Beyond Bliss Hotel Suites

The room was dusty and filled with flies. It was the largest room they had but needed a serious cleaning. Items are old, bed is old and uncomfortable. I will not stay here again.

The suite is clean and includes a fully equipped kitchen which is very convenient- I'd definitely recommend.

We always enjoy staying here and come back every summer to watch the whales from the deck.

booked in February for July vacation: a room 2 beds with balcony, they have 4 rooms with balcony, one on each conner of the building. They gave us the one with the view on the parking lot, to bad, when you reserved 5 months in advance to have the one with the worst view. "Kitchen": no cutlery, no plates or glasses. But every else was very nice.

It’s okay, but I wouldn’t recommend to anyone with mobility challenges as stairs are required. There seems to be better options in Powell River. The King Suites are huge though and have everything you need to be comfortable. Not having 24/7 front desk service might not work for some travellers.

If you cannot walk up 24 stairs inside or 3 stories outside..not for you .. Am 77 and thank god that lovely lady helped me..

Nice location. A handful of eateries nearby, liquor store. Community deck with partial ocean views. Quiet location, very near ferry.

The unit was well situated and had a lovely view. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and allowed us into the unit early. The rooms were well equipped, very clean and the beds comfortable. I would definitely stay there again if in Powell River.

Very nice place , great view. Our only beef otherwise would have been 5 stars, was the layer of dust on my side table was very thick. Also housekeeping just opened the door an looked in at 9:45 when check out was 11:00.

Nice views from the room, check in was easy. Coffee and tea provided which is nice, spacious room with balcony. Shampoo available is very watery, expected better as rooms are part of a spa. Bathroom has in floor heat set up but not working, also washroom fan was not functional. Great location near ferry and restaurants and shops.

loved my stay here and plan on staying again. My only thing is that the cleanliness could be a bit better. ie - door handles, base boards. Other than that overall cleanliness was good.

Beautiful suite in great location

Room was actually too large. Felt like a small apartment for a one night stay. Bathroom in-floor heating system didn’t work but thermostat controls made a loud mechanical click every 5-15 seconds…all night long. Very helpful staff but they were unable to fix it during our stay. Three floors of outside, slippery wooden stairs…two floors of steep inside stairs. No alternative option to get luggage to our room. Just too pricey for the room issues.

We had a very nice and quite stay. The accomodation was very big with lots of space and both the living room and the bedroom were very comfty and clean . Right next to our building 3/4 nice restaurants We really enjoy our stay in Powell River

Property was clean , warm and , lots of places to eat near by , lock box access was not that straight forward , eldery mother was with me , really dificult t climb the back stairs , real slippery in the rain

Great location

Would highly recommend AGAINST staying here. The heat pump unit above the door had leaked at some point and there was a stain on the wall with black mould spots clearly visible. There were several signs clearly asking visitors to not change the mode of the heat pump (ie. heat or cool) saying that none of the units would work if the mode was changed. Due to this I was unable to lower the temperature in the room and it was much too warm for me to get a good night’s sleep. The only available ice was an individual ice machine in the room that had black mould inside it. The bathroom floor had very long, straight, black hair on it. I was the only person staying in the room and I have shoulder length, very curly grey hair. The bathroom floor had definitely not been vacuumed. The power cords hanging down from behind the tv on the wall were fluffy with so much dust and clumps of dust on them. I travel quite often and I don’t go looking for things dirty and wrong in a room so I just had to say something about this. I took pictures of all of this so I’m disappointed that I can’t share them here. Please, save your money and your health, and stay anywhere else.

Small but well laid out room with a king bed and ocean view. Quiet location. Excellant communication prior to check in. Good value. I’d stay there again.

This property has a fabulous view from the balcony where there are chairs and tables to relax. Nearby cafe for breakfast was also excellent. We didn't take advantage of the spa facilities - next time!

Everything was great . A simple room. there was a hum from the back from the neighbouring AC or similar, but all was well!

I very much enjoyed our stay, got confused with the chicken as I parked out front and then parked in the back and had to make my way in and upstairs. Figured it out very quickly.

Convenient clean stop over location as we traveled up and down the Sunshine Coast.

Beautiful, clean, large rooms. If you want an ocean view you’ll have to request it. The street-view rooms are noisy in the morning due to traffic.

One of the bed legs were broken

Hospitality requires professionals. When you deal with small places like Bliss it is often a side project with no resources available to answer questions. The oncall person was rather salty when we had some issues getting to the property even though it was during daytime. The signage could be better, the lights on the back stair were not working.

I never give an excellent rating but Beyond Bliss is the exception! From check-in to check-out, we were pleased with the friendly staff, convenient location, spacious room, cleanliness, reasonable rate, and the lovely deck from which we could watch for whales and enjoy the sunset. There is also a spa next door!!

Beds were hard and shower took forever to warm up and had low water pressure. Nice modern suite, but so uncomfortable.

Great room with lovely bathroom and balcony. Clean, nice amenities, and very friendly reception staff. Foam mattress was a little hot and a/c unit was a little noisy, but overall a good place to stay right next to the ferry. Restaurant next door was outstanding!

Great place! Full suite available if you wanted to cook. Unnecessary though as there’s plenty of restaurants close by.

Easy accessibility. Dining options nearby and an amazing view outside. Very comfortable place to sleep for the night and great cafes nearby for the morning. Carpet could use a shampoo for sure.

Very convenient for the ferry. Very clean. But so disappointing that all cups were disposable and wrapped in plastic with plastic stirrers instead of a metal teaspoon.

Clean and convenient

We only stayed one night but wished we could have extended our stay to explore the town more. Our suite was lovely - very clean and tastefully furnished. Although we didn’t use it, the suite had a full kitchen which would have been amazing to take advantage of had we been able to stay longer. The one staff we interacted with at check in was friendly and helpful. When we’re back in Powell River we’ll definitely book here again.

Great suite, modern, amazing view. Restaurants right out the front door, ferries were 1 minute away. Negatives were the large flight of stairs to the parking lot and condition of the unit needs a little tlc. Sofa bed is damaged an unuseable, bathroom heated floors were nonfunctional. Other than that it was great, we enjoyed our stay.

Disappointed in the view. Not waterfront but a blick off waterfront.

The suite with the water view was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked. My only comment really is that there is no elevator and walking up the three flights to room was a bit bothersome for my knee. I knew before booking there was no elevator AND I’d also still book there as it was that good. Minor but the jets in the tub went off in the night and it was not clear how to turn them off.

The type of shower head does not suit that shower.

5 stars. The covered porch made the difference between this and other properties. If it wasn’t sold out in July when I return, I’d book again in a heartbeat. Deduct 1/2 star for no elevator though. 23 steps lugging 45lbs of luggage. I’m a professional traveler and travel lightly, but for a 2-week stint in Canada, one never knows what weather will be in store. If you’re a light traveler, feel free to add the 1/2 star back in. As it was, the weather was beautiful and the views from the porch are spectacular. Deduct another 1/2 because wireless while it worked in the room, it didn’t 20 feet away on the porch. If you’re from Canada with an unlimited data plan, that won’t be an issue so there’s another 1/2 star back.
