee and tea. Theres a filter water tap available all day. The beds are hard but I slept fine.

Rooms can be a bit warm and stuffy.

The property and the people are awesome, facilitating everything and wonderfully.

It was only the location which I didn’t like that much though some people my like it for it is posh high class area and the neighbourhood is quite but I think it would be more my favourite if it was a bit closer to the tourist attraction points. Otherwise wonderful experience.

il personale è molto gentile e cerca di aiutarti a tutte le ore del giorno e della notte. Ti verrà fornito un lucchetto con la chiave per l'armadietto nella stanza e un asciugamano al tuo arrivo. La posizione è abbastanza comoda avendo a meno di 10 minuti la fermata dello sky train di Ari. La struttura è molto accogliente e le persone tendono ad essere molto amichevoli, inoltre è molto pulita rispetto a molti ostelli perché la gente rispetta gli ambienti comuni. Nella sala comune e nelle camere bisogna togliersi le scarpe ed è questa la cosa che tiene molto pulito il luogo.

La camera era molto piccola, per me che dovevo spesso aprire le valige risultava un po' scomodo e soprattutto avevo sempre paura di svegliare i miei compagni di stanza.

Yard attracts very nice people. It’s more expensive than other places but worth it. Good facilities and yard itself is a great place to hang around and chill or meet people.

My bed sheets had a lot of pills.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great location near the Sky Rail train. Near to a number of shops and food places. Safe area. Good indoor recreation room, tv and kitchen area. Good natural and leafy outdoor area. Great complimentary breakfast. Lockers in rooms. Each room has swipe card for each traveller so more security is good. I thought this place was excellent.

Everything was perfect. The location, the spacious yard to enjoy breakfast, the room. But the highlight of the stay is the stuff. They were very kind and helpful and it felt as visiting an old friend.

Really friendly hostel with a great communal atmosphere and comfortable private room.

Make sure to bring some mosquito repellant as there’s lots of them in the courtyard. A little bit of variety in breakfast would also have been great.

Staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Even the guests gave the atmosphere a friendly vibe to the hostel.

Best Hostel in Bangkok! Loved the atmosphere. And there is always somebody around to have a nice chat or spend a good night out. Many places to sit. Free water refill, towel provided.

The locker was not big enough to fit my bag 65L. They are skinny lockers.

The staff was really nice. Loved the breakfast. Toilets and showers clean and refreshed. A homey vibe. Lovely kitchen.

I wished the AC in the common room worked better. For me I like a cozier place that has more common areas within closed spaces but hey the yard is the thing of the place.

Friendly staff, great location, and welcoming people in the area. It was easy to connect with other travelers, and it was a truly relaxing place to unwind amidst the hustle and bustle of Bangkok

I loved it. It becomes like a cute home very fast. Lots of people, but somehow you have always time and place to chill alone, bathroom for a shower without waiting. Good vibes, loved the stuff. You don't wann leave the place and go out in the heat. 😂 Rooms small, but perfect temperature. All that you need. Breakfast fresh and nice (fruity & sweet). Few eur more than others, but this chilling area is so cosy. Bathrooms cute with fan and window. Hot water & shampoo. You have food at the spot, drinks and lots of bars to eat something very close. And excellent massage. If you want to go sightseeing, maybe you should choose something closer to the center. Afyer chilking here for a few days. Khop khun kha The Yard! :-)

This hostel has a very good common area in the garden which is beautiful and great to socialise. The staff was very caring and kind. The showers had warm water and good water pressure. The free breakfast was very nice. It’s also convenient that you can refill your water bottle for free. I really appreciate the commitments to sustainability- they’re definitely a front runner with that in Thailand!

The 4 bed dorm felt quite claustrophobic. At only 8 square meters there was no space to unpack bags. The locker was also really small and unstable. I’d suggest to copy the locker concept they have at The Yard Hostel in Chiang Mai. There were many mosquitoes around the garden and in the dorm.

The Yard Hostel is super cozy, quiet, and still very well located. You can really feel and see the attention to detail. The staff were very sweet, and we felt veeeeeery comfortable there. We can highly recommend the room with a private bathroom, but the dorms are also great. The breakfast and morning yoga were my personal highlights. Thank you so, so much!!

The Yard is tucked away in a quiet, cozy lane but still super centrally located. It’s incredibly easy to walk to the BTS station, ATMs, convenience stores, and tons of amazing restaurants. ​The vibe here is unmatched—lots of beautiful greenery, a calm atmosphere, and plenty of common spaces where you can either chill by yourself or hang out and bond with other travelers. It’s perfect for solo travelers! ​Bonus: The breakfast is fresh, delicious, and comes in really generous, filling portions. ​What truly sets this place apart is the staff. They are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond. On my last day, my phone completely stopped working, and they stepped in to book a Grab taxi to the airport for me and even made sure I had the exact small bills and coins to pay the driver. ​Honestly can't recommend this place enough. I'll definitely be back!

I stayed at The Yard in Chiang Mai and obviously had to stay at the one in Bangkok as well. Nothing but greats things to say about this place. I will say the free breakfast is amazingggg

The cleanliness is so bad :( I stayed at The Yard Chiang Mai and LOVED it so really wanted to love this one. However, my bedsheets felt so unclean and old upon arrival, and then ended up finding bugs. The shared common area is also similarly stale and unclean, ants found in the kitchen. I understand that the hostel tries to be sustainable and low-effort their vibe, but it crosses over to stale/unclean/old so this should be balanced.

The experience was wonderful,so comfortable, warm people around.I could not imagine a better way to start my solo travel.

Je ne peux que recommander the yard hostel, le personnel est très accueillant et à l’écoute, le cadre est beau et reposant, on s’y sent comme chez nous! J’ai eu la chance de pouvoir faire des cours de yoga avec Devi le matin et enchaîner avec un super petit déjeuner juste après Merci encore ✨

Le seul petit inconvénient je dirais l’odeur dans les toilettes qui peut parfois être un peu gênante sinon à part ça rien à redire !

Ich fand die Unterkunft sehr gemütlich und man ist schnell mit Leitern ins Gespräch gekommen. Gut gefallen hat mir auch das es ein bisschen außerhalb von Bangkok ist und man nach einem anstrengenden Stadt Tag gut entspannen kann
