Lalaguna Villas Luxury Dive Resort and Spa

The room that we had was an older room that has not been upgraded as yet, although it was old and dated I believe that it would be the best room in the Resort as it was right at the front of the resort and had a large balcony area directly over the water, this was a great spot to sit and have an afternoon drink and watch the boats etc., it was also quite private. The resort itself is centered around scuba diving but there is plenty to do if like us you are not divers, the entire resort has a very laid back and relaxed feel to it with great value and quality food and drinks and the staff were excellent, I would highly recommend this resort. When I was planning this stay, I had no idea on how on the best way to get transfers from Manila to here, I reached out to the resort and asked the question and the staff were very helpful and gave me a number of options at varying costs and once I made the decisions, they organized it all for me. Normally with these reviews you have a list of names to mention of staff members that went above and beyond what was expected however in this case I do not have names as every single staff member from the owner to the maintenance staff at this resort went above and beyond the expectations to make our stay perfect. Thank you to every single one of them

The one and only thig that I could say is that the water pressure in our unit was very low, particularly the shower, but that was a very minor detail

The walking to get inside from Sabang Boulevard — especially if tuktuk is not allowed to enter.

Honestly, we were excited to see such a large room that was appointed nicely. The staff was great and very attentive to our needs. They arranged for transport from the peir and their staff was waiting for us to carry our baggage the last 500 feet. The food is the best in the area with specials every night. The pool was very clean and open for use 24 hours a day. The bar is fully stocked with some really great microbrew selections. We didn't scuba dive, but they clearly are top-notch in this arena. We did go snorkeling, which they arranged, and it was very enjoyable. It is without a doubt the best place to eat and stay in the area.

It would have been nice to have a sea view for dinner, but I think there are plans to make this possible in the future. It would also be unfair not to mention the short beach walk to the resort. If the boardwalk is continued to the hotel, that would be great. The staff is there, however, to carry your bags back and forth, so no real worries.

I've reviewed this hotel loads of times because we always stay there. It's the best hotel in Sabang in my opinion. We just stayed in a basic room this time. Small but clean and with good facilities with everything working. Good shower and TV Etc. It's a very high quality hotel which is well managed. The staff is excellent.

５階の部屋だったが、エレベーターが１階からは無く、３階から乗るスタイルで不便だと思った。 部屋やホテルに対して値段が少し高いと感じた。（直前の予約と土曜日だったからかもしれない） シャワーの水圧が弱く、シャワーの水も臭かった。

Funky access from end of road to hotel, walking on pitted (often wet) dirt/sand path. Pricey (for Philippines) but high quality dive resort. Tiny rooms (like stateroom on budget boat).

Was darf man für den Preis, das Umfeld tatsächlich erwarten.... Aus meiner Sicht gibt es mehr als ich bezahlt habe. Dive-Center ist technisch, bei der Ausrüstung, Qualität der Divemaster und Verläßlichkeit in der Planung wirklich außergewöhnlich. Das geht auch für mehr Geld kaum besser. Die Qualität der Küche mit frisch zubereitetem Frühstück, Tagesmenue, Karte ist wirklich gut. Ich hatte ein tolles riesiges Appartement. Das war echter Luxus, das Geld aber auch wert.

Die letzten 30 m Fußweg am Stand - Mein Tip: Nimm das Geld in die Hand und baue eine kleinen befestigten Weg zum Hoteleingang. Hat mich nicht wirklich gestört aber... ich habe meine Handy - Lampe angemacht...

Hôtel moderne, équipement de la chambre impressionnant, il y a tout !.même une fontaine à eau froide et chaude. Le restaurant est excellent. Le personnel ,. notamment à l'accueil est très sympathique, toujours souriant et disponible pour vous aider. Nous n'avons pas testé le centre de plongée qui a l'air très bien, car nous sommes allés à.un centre francophone proche.

Seule remarque, la piscine est accessible 24.h / 24 et il n'y a aucun règlement. Malheureusement certaines personnes sans savoir vivre se sont baignées bruyamment, habillées et à 23 h. Après m'être adressé à la réception, le personnel a mis.fin à cette situation.

