In a Box Hostel

Cleanliness

Nothing

The location was absolutely brilliant being so close to the BTS and Airport Rail Link. It was also very quiet, especially given its location. The dimmed lighting made it a very restful place to stay pre a long distance flight.

If there was a mirror in the room it would be perfect... or a plug in the bathroom where there is a mirror. As a woman needing to straighten hair, a mirror would have been useful. ( not a concern for males i know)

A few steps away to the nearest BTS (Phaya Thai) is the bonus! Staff there are really helpful to help us at any time eventho they didn't speak/understand English that much.

The hostel was really cozy and clean. I love how it is so easy to find and so near to everything in the centre of Bangkok. All the staffs were also super friendly as well. 10/10 would recommend this place to everyone reading this!!!

Best hostel I have been. Very clean and comfortable. Staff often cleaning. Nice design. Very clear arrangement for late check in.

Peaceful

Nothing

Cute hotel next time I'm in Bangkok I'm definitely staying here

All good

Bed was comfy, and the location super duper special! Staff and owner so helpfull!

The location is super convenient—just a short walk from Phaya Thai BTS, with easy access to the airport rail link. The hostel is tucked away on a quieter side of Phaya Thai, which we really appreciated. Our room had a private bathroom that was kept spotlessly clean. There’s also a simple breakfast available in the common area and a cozy lounging space on the ground floor.

na

location and price

depend on with who you share the room may be noisy

It was a safe place, with clean beds in a great location convenient to catch public transport. Nice locker. Towel and blanket provided which was great.

Door in the dormitory room made a lot of noise (a bit of oil with solve that). 1 of 2 sinks not working. Mattress extremely hard.

Freshly renovated hostel, central bus very quiet location, friendly staff, big and clean beds and clean shared bathrooms. Free breakfast with tea, coffee, toasts and cereals

Nothing, everything was good

Very friendly staff, clean, in a little alley away from the noise, basic breakfast included, superb location close to the BTS and the airport express train.

I would have appreciated to have curtain for each bed on the dormitories to have a bit more privacy.

Good location.

The light on the balcony is broken, and the door can’t be locked, which is letting mosquitoes into the room. The bed is upstairs, but there’s no lighting downstairs it’s not just dim, it’s completely dark. Honestly, with all these issues, the price doesn’t feel fair

Stayed for 1 night. Convenient location next to the road to the airport. To the Central World, Siam, Paragon 15-20 minutes walk. The rooms are clean and there is a bedspread.

There are no curtains in the rooms.

Great value for money. The staff are excellent. Facilities as advertised. Proximity to the Airport Rail line was my main reason for choosing this hostel. Easy access to the metro to visit various places.

I can not think of anything... I do wonder why lights are left on all the time. The air conditioning could be turned down a bit.

I love everything there 🥰

Great value for money and nice hosts!

Perfect location to jump on the first Metro to the Airport early in the morning. Comfortable and clean

Booking stated that checking is until 22:00. However, on the door they wrote 21:00 so noone was there to let me in at 21:30. This made it stressful for me. I asked some people on the street to call the number they also put on the door since I had no Thai Sim card. Then a girl showed up and let me in. She was really nice and helpful. But communicating checkin times must be improved!!!!

Awesome location at BTS Phaya Thai, the airport train is right there too. Very convenient. Lovely staff🤩 7-11 is on the other side of the street. Very good for a quick in and out or for a longer stay. On a personal note, I love the mattress. My next stay is already in sight.

There is nothing

What a lovely, much-needed cosy space after a long-haul 11-hr flight!! The location was amazing, very accessible – just 8 stops (about 40 minutes) away on the airport rail link, which is directly connected to the airport. The station is also a stop on the BTS so it's connected to many tourist spots. The hostel itself was very clean and the floors were sparkly and spotless, maintained because everyone is asked to leave their shoes at the door. The beds were comfortable, and unlike many other hostels, the single pillow was nice and firm, and the blanket freshly cleaned and cosy. Each bed had its own power socket, shelf, and reading light too. The bathrooms were very clean, almost like they were unused! They were also spacious – and the toilets and showers were in the same room (like a typical bathroom in a house), so we got more privacy for bathroom time. The provision for lockers in the bedrooms helped keep the room clutter-free and tidy, and also gave me peace of mind knowing my belongings were secure. Despite being in a central location, the hostel common areas and the room itself was quiet. I didn't get to try the free breakfast (I opted to buy food at nearby Pratunam Market), but the offering seemed pretty good all things considered. There was also free water to refill my bottle throughout the stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they explained things well at check in and could answer my questions about transportation and where to go. Check out was painless – just a key drop.

The bedroom and hallways were a bit dark. During the day it was fine, but at dusk and later on in the evening, I felt like I could use more light. Also, the top bunks were a bit harder to get up on since the ladder is quite straight and steep, and the rungs quite far apart. If you have mobility issues, I'd request a lower bunk.

Great location, hostel near BTS to the airport and in the city center as well. Located in quiet street right next to main city attractions. Clean, friendly and helpful staff - all you need is there.

It is literally at the junction of various public transportation and within walking distance to siam area.

There were cockroaches and ants in the entrance hall, kitchen and stairs (I think due to poor cleaning)

Everything is great! The cleanliness is excellent, and the location next to the BTS is top-notch.

None

The room was clean and comfortable. There was also shared bathroom which also very clean.

