Neakru Guesthouse and Restaurant

Our 2 nights stay in June 2026 was impacted by several serious service failures: No response to pre-arrival communication — hotel did not acknowledge our transport arrival requests. Failure to honor booking inclusions — breakfast was part of our 2 days booking, and the hotel did not provide it or offer compensation. TV was broken. No restaurant/bar.

The bathroom had black mould on the ceiling. The toilet tank had no lid every time we used it we had to put our hand into a dirty tank to flash the toilet. Breakfast included but when we went down for our breakfast, the restaurant was empty with no staff to be found and no breakfast. The breakfast included was such a misleading.

Basic room

There wasn't breakfast available at the property. The heater in the shower didn't work. Hard bed.

Nous avions réservé deux nuits au Guesthouse , du 30 avril au 2 mai, mais dès notre arrivée, grosse déception : on nous annonce qu’ils ne peuvent finalement nous garantir qu’une seule nuit. Pour la deuxième, on devait se débrouiller nous-mêmes pour trouver un autre logement, ce qui est totalement inacceptable après une réservation confirmée. Nous avons alors demandé un remboursement pour la nuit non assurée, mais le personnel nous a répondu qu’ils ne pouvaient rien faire car nous étions passés par Booking. Aucune solution concrète ni aide proposée, ce qui montre un sérieux manque de professionnalisme. Pour couronner le tout, une fois dans la chambre, la climatisation s’est mise à fuir. On nous a donc déplacés dans une autre chambre, mais celle-ci avait une forte mauvaise odeur, rendant le séjour encore plus désagréable. Au final, expérience très décevante. Je ne recommande absolument pas cet établissement.

Fantastic location close to the river and town, comfy bed, good shower, tasty breakfast. Great value for money.

The location

Was not given the room I booked and looked nothing like the pictures. I usually don't write reviews but make an exception on this occasion. The pillows were not pillows rather some random square foam, the sheets were not clean, the bathroom door didn't close, there were gaps in the room door so people can see in. The room was dirty and run down, felt musky and the sheets made me itch. Apart from the location, nothing to like. Much much better options available for less money. The next day found a spotlessly clean, friendly hotel for a lower price.

Petit-déjeuner beaucoup trop léger (même si on s’en doutait au vu des commentaires, mais il faut vraiment qu’ils améliorent ça) Fourmis dans la chambre. Les chambres ne ressemblent pas aux photos. Mauvaises insonorisations, on avait un voisin complètement irrespectueux qui hurlait au téléphone dans sa chambre puis dans les couloirs. Matelas dur.

The location was great and the staff were friendly. You can rent a scooter here for a good price too.

Our room was smothered with ants, the staff sprayed the room a few times but didnt offer us a new room to stay in. I didnt see the ants at first and later found they were all over my bag and in my packing cubes. The room had a damp feeling and the bedding had a slight smell. Breakfast wasn’t great either.

Ruhiges Hotel an guter Lage . Zentrum gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Hilfsbereites Personal, vermittelt gute Touren. Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist auch okay.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel pas trop près du centre ,mais tout à côté. La chambre confortable bonne literie propre.

Le petit-déjeuner très sommaire, et la serveuse plutôt peu coopérative. L'accueil et la salle de restauration mériterait une meilleure organisation et un peu de chaleur dans la déco !!

L’emplacement proche de riverside, du night market, commerces, food et la gentillesse du personnel incroyable

Les draps n’étaient pas propre, petit dej très succinct, pas de mini bar, pas de câble dans l établissement

Bon emplacement, pas desoin de tuk-tuk ou moto pour aller au centre ville.

Niveau équipement, pas de bouilloire, rideaux de la fenêtre moyen. Pour le petit dejeuner il y avait juste une petite cuillère de confiture. Il a fallu en redemander une autre les 3 aitres matins.. Personnel pas désagréable mais rien à voir avec d autres homestay qu on a fait.

Posizione a 400 metri dal fiume. Proprietario molto gentile e disponibile.

Colazione molto scarsa: solo uova e nemmeno una piccola banana e un bicchiere d’acqua. Punto assolutamente da migliorare

Petit déjeuner, lamentable et personnel et inexistant je ne recommanderais pas ce lieu.

Le positionnement est assez central et permet de se déplacer à pieds vers le centre de la ville.

Nous avions une fuite d’eau dans la salle de bain qui ne datait pas d’hier! Le faux plafond chargé d’eau menaçait de tomber. Le petit déjeuner est servi dans sa version minimaliste.

La localisation du logement était pratique Le personnel était très gentil

They were quick to address major issues.

The tv didn’t work and needed to be replaced twice. The wifi didn’t work so I had to change room. The scooter I hired from the hotel broke down twice and I was stranded twice resulting in I didn’t get to see and do all I wanted during my trip to Kampot.

Accueil très agréable, personnel attentionné et à l'écoute.

Bâtiment qui résonne beaucoup.... mieux vaut avoir les chambres du haut avec personne au dessus

Great Location, Clean and nice guesthouse

Comfortable bed, the kettle in the room, breakfast 2 shops down from this hotel, the cleaner, big room, good shower & toilet. The courtesy of the young man whose English was quite good and the young lass that tried very hard.

Power off nearly all day one day. WiFi is just fair, depending on which room your in. The restaurant advertised as open, is not.

Good value - room was spacious enough and was about a ten minute walk from main restaurant/bar area Can rent bikes from there too

Walkable location to the bridge and beach front and that is about all that is good for this property.

The room was very unclean, it did not get cleaned during our whole stay. The room had no wifi during our entire stay even after letting the staff know and there were ants in the room and bathroom. Also had mould on the walls in the bathroom the whole facility is very old and not maintained.

There was no restaurant - there was no bar! Ther was not even a mirror in my so called deluxe room - no comp coffee or tea or toilettes Very disappointing- charged me 2 days rental on my scooter! Was no staff available to turn my keys in after first day+ I filled up the empty tank!! - stayed in nicer hostels for 1/4 the price!!

No room cleaning after the first day. No wifi available in the 3rd floor. I could not connect my laptop to the internet. The WiFi was generally very slow also at the reception.

Welcoming staff and good location. AC was functionning well.

Not so clean..

Large, comfortable clean room with decent aircon. Kettle and cups were provided. There was no refill water downstairs but when we asked about it they got some in. Staff were friendly. Very clean guesthouse.

No chairs on the balcony outside the room. No atmosphere.

Excellent Guesthouse! We wish we had stayed longer, comfy beds, clean room and helpful staff.

Good location

They put in on the 3rd floor and I carried 2 heavy backpacks by myself, imagining how hard it was. Moreover, I was traveling alone and I booked a double room with a king bedroom but they gave me Twin bedrooms which I really didn't like.

The location is great as it's just Few minutes walk from the beach.

I understood the language barrier but felt that staff didn't even try to assist me, from the start. It was very difficult, they didn't even bother to use the translator. There was a weird water sound in my toilet or shower during the night that didn't stop. There were also soooo many stairs and no elevator but it's because my room was on the top floor.

Central town

I lost a tablet keyboard after check out for 30 min and manager said didn't see. Irresponsible. First time. I wouldn't stay there again , concern of risks

Nice room nice bed nice bathroom. in general totally worth it.