スタッフ全員、明るくて感じが良く、楽しく滞在できました。3泊4日でしたがもっと長くいたかったです。 食事も数回利用させて頂きました、色々注文しましたが全部美味しく頂きました、特にハンバーガーが美味しく印象に残ってます。今回初めての体験ダイビングでしたが、インストラクターのジェシカさんがしっかりサポートしてくれたので、安心して潜ることができました、海中も綺麗で最高の体験でした！絶対にまた利用したいです！ありがとうございました。

Hard to beat for a diver. Right on the beach, equipment right there and retail shop, friendliest dive instructors (Liam, Aiu, etal), good food, great housekeeping and Maintenance, great pool, walking distance to Sabang is not bad. The staff here is excellent from Receptionists, waitstaff, maint, house keeping etc... These people are Gems!

The staff’s warm hospitality and the cleanliness of the facilities were perfect.

Above all, all the services were perfect (front desk, restaurant service, diving & tour staff, housekeeping, and the technical team in charge of equipment). I was especially impressed by the warm hospitality of the front desk and restaurant staff, as well as the quick problem-solving by the AC and electrical technical person

Spent a long weekend away with the gf. The hotel is lovely. The whole area is mainly focused on diving so if this is your thing then it’s ideal. The surrounding coral and species of fish are amazing. The surrounding area is spectacular so go out and explore.

Attention to details and the service of the team

I was very disappointed with our stay at the resort. The facilities were not clean, and the overall sanitation was poor. Unfortunately, my nephew got sick with amoeba, which we strongly believe was due to the unhygienic conditions. I hope the management takes immediate action to improve cleanliness and safety for future guests

The staff at LaLaguna are particularly great, they helped organise transport to and from the resort and were very attentive to our needs as a party of 15.

The staff was very friendly and the food was good. The room was of a nice size, clean and modern. This resort is diver paradise which provide training and daily excursions. However, if you do not intend to dive, this resort in not for you.

Second stay at LLV and, again, even being critical couldn't find a fault. Top notch room and amenities with speedy and always polite service. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for. The 109 steps up into room L88 are burning off some extra calories. Will be back!

the way how to get to your rooms we booked 6rooms and we’re all confused how to get there not enough elevator, it’s challenging for seniors to walk all the way up to their rooms but other than that it was good!

The Spa facility needs some improvements

Spacious, clean, comfortable accommodations at a reasonable rate. Only possible issue to some is that hot water for my shower was provided through solar heating and the water never really got warm in the mornings and evenings when I shower. The restaurant and bar were both great. The staff went out if their way to help with transportation to and from the resort. The LLV dive shop and divemasters and boatman made for fun, safe and memorable diving. I would come back.

Everything in the hotel works well. If you're looking to dive in Puerto Galera this stay is hard to beat. Food and drinks are very good. Staff is awesome. They can organize a BBQ picnic for you on a beach in no time. We will be back.

I liked the friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff including the housekeeping and maintenance team. They are always ready to assist your needs. I also loved the ocean view from the big balcony of our villa, it was amazing! We had a great time bonding while having a bbq dinner :) The 24 hour food order and amenities was also a plus for us. We liked that we can swim, play billiards and eat anytime :)

I think the stairs going to our 7th floor villa was a bit intimidating haha! The lift from the 3rd floor helped a lot with this issue. I just hoped the lift was on the ground floor. We ate mostly from the resort’s resto and we all feel as a group that the food was a bit too salty for our taste.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I spent 2 weeks diving and by the end it felt like home. The restaurant was delicious! The management and staff are gracious and accomodations were very comfortable. Can't recommend Lalaguna more.

It was a beautiful hotel with an amazing pool and restaurant. The food at the restaurant was amazing and the staff were so kind and helpful. It is a bit out of the way - so keep in mind that you might need to walk a bit to get back into town, but everything is also available at the hotel. I would recommend getting the hotel provided transport to and from the port. They will come pick you up in a private speedboat from the main park of town

We were only planning to stay 4 nights and due to Typhoon Carina, we had to extend our stay one more night since the ferry service from Port Baletero to Batangas City got canceled. Anne, the front desk supervisor, was very helpful and gave us similar rate to the Booking . com rate. We had 2 rooms reserved: the premium suite and a standard room for our daughter. The premium suite was spacious and had a large balcony with sea view. The standard room is in the older building & had a small kitchenette. We had to switch room on our 2nd day since the bathroom had foul odor that didn’t go away after maintenance took care of it. The resort had a restaurant/bar and the prices are on the high side compared to the other restaurants in the area. The Chef was accommodating to my special requests. They offer happy hour from 5-7 pm. Cocktails and wine are 25 percent off. Our primary reason for visiting Mindoro and staying in this resort was for scuba diving. They have state of the art equipment. It rained during most of our stay. I only had 1 dive per day during the morning. My husband and daughter dove twice a day. The resort location is close to town which is convenient. The staff were very nice, helpful, and friendly. They were also very responsive to my inquiry prior to arriving at the resort. It was our first time in Mindoro and figuring out the transportation options was a challenge. Overall, we enjoyed our 5 nights stay in this resort at the end of July.

