I have to say that booking Onefam Sungate was the best decision i made on this trip. 🥳🥳 When i arrived, Fresh 😎 especially was so welcoming and accommodating which prompted good vibes for my stay. The room was perfect, i have no complaints with it. I liked that it was not a bunk bed. It was also always clean and tidy everywhere even in the common areas. Very well maintained space in washrooms and toilets and highly recommended for solo travelers in Madrid 🇪🇸 It was my first time in a hostel and i didn’t expect a lot but you guys made my stay worth it. The hostel activities were really good, walking tour in Toledo with Melissa was also great.. she has a way of telling the histories that is refreshing and memorable. 💐 And the really best thing i gained from booking this hostel is meeting a lot of great people. I’ve met strangers but turned them into friends. 😊😊🙏🙏 So overall, it was a 5-⭐️ experience for me and for sure i will recommend you to anyone who’s going to Madrid. Le camere e i bagni sono sempre puliti, e gli spazi comuni mettono a proprio agio fin dal primo minuto. Il vero punto di forza è lo staff: organizzano attività, cene ed eventi ogni giorno, creando un vero senso di comunità senza mai risultare invadenti. Ideale per chi cerca un mix perfetto tra vita sociale e riposo. Consigliatissimo al 100%!

A mí personalmente no me molestó, pero muchos se quejaban de que algunas cosas eran solo de pago en efectivo (candados, toallas, cervezas, etc). Otra cosa depende que habitacion te toque a mi me toco con balcon a la calle, a veces puede ser muy ruidoso, muchos artistas callejeros, turismo y camiones de limpieza

Hostel olarak gayet sıcakkanlı insanlar ile karşılaştım. Her konuda sorularıma hızlıca cevap verdiler. Odalarda gayet temiz ve havalandırmalıydı. Etrafımdaki herkese bu hosteli tavsiye edeceğim :)

Dadu's advises regarding our stay. She was really helpful by talking in good french, and advising us with tips that suited us a lot (second hand shops, veggies places...). She was our first impression and the best of it ! So thank you Dadu. For the rest, the place was really clean, the bathrooms also, the toilets as well. The shared places were good to meet people, have breakfast (which is given by the hostel), and watch a movie. Sleep is respected. We recommend this place, which is in the very center of Madrid. It was even better than we expected.

I had a wonderful time staying at Onefam Hostel. The facilities were clean and comfortable, but the highlight of my stay was definitely the staff. I want to give a special shout-out to Catia. She was incredibly helpful and cooperative throughout my entire visit. This place is on perfect location every thing is on walk-in distance.

I stayed for 2 nights and had a really great experience. The hostel was welcoming, clean, and had a great atmosphere. Duda from reception especially stood out to me with her friendliness and helpfulness, she was absolutely wonderful. I’d definitely come back!

Os funcionários são muito queridos, me senti em casa. Camas confortáveis, localização excelente no meio de tudo, banheiros fora do quarto mas super espaçosos e sempre limpos. Também tem atividades para interação e passeios todas as noites para bares ou clubes. Tem um mini café da manhã e algumas noites tem um jantar. Quarto espaçoso e com espelho.

Único ponto negativo é que não tem elevador, mas tudo bem.

The location is close to everything! All the staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Special mention to Catia who has always looked after me during my stay and helped me with my luggage. Amazing facilities - good spacious bathrooms, clean kitchen, dedicated workspace and single beds are actually not bunk beds. So many fun activities facilitated by the team. The service was so personal and it felt like home!

I liked almost everything and this is just a point of improvement - pillows and some beds are kinda worn out but this will not deter me from coming back as it is a quick fix. There is no elevator so the staff kindly helped me with my heavy luggage everytime.

Central location, amazing welcoming staff, very clean, and great planned events. The staff (Coralie, Cátia, and Blake) were beyond exceptional in curating a familial vibe where meeting and spending time with strangers was easy. Planned events went very smoothly and everyone always had a good time.