There is no elevator, so, for people who have a lot of stuff, it should be considered

Very close to airport link. Easy to get anywhere. Have a common kitchen at ground floor.

No elevator, not easy to get your luggage to the 3th floor.

Location is top near two train lines round the corner. Very helpful staff, including housekeeping. The place is clean with all what you need from a hostel.

minor issues, like a squeaky bedroom door, the shower hose need repairs. Everything else was as expected

The hostel is completely run down, it feels the owners gave up. It used to be SO nice. Lots of things are falling apart like the stairs, showers, so many bulbs needs to be changed but no one seem to care, trash is at the door not moving for days and days etc. No curtains on the beds is really problematic. Staff is nice and great location. Please don’t let your hostel die like this, it used to be so nice.

The place is easy to find and near the station. It is clean and well maintained. The staff are very accommodating

A curtain would probably make the experience better to give us privacy and keep our lights low to avoid bothering other guests while we are on our bank beds. We had to use the blanket to cover the bed while sleeping.

The atmosphere was quiet, and everything was tidy. The shared bathrooms were kept quite clean. The kitchen/dining and living areas were spacious. They have a homely feel to it. Despite it being in the city center, it is situated inside an alley, which makes it a bit secluded. For the value, I am completely satisfied. The personal locker was big enough for a large suitcase and a large backpack.

It is an accommodation for backpackers. I don't recommend it to those traveling with large suitcases because they don't have elevators, so you would have to drag heavy suitcases up the stairs. However, the lockers have enough space; alternatively, you can ask the reception to store them downstairs.

kitchen with all things you need and chill out lounge, female dorm with separated floor, free breakfast (very basic)

no bed-curtains for privacy, blankets are not warm enough when a/c is on the whole night

Nearby the mrt and bts. Just 2-3 mins

There is no curtain to separate each other bed in dorm. A little bit no privacy

Extremely nice and friendly stuff! Thank you for the top service you provide! To position of the hostel in the city is perfect - near the metro to the airport.

Window-Door to the balcony in room C2 could not be closed completely any more - so it was a little bit noisy - but not loud - from the street.

good location near airport link station and BTS (Sky train) lots of connection to other places

Low light in the bathroom and for the makeup area. Low pressure of water for the shower (3rd floor).

Location is convenient, the bed is spacious and comfortable, cleanliness was maintained and the staffs are nice.

The location is really good- right next to bts and airport link, and bus stop. 10 walking distance from Siam Square. Many bars, 7/11,restaurants near. The place is clean, quiet, with air con, small kitchen. Free coffee and tea all day,and breakfast till 11am

Really love to stay here.

Location. Next to BTS.

Some facility didnt work (Lamp)

Convenience, cleanliness, friendliness of staff

The place was so convenient. The staff was very nice.

the bathroom light was broken.

Location, because it was near the airport train station (and that was my mistake), relatively clean floors, but that's because guests are have to leave their shoes at the hostel entrance, the public area is ok.

The facade of the hostel building is a bit different from what you can see in the picture. It is less pretty, and the entrance to it is in an unpleasant street. The room is like a bunker, dingy, painted gray and very dark (two dimly lit bulbs) and 2 lamps, dimly lit; no furniture except for a desk made of "stone". No duvet, the bed hung over your head at a height of 1.85 cm, the room was maybe two meters wide, and max. 12 square meters and a shared bathroom, I paid for 18 square meters with a bathroom outside the room, but my own. I have already slept in a room that was 9 square meters and was much nicer than this one. The light in the bathroom is a bit brighter than in the room, but the person cleaning the bathroom forgets to wash the taps, and it would be good to remove the cobwebs from the dryer. When choosing accommodation, I looked at the opinions, but also at the photos of the hostel and the proximity of transport to the airport and the price. Unfortunately, the photos do not reflect reality, I did not get what I paid for. When I pointed it out, the ladies just smiled. Luckily I only spent less than two nights there. And, I forgot about breakfast was toast, jam, butter, cereals, instant coffee, tea and a few small cookies. I paid 1000 baht per night, for that money you can have a room of at least 24 square meters, your own bathroom, no extra charge for bed linen, with breakfast. This is the first time I have given a negative review and I hope it will be the last

I really don't get where the bad reviews are coming from! My stay was perfect! I chose to sleep in the women's dormitory. The environment was very clean, both in the rooms and in the common areas. The bed and sheets were clean and the blanket provided was very warm. The air conditioning was a little noisy, although not enough to disturb my sleep. They allowed me to leave my bags in the hall after checkout allowing me to visit the city for the whole day. The location is excellent for those who have to leave for the airport the next day and well served by buses and the subway. Ah, they offer free breakfast, nice touch! Hot water, cold water, bread, cereals and jam.. the bread didn't taste great, so better to just go for tea.

a little noisy air conditioning

The location and the staff were very good

1.A little bit dark in the room at night 2.Some ants in the room 3.Bathroom water drainage was a little slow

Location good

Only cash payment. No chance of an earlier check in, not even one hour earlier

Most convenient location off the main road (BTS and Phaya Thai). 8-bed dorm, clean, comfortable. AC cannot be switched off so it can be a bit chilly at night. I personally asked at the reception for an extra blanket. Breakfast is basic: instant coffee or tea, toasts, butter n jam. Very friendly staff. Great value for money.

location

bathroom is low light

You can’t get closer to the airport link, great location.

I liked it in general, could have better toilet conditions.