The only thing that we wished for was the resort accept credit cards without the 4.25 percent charge. One important factor to consider is there are no elevators and there are lots of steps going up and down to our room.

A shared balcony, for those with mobility issues remember there are steps to climb for the higher rooms.

The staff were friendly, helpful and very attentive. The rooms were large, clean, comfortable and had great views. The food and drink were great and the pool was lovely after a day in the sun and sea. The location was great, right on the beach and you could swim 2m or so from the steps up to the lobby area. I saw a turtle while snorkeling around 50m from the hotel! The tv in the room had loads of tv and films including some very up to date titles (I put this last as it isn't as important as some other details but it was nice to chill in the room on occasion with a good film!). Can't over hype Lalaguna Villas enough! If you are a diver or an aspiring diver this place is epic. I would love to go back and do a full diving course with them but just as a freediver doing my own thing or snorkelling with the family it was amazing!

The "1/2 day snorkelling trip" organised through the hotel with a local boat operator, was around an hour and a half long at most and the spots visited weren't nearly as good as the island hopping tourl which was on one of the hotles own boats.

The resort itself is magnificent. Wonderful location and just a walking distance from Sabang PG. All the staff are friendly, helpful and caring to my family. They help us to organise all the transportation on the way to PG and back to Batangas. The foods they serving in the restaurant is top class. It’s a very safe place for my children. Very family friendly.

Everything was just great: the hotel itself, clean and comfy room, delicious food, top notch dive shop, last but not least - staff is amazing! Great atmosphere and you are being looked after whatever help you need.

The food could improve

A great resort with really lovely management and team. Made everything easy from start to finish. Dive team are awesome and the dive sites fantastic. Menu is great and only a short walk to other bars and restaurants. Highly recommend staying here

Having to leave

La laguna Villas is located right by the beach. Easy access to diving lessons. Staff are friendly and courteous. I can recommend this place if you want a clean place with a good view.

The team was impressive, cheerful, and friendly. Excellent caring service. Excellent food and drinks to enjoy between dives. Excellent dive shop, professional dive masters/instructors that took good care of us. Good and well-maintained dive equipment. The dive boat crew was good and caring too. Though we couldn't go to Verde Island due to the weather, they arranged a one-on-one dive at the Canyons, which was the most remarkable dive there for us. Obviously, sitting around good dive sites also contributed to our enjoyable experience in this resort. Room was well-equipped, clean, and spacious. Life was easy during our stay.

Food was amazing. The kitchen staff is on there game. All of the staff is excellent. Only negative comment is we were upgraded to the 8th floor and room was excellent but the stairs you have to climb to get there were rough. But the service and great drinks made us forget about climbing the stairs. Definitely will be going back.

Staff was very helpful and friendly

From the first contact the staff were wonderful, organising transport from Manila. Upon arrival to LLV first impression was awesome. I had booked PADI dive courses the reason for my trip. Very well organised and professional a special mention to my wonderful instructor Jha, thank you for your patience and skills taught and also thanks for all involved in the dive shop all there to make your diving experience the best and another thanks to the great boat skippers getting us out to dive site and back again. Great dive shop both at LLV aswell as their shop in Sabang. Very clean well organised resort, nothing was to much trouble for the staff. Great location with less than 10min walk to Sabang, dive boat at the doorstep, and the awesome staff both local and expats, very welcoming. Overall had great time both in resort and the awesome diving. As this was my first diving experience it was a great introduction. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this resort if just relaxing or seeking a dive experience. Once again thankyou all for your hospitality. 5✨️

a lot of noise from the outside to the room, started at 0600 with washing and filling of air tanks in the neighboring hotel, the restaurant in the neighboring hotel was only 2 meters away and you got the feeling you were lying on the outside