Tuve una excelente experiencia en Onefam Sungate. Vine el mes pasado y, por accidente, olvidé mis tenis en el hostal. El staff los encontró en particular Gabo quien tuvo la amabilidad de guardármelos durante todo este tiempo. Hoy regresé a Madrid y fueron nuevamente muy amables al entregármelos. Más allá de este detalle, el hostal tiene un ambiente muy familiar y acogedor. El personal es súper amable y realmente te hacen sentir bienvenido. Se agradece muchísimo encontrar un lugar donde el staff se preocupa de verdad por los huéspedes. Sin duda, volvería a hospedarme aquí. ¡Muy recomendable!

Reseña Tuve una excelente experiencia en Onefam Sungate. Vine el mes pasado y, por accidente, olvidé mis tenis en el hostal. El staff los encontró en particular Gabo quien tuvo la amabilidad de guardármelos durante todo este tiempo. Hoy regresé a Madrid y fueron nuevamente muy amables al entregármelos. Más allá de este detalle, el hostal tiene un ambiente muy familiar y acogedor. El personal es súper amable y realmente te hacen sentir bienvenido. Se agradece muchísimo encontrar un lugar donde el staff se preocupa de verdad por los huéspedes. Sin duda, volvería a hospedarme aquí. ¡Muy recomendable!

Acomodação extremamente bem localizada e até excede o padrão de excelência da OneFam em outras localidades. Casas de banho bem equipadas e espaçosas, camas com boa roupa e flexíveis para temporadas de frio ou calor. Equipa e voluntários são constantemente ativos para fomentar um ambiente social bem fervoroso ❣️✨

Great location, right in the city center. Well connected with various metro stations and bus stops nearby. Room was nicely organized and tidy for sharing with the other girls. Well-organized and clean shared bathrooms. Very nice and welcoming staff, organized various inhouse and outdoor events for all guests.

La atención de parte de los chicos de recepción fue excelente, nos recomendaron planes para recorrer Madrid que funcionaban perfecto con lo que queríamos visitar. El lugar estaba super limpio y bien mantenido. Los baños siempre en perfectas condiciones.

Solamente que para llegar al baño era una odisea, pero entiendo que no todas las habitaciones están ubicadas donde la nuestra asi que no debería ser una experiencia global.

Es muy chica, parece más grande por internet pero cuando llegas es bastante chico el hostel.

De hygiëne is top. Het was zeer proper en de kamer was ruim, ook bedden beneden zijn handig. Er zijn veel douches en toiletten, dus nooit lang wachten. De ligging is fantastisch. De activiteiten die aangeboden worden zijn leuk, avondeten, tapasavond, free walking tour, uitstappen. Echt een community en je wordt zeer hartelijk ontvangen en krijgt super goede uitleg.

Mensen komen zeer laat binnen omdat het meer een party hostel is. Je kan je was doen in de wasmachines en drogers, maar wil je na een kleine handwas je kledij drogen dan is het moeilijk want het kleine droogrekje is kapot.

This is such a 10/10 hostel on all fronts. 1. No upper banks to climb to? This is genius! I hope all hostels could do this 2. The check in experience itself is so great - especially with Freshy at the desk! Say hi to him from my side if you find him. He told me about the hostel the activities, the city and gave me a quick tour of the property 3. The safety, everything - from the front door to the door of your floor and to your rooms door everything is locked with a passcode and it makes the property feel so much more safe 3. The activities - they have a whatsapp group where all the activities are posted throughout the day and all of them are so much fun 4. The walking tour with Melissa was also amazing! If I had more time in the city, I would’ve taken a separate full day tour from her but the hostel arranges a 2 hr thing for the residents free of cost!

Ah this is a hard one but if I’m nitpicking, the only thing I didn’t like was the climb up two floors with my heavy luggage when I first got here. Yes, they don’t have elevators and you will have to carry all the luggage over more than 40 steps, they literally have motivation and milestone written on the steps and walls to make the journey a bit more manageable.

L'équipe est au top, tout le monde est sympathique et serviable, et la réceptionniste m'a donné de nombreux conseils pour visiter la ville. Fiquei no quarto 2 durante minha estadia, era um mixed room, apesar de ser mulher, minha estadia foi muito tranquila e confortável. Desde o começo até o final, todos foram MUITO solícitos comigo, só tenho a agradecer.

Mudei pro quarto de meninas no número 17, amei! Super espaçoso, perto do banheiro, o quarto tinha mais de 3 espelhos e as meninas eram incríveis, a limpeza era ainda mais constante do que no andar debaixo e todos os funcionários eram muito solícitos! Super recomendo! O quarto é ótimo também!

En las noches a veces se escuchaba bulla en los pasadizos. Entonces no lo recomiendo para quien tenga sueño ligero.

I stayed at Sungate One from July 25th to July 31st, and I can honestly say it was one of the best travel experiences of my life. I’ve stayed in many hostels over the years, but this one is on a completely different level. The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of Madrid. Everything you could possibly need—major attractions, restaurants, cafés, supermarkets, public transport, and nightlife—is just a short walk away. You couldn’t ask for a better place to stay while exploring the city. The hostel is exceptionally clean. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas are spotless, and despite the social atmosphere, the rooms are quiet at night thanks to the quiet hours after 11:00 PM. Everyone respects the rules, so you can always enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. What truly makes this place special is the people. Fresh and the entire team are simply amazing. They are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with anything you need. They don’t just treat you like a guest—they make you feel like part of their family from the very first day. One of my favorite things was the daily activities. Whether it was group dinners, walking tours, pub crawls, or other events, there was always something fun to do. It made meeting other travelers from around the world effortless, and the atmosphere was always positive and inclusive. The complimentary coffee and croissant every morning were a lovely bonus and the perfect way to start the day. For the price, I honestly don’t think you can find a better hostel in Madrid. The value for money is outstanding, and every detail shows how much the staff care about their guests. I recommend this hostel 100% to anyone visiting Madrid. It is, without a doubt, the best hostel I have ever stayed in, and I will definitely be coming back. Single beds, how rare is this for a hostel? Aside from the beds, this is probably one of the most well looked after hostel. Cleaning goes on round the clock, excellent kitchen and common areas. Massive fridge and lots of free stuff. It really doesn't get any better than this. Shout out to the front of the house, Gabo, Bruno, Fresco, Katia. All the other volunteers and the staff who keep up with the maintenance. The location is right bang in the center.

Great hostel! The staff is very friendly and always helps with everything. Nice rooms and clean bathrooms. They have free tea, coffee, apples, and snacks for breakfast. Every evening they host dinners where we cook family-style meals together. I loved everything!

I highly recommend this hostel to solo travelers! It's super easy to meet people and have fun. All the hostel activities are awesome. I visited Toledo, the former capital of Spain, and did a walking tour thanks to them. Our guide Melissa was amazing! I loved my stay, totally recommend! 😍😍

Minha estadia no Onefam Sungate foi incrível! A localização é perfeita, a poucos passos da Puerta del Sol, o que facilita muito conhecer Madrid a pé. Há vários restaurantes, bares, mercados e estações de metrô bem próximos. O ambiente do hostel é super acolhedor, tudo estava sempre limpo e organizado, e o melhor de tudo são as atividades diárias. É muito fácil conhecer outros viajantes e fazer amizades, principalmente para quem está viajando sozinho. Quero fazer um agradecimento especial à Catia, que foi simplesmente fantástica. Ela foi muito simpática, atenciosa e sempre disposta a ajudar, dando ótimas dicas e fazendo com que eu me sentisse em casa desde o primeiro dia. Pessoas como ela fazem toda a diferença na experiência. Sem dúvida, foi um dos melhores hostels em que já fiquei. Recomendo o Onefam Sungate para quem procura uma excelente localização, um ambiente social e uma equipe que realmente se importa com os hóspedes. Quando voltar a Madrid, com certeza ficarei aqui novamente.
